I brought my 8 year old here to get her first lobe piercing and my second lobe piercing. Both my daughter and I were a little nervous but the minute we walked in, the front desk was so welcoming. Our piercer Jade was so nice! She explained everything clearly and make sure my daughter wanted to continue on her own. She walked us through every step and made sure we were comfortable and happy before we we left. Would definitely recommend.

Throughout the years, all of my friends have always said, “Go to KOI!! If you’re getting a piercing, you have to go to KOI!!” They weren’t joking. I have never had a better piercing experience than when I went to Koi. It was miles better than the traumatic experience you get at Claire’s lol. Jade did my Daith piercing about a year ago and it’s been my only piercing to heal without any issues! She was quick and gave me thorough guidance on how to care for it during the long healing process. If you’re considering a piercing, absolutely book at Koi!

I've had only one less-than-stellar experience at this piercing studio, and it was with someone visiting their store. I've been there at least a dozen times. Much better experience here then at the studio where I moved. In fact, my experience has been so good that I come up to koi on my vacations to get things looked at and fixed. Whoever pierces you gives you their phone number so you can text pictures or ask questions when you're not there at the studio. I always feel more educated when I leave. The girls at the front desk actually know what they're talking about and can do good assessments. They're not just people at the register. The entire operation is professional and pleasant.

My 12yo and I went to KOI for our first ear piercings together. We were nervous and excited, but the staff made us feel more comfortable. We were give clear explanations about what was happening during our piercings, and how to care for them. Our piercings were carefully marked and checked to see that they were level/even on our lobes. We're both so happy with how they turned out. While it was worth the expense, I wish the breakdown of pricing was more clear on the website. I didn't realize we'd be paying for the piercing, plus the additional charges for each stud. I thought the pricing listed on the website included everything.

Love, love, this piercing studio. I have had my naval and nipples pierced here. The jewelry is expensive but well worth it. Love that they still make customers wear masks to keep staff and community members safe. Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Cat, she was so sweet, kind and patient while I made up my mind about a new belly ring. Thank you Koi!

I've been to this studio several times, some times to pierce myself, other times to support friends. I'm always extremely pleased with their aseptic techniques and methods of sterility and cleanliness. All the stories I've heard of those getting their piercings done here and I've yet to hear a negative experience. Their staff is always so respectful, informative and punctual. Their piercers are also so patient and understanding through the whole process; never pushy or in a hurry to get through their clients. A world class place to get pierced! Everyone here is so supportive, knowledgeable, and friendly. You'll as comfortable as it's possible to be while getting stabbed at Koi. In addition, I really appreciate their dedication to health and safety here. The place is absolutely spotless, and I'm a big fan of the continued mask mandate. I got my tongue pierced here by Michelle they did an amazing job with the piercing everything was clean and they answered all my questions and made me feel safe. The staff was nice and helpful. It was A little pricey ($95 before tip) but you get what you pay for so I think it was worth the price 10/10 experience! :)

This was an incredible experience! I was a little bit nervous about getting my nose pierced, but everyone made me feel really comfortable and safe. I got my rook pierced here years ago and had my nipples pierced somewhere else. I had to take them out for certain reasons and decided to come back to Koi when I wanted them done again. Jade did my nipple piercings and she did an AMAZING job. She was really informative, calming, and overall had a great demeanor throughout the entire piercing appointment. I was super nervous to get them done again but I was surprisingly calm the entire time! Jade was the best! I've been to cheaper places before but I do believe you get exactly what you pay for and I am super glad I came back.

All of the employees were fantastic, but I give JADE 5 starts. My 7 year old wanted her ears pierced for her birthday but she is nervous and anxious. Once back in the room, Jade introduced her herself to my daughter, and spoke to her Luke she's human and not just a kid. She explained that she doesn't like surprises and so she's going to explain/show her what she'll be doing/using. She told her that piercing her ears is a big decision and that it's okay if she changes her mind and no longer wants to do it. All she has to do is tell her to stop. After the first ear my daughter needed some time, Jade was patient, kind, we did not feel rushed while giving my daughter the comfort and reassurance she needed.

I had DeeJ (edit: don’t think he’s there anymore. See below: I recommend Cat!) for my belly button piercing and he did an amazing job. It has been two weeks since I had it done, and I’ve had exactly zero issues. One thing to keep in mind, if you’re worried about jewelry options, don’t be. They had plenty of colors and price points, and I walked out with a nice blue one. Everyone you ask will probably tell you to come here for a piercing, and for good reason. I was impressed from my initial appointment setting all the way through the procedure. You’re just not going to find a better place. Hey, just wanted to edit this review more than a year later. Nothing has changed about how I feel, but I wanted to add more, and add some photos! First, Cat is the person you want to see here. She’s done all of my piercings except for my initial belly button, first two lobes, and a couple private ones. So, if you’re keeping score, that means she’s done 12 of mine not including different downsizings and jewelry changes along the way. She’s amazing and deserves your body as a canvas, as you’ll see in the photos. Yeah I actually don’t have much more to add, just go here, you’ll be happy. I’ll add the full frontal set up once I get a pic with good lighting ☺️

Michelle was amazing. I got both my septum and nostril peirced, they really took their time explaining the entire process and answering any questions I had. It has been 2 weeks and I haven't had any issues with my peircings following the aftercare instructions I was given. I also brought my neice here to get her ears peirced (with her mom present) pre-covid and Cat was really good with her. I highly recommend KOI if you are looking for quality and professionalism.

So far I've gotten my septum, right nostril, philtrum and vertical labret all done by cat here at koi. I love koi and this is the only place I trust to do piercings on me. Every time I go in it always feels welcoming and professional! not to mention I love all the jewelry they carry. This place is great! It is clean. The staff is professional. They have a huge selection of good quality jewelry. We got there right as they opened their doors, and were able to pick out our jewelry and change our piercings within a half hour. However, the place was packed and people getting a piercing had a 1 hour wait. Plan ahead, but it is worth the wait.

