Went to check this place out. The place is hard to find because of a lack of signage. The staff was helpful in giving a tour. Lots of gear. Pretty high prices for used stuff. 60/40 split for sellers. Great selection of goods.

Highly recommend! The staff here are knowledgeable, thoroughly considerate, and compassionate beyond comprehension. James fitted me for a bike, went the distance to detail the operating of it's functions, and checked the PSI, while concisely and understandably explaining to me the importance of a tire pressure check. I got a great deal on my first road bike. I will- from now on- be going to this bike store exclusively. Best in Albuquerque at Outdoor Regear. I'm very happy and thank you all, again!

Solid spot, very impressed. Great group of people to help out, you can tell they're a relatable bunch. Tons of variety and selection. Some of the price is still steep but they do a good job of ensuring good quality items are on the racks.

Super awesome consignment store for outdoor gear. I went in looking for ski pants and skis with not much hope but found both in great condition for under $200. Will definitely go back to check stuff out before I buy new

Great idea. Proof our consumptive society is out of control. Buy, buy, buy. This store cant organize the used gear fast enough. It is literally stacked up on the floor waiting for shelf/rack space. Hopefully they can make it work. It is sorta like an outdoor gear goodwill store.

Wow, this is my new go to place for outdoor equipment. Buying used and well cared for goods is much better than new. Best of all, since this is a consignment shop, you're helping someone else out at the same time you're getting a deal. The Manager, John helped me out by showing me how to set up my purchase and giving helpful tips for later use. If you have a need for new outdoor equipment or have too much gear and want to make something back on it. This is the place to go!

Outdoor Regear is simply an incredible store. They are an asset to the entire outdoors community here in Albuquerque, and honestly throughout the Southwest. I’ve never seen anything like it. They recently moved into a new spacious location, and it’s still filled to the brim with perfectly organized, consigned outdoors gear in fantastic condition. The pricing is on point for the quality of what you are receiving, and it is a huge savings from places like REI. I found all of my favorite brands like Patagonia, Lululemon, Arc’teryx, and more. I’m so thankful I finally decided to stop in and it’ll definitely be a regular stop for me from now on. If you are anywhere near Albuquerque, you can’t miss this spot. It is perfection! I wish I could rate higher than five stars✨

They have some good stuff, and some not so good stuff doesn't hurt to stop by and look around. Don't expect to find a brand new 600 dollar board for half off, it seems like a lot of people go here expecting that.

I’ve never seen a place like this it is incredible to say the least. They have basically anything you could ever need to live an amazing outdoor life style, and their prices are the best part! The shopping experience is unlike any other as well! The employees give you a quick little tour of the shop if it’s your first time and then set you off to discover something great. They are always nearby to help with any questions, and are always trying to help you find what works best for you. There’s so much knowledge and kindness in this shop I cannot wait to go back!

Massive collection of used gear. They'll give you a full tour no matter what you're looking for. Very organized. They swap things out seasonally so of you don't see something, just ask! The owner was very friendly and even suggested a rock climbing book since I'm just getting started. Fair prices on high quality used gear.

The best place in Albuquerque. I have been through every square foot of Albuquerque and this is the best. It has the best stuff ftom the best people and its really good even if you dont really understand how you arrive anywhere , even now. Here , its all good. Sure , you may find something you did not want after careful consideration , and if youre lucky will get away without being amicably outfitted with relevant infornation that engages alll of what YOU wanted to do today , but it is all here , the reason you got up before noon.

Looking around by yourself, you may have trouble finding an item that you want, so talk to the staff. The owner is knowledgeable about the gear, and while the staff there are usually busy with inventory they will point you in the direction of the equipment that best suits you. There's no aggressive upselling, -- (In fact I saw some of the opposite today: "If that's why you're getting the jacket, why not look at these? They'll do what you need it to do, but it's not near as pricey." ) -- it's just them making sure that you will walk out of there with the gear that best meets your needs.

