I absolutely loved my experience here! I'm a super anxious person and they made me feel so welcomed and prepared for my appointment. They were very forthcoming and transparent with their protocol and procedures. I would recommend checking them out with a consultation at least! They have great service. There's a parking garage nearby if you need some parking. If you're worried about pricing- yes it's on the pricey side, but that's always the trade off for good work. If you're worried about payment they have price packages. I'm so happy I finally started removing my tattoo here, highly recommend it.

Great conversation, awesome choice of glasses and tattoos😉, witty sense of humor and of course their work speaks for itself. I was able to get my initial consultation and session done all in under 30 minutes. Wow! The staff there were welcoming and down to earth, which made my visit more relaxed and personable. It’s my first time ever getting a tattoo removed so you can imagine my nerves were through the roof! But I have to admit, the actual treatment wasn’t as bad as I initially thought. All the staff were super nice and friendly. The staff at the center city location just blew me away. I initially went in for a consult due to come concerns of potential blowout occurring with a new tattoo. Rob was awesome. He worked at shop prior to Removery and offered guidance and expertise, completely easing my worries that this wasn’t the case. In addition I was also able to treat an existing tattoo that has already undergone the removal process. Granted everyone has a different pain tolerance but when I tell you this was nearly painless in comparison to my prior experiences I am being 100% honest. I feel great to the point I can’t even believe I just had the procedure done. A huge thank you to Donna and John as well for making the entire experience such a positive one. I cannot recommend them enough. I’m actually looking forward to my next session!

I just started the process of fading my tattoo at Removery a couple of weeks ago. I went in thinking I was just there for a consultation and ended up getting the process started that night. Donna is a wizard with the laser and made me feel extremely comfortable. All of the staff I came into contact with at Removery was warm and had an upbeat personality. How the energy played into the whole experience was pretty amazing and definitely made me want to recommend these services to others who are feeling uneasy about taking that first step toward the goal of fading or removing a tattoo. Jovana is so sweet! She makes you feel very welcomed during every appointment. She’s always really helpful if you have to reschedule and walks you through all of your options during your consultation. Christie is the best!! This was my second session and it was a breeze compared to my first session. Christie is personable, funny and keeps you updated the entire time she’s using the laser as to where she’s at, how much is left and even counts down to 3 before she starts. It makes the entire process feel a lot less scary. The process itself is painful but I iced longer this time and with Christie being efficient and quick, it went by so fast and less painful than the first session.

I’ve been a customer of the Removery for a couple years at this point and have nothing but compliments for the quality of their business! Great customer service and very high quality care. They set me up at the beginning with a package (and had offered at the time a unique 40% off a package discount!), estimating how many treatments it’d take and said if it took less, they’d refund me, but if it took more treatments, I could just keep coming in-at no additional cost-until there was nothing more they could do for me. Well, after my last and final treatment (after about twice the amount of treatments that they initially estimated) my tattoo and almost all of its scarring is gone and I couldn’t be more pleased with the process. If you’re going to get a tattoo removed, look no further; if it seems expensive, they’ll help you make it work (they have payment plans now!) and it’s worth it for the quality of the treatment they’ll give you. I went for a few treatments to a different place before them, that was much cheaper, and the difference in care and results was *night and day*-it makes a huge difference having someone who really knows *very* well what they’re doing with the instrument!

The staff was so knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions. They gave my quote, which was far less than other places. I was also very happy and surprised to have my first session right after my consultation. Three small tattoos took about 2 minutes to laser after they were iced for comfort. Rob was so informative, he made me feel comfortable and he was honest….my initial consultation was for my color tattoos however Rob was honest with me because of my skin complexion they might not be able to remove all the color…..so I had him look at my black tattoos and he said they would be able to 100% remove them over time….I really appreciated him being so transparent and they even have payment plans. I’m so happy I finally found a place I can trust to remove my tattoos.