I have gotten 11 piercings here (4 that can't be discussed in polite company) and have never had a bad experience. They're very professional and the jewelry is really high quality. I've had my Industrial and eyebrow for about 10 years now and still have the original jewelry in them. There can be a bit of a wait and the waiting area is tiny, but I would still highly recommend coming here for anyone wanting a piercing or if you have any questions.

I was not allowed in during my daughter's piercing. I don't know if their just being extra safe or what. However, my wife and daughter both indicated the experience was good. Instructions were clear, the shop was clean and well maintained. Prices send a little steep but it was acceptable to make sure the piercing was done right. My daughter has had minimal swelling and seems to be happy with the experience.

I Brought my daughter in to get her ears re-pierced due to a horrible experience with clairs. From the moment we walked in dealing with front desk registration stuff, to picking out jewelry then working with jade and going through the piercing process was amazing. I loved getting my ear pierced here. I got my daith done. The piercer was super nice, she was experienced and nice enough to answer any questions I had. I will definitely come back. The jewelry selection was limited for brand new daith. Especially since I had to get a bigger hoop so my ear would swell over the earring. But overall I had a great experience and I love the earrings I was able to get and piercings.

My daughter is 9 and when she was almost 8 I took her to Clair's in the mall now closed, to get her ears pierced for the first time. They were always infected and red, and put so far down on her lobe that the earings would tip almost upside down. So we took out the earings and let her ears heal. I had a friend go to this place for earings and recommend it to me, I looked them up online and read almost every review. I took her down on a Friday and they were packed!!! Like wall to wall, it was a little overwhelming to be honest. We filled out the paperwork and went to see how long it would be. We left and went to lunch. When we got back, it was way better not near as many people. They got us right back and did such an amazing job, she was nervous and the girl was great with her. No infections, red the first 2 days and hardly any pain. I recommend this place to everyone!!! Love it. Pictures start from nervous to done!

I've gotten both my lobes and new single helix pierced at Koi, and was impressed with their customer service each time! They adhere to strict social distancing guidelines and mask use policy. A bottle of hand sanitizer is at the ready on the reception counter. The piercing artists are very friendly and professional. Before they touch anywhere that you can't see, they always tell you what they're doing and what's coming next, leading to an easy procedure that's over in minutes. It's a friendly and supportive atmosphere where you can feel safe. After the procedure, you are free to check out the new jewelry and ask all the questions you want. They send you off with a business card and their number for you to text in case you have questions about the recovery or anything else down the road. I would definitely recommend Koi to friends looking to get their next (or first) piercing!

I have been coming to Koi since I was 16 (with parents permission). They have done most of my piercings and I am always satisfied with the services I received. They have a very large selection of jewelry, I came here recently for an install because I was having some issues doing it myself. I got hoops installed in my healed piercings in my ears and nipples and they were really gentle and know exactly what they are doing. I would recommend them to everyone. I used to have Patrick do my stuff, but everyone there is awesome.

Studio was really clean and nice. Front desk staff were super nice and helpful. I don’t typically leave reviews but Cat did my piercing and she was very patronizing. I did not feel welcomed by her, nor like I could ask basic questions about the piercing without her being snappy and annoyed. I asked one question twice, which apparently she had already answered but I didn’t hear, and she responded by telling me that “it's because i'm not listening” like I was in Kindergarten. Not true, she was talking fast (also muffled by a mask) and I was nervous. Anyway, I felt really uncomfortable with the way she talked to me immediately upon meeting me and I regret that I didn’t just walk out without getting the piercing like I had the thought to. I don't understand why some artists have this attitude toward piercings/tattoo newcomers (if you've been to any piercing or tattoo studios you know the vibes I'm talking about), but it makes for a very not enjoyable experience for everyone involved. For those wondering about jewelry selection, I would recommend buying your own jewelry or visiting beforehand if you're not wanting to spend $50 for a stud. My friend got a single third ear lobe piercing that was $100+.

Far and away the best place anywhere for piercings. My daughter decided she wanted her ears pierced, so we made an appointment. My daughter is very nervous in new situations and struggled emotionally the whole time to the point that we almost had to leave. Jade was her piercer and was more patient, kind and understanding than I could have ever been in that situation. After almost an hour of calmly talking to her and explaining everything and a few tears, my daughter walked out with both ears pierced. She loves them. Thank you KOI for hiring such fantastic staff. My experience with koi was amazing! I was greeted by some very kind employees right as I walked in. They helped me pick out the perfect jewelry and had me wait until my piercer was ready. Michelle was the one who pierced my septum and helix and they were absolutely amazing. They walked me through the entire process and made me feel a lot more comfortable with everything. I absolutely love it here. I went in today to get my septum re-pierced and then do two new piercings on my nostrils. Tristyn was the first employee I met who walked me through my jewelery options with a wonderful and friendly disposition, she made me feel very comfortable being a first timer and made the whole check-in and check-out process smooth and easy - she was so fun to be around and made me feel very good with the compliments on my shirt! My piercer was Michelle, who was an amazing person to talk to and get to know and learn from. They also helped me feel as comfortable as possible, communicating the next step of the piercing before actually doing it, and made the experience all around amazing. My septum had to be stretched since I had my initial out for at least a month - and while that whole process made me cry like a baby, Michelle was my cheerleader and helped me feel like such a confident baddie with my new piercings by the end! Michelle is incredible and I'm so delighted by the conversations we had, I would love to get pierced by them again soon. I'm really happy that Koi is still taking Covid seriously, there were very few people waiting in the lobby with me before I got pierced and only a few more by the time I was leaving. All the jewelry they have here is so pretty, and everything about the studio itself just felt open and clean with a friendly ambiance. I can't wait to come back here to get my ears pierced once my face heals up!

