This was my second round of laser tattoo removal but my very first time with Removery and the experience was so so good. I immediately felt welcomed and at ease which was clutch because I was feeling a bit nervous as I was getting laser done on my face. The initial intake process was so chill and friendly, the procedure was as painful as one could expect but I was treated so well throughout that I can’t wait to come back. Post procedure I was given detailed instructions and aftercare and I left feeling super confident and like I’d known the staff for years. 10/10 Recommend.

I had the most pleasant experience regarding a consultation with Payton on 8/22. From her working with me in terms of a time frame given my busy work schedule all the way through pricing and her overall demeanor. Payton answered every question I had; she even as much as followed up to ensure I felt equipped with all the information that I needed to proceed when I myself was ready to do so. Payton went outside the typical scope of what a most consultation’s I have observed resemble. Payton provided me with very transparent responses regarding pricing, tentative amounts of needed sessions and the exact address of locations closest to me with their hours of operation. She came across as seasoned and equipped knowledge wise in terms of all the inquiries that I posed to her. Payton did not come across in a “selling” type of fashion but, rather a very professional new friend! Amazing experience here. Check in was super smooth and office is very clean. I was seen first by Bruno who explained the process as well as risks, aftercare and pricing. Not once was I pushed to do more or less and finance options were available and explained. Once I agreed on starting my treatment today I was seen by the lovely Victoria. She went over the aftercare and gave tips for a smooth healing period. The process was very quick the pain was more of an annoyance than anything. Highly recommend Removery at Park ave south.

This place is great! Staff is super friendly and I'm currently 8 sessions in with my tattoos extremely faded. Don't get disheartened it takes time, and I'm guilty of being impatient, but it does work. They've been getting a lot busier so make your appointments in advance and try not to change them last minute because rebooking can be challenge. I wish there was a direct office number to reach out to, or a way to book online for existing customers.

Erin at Removery has been working with me to remove a tattoo and I could not have had a better experience so far! Today was my 5th session and I’ve been extremely happy with my progress. Erin lets me know exactly what to expect, communicates with me during the lasering and offers that if I need a break she’s happy to take one. I haven’t needed a break yet which is all credit to Erin’s technique and the excellent equipment used. I am so love the squeeze ball she lets me use. I have recommended Removery, especially Erin, to my friends and will continue to do so. The office is modern and clean and staff is so friendly, down to earth and accommodating.

Very professional team. They were very honest about risks and gave me lots of options to consider (doing a test spot and then coming back), no pushy behavior at all. Plus, saw great results after just one session. I do wish they had more pricing transparency on their site or when I called. The phone rep couldn't even say if it was per session or what. It turned out to be pretty reasonable considering Manhattan prices (they do per session which I prefer), but shouldn't have to go in first to get pricing info.

After my 3rd treatment, i’m starting to see the difference which was surprising given what I had read on past comments regarding the effects on skin tones darker than fair. You’re given an ice pack to apply for a few minutes to numb the area and the laser begins right after. The cooling machine takes some of the edge off but the treatment is fairly quick. The staff are very friendly and make the process comfortable. Looking forward to my end result! 🙂

If you are searching for a tattoo removal company to get rid of your tattoo, go to removery. They’re always smiley, happy to help, and very resourceful. There are some form of payment plan and trotter was always one call away when I had any questions about finances or treatment. Their equipment is efficient and in 5 sessions, the shading in my tattoo faded. There are results. You do have to be patient and yes it does hurt, some sessions more than others. Removery is great. Would highly recommend. Kind staff and good results.

This Removery came recommended by a couple of friends so I came in for a consult and was very impressed and signed a contract for full removal. I have two back tattoos that are 15 years old and are faded, and something I didn’t want on my body as I keep aging into my 30s. I was able to set up a no-interest payment plan, and I feel the pricing is fair for how many treatments are needed and the level of skill required with such a powerful laser. The procedures are painful but quick and the staff are friendly and positive, and patient. I recommend this business and its people.

I’ve had 4 sessions so far and my tattoo is significantly lighter. I am thrilled to see it lightening. I went in for a free consultation today and had an amazing experience. To be honest, I'm a tough critic when it comes to standards of professionalism, cleanliness, and service. Removery surpassed my expectations. Jamie was not only professional and very informative, she was also honest, friendly and she genuinely cared in regards to what I was expecting out of the treatment. These attributes can be easily overlooked but just a little bit of attention and care can go a long way. I felt very welcomed and knew that I was in good hands. They offer full tattoo removal. You pay a flat rate and you can get as many treatments until your tattoo is completely removed. They even gave me a complimentary laser spot test to see how my skin and body would handle the full treatment. This was also to better gauge the time frame in which the tattoo would be fully removed. The pain is not bad at all! Again thank you Removery but more importantly thank you Jamie for your service!