This is a long over due review ! I’m a horrible procrastinator but these guys deserve praise everyday. The entire team is kind, and professional. They are always good at making sure you’re aware of after care , and are very communicative throughout your whole experience from asking if you’re ready, doing test pulses, checking if you need a break etc and they always check in after treatment. Donna is an absolute angel I loved being her client she always made me feel comfortable and she has been such a warm person , she’s transferring to another location and I will certainly miss her, but I have no doubt whoever my next remover is they will be wonderful. Joshua is also amazing . Very polite & makes sure you have your aftercare & sends reminders and conformations on appointments which is definitely helpful as my schedule changes weekly . I’m seeing great progress with my tattoo removal and I am so thankful for them. All of us heavily tattooed people have atleast one skeleton in the closet, one tattoo we don’t want anyone to see that just can’t be resolved with a cover up. Awesome spot and atmosphere. I thought my treatment was quick and my pain was mitigated thought out the process with ice packs and little reminders like “ten more seconds!” Which is super helpful. This was my first tattoo removal experience and it was absolutely pleasant from start to finish. I was scared at first because I always thought anything that had to do with a laser was very painful, boy was I wrong lol. Josh is sooo funny and welcoming. And Donna who did my first treatment was sweet, knowledgeable and made me comfortable. She answered all of my dumb questions and left me with all of the aftercare info I needed. I had my first session so far done here and it wasn’t bad at all. They made things feel very simple and although a little nervous based on what friends had said in terms of the pain, it wasn’t at all that bad. I was numbed with an ice pack beforehand which helped but really it was so quick and felt pretty tolerable. Obviously if you’re doing a bigger piece you’ll probably need breaks but it’s really not terrible. I recommend.

The laser is not painful; more of a discomfort, and the laser technicians work very hard to make the process go as smoothly as possible. The actual lasering process takes seconds to minutes depending on how big the tattoo is. Overall I am very pleased with the service and I am excited to begin this journey to remove my unwanted tattoo.

Went for a consultation at the Center City location. Parking was a nightmare, which was to be expected. They didn’t make a big deal about me being late and I appreciated that! The facility is cozy and clean. The check in process is efficient. The actual consult started off well. The rep. was a little all over the place, but was able to effectively convey details about the process, price, and what to expect. He even gave me suggestions and recommendations on a cover up piece after the procedure was complete. I give them a 3/3.5 because of how the rep. made me feel once he realized I wasn’t committing at that very moment. He said “okay, doesn’t matter to me”, shrugged, and threw his hands up. I’m in sales and that is NOT how you handle objections. I gave him the answer, I’m the type of consumer that needs to do research, talk to my partner, sit on it, and should not be rushed. A polite “ I understand, take your time! if you have any questions let me know. Is it okay if I touch base with you in a week or two?” would have been a suitable response. Not basically “okay whatever”. All in all, I do like the company’s payment options and offering so I may try another location. If you’re not ready to move forward the day of your consult, be prepared for some resistance and discomfort.

They walked me through all of my options, spoke openly and honestly about pricing, and answered all of my questions thoroughly, and didn’t make me feel pressured in any way to start treatment unless I wanted to. If and when I start to get treatment, this is definitely the place I would go.

Parking in the area is convenient with the use of a nearby garage. (Conveninent, not cheap- but that's center city for ya.) The location itself is clean and professional. Philly's Tattoo Removery is staffed with the sweetest folk, and everyone I interacted with made me feel comfortable and informed about every step of the process. Not once did I feel judged for the giant expensive mistake on my torso, haha- and the process itself (I'm a day out from my first of three sessions) is a breeze. I have been waiting about 10 years to get a tattoo removed on my chest and finally made the jump to do it. I was referred by my tattoo artist to go to Removery and am so happy I did. Not only did it smell amazing, but Sarah at the front desk was extremely welcoming. She started the process and then Bob did what I would call the 'intake' process, took a before photo of my tattoo, and explained how their lasers worked. He was funny and made me feel really comfortable, which was a plus since I went by myself. Once I paid and signed by paperwork, Sarah from the front desk took me back right away (I initially went for a consultation but they were able to squeeze me in for a session) for my first treatment! She was patient with me when I needed her to take a few breaks. They explain it like rubber bands being snapped on your skin, but I felt like it was like mixed with baby sprinkles of hot grease...totally worth it. I have my second appointment today and I can't wait to go back!