The people at KOI we're absolutely amazing! They were all so helpful. I was getting my ears pierced and Jade was especially awesome, she walked me through what she was going to do and assured me she would tell me everything she would do. She helped me take deep breaths and was very assuring. And their instructions were so very clear. I went to Clare's a few years ago and my ear holes were completely in opposite directions, and you had to put the earring in at an angle. 10/10 👌🏼

Cat pierced my ear lobes. Despite these being pierced before (having closed up) I was nervous and she was very nice and put me at ease. The piercing itself she did quickly and professionally. Shop was extremely clean, efficient, all staff were helpful and friendly. The covid precautions were A+, which was very important to me. I would recommend this shop, and will come back if I ever want anything else pierced in the Salt Lake area.

I usually have a great experience at Koi. However I got my second lobes repierced here recently and was very disappointed with the customer service and how my piercings ended up. Again. My piercer was very condescending and I felt extremely uncomfortable. I was very polite with my 3 or 4 placement change requests and apologetic of this, which I shouldn’t have even felt the need for, since they are MY ears. Her responses were extremely patronizing and it was obvious she was annoyed by the tone of her voice combined with her stomping through the hall to the front desk to check if they were running behind. Overall, I felt my input was not heard. I realize that she and all of the piercers “do this for a living”, but part of doing this for a living is learning to listen to your customers. The way my piercings look affects me more than her. I should have been able to comfortably give input without it being immediately invalidated. If my piercer and her handy little measuring stick point to one piercing location but I—as the one actually GETTING PIERCED—want this location slightly tweaked, my piercer should listen to my input or at least respond in a way that shows she cares about how her customers feel, not just about being “right”. It’s unfortunate that this one bad experience with one piercer changed my feelings towards Koi. I will not be returning, since they have messed up my second piercing twice now and clearly don’t care if their staff have customer service skills.

I had a really great experience. I called early with any questions I had and was well informed of COVID precautions in place, pricing of jewelry, and my options, as well as aftercare. Everything went as expected-- much better, actually. The jewelry options were beautiful and high quality . Cat pierced my septum and I felt the most minimal pain. There was more when placing the ring but it was very tolerable. Cat kept me well informed on what she was doing and instructed me clearly. The placement was exactly how I'd described I'd wanted. I was so surprised at how pretty it was and how well Cat did that I cried when I saw it for the first time. Everyone in the lobby was so kind and excited to see it afterwards. I'd been so nervous that I really needed all the support I felt from everyone.

My experience with KOI Piercing Studio was amazing. I saw a story post on Instagram about call ins [it was a Saturday], so I called them and scheduled an appointment to go there at the same day for a septum piercing. Last night one of the front pieces was missing to my daughter's earring, thankfully the post and back remained in place. I called and they made and appointment for today to get a replacement. Michelle instruced me how to keep post secured unil we could get in.My father passed away unexpectedly that evening in another state so I was not really on my game and arrived late and the staff were still so kind replaced he piece without any hassle which was unexpected because stuff happens. Cat was so sweet to daughter and even checked her other earring for me. They had no idea what had happened but their kindness and professionalism really meant a lot to me.

This was first ever piercing and was told I needed to go here by everyone I asked. I have terrible migraines and nothing would help. I started looking into getting my daith piercings about a year ago. I heard from people who went elsewhere that it hurt the second it went in and didn't stop hurting for 6 months. There was a good amount of pressure when she actually did it but I wouldn't actually call it pain. About 12 hours later I'm still without pain from the piercings. If you need any sort of piercing, you'd be crazy to go anywhere else.

Went with a friend and the first impression was awkward, such an unwelcoming vibe! We went a bit earlier than the time for the appointment so we could look and pick at the jewelery but that was impossible; It looks like they can only see 1 person at a time, which is fine, but she didn't at least set that expectation... she just brushed us off like Yeah, your appointment is a 7:00 and proceeded to shut the door in our faces. We ended up waiting, my friend went in by herself and got her piercings, they were fine, but the experience and customer service were 100% thumbs down 👎 weird!

They do an awesome job! I’m happy with the way my septum piercing turned out. I was a little confused about the price of the jewelry, and at checkout it wound up being wayyyy more than I expected. Like they gave me the price for the ring but added on more later for the balls they put on as well. Overall $95 for the piercing and jewelry doesn’t seem totally unreasonable, but a little more clarity would have been helpful. Edit: Changed from four stars to five. The studio reached out to me and explained the pricing, and offered to replace part of the jewelry that broke. :)

Piercing was practically pain free and did hurt after with minimal swelling.

It's gonna cost you more then you think. I had one ear re-pierced because it had grown over during the pandemic. They put a really long post in it. Looked like it was falling out of my ear. I had them put an earring in my other ear just to match my new one. Even though it wasn't a new piercing they used a post that was too long and also looked like my earring was falling out. I wrote them to explain the problem. I guess this is standard procedure in case your ears swell up. Mine didn't swell. I didn't know medical grade titanium could make your ears swell up that huge. Guess I was lucky! Beware though... they don't tell you during that first piercing that this is a temporary situation(new piercing or not) and that you have to buy and wear the not good looking really long posts for 3-4 months. After you wait the 3-4 months you have to make another appointment and go back in after the initial piercing and install and buy new shorter posts that fit. I guess they wont put in a correct size at first and it costs another $51 to buy new posts that actually fit your ears. I was surprised. The girl who pierced my ear was very kind and professional. The blond girl who helped me when I came the second time just kept barking at me to stop touching my ears. She could have explained why she didn't want me doing that but she just kept barking at me. I finally asked because it was so annoying. I guess because my ear had been pierced 4 months earlier and was considered an open wound. However one of my ears has been pierced since I was 8 years old... she still kept barking even if i touched that ear. It felt rude. She could have been kind and explained why in the first place.

She spent lots of time placing my piercings & ensuring they were even. Take all the one star reviews with a MAJOR grain of salt. The jewelry prices are completely standard for implant grade jewelry and they have a very wide variety of options in all price points. And being upset they require masks is illogical, of all the places you would want to be cautious this is one. I'm very happy to see them take sanitary/saftey precautions. I got 2 piercings done by Cat, my conch and a navel. SHE WAS PERFECT. She has the most calming energy and my overly anxious self was completely at ease. She explained everything that would happen and my aftercare very well. I will absolutely be back for more!

