I could not recommend fortune teller tattoos more. I was pretty nervous because this was my first tattoo but Ivan was GREAT - made me feel comfortable, was quick, and created my design perfectly. The price was very reasonable. I’m over a month post tattoo and I still love it! I’ll for sure be a return customer!

If I could give this shop more stars I would! TW/SH I went here for a coverup of some old self harm scars as a first tattoo. Doug Von did such an amazing job interpreting my ideas into a workable and beautiful tattoo and making me feel comfortable as he walked me through every step of the process. I asked for a small change to the drawing and it was no problem at all. I will be back when I want another tattoo!

I can definitely tell that he took his time to customize this piece, and he was also extremely receptive and accommodating to any changes that I requested. The facility is very nice and it was easy to find. Prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend!

My first time (11/29/20) at fortune teller was awesome. There's a nice parking area so finding parking wasn't difficult. I had my tattoo scheduled for a few weeks with Alex since they are taking appointment only for safety precautions. The space is bright, beautifully inviting, and clean. They are following all safety standards and do require a mask. I felt comfortable the whole time. All the stations were clean and free of clutter. I was the only person there getting a tattoo at the time so it was nice to be able to talk to Alex who was very friendly and professional. I got my first traditional style with some variations. Alex took the time to design exactly what I wanted and gave me plenty of time the day of to make any edits and had 3 different sizes already printed for me. I'll be back in December to get a tattoo from Laura, and hopefully more from Alex in the future! Thanks for a great experience guys!

I saw Erin a while back for a coverup. She was so, so rad to work with! Her work is lovely, and I am no longer embarrassed to show my arm in public because now I have a killer one-of-a-kind eyeball-demon plant. The shop itself is pristine and welcoming. It is open-concept, but I felt safe and comfortable. All artists and clients were masked and following guidelines. I would absolutely recocmend this place for anyone getting larger, multi-session pieces because it is so pleasant. Are you going to spend a lot of money? Yes, but my dude, you pay for good work, and this is good work. Take it from me, the person who has spent my 30s covering up the cheap tattoos I got in my 20s: Just find a good artist - and if you start at this shop, you won't have to go far.

The experience I had at Fortune Teller Tattoo was incredible. The shop itself is clean, spacious and finely decorated. The team there went above and beyond to make sure that everything was sanitary and safe. My tattoo artist is Doug Von, and he is a absolute dream to work with. Thoughtful, kind, safe and friendly, Doug has the talent to work with any idea you bring to him, and treats each and every project with profound enthusiasm. He works hard to make sure that you are happy with your tattoo, that you are comfortable and that your experience together is a genuinely fun time. Doug’s line work and color is some of the best that I’ve ever seen, and he does consistently clean, sharp and spotless work. The end result is always a piece that I treasure, and a refreshing experience where I feel listened to and respected.

It’s a shame I live in Louisiana and won’t get to frequent this shop more than once every year or so. First appearances mean everything to me when I walk into a shop looking for art. I have turned quickly on my heel after opening the door to shops around the country for various reasons. Fortune Teller sets itself apart immediately. The open space is very well laid out, extremely clean, and very inviting. To me it felt less like a tattoo shop and more like an art studio. Kudos on capturing that ambiance! Alex is extremely professional. On time, very friendly, and very talented. It’s very obvious to me that tattooing is not a job for him, but a unique way to express his art, and he is clearly passionate about it. While I didn’t get the chance to visit with the other artists in the shop, I got a chance to catch glances of their work, and they all seem to share a very similar talent love for what they do. I will absolutely return for more ink, cannot recommend this shop and these artists enough.

Great open , bright space. Very clean and sanitary. Alex worked with my ideas for design-created exactly what I wanted and quickly edited a few details to better fit my vision. Extremely happy with the result. Oh! And very quick responses also- no waiting to days for a person to get back to you !!

Literally one of my favorite places to be in Portland. The space is clean, open, and has a really laid back professional atmosphere. All of the artist are super friendly to talk too. They’re also very active on Instagram so it’s always great to see what the shop is up to! I got my first shaded piece from Laura here and I loved her work so much I got a second flash design and am already planning out the next two. Definitely the place to be for a great experience and amazing art!

I absolutely love this place! Everyone in there is so nice and welcoming. Laura has so far done 2 amazing tattoos for me and They came out exactly how I imagined and better!! One being a remembrance tattoo for my grandmother that recently passed away and Laura did it exactly how I wanted and I will cherish it forever. Great environment to be tattooed! All the artists were so friendly. Very clean and a good amount of space. I was tattooed by Erin Mealing and she did a wonderful job. She was able to cover up an old snake tattoo for me and I think it was very successful! I will definitely be coming back here for other tattoos.
