Wheelers came through on short notice with a van rental to accommodate my wheelchair-bound father. I will use them again when I need an accessible van.

Contactless pickup and return worked well. There were some condition issues with the van that did not directly affect usability. These were discussed with agent both at pickup and on return. Overall, I would use this service again

Wheelers isn’t the best or most reliable accessible van rental company. My very first experience with them, they were to pick the van up from LAS apparently they left the van for an extended time period and the vehicle had “damage”. Worse they tried to hold a 700.00 deposit and didn’t tell me why until I called and demanded answers. Luckily we took time stamped pictures when we left the van to show they had no reason to hold my money. Not to mention they were quite rude and it took close to a month for my deposit to be released (no it wasn’t my bank either). So we figured maybe this was an isolated incident. So we rented from them again. It was a family emergency we needed to get to California from Las Vegas immediately. The van might as well had been a low rider. It was damaged, a shock or strut or something. One bump and we probably would have lost the rear end. In my wheelchair I felt every dip bump and dip that the interstate and streets had to offer. My wife literally had to place her hands on my shoulders to keep me planted in my chair as much as I was bounced around. It took forever to get any resolve to exchange the van while in California. Mind you this is a serious family emergency. Wheelers offered no compensation for the mishap. Once again my deposit took forever to be released. After realizing my first experience was not an isolated incident, I probably wouldn’t be renting from them again. As a disabled person paying 3-4x’s more than a regular vehicle rental is agonizing enough, but to not even equip the vehicles with something as simple as Bluetooth is a bit disheartening. If you are expecting one of the newer makes or models of accessible vehicles…it will not happen in Las Vegas. No, Toyota Sienna. No, Chrysler Town and Country. No, Braun made vehicles. Only the bare minimum Dodge Caravan. Stock made at best. No power ramp. Manual. No newer tie downs. Nothing at all to be excited about except being grateful as a wheelchair user to be able and be out with your family together.

My wife rented the van to get me to doctors, lab tests, etc. She spoke with Julie (located in Arizona), and everything about the experience was terrific. It was easy to set up the rental and provide information, and she went to a garage location near LAX, very close to our home, to pick up the van. Julie made everything so easy for her, and we highly recommend her . The van was very clean, everything worked well, and we couldn't have taken care of my medical needs without it.

I rented from Wheelers several months ago when we were in Las Vegas. I was texted the parking location of the van at McCarran airport along with a few pictures I needed to send of the van. Called when I got to the van and had they unlocked it, sent the few pictures, and we were on our way. When our rental was over we texted the parking location and a few pictures of the van and headed to catch our flight. What a wonderful and easy system! We have used them since at other locations and will continue to use Wheelers whenever possible!

Thank you, thank you! It was magical working with your team. Your satellite technology made the process seamless, very easy 21st century. You texted us where to pick up the van. We texted back pictures of license plate and other required info. Switching from texting to phone communication, you told us the hiding place of the keys. Minutes later off we went!
The side entry van was extremely adequate for me and my power power wheel chair. Strapping me in was quick and efficient.
Speaking with your knowledgeable staff was pleasant. Finalizing my billing was fair and simple.
i definitely will be calling, again!

This company is the best company I've ever dealt with. Their van was perfect for our needs. Making a reservation was super easy and they did everything exactly as they said. I will always call Wheelers first when I need to rent a wheelchair van.