The first time I got a specific pair of piercings done, I went to a different shop. And I found out right away that the piercings were done crooked, so I had to take them out and let them heal. And friend told me to try Koi, and let me know they'd had positive experiences with them in the past. I took them up on their recommendation, and I'm really happy with the results. The piercer who helped me was Deej. They were professional, their work space was incredibly clean, and their explanations were clear. The repiercing is better than I could have hoped for. I can already tell the piercing is much better aligned. And the instructions they gave me for after care make so much more sense than what I was told at the other shop.

I've been going to KOI since I was 14 or 15, when I got my first lip piercing. I remember the counter staff being kind of rude back then, but they've since gotten new people, and they're so much better (I'm 19 now). They all have really good and empowering energy and I love interacting with them. It feels so rad to walk in, tell them what you want, and be replied to with a "hell yeah!". The piercers are very professional, the jewelry is beautiful, and the studio is very clean and you can tell they take their practice seriously. I'm gonna miss this place when I move! Koi has been my go-to piercing shop for the last decade. The piercers and front staff are so friendly and patient, never pressuring me to make a decision or to do something I’m not comfortable with. They help me make decisions on jewelry and talk it all through with me. They’re so good that when I moved to a different state I’ll still hold off on purchasing additional jewelry or another piercing until I’m back to visit. I went recently to get a new hoop for my conch piercing. They’ve moved to be appointment-only, which is an extra step but also drastically reduced the amount of time I had to wait to be seen. Personally I’d rather wear a mask for twenty minutes than wait in the lobby for 45. I really can’t recommend Koi enough. They’re professionals at all stages- from kids getting their first piercing to adults getting nipple piercings, they are top notch for everything.

Amazing! I did just a second love piercing with Caterina. She was so wonderful. She would explain what she was doing while she was doing it which was extremely helpful because I'm not the greatest with needles. It didn't hurt as much as the punch ones you would get in like Walmart. I need to edit and redo my previous review. Unfortunately, due to some misinformation and confusion, I came to an unfortunate conclusion. As I said before, the technicians doing the piercing are amazing. They really do go above and beyond to do a good job and explain everything. This is not a quick process. They do want to do an amazing professional job, and get it right. This definitely influences the wait time. In my experience, if there is a long wait time, longer than you are willing to wait, simply come back another day. It is definitely worth it to deal with a professional reputable company. I really would not go anywhere else. As far as the special order jewelry company that they go through, I am very happy with the product that I ordered. It is a beautiful piece. As being able to do a custom design, there is a bit of expertise required to get what you want. When done correctly, you will be extremely happy with your purchase.

I've gone to Koi for a number of piercings, and their professionalism, care, and quality is second to none in the state—at least for my experience. Of the negative reviews I've seen, they seem to all stem from assumptions made by the customers (of whom, it seems like none of them ever visited Koi's very informative website) regarding how much time they'd have, last-minute alterations or requests, and/or complications to their expected experience due to the recent COVID unpleasantness. Koi has always been responsive to my questions, and whenever they've had the ability/time to, have made accommodations for me. In short, check the website, review their details, and if after looking through their work and their policies, you feel like comfortable, COME HERE FOR YOUR PIERCINGS.

We had a great experience here at Koi. My 6 year old had a bad piercing job done elsewhere so we let it heal and came here. They have a great selection of earrings to pierce with. Very friendly, knowledgeable made you feel relaxed. Great sense of humor. This place is very very busy and can be hours to get in. Keep trying back. Once they said it was a four hour wait. So I went back a few months later. The same unhappy girl said it was a 1 hour wait which turned in to a 2 and a half hour wait. Not enough seating. We sat on steps.

Deej was super nice and redid two of the piercings because I was being so picky about spacing and location. only complaint is a long wait time at the front. Patrick was absolutely amazing with my 8 year old. He took extra care to keep her at ease and smiling through her ear piercing. My daughter is quite shy around new people but he quickly got her out of her shell and engaged in conversation like they were old friends. He talked to her about what she was feeling and when she mentioned she was scared he validated her and let her know it was okay to be scared especially when we know we are safe. He made sure she was informed and comfortable. He was playful and fun while also being direct and professional. He took extra time to get the piercing right so her ears (each of her lobes have different widths and angles) to match. He was very detailed as he discussed follow up care. I highly recommend Koi and specifically Patrick for your child's first piercing. Also have to chime in about how much I appreciate that they have parents of underage children bring in birth certificate and that they value the child's consent and autonomy. My daughter was asked to sign in addition to us parents. Claire's has been in the news for piercing children who are not consenting because the parent wants their ears pierced.

I've been to Koi several times over the last 5 years or so. I've worked with both DJ and Patrick and always made to feel comfortable by them. Patrick, I feel, really takes time to understand what you're wanting and explain as much or little as you'd like to know. I have fairly conservative personal piercing tastes, and was worried I I'd feel awkward. The front reception area staff has changed over the years and most of my visits have been very comfortable. Current staff is really outstanding and open to any questions. Really appreciate the atmosphere going on in this place.

My 5 year old daughter had her ears pierced with Michelle. She was amazing with my daughter. Explained everything clearly. Even went as far as to let my daughter know that it is her body and it will be up to her to let Michelle know when she was ready and that she can stop at any time. I loved the emphasis on consent! Patrick did my under eye microdermal, cleavage dermal and hood...we were finished in about a half hour, he was personable and answered all my questions. The front desk staff was nice and were also helpful. During Covid, please remember to bring a mask (you can't come in without one), call from the parking lot to let them know you've arrived and they'll let you know when to come in. There isn't another studio that I'd recommend for piercing, I'm extremely happy with every piercing I've gotten there since 2002.

