This shop is huge, and they have a lot of things a customer might be looking for. The shop looks vintage and was actually designed with different sections for each category of item that they offer. They have a section for high-end clothing. They also have a section for housewares and furniture. The area for accessories is my favorite. There are a lot of cute items that can be found there. I bought items for my house, specifically kitchenware, including bowls, tea cups, mugs, and plates. Items here are a little bit expensive, but you can count on the high quality that each item has. The ambiance is giving off some vintage vibes, and each section in this shop is arranged properly. The customer service is great, and people are friendly. I had a great time buying items here.

There isn't a lot of apparel available, but there are lots of adorable housewares. The majority of the proceeds fund LGBTQ community assistance and health screenings, and everything is affordably priced. The staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant.

Really great quality clothes -- some with minor defects, some new. Came during the new years sale with my girlfriend and wound up with a pile of great clothes for $30. Definitely coming back again!

Not a huge selection of clothing but they have a lot of very cute housewares. Everything is reasonably priced and most importantly, proceeds go to health screening and support for the LGBTQ community. Employees are super friendly and helpful.

My favorite thrift store! Clean and organized! Super friendly atmosphere! Proceeds actually go towards something as well unlike Goodwill or Salvation Army.

My family and I stopped in yesterday to browse and see if we saw anything we liked. We did. But everything we looked at was extremely overpriced for a resale shop. We proudly support LGBTQ Community as we belong to it, but at those prices, it's hard to want to support this particular store. Very, very worn down furniture for 200+, we had more than enough to purchase, but I can get something brand new for close to that online. I just think a lot of the prices were a bit much and that will deter a lot of families in this economy. It's a lovely store, a great cause, but we just won't be back.

We got extraordinarily lucky going on on the one day there was a 30% any furniture purchases over $50 and scored big on a cabinet that now holds my board games and wood art. Definitely coming back!

LOVE THIS SPOT! I bought a new set of plates and a scone dish for $8 and they're so cute! The interior of the building is also pretty cool. I'm low key trying to move to Andersonville now so I can shop here regularly.

Wished they put more stuff on the floor. it's filled with huge pieces of overpriced furniture (specially in the Clark location) instead of useful things for the house and practical donations that see in the back and takes days to be put on the floor to buy(applies to Oakpark only). Ive seen items for weeks and should be marked down and make space for new ones. The older staff very attentive and caring.. the younger staff needs more training and need to be more engaging with clients and make them feel welcome (at Oakpark location) Overall its the best resale place to shop and they have a cause even greater than any other resale shops pretending to give back to the community and when they do it's just for marketing.

I love thrifting and this is hands down my favorite spot. Their clothing selection is small but curated with high quality, fashionable items. I find something nearly every time I go here without having to paw through a thousand racks. I've gotten several sun dresses for $1 and once got a floor length Ralph Lauren evening gown, tags attached, for $12! Have also gotten several furniture and art items here. Best of all, proceeds benefit Howard Brown Health Center.

I used to love coming here! They always had a great selection of clothing and shoes, but they also carried furniture as well. I read the reviews as I haven't been here in a few years and must say everyone was accurate when they said it was mostly furniture. I was surprised by how small the clothing section is now, it's literally 1/3 of what it used to be. I would deff check this out if you're looking for some used furniture, but for clothing I would look elsewhere.

Wonderful place for furniture, fashion and unique, unexpected finds. Friendly, helpful staff who aim to please are on hand to provide a personalised shopping experienced. We love dropping off gently used housewares and stuff to recycle. This is conveniently located and benefits the Brown Elephant Howard Brown Health charity. The space is a large warehouse staged with sitting areas of furnishings giving visual appeal to how one would use the items in their own space. There are plenty of wall art, vases, cabinets and plush sofas adorned with comfy throws. We love visiting to see all the new items that are constantly available.

The workers in this place are always courteous and greets everyone with a smile as they offer to assist you as you enter the store. They show so much professionalism and make you feel welcome every time you visit. The workers really appears to works well as a team. I love Brown Elephant, the store is always clean with new items on display which can be seen through the window even after the store is closed, you can window shop late at night for thirty minutes or more just admiring the windows displays.I LOVE BROWN ELEPHANT, this store is number one, this neighborhood is bless to have BROWN ELEPHANT

The selection was not expansive, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. We bought some soft cushions and they went out of their way to find us a bag that fit, and even gave us a discount! Highly recommend if you’re just browsing for furniture or women’s clothing, but you may not find what you’re looking for.

The BE always has the most high quality furniture. The prices are fair to me b/c they will negotiate with you if you purchase multiple items or are a regular. They also always have great deals like 25%-50% off furniture for whatever reason. The money also goes towards a good cause. Look it up.

Unusually friendly and kind staff. I used to be a frequent visitor to their other locations in town. This is a great spot too. Huge selection of furniture if that's your thing. Lots of clothes that are always in good shape. Always a nice selection of vinyl and CDs. Wish they had more electronics and toys, but that's just my thing... Wonderful place in a wonderful location. After you shop, visit the record store down the way, the cafe around the corner, then cross the highway for a visit to the conservatory, and then take the kids to the park. Sounds like an ideal time at the Oak Park arts district.

Furniture is priced high, clothes and other items more reasonably priced, always a good selection of items. Not a big selection of clothing if that is your goal though. Overall nice store, always friendly staff.

I have shopped Here for many years. I have up-graded many items in my home, thanks to the help of Gregory and many other staff members. They are more than helpful and kind My only regret is that I don't have more space for additional discoveries. I have donated as often as I can and encourage others to do the same, I go so far as to go to friends homes to collect donations and drop them off for them. It's great to shop where you know your money will serve the community. Please join me and donate and shop often.