Interesting place. Huge selection of clothing stuffs, bicycles, kayaks, you name it. John was meticulous in describing a couple of items that we were interested in that hadn't been priced. It was nice to know he is so detail oriented. Didn't end up buying the item, but will no doubt be back in the future.

As traveling cross-county, as most adventures go, we were in New Mexico and needed to repair our camper. John helped us get the cash we needed for the repairs, and took time to help us find a safe new route up to Colorado. One that our camper could handle. They were more than generous and have wonderful, friendly staff that know their gear! One of the best outdoor shops we've seen with a vast selection.

Super fun place to shop and browse. It's a consignment store for everything outdoor sport related (not football/basketball etc related). The owner is really nice and informative. However he's swamped with more product coming in than he can tag and hang, so half the place is a mess. But that's what makes it more fun... hidden gems that haven't been alotted yet. If you go here, make sure you have plenty of time to browse because if you find something that hasn't yet been tagged, if you're kind and patient John (the owner) will get around to pricing it for you.

Things are priced high, but for the most part, it’s high quality stuff. Some outdated things that I thought were way overpriced. Their intake area is a disaster! They’ve GOT to figure out a better place for it, so it’s not blocking the door and the registers. It’s insane! But they’re nice people and they have good stuff! Great place, great concept: sell your gear, buy used gear, save money! Its a little overstuffed and not a lot in my size, and the prices might be on the high side for used stuff, but I haven't found an alternative so try it out.

I really love the concept of outdoor regear, but feel like they need to get a larger space, or simply get rid of some of the things that have been there forever. Have gotten some good deals here, but you have to look for a while or really know what you want - otherwise, ebay might be a better option for some. If it didn't feel so crammed/unorganized, I'd give it 5 stars in a heartbeat. Staff is friendly and willing to help.

I went to Outdoor Regear looking for a specific item for a hiking friend. Not only did John have exactly what I was looking for, but he gave me a do's and don't's lesson as well. If you are an outdoors person, this place is a hidden gem in ABQ! They need a larger location because there is stuff floor to ceiling in multiple rooms but John seems to know exactly where everything is. Love outdoor equipment but hate the corporate pricing? This is the place for you.

Outdoor Regear is a fantastic place with tons of gear for climbing, hiking, biking, skiing, and water-related sports. We visited for raincoats, and the shop owner, Mr. Mauldin, acted as our personal guide and assistant through the shop, giving us high quality advice on what to look for. The gear we decided on were from Eddie Bauer and Sierra Designs and were amazingly affordable. It was just our luck that a huge thunderstorm rolled in as we were checking out, and running out into the pouring rain with our new raincoats was thrilling. The gear held up perfectly as expected. Can't wait to take these coats to foggy, soggy Edinburgh!

If you're into recreation and the outdoors you need to visit this place! They have a huge selection on all types gear and clothing items. This is the place for a discounted recreational items such as skis, mountain boots and child supportive gear. Not all items are cheap however. Some items like the bicycles can still be expensive if they high end.

Once on the racks, I like the system of discounting items after certain sale dates have elapsed. In short: a lot of really quality, lightly-used outdoor gear for way cheaper than new and very knowledgeable staff. My girlfriend and I were looking to upgrade gear and got nice K2 skis, poles, two sets of Nordica boots, and a Helly Hansen parka for a fraction of the cost of what it would've been new. John is incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about outdoor activities as well. Is it a bit messy with new stuff coming in? Sure. But it's a consignment shop, not a 5th Ave. showroom.

If you love REI, Outdoor Regear will make you feel like you're a kid in a candy store. Lightly used gear is sold at a fraction of the original price. Inventory changes fast, so it's always worth stopping by whenever you happen to be in the area. Brands include Patagonia, Arc'teryx, Mountain Hardwear, Outdoor Research, Chaco, and some that you had no idea even existed.

It's not a huge huge winter selection, but I got a used Burton snowshell for cheap and it looks like it's maybe been worn once and hung up in the closet. The only thing I wish they had was more men's snow pants or bibs, but it's not even ski season in ABQ yet.