I walked in skeptical and scared and only for a consultation but I felt so comfortable I decided to start my tattoo removal on the spot. This place is honestly amazing. After researching to no end- removery was my final choice & booked a consultation. This was my first visit/tatt removal session and they made it so easy, smooth, informative, and kind. They answered all of my questions, and were patient with me during the painful removal process. 💯 What won me over was the fact they know their stuff about tattoo removals/ink/sizes of tattoos and how it will affect the healing process (even taking into consideration what medications you take). I never knew because I’m anemic my blood flow would affect the healing process a bit. They really care about giving you the best care customized for your tattoos that optimizes your tattoo removal/healing process and minimizes the risk of over-swelling, etc. I can honestly say I trust them to work on my tattoos until they are fully gone~ they are an amazing, smart, & kind bunch of team. I have been searching for months to find the best tattoo removal center. I have some hefty work from years ago that I finally decided I want to lighten and eventually cover up. Knowing that this would be a fairly long road ahead of me (we're talking years...) I needed to find a place where I was comfortable and also had 100% confidence in. I heard about The Finery through a friend and decided to give them a try. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff is extremely warm and welcoming. I was immediately taken to a room by Ana to start my consultation. She ran through everything including the laser process itself, the healing process, amount of sessions and pricing while answering all my questions (which I hardly had any considering she was super clear and thorough about everything). Alot of people (including myself) head to these sessions thinking the laser is going to "zap" the tattoo away when in reality it's actually YOUR body that does ALL the work and removal, the laser just assists...crazy right? There's more to that but Ana can explain when you see her... I made an appointment and started my treatment right away. Yes, it is uncomfortable and there are some intense "zings" I call them, but all bearable considering it's like a 3 minute process! Also, ice is used to help with the discomfort which I believe helped a bunch!! After my session we went over aftercare again and on my way I went to let my body start working. I can already see a difference after one session! If you're considering tattoo removal, just do yourself the favor and definitely go with The Finery!

I have been going to The Finery for the past two years for the removal of a tattoo on my wrist and upper arm. The staff at The Finery is awesome and I always have a great experience there. They do their best to make sure that you are comfortable throughout the entire process. Each time that I go there, they take pictures to document the progress of my tattoos to show the difference before and after each session. They do a great job and are very detail oriented making sure not to miss anything. They explain how the tattoo removal process works and are super knowledge if you have any questions. (Posting on behalf of my wife, since I write most of the Google reviews) The Finery has been great so far! She's had two tattoo removal sessions for two old tattoos, one black, one blue. The black one is almost gone already, while the blue one looks like it'll need a few more sessions. She had come in for a session a few months ago, but realized she couldn't do it as she was on antibiotics, and they didn't charge a cancellation fee. This was a great demonstration of customer care on their part, as they could have a) not cared about the safety of their customer/patient as much as they did and/or b) charged a stiff fee. Both technicians she's had have been great - the last one (sorry, missed her name) was relaxed, skilled, and had a good sense of humor. She allowed additional time to really numb the tattoos on my wife's back before proceeding with the laser, which made a big difference. The prices aren't cheap, but (it was explained to us) it's because the capital cost of the lasers can exceed $300k. And it seems to be worth the cost. Recommended!

I’ve researched many tattoo removal practices and have gone to dermatologists, but I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for my tattoo removal. Laser removal is obviously an unpleasant process, but the technicians always do what they can to make me feel relaxed and to make the experience as quick and efficient as possible. My technician is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I can tell that they care about my skin and I trust that I’m getting the best treatment possible. Maia was so honest about the process, they both made me feel so comfortable through every step, this was just my first session and oh do I plan to go back for MORE. I have no frame of reference but I will list the pros and cons Pros: Very close to the subway. Facility is very clean Staff is friendly Making appointments is easy Usually never behind schedule. Decorated well Cons: Very expensive, probably due to overhead costs, but it makes you feel extra taken care of due to the appearance. Reschedule policy is really unfortunate, if not angering. I am on a payment plan (I pay every month) and yet if I wake up sick I can not reschedule without a fee. I find it somewhat insulting and reckless. Other stuff: It obviously hurts. I am on session 4/10 and my tattoo is pretty dark still. However it is noticeably less raised and losing pigment slowly. They give you a free bottle of detox vitamins the first time and then after that its $40, but not mandatory. They said I will also needle micro needling. I have no idea if this included in the over 3g I will pay over time to be honest. My tattoo is only 4-6" black lines. Takes about 20 seconds to laser from start to finish. Appointments are less than 15 minutes.

