My sister and mom got tattoos here and the crew was incredibly helpful. My mom only had an idea from a picture and Tyson drew it out with his own twist and happily re-drew or designed it until it was perfect for my mom. He was super friendly, understanding, and did a really clean job. I would recommended this place to my own friends.

I received my tattoo from Jason! Jason was so wonderful, very professional and precise! He spent 30 minutes helping me center my sternum tattoo to where it rested to my liking, he also came in on his day off to help accommodate for me and my aunt who are out of state, but he was very friendly and sociable with us! Very kind, all of the gentlemen there are amazing! Highly suggest!

Easily one of the best tattoo studios in Portland Metro area. Albeit, I am biased to a degree, but if you are looking for American traditional, custom, classic, and the originator of the Portland "Get what you get" and "Tattoo Plinko". Go to here. There is an abundance of well trained artists that have a plethora of books and flash sheets to make your decision easier. Don't forget to purchase some of the swag they have from the tattoo artists as well!!

So far we have gotten tattooed by Tyson and Joe. They're both solid. They're great at working with you on getting your idea for a design just right.

Tattoo shops...a dime a dozen.. Historic Tattoo was cut of different cloth. I did the world famous get what you get tattoo. My artist was Tyson who was super rad and can wait to have more work from him. He really made it feel like we were buddies! Hopefully him and Brad can settle their musical differences ;). All on all would recommend to anyone even the Pope. Thanks dudes!!!

Finally an unpretentious tattoo shop. These guys are super friendly, professional, affordable and do great work. I've had walk-in small tattoos done here and am currently working on a big piece too. One unique thing they have is a Get What You Get "gumball" machine if you're feeling daring. They almost always have time for walk-ins too which is cool for spur of the moment stuff.

Every time I come into the shop I'm excited about what she's made for me. Lisa executes exactly what I had wanted. Lisa is an incredible tattooer. I trust her completely.

I went to Historic for their "get what you get" deal, a $100 or $200 tattoo randomly spat from a coin op machine. Jon Vallee did the work (@One_Eyed_Jon on Instagram), and he's a baller in my book. For those in the know, he used to work with Lyle Tuttle in the Bay Area. His work was fast and squeaky clean. It was an all around great experience and the tattoo is top notch. Keep in mind, as a heavily tattooed guy, getting random tattoos on a whim from dope artists is every bit my jam, but it's probably not for everyone. Still, Historic is a really cool and, well, historic Portland shop. The building is rad and comfy, with gobs of cool flash to ogle and an eclectic collection of art to keep you distracted if the needles aren't your thing. Check 'em out if you want to hang with the cool kids.

Great neighborhood beer bar. Fine taps, usually 4 IPA's and at least 2 others. Well curated bottles and cans. A few snacks. Local art on the walls. Turntable with good selection curated by both the pub and regulars. No kids allowed. Dogs outside. 7 years going and still the best beer pub in the Foster area. Board games, no tvs.