I got my daith pierced on both sides, by Cat, in April. It was such a wonderful experience. The staff was super friendly and answered whatever questions I had. I got there an hour before they opened on a Saturday, there was already a line, and only had to wait about an hour to be pierced. It was done so quick and so well, I am so impressed with Cat's techniques and customer service. I was a litte but anxious, but she was so sweet and friendly and made me feel so comfortable. The prices were also not that bad, I went in expecting to spend a couple hundred, and was definitely surprised when I got my receipt. If I ever get any other piercings, I will absolutely go here.

A small well decorated storefront with a large selection of higher end Jewelry for the more alternative types. Alot of eccentric art that matches the ideals of most piercing studios. In all honesty I have only purchased jewelry here and have not been pierced here, but from word of mouth this is one of the best shops in the valley. Storefront was clean and seemed very busy. The front of shop girl was also very helpful in assisting my wife in buying some expensive earrings. I have no plans of getting any piercings, but if I was going to this would be my first stop.

The five stars I'm giving is because of DJ. I have had my lobes pierced up to my thirds before. Never pierced any cartilage. I was extremely nervous going into this. A friend recommended going to KOI. I drove all the way from Eagle Mountain to get my helix's pierced. The studio is small but very well maintained and very clean. They have great jewelry selection which I loved! The girl who helped me was great and very patient with me while I was deciding what I wanted. There was another girl working the counter who was not very pleasant at all. She was rude and seemed to not have any patience. Never even saw a smile. She looked annoyed anytime I had a question. Anyways, DJ took me back and I explained I was very nervous about the piercing. He was great and funny and really calmed me down. He ended up suggesting the piercing positions and everything. I completely trusted him and LOVED how it turned out. He made me feel very at ease and comfortable. I will definitely be going back just because of him!

I got my seven year old daughter's ears pierced here. Michelle pierced her ears. She was so patient with my nervous daughter. She explained everything she was going to do, she told her there would be no surprises. Most importantly, she told my daughter that it was her body, so my daughter was in charge. If she needed a break, that was fine. Michelle patiently waited until my daughter said she was really ready. She never rushed her. The whole thing (piercing both lobes and jewelry) cost about $120. The piercing was only $30, the rest was the jewelry cost, which was more than I had anticipated. I had called before hand and they told me that jewelery starts at $30. I didn't realize that was per earing, not per pair.

I just got an industrial piercing this evening! Frank was super friendly, and was chatting with me and my boyfriend as he was working on the placement to help me calm down. I’ll be honest, the piercing did hurt, but he was quick and gentle throughout the process, so it was just a bit of pain. He also gave me comprehensive aftercare instructions. I highly recommend this place! Their jewelry is pricey but worth it. Everything is organic or implant-grade titanium or steel, or high quality gold. They don’t do appointments, only walk-ins. Expect to wait a while, but you can leave and run errands or something and they can call you when your number is close. Totally worth it, and if I decide to get another piercing, they have my business!

He is VERY professional and he kept everything exceptionally sanitary, the piercing process didn't take long at all. Cat's service was great. But I went the day before to sterilize my earring as it said in their rule and it was closed. I went to get my piercingand they did not want it to sterilize my earring and I bought two earrings. One daith and one upper lobe and I still questioning to myself, why they charged me for my daith and twice two more piercing. At the end I paid almost $100 dollars for two piercing and I took the cheapest ones. I don have time to go there and complain about it.

Girlfriend just got her septum redone here after a botched job at Ace's. Patrick was PHENOMENAL. He was honest, kind, and very gentle with the piercing. He measured and checked with her to make sure everything was as she wanted. He took his time and did not rush. He found her "sweet spot" higher in her nose where it actually was, rather than the cartilage that was unnecessarily pierced the first damn time. Employee are very kind and inviting. Patrick was more than happy to answer any questions, including being straightforward about the initial septum's very low piercing. He was amazing and it didn't hurt whatsoever, as it should be. My girlfriend would 100% go again and will also be recommending from now on :)

The girl helping us was very helpful and I didn't feel like she hated her job as others had stated. She helped us pick out jewelry and was well prepared to answer our questions. They told us it would be a 30 min wait, which is was. We went with Deej, and he was fantastic. We joked around and he made us both feel at ease. After the piercings were done he went over in detail how to care for our piercings. He did a great job and we will definitely be back again. The piercing fee was $25, plus the cost of jewelry and tip. Make sure to tip well cause they are awesome!

Patrick was awesome with my philtrum piercing. He was very careful and patient with getting the placement just right. I've never had a piercer who was that thorough, and I believe because of him checking the placement of my teeth, etc, I'm experiencing very few annoyances that usually come with philtrum piercings. It's not rubbing or getting caught on my teeth at all, and it's completely comfortable despite the typical swelling. The ladies at the front desk were also amazing with helping me decide jewelry. Let me start off by saying our piercer, Cat, was phenomenal. Very kind, professional, and personal. The piercing was not nearly as painful as I had anticipated, and Cat made the whole experience very enjoyable. The prices of the jewelry are rather steep. For example, a pretty little stud I liked was $250 and it wasn't even real opal. Needless to say, I went with a different piece. It's also annoying that the prices aren't listed anywhere, so you have to ask about every single piece you have your eye on. I think there needs to be a more efficient way to go about this. Additionally, the staff at the front wasnt very friendly, and acted annoyed when I asked questions about jewelry pricing (again, easily remedied with a little work). Overall, it was good. Not great, but good.

Great customer service overall. I really like that they let you choose from a wide range of jewlery right when you walk in. The piercing itself went really well. You can tell that they know what they're doing from how the piercers communicate with each other. They also take into account your body and what will work best for it, which is important. Very glad I got my Daith piercings done here. I was antsy about getting them done because I had only ever gotten my lobes pierced before when I was 18. I pierced my Daith's for the most common reason; a holistic way to help with my daily migraines. The staff was very knowledgeable and upfront about how there had never been any studies done supporting or discrediting whether the piercing actually helps with migraines. Piercer was friendly but the counter girls were pretty rude. The whole building was very clean. They wouldn't allow you to make an appointment in advance so you had to come early, check in, and come back in 2 hours when it was your turn. I had gotten there exactly when they opened as well so that gives you a good idea as to how busy they really are. When it came time to pick jewelry they only had one choice because they had been sold out of their other choice for several months. Wish they had more of a variety because you shouldn't get your jewelry changed until you've had them in for a year, according to the piercer.