Yesterday I was able to see what all the hype is about with Removery Tattoo. My initial experience over the phone and my virtual appointment gave me high hopes, & Removery in Philly delivered. First I have to say, everyone I encountered was so kind and friendly. For me it wasn't painful 🙃. I was in and out! Update #2 (08/26/2022): I love the results that I am seeing. Once again there's not much pain and it doesn't itch as much. I was referred to these folks by my tattoo artist. I needed to have an old tattoo removed. I went in for a consultation, in which the entire process was explained in great detail. At the end of the consultation, they asked if I’d be interested beginning treatment right then and there. I said sure. The room where the procedure took place was wiped spotless before we started. I’m sure it was spotless beforehand. But with the current state of affairs, extra precautions were taken. The process itself is very quick . This place is super professional and very honest. I went in for a second opinion on a tattoo I had already started removing at a different shop a few years ago. I have hypopigmentation from the other shop’s last treatment…. Removery folks were really honest about the fact that I need to wait longer for it to resolve before considering further laser treatment. They also pointed out from a technical perspective what they would have done differently from the other shop based on my skin tone. I really respect them for being so honest. Will be back in a about a year, unless I just do a cover up 🙃.

This business is a clean and friendly environment. Everything thru text so you don’t have to be bothered by a bunch of random phone calls.The staff which are both very intelligent and warming. Don’t be nervous about getting a tattoo removed, it’s painful. But at Removery they make sure the process goes at your speed and they don’t mind assisting you with things you may need. My first time I went for a quote on how much it would cost. Second time I started the lancer process. Worst pain I ever felt but it was fast really fast. When it was all done, the staff and I shared jokes and laughed about the experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants or needs to remove a tattoo. One of my favorite things, besides the friendly workers, is their guarantee... during my consultation they predicted that it would take 9 treatments for my tattoo to be fully removed. If the tattoo is not fully removed in 9 treatments, they will continue to do the removal at no additional charge. Of course there is some fine print to that deal but I am really very happy with the services that they offer.

Tattoo removal can definitely be intimidating when first researching. I know I always would hear about how painful or expensive it was. I have been going to Donna at Removery for a few years now, and she has put all those concerns at ease. I have a few tattoos that I got when I was younger that I want to cover up with real artwork. For full removal or fading this is definitely the right place. The Removery is located conveniently in the city, the office is very clean and modern, and the prices are really affordable. My experience has been so positive! During the consultation they were really friendly and explained the process in depth. I put off making my first appointment for a while because I was afraid it was going to hurt - but my fears were wrong! The first appointment went so well, the actual lasering part only lasted about 15 seconds and barely hurt at all. Definitely hurt less than actually getting the tattoo! They use a cold compress to numb your skin first, and it actually works so well. I recommend checking out their Instagram page to see more of the process and get a feel for what it’ll be like! My one complaint is of course, how expensive it is but it’s standard for the industry and they let you break it out into multiple payments so it isn’t so bad. I really recommend this place for getting rid of unwanted ink! :)

Went in for a free consultation. My technician explained everything to me and was able to break down pricing and help me pick out the perfect package for what I needed done. Explained how the procedure would go and what to expect. Explained the process of the removal and gave factual statements on how long the process would be and what my outcome should look like. Very clean place use proper infection control techniques, the area was numbed with an ice pack before starting, did a test spot and then proceeded to complete the laser tattoo removal, provided me with post care material. I started the removal process recently and have already noticed a difference after one treatment with The Finery. The girl who did my removal, Anna, was so kind and answered all my questions. The rest of the staff at the check in area were also very friendly. Removery Philadelphia is the BEST office! The staff is ALWAYs patient and informative. It’s never an awkward time though I’m practically half naked as they work on me. Sometimes my body reacts afterwards, and I’m able to text their number and send updates on my healing process in between sessions. Removery always has someone available to ease my mind with facts and even checks in on my the next day. You receive an automated text the day you book your appointment and a day or 2 before which is a great reminder. Removery Philadelphia has a top notch Customer Service across the board in education, communication, professionalism, and punctuality. If I’m giving an honest review the ONLY downside was the switch in location. Parking is normally hard to come by in the city, especially after other businesses started the outdoor dinning booths that compete with parking. On two occasions I had to pay $25 parking to park in a lot for 30 mins because the street parking was taken for the meter app. In my last session one of the reps at Removery let me know of another parking lot that charges $8, so I’ll try to find that one next time. Besides parking, I’m happy I made the right decision to Trust Removery of Philadelphia.