They were busy on the Friday I came in and told me it'd be a 1.5 - 2 hour wait, but offered to call me when it was closer to my turn, so I could come back. I waited there and it did take a little more than an hour. The girls at the counter were SUPER nice, informative, and friendly, even when I was asking 20 questions and changed my jewelry choice twice. DJ pierced me and I would ask for him again/recommend him. Reason being I had my helix pierced twice before by two other professional shops, and my ear ended up hurting for days after, but I stepped off of DJ's table with hardly any pain. I really appreciated it. He also really knew his stuff, and was so friendly and considerate.

Our daughter got her ears pierced. The service was quick and the person doing the piercing was great and patient and walked her through each step to help ease her fears. The cost is much more than something you would get at the mall but the quality of product is much higher and it is a professional doing the work not just any employee. Even though the piercer themself was great it doesn't seem like they pierce a lot of kids ears. The person that helped us when we first got there seem annoyed and gave us information contrary to the care pamphlet they provided post service. They also spent more time talking behind the counter to each other then helping customers. There also wasn't a lot of instruction for care or post care but I also didn't ask.

Super awesome shop! They only take walk ins and I got there a few minutes before opening and there was already a pretty good line forming. It took about and hour and a half to get my piercing. Patrick was my piercer and he’s just an all around amazing person! Got my snakebites here about 3 weeks ago. Long wait, but definitely worth it. Sundays much busier than you would think. Two piercers worked on my lip, I forgot the girl's name, but she was the tiny one with big glasses and two dermal anchors on her forehead, super sweet too, and Patrick. Patrick was amazing. My lips are shaped funny, so one side had to be adjusted, and he was the one to fix it, and I barely even felt it even though I'd already been stabbed on that side once. Incredibly clean and meticulous. Definitely going back for more! Would highly recommend!!

Everyone has their bad days for sure, but anyone who legitimately gives this studio a poor review has to be on crack. I have pretty intense social anxiety, but every time I've gone to this studio to get a new piercing, I've only ever left happy, not only with the work of my new jewelry, but the social interaction in the process. That, to me, means a LOT. Yesterday, I went in to get a triple helix piercing and, although I've had many piercings done, I always get anxious almost purely due to the social interaction. I will NEVER go anywhere else other than Koi for SO many reasons. I went in and the blonde jewelry connoisseur (I didn't get your name, I'm sorry) was SO sweet the entire time, from checking in, giving suggestions and advice in helping me pick out my jewelry, to after the piercing. I might have felt like just another customer coming in, but she definitely made me feel like they really care about what they do and the outcome - she even commented how my triple helix complemented another of my piercings. She really felt like a friend and I love that! On top of that, Frank (piercer) was SO nice the whole time! Not only was he PERFECT with the actual location of the piercings (he showed me the points first, but he was spot on), but he was checking with me, how I was doing during the piercing and movement of the rings (due to the pain), but also really just made me feel super comfortable with normal conversation. I LOVE KOI 9000%. I've never had a poor experience with any of the staff - they don't view you as just another customer, they treat you like a person, which is amazing to me. They're such genuine people and each time I've gone they've made me feel like a friend, which for me, makes such a huge impression. I have a good amount of piercings and anytime anyone asks me for a recommendation, you BEST BELIEVE I'm sending them to Koi.

My experience at Koi was nothing short of amazing. My husband and I adopted our teenage foster daughters a couple months ago. They had both been wanting nose piercings for awhile so I decided to surprise them on their adoption day and take them to get pierced. It was the day of our adoption so I obviously hadn’t had a chance to get birth certificates to prove their age so Koi worked with me and took our adoption papers as proof of their age and of my guardianship. I also got my nose pierced at the same time my daughters did. Everything was incredibly clean and all the staff working were very professional and kind. After we were done being pierced and I went to pay the bill they informed me that they had covered all THREE of our piercing fees because they wanted to help us continue celebrating such an important day! Before leaving my review I really want to point out the importance of showing up at or before the time they open for the best and quickest service, as waiting is the major complaint I read in these reviews. I asked about prices, ran home for my wallet, came back, and was seen in about an hour total. I had two earrings with the flat backs installed, so this review is on installation and not piercings. I had a lovely time here yesterday. Upfront they were able to give me an exact number for what the final cost would be for many options before I even was seen or checked out. This is one of the complaints that I see that it's going to be expensive - but remember that you're paying for the jewelry, the installation, the sanitization, the piercers time + job experience, and the equipment that is used. The piercer was able to open up a piercing that I thought was closed for nearly a decade. This saved me the fee of getting one part of my earlobe repierced later, I'll have to come back for piercing the other closed up one! Installing two of their smaller earrings was $75.

He made sure that the piercings were lined up, even though her lobs were a little off, which I of course never noticed on my perfect little girl. But he showed me what he did, why he did it, and I was so impressed. I have seen other little girls with misaligned piercings, which is horrible, so I was very concerned about that. I had previously gotten my septum pierced by another shop that didn't do so well so they fixed it up for me! It hurt much less, didn't take as long, and healed quicker. Leaving this review after I went somewhere else for a piercing and had it go REAL BADLY. It made me appreciate how good of a job Koi does. Koi has done two cartilage piercings for me in the past and they’ve always been super knowledgeable and professional and both piercings healed well thanks to their instructions. The only complaint I have is that the wait time is always soooo long. Be prepared to hang out for quite a while.

I just got my helix pierced at Koi today. They did a really wonderful job making sure everything was sanitary and that I was comfortable during the process. I can’t give 5 stars though because when I emailed Koi about pricing, they said I could purchase jewelry for a helix piercing as low as $19, but that was not the case. The cheapest jewelry was $35. It would have been nice to know this when going in, so I didn’t feel a little blind sided about the price.

My mom and I got our cartilage pierced and the guy that pierced us was very nice, helpful, and the place was really inexpensive and the girls at the desk were very nice too!! I had came to Koi on a weekend first, and it was too packed, about a 3 hour wait it would have been, so I decided to come back on a Wednesday when they opened (Which was 12:30 in the afternoon) Patrick took down all of my information and was super helpful, really nice, and incredibly knowledgeable about jewelry and what suits your face type. It was about an hour and 40 mins wait time (this place is packed for a reason, totally worth it in my opinion) Deej (DJ) took care of me, I was re-gauging me ears, and getting my septum pierced. He did so good, really friendly, made the process smooth, had some laughs, and his work is great. They help you with after care, and answer any questions you have. Great place, 10/10 would get stabbed in the face again <3

I accompanied my mom here for a daith piercing she wanted to get to hopefully combat the horrible migraines she gets. The check in process was easy. There waiting room is quite small so you might end up standing if it's busy. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and had over an hour wait (you apparently can't make appointments). Patrick ended up doing my moms piercing and she couldn't be happier with his service. He knew what he was doing and was extremely clean and gentle with the piercing process. I thought the prices were fair and would definitely recommend anyone go to Patrick for their piercing needs. Also, my mom's migraines haven't disappered but have gone down considerably in terms of frequency and severity, might be a placebo effect but we'll take what we can get!

Wait is super long. But totally worth it. I went in 7 minutes after the opened on a Friday and still had to wait 3 hours. But other than that, everyone was super professional. The piercing itself was super quick and the space was bright and clean. Probably will come back on a week day and get something else done.

This place can do pretty much any piercing you can imagine. We came to get the daith piercing for migraines and had a pleasant experience. The employees know what they are doing, so you don't have to worry about much. You'll want to make sure you plan a lot of time when visiting here. They don't do appointments, it's only walk-in, so if it's a busy day it might take some time. But it will be worth the wait.

I cannot say enough good about Koi piercing. I was referred there by a friend and went after my 8-year-old daughter needed her ears redone from a botched mall piercing. Patrick helped her and was SUPER patient. He was also very patient with a traumatized Mom, watching her daughter go through another piercing. The fixed ear piercings are beautiful!!! My daughter still talks about Patrick like he is an old friend. It's wonderful that there is a place like this that takes such good care of people with their piercings, and that provides exceptional care of young children.

This place is the best. Entering the doors, you are welcomed to the store by the friendly folks behind the desk, who are happy to explain the answers to any questions you may have and let you know what to expect. Come before 5 if you want to get done right away. After school/work hours the place is packed and you will never get in. Patrick is very particular about the piercings he does, and very focused and serious about what he does. His attention to detail make for the most perfectly placed piercings you could ask for. He did my septum, and was very creative in making it look perfect with my crooked nostrils. I felt very much at ease with Patrick. He is careful, gentle, clean, and I would trust him with any piercing. DJ is such a sweetheart. He did my traguses and nipples; the ears were a little crooked, but I'm not sure if that's just because cartilage is harder to pierce. My nips however turned out even better than I had hoped, if that is possible.

I just went and got my daithe pierced here. It's a super sterile environment, I felt confident walking into this shop. These artists are so knowledgeable about what they do. Deej pierced my ear and he was so kind and helpful. He gave me all the information I needed instead of just assuming I already knew about it. He did such a great job and was super fast and confident with piercing my ear, he was done within probably 30 seconds. I highly recommend this place but even more, I definitely suggest getting the piercing through Deej, he's such a great guy!

Absolutly phenomonal experience at this shop! Each person was friendly and helpful. Aubrilynn did a great job on my nipple piercings. She was friendly and knowledgeable. Patrick came in to supervise my VCH. Both of them were down to earth and made me comfortable. I will recommend them to everyone. I am very happy with all three piercings. There was an hour and half wait but it was definatly worth it and I knew about the wait from someone else's review so we went prepared. Again, these guys are top notch.

I have had several piercings and initially went to tattoo parlors. After going to KOI I realized how wrong I had been doing things. They are much more accurate, my piercings always turn out straight and in the correct spot. They are sanitary and my recovery is much quicker. Wish I had done all my piercings there, would have saved me some scarring and off center piercings. The environment and staff is clean and friendly. The only downside is there is usually a wait, because they are so busy. It only makes sense to go to a business who specializes in piercings if that's what you want done versus a business who does it as a side note. Don't go anywhere else!

Outstanding! I took my daughter to get her ears pierced for her 14th birthday. Deej was great with her. He made her feel comfortable and talk her through what was going to happen and discussed after care with her and explained the dos and don't with her very well. Koi Piercing: The good about koi is it’s unique decor and ambionce. Another great thing about Koi is they have really great choices in Jewlery, technique and cleanliness. Over all it went great with my piercing. However I didn’t appreciate the no appointment concept having other things to go and do. I also didn’t like the waiting space for koi, it wasn’t a welcoming wait area. The prices went up from when I had spoken with a lady on the phone to confirm my budget and make sure I can do this. I drive a full hour away with my whole family end up paying instead of 44$ like in the first place I end up having to pay 65$ now that’s okay however it was Kois fault they didn’t even have the sizing for the hoop and stud I wanted. To me if a customer is set on a price you shouldn’t keep increasing their price and the studio should have supplies for the Demand and honest

Jade is amazing so is Patrick however...When I came in I stood in line and when it was my turn I stepped up right as she (the short haired young lady) was letting me know someone would be right with me. She then reached over and answered the phone while I stood there then after a minute or two of awkwardness another young lady spoke to me to ask how she could help. Overall my experience was a very good one but there should be a rule where you dont answer the phone in a customer's face. That caller probably could've waited.