Went there today to start on the process of removing a tattoo from my ring finger. I read all the reviews, and was lucky enough to work with Donna. She is as nice as everyone says she is. She broke down the procedure in a way that was easy to understand. She was truthful about the long process, and answered all of my questions. The place is very clean, and being that I will have to return there multiple times in the future, I'm very happy about that. The actual procedure was very quick. alina was incredibly helpful and patient with all my questions - i def had some that i thought were silly, but they never made me feel embarrassed for asking! they were very friendly, paused often during conversation to check-in with me, and made the financing aspect of it less intimidating. i went in for a consultation and was able to get my first treatment the same day! as for the treatment itself, it def hurt like hell, but luckily, it went quickly (as quickly as two tattoos, one of them quite large, can go, anyway. less than a minute!). they gave me a stress ball which helped a LOT and they talked to me while they did it, which helped distract me from the pain. overall, it really wasn't as excruciating as i was lead to expect. after just one treatment, the tattoo isn't noticeably faded or anything, and it is a little tender, but that's all i have to report so far. excited to continue my journey with removery!

I’ve hated the tattoo on the front of my shoulder for so long. I’ve spent years covering it up and it’s been such a nuisance! I was lucky enough to learn about The Finery in Philadelphia but I was nervous about the pain. From the moment I got in touch with the Finery team, they have been AMAZING. I started out with a consultation, where I was able to learn more about the process, all of my questions were answered and I felt so taken care of and welcomed. I was surprised that this process wasn’t nearly as expensive as I thought it would be! I’ve had three sessions so far and my tattoo is practically gone which is INSANE because it was very dark and had multiple colors. The fear of the pain is actually worse than the pain itself. I’m quite petite and I only weigh 100lbs, so if I can handle the discomfort, literally anyone can. I am on my 4th treatment so I should start seeing results soon and am excited and very patient I understand the process takes numerous treatments but the staff is so friendly and professional it’s not typically an inconvenience to go. Currently the shop is in Old City but moving to 18th street. The new location is not good for me, traffic, the added expense for parking since meter parking is almost impossible to find which means at the minimum $20-$30 to pay for 20 minutes that the visit typically takes. Had I known about the plans to move to that part of the city I would not have started treatment. I wish they would have considered another area in philly with free or convenient inexpensive parking. Now I have to drive from NJ to King of Prussia every 6 weeks for treatment because I don’t want to deal with the nuances of the new location. I am a little frustrated but paid in full so I can’t just walk away. If it wasn’t for the move they would have received 5 stars. I can’t rate quality since I haven’t seen a change in my tattoo but I just had my 4th treatment today. The staff is amazing at Old City! Everyone I had was great at explaining the process, took time to go over post care instructions, they make sure you feel comfortable, etc. They would also get 5 stars!!

This is the second time I am getting laser surgery on my shoulder tattoo . The first time, I went to a medical spa and they left me with hypopigmentation and keloids. Over the last year, I have had eight treatments at Removery with no skin issues. The tattoo is fading away and I am sure the final results will be just what I wanted. The price isn’t cheap but once you have paid off your contract, all follow up treatments are free. All of my new friends (Donna, Anna, et al) at the Philadelphia Office are wonderful. The office is clean and comfortable and there is parking directly across the street. I highly recommend and will definitely get my second tattoo removed here.