Patrick pierced my nostril a few weeks ago, and he was AMAZING. I've heard amazing things about him, so I specifically requested him. I'm so glad I did. He had to move fairly quickly because there was a long line behind me, but he was so kind and patient with me. He did an amazing job at distracting me when it came to the actual piercing, so I was not expecting it to happen at all. He got the needle through my nose before I even knew what was happening. I was nervous about choosing the right side to put it in, but he placed it perfectly. I would seriously go to Koi for your piercings, and especially Patrick.

I would recommend to anyone that is even thinking about getting a piercing check koi out. The wait is usually pretty long, but when it comes to something as permanent as a piercing waiting an extra 30 minutes is worth it!

One day out and my nose doesn't hurt at all. Patrick is a wonderful piercer. I actually was more anxious about getting my piercing than my tattoos. Patrick spent a good amount of time determining the best location for my nostril piercing and when he finally pierced me it was nothing more than a pinch. He was incredibly focused on hygiene. Listen here- Deej is seriously the best piercing artist ever. I was super nervous to get my nose pierced and I decided to go to Koi because a few friends recommended that I go there. I am SO glad that I heeded their advice. Deej was not only super great and walked me through everything, but when I told him how nervous I was, he was very understanding and talked to me until i felt comfortable to proceed. My piercing got a little swollen after the fact (apparently I subconsciously scratch at my nose more than I realized) and when I had concerns he got back to me right away and gave me tips on how to reduce the swelling and get it back in good shape. Also very sterile, they have a great system to make sure that each person gets 100% sterile instruments. The front desk staff was extremely helpful as well. 10/10 would recommend this shop! They are the epitome of a great piercing experience!

For many piercings, DJ has been my man over many years. Not too long ago, I made my venture; but he wasn't working. Not wishing to make the venture again, I settled on Patrick. Being pierced by him was a great experience. I've had forty piercings with a range of nine piercers. Both of those two are outstanding. I really enjoyed my piercing personal kat, she was awesome. However, the ladies upfront lied about the wait time. Said 45 min tops and we were in the waiting room for an hour and a half. They also didn't say aything about us being able to leave and then they can call us in when it's close to our turn until we had already been waiting for an hour. Then when I heard about that, I asked for a new wait time because it was past due from what they origionally told me. They said 20-30 min.... I asked if they could call me when it's closer and they said no, I had to wait in the front cause it was past closing time. But people were still coming in from phone calls past closing time... I wasn't happy about all of that tbh, but when I finally got to the awesome and sweet piercing professional Kat she made up for all that wait. She was kind, professional, and clean. She cared about my pain, cleanliness, and healing process.

I went to KOI for a helix cartilage piercing and two dermal anchorings under my collar bone. I've had my cartilage pierced at Claire's and ICE before and after a week of pain, they both came out. It was awful. I did some reading up and saw that KOI had wonderful reviews. We drove from Wyoming to Utah to get my piercings done. We got to the shop at noon on a Saturday and were the second in line. We got in the store and I was helped right away with what I wanted done, shown the jewelry and had my paperwork done quickly. Frank called me back about 10 minutes later. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions. He made sure I was happy with where the piercings would be placed before starting anything. He told me everything he was going to do and made sure I was breathing deep and calmed my nerves. The dermals required some deep breathing, but turned out so cute!!!! I wish I would have done them sooner. The ear didn't even hurt. The post care instructions were very clear and easy. Don't waste your time anywhere else but here!! Reasonably priced and friendly staff!! It's evening and the piercings haven't given me any pain!!!! Love it!!!

It was a "slow" night according to staff and had to wait an hour. It does give time to browse for your jewelry choice, but plan accordingly.

You really get what you pay for at koi. My mom actually enjoyed her experience being with her child getting pierced and plans to bring my sister when she gets a little older. Awesome. We had a long wait (because it was a Friday evening) but we were able to go wander around and they called us when it was time. Very sanitary and professional! I took my daughter here to get her daith pierced in both ears. First, there is not much parking at all. We ended up parking up the road and making the short walk to the studio. Not a big deal but can be kind of frustrating if you can't find a spot to park. Possibly getting there early and before they open may make finding a spot so much easier. We got there 30 minutes after they opened and the line was to the door! They are a walk in only studio and they seem to be a popular one too. The line never went down the whole time we were there. They were always lined up to the door. I would suggest getting there 15-30 minutes before they open and waiting if you're pressed for time that way you will be first and can possibly get in and out fast. The store was clean and they had jewelry displayed in cabinets. When we got to the counter the girl who helped us was friendly and had us pick out jewelry for my daughters piercings. She showed us a few options that ranged from $20-$230. After picking out the jewelry she gave us some paperwork to fill out and told us the wait was gonna be 30-45 minutes. I've waited longer at a restaurant for a table so no big deal. The waiting area is quite small with enough seating for maybe 7 people. A lot of people had to stand and wait. Things seemed to move somewhat quickly though so seats were always opening up. They were accurate on estimating our waiting time and it went by quickly. Our piercer came out and took us back to a clean and organized semi private room. She was friendly, soft spoken and made us feel comfortable. She had my daughter lie down and began going to work. She cleaned the area, marked it, told my daughter to breathe in and then poke! Done. I would guess for her to do both ears it took a total of one to two minutes. I was impressed! My daughter told me it didn't even hurt. Not at all what we were expecting after watching YouTube videos of people getting this piercing. She then went over the aftercare with us, asked if we had any questions and then walked us up front to pay. It has only been 24 hours since my daughter got the piercing but she has had no issue with it at all so far. I am very pleased with our experience at Koi and would take my daughter back again for the other piercings she is wanting.

Got my tongue pierced there today. The front staff were nice and friendly and had tons of piercings themselves so I felt like they knew what was up. My piercer was DJ. He was very nice and talked me through it and answered all of my questions. Didn't feel a thing when he put the needle in. Gave me his card with a number I can contact him with if I have any questions or if my tongue starts to have any problems. So far so good.