I was always worried when I heard from others “laser removal” was a painful process....very untrue. Donna was very very helpful explaining the process and how there laser works to break down the tattoo. The first time I went in for a zapping as they like to call it, I was expecting the worst! Little did I know it was not that bad at all, I think getting a tattoo was more irritating than laser removal. Donna takes the time every session to go over the dues and don’ts while going through the laser removal process. I have a tattoo on my back that I hated ever since I got it done. Im African American and my complexion is between numbers 4 & 5 on the fitzpatrick scale. So far I have had 2 treatments - not enough to see any fading as of yet. However it can take anywhere from 6 - 10 (or more) treatments for the tattoo to fade completely. It can possibly take up to 3 treatments to see significant change in fading per my research. Each persons body in terms of health (food & exercise) and genetics is different so the speed in which you see results will vary. When I went into Removery for my consultation I asked a TON of questions after doing my own research to ensure the staff was knowledgeable. With brown skin tones we have to be more mindful of how lasers can affect our skin and ensure the person treating you understands how lasers work to differentiate the ink and our melanin. After the consultation I was comfortable enough to move forward with treatment the same day. Staff at the Philadelphia location that I go to are all very kind and welcoming. So far ive had 2 different people at the office do the laser treatment on me and both were consistent in their technique and with having a positive and pleasant demeanor. Now for my folks with melanin who want to know how it affected my skin. I was SUPER nervous about the possibilty of damage to my complexion, keloids, raised scarring, hyperpigmentation, burn marks etc. I have not had any adverse affects or reactions to the treatment. My skin looks and feels the same. In terms of how the laser feels - it almost feels like penance for getting it in the first place lol. It does hurt - the whole rubber band popping rumors are true. However my tattoo is about 4 inches long and 4 inches wide - it literally took like 90 seconds - crazy fast. The 2nd treatment felt like 30 seconds. By the time you think it hurts too much its over!!! It is doable even for people who have a low pain tolerence. Its a none evasive treatment so your skin isnt broken or anything and you can get dressed and everything like normal. For my deep melanated people. Make sure you do research and ask a ton of questions. I went to a different place in Philadelphia first and had 1 spot treatment done that left mild hyperpigmentation scarring - the laser they used wasn't right for my skin - I never went back and almost gave up hope quick. Removery automatically knew the correct laser to use. Keep that in mind and I will update after I've had more treatments to see better results. Hope this helps any skeptics especially for deeper skin tones. Alot of times these companies dont have people who have dark skin tones in their advertising and your LUCKY as a person of color if you even see a photo of a person who resembles your complexion in the company website before and after photos which is a shame and speaks to lack of diversity. So this review is for all those who needed to know from a brown skin person. Also Removery has photos on their website of brown skin complexions to show before and after results which I was happy to see & I encourage them to add more because I think there were only 2 brown skin people out of all of the other photos - but way more than I've seen on other websites who didn't have any at all. The facility is located in a beautiful, clean building. It is very welcoming and cozy and pretty convenient to get to from 95. There is metered parking right across the street which usually has a spot open, depending what time you go most likely. The receptionist and technicians are all very nice! They truly want to help get rid of your tattoo and will recommend the best laser as well as the appropriate time between sessions to optimize removal. I have been working on my back for a while but I did have a big break a few times due to life just getting to busy. I’ve done both the qswitch and pico lasers and have seen amazing results. Today I went in for hopefully one of my last sessions and I had Donna as my technician and she was training another woman named Thuy. They were both wonderful! Disclaimer: Normally I am not the person to post reviews but I surely do read them before I do business. However, I felt this review is certainly necessary for those contemplating on tattoo removal. I stated a few years ago when it was formally (Tataway Tattoo). Then I stopped treatment for over year, only because I just got really busy with other life tasks. I have had the absolute best experience with this business. The staff are knowledgeable and honest, two important personal values! The results are incredible and as for the pain, mentally you adjust quickly. I am a person who hates needles, and become very anxious when every I have to get blood work. I take a laser removal session over a needle stick any day! In my personal experience I think my first 3 visits is where I felt pain, kind of like being popped by hot cooking oil being mixed with water Lol! But at the 4 visit, your brain does not register the pain anymore and the treatment is so quick (based on the size), sometimes you’re like “oh that’s it, we’re done”. But the outcome is what we do it for right! And the outcome is amazing. And please don’t believe the myth that, ink won’t come out of dark skin. I am chocolate (very) and mine is coming along very well. Actually one is complete and the other one only needs a few more treatments! So don’t allow fear of pain to interfere with your decision. Maybe something else but not that, you’ll be just fine.... Good luck 🍀

I've had a handful of treatments so far to fade this horrible NY Giants tattoo and I've been pleased so far with the results. My technician, Anna, has been great. I've heard horror stories about how painful it is and, while it doesn't tickle, it's not as bad as I thought it would be (it's tolerable!). Of course mine is pretty small...if it were a bigger area it might be a little more brutal, so I would probably suggest breaking it up into sections. But overall, so far it's been great and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommended!