The initial consult was free, and I felt very confident of how the procedure worked after it was explained to me. Short version: I have been coming to The Finery over the past two years for the removal of a tattoo on my right thigh. Maia is an absolute GODSEND of a laser specialist - she has overseen my progress with the utmost attention to detail and personal investment in my treatment! I cannot recommend her and The Finery enough. Long version: I was nervous about beginning my tattoo removal process - before starting treatment at The Finery, I didn't totally understand the physicality of laser removal and I wasn't positive how successful it would be. Thankfully, Maia completely put my mind at ease! From my initial consulting session to my appointment earlier today, Maia has gone way, way, WAY above and beyond to answer all of my questions and to fully inform me about the process and what to expect. She's even given me some Physics 101 lessons on the mechanics of the lasers! She always makes sure I am comfortable throughout the lasering process (most often, it doesn't hurt THAT bad!), and she has made herself personally available for questions and consulting in the healing period that follows treatment. She is genuinely invested in the success of my tattoo removal, which I cannot appreciate enough - I trust her and the process entirely. Honestly, bedside manner at The Finery in general (and particularly from Maia!) is through the ROOF. I've never felt more comfortable with someone else treating my body! For those of you curious about the process and the success of removal, etc., the treatment really does differ dramatically from person to person. My blue/black tattoo (~2.5 inches in diameter) was only six months old when I began treating it, and it also happened to be (lucky for me!) done in quite dense ink. I've received 9 laser treatments, and I've seen great progress in the removal so far - I probably have 5 or so more treatments before I'm nearing the "all gone" zone. This is totally in line with what I was told in my preliminary consultation, and Maia and the other specialists have been tracking and adjusting my treatment specific to my body's progress the whole time (sometimes a different laser is used, sometimes micro-needling is required, etc.). Yes, in my case, treatment is taking a long time, but that's just the name of the game. Maia and The Finery has done and continues to do absolutely everything they can to maximize and speed up my progress, and I completely trust that one day I will no longer have to look at this tattoo I don't want! Going into tattoo removal is a huge decision and you have to approach it with a full understanding that this is a long game, not a short one - if you are ready to pursue the YOU you want to see in the mirror, then I absolutely cannot recommend The Finery enough. Without a doubt in my mind, I will say this is the best company for tattoo removal in NYC (likely the country), and I wouldn't trust anyone else to treat you. I did PLENTY of research going into treatment at The Finery, and I couldn't feel more confident about my decision to be treated there. Yes, you will have a not-so-great-looking tattoo while it is being zapped out, but that's par for the course on the way to getting that ink out of your bod! I say, go for it! Commit to the process and make an appointment with Maia! The results after the first session (at least in my case) will be incredibly gratifying and you will be able to envision the eventual blank space that will replace that ink! The Finery is the only option to get you back to being you.

So far so good, seeing colors fade. I have a tribal black ink tattoo about 4 inch by 4 inch. I researched for awhile, among the tattoo removal places that are reputable, I’d say they’re good value. Super clean and professional and equipment. It’s definitely not cheap at $4k for 12 sessions but they let you do another year’s worth after you use all 12 and it’s still not gone

I am removing a small black wrist tattoo that is thin/medium thickness script. I met with Brianna for my consultation and first session. She explained how the removal process works and advised me that it would take approximately 6-8 sessions to completely remove the tattoo. So I went in to the Finery today (midtown) with high hopes and no expectations. Boy, was I (pleasantly) surprised! From the moment I walked in (twenty minutes late) to my appointment, everything was amazing and smooth. Ranella was super welcoming, helping to calm me down and get me settled. She joked with me and kept things light while the laser specialist Amber was getting ready. I was super nervous so this was really appreciated. Once I got in the little consultation room, Amber was superb. Friendly, bubbly, and knowledgeable, she told me the ins and outs and what I needed to know about what was about to go down (bear in mind, I came in worried about breast cancer and scarring lol). The whole process for me lasted all of 15 seconds and frankly wasn’t NEARLY as painful as I thought it would be. Now, while I do have a good number of tattoos and piercings, I’m still a huge chicken when it comes to the idea of “pain” so I was shook. BUT it was seriously nothing. lol the way amber put it was perfect: “it’s sort of like getting popped by bacon grease...but on a specific area.” In other words, it really didn’t hurt at all and for it to have lasted 10 seconds was like *eyeroll* what did I work myself up for?! For anyone with the inclination and the means, just do it. It’s super fast and more or less painless. Though I still have quite a few sessions to go, I am happy with how things went today and I honestly look forward to seeing how things will progress :) thank you Amber and Ranella!

So happy I went to tataway for my tattoo removal. their consultation was free and I appreciated their honesty and explaining and answering my millions of questions. Katie the laser technician was so sweet and made me feel very comfortable I was even laughing during my session. It did freakin hurt but it was over in 5 minutes. So apparently me review didn't post or save or anything. I have only had positive experiences with tataway and it's employees. Marta was originally my tech but sadly she is gone to other things. I am very happy Katie is my tech now. She has always been very professional with me. From the beginning I knew that if I didn't stop smoking the process would take longer than the original 6 treatments. Along the way she always encouraged and helped me to quit smoking which I did until recently. I did notice that during the period when I didn't smoke the tattoo faded more significantly than when I did smoke. For the person who was complaining that they were underpowering the laser I have never had this happen as she calibrated it to the point everytime I have gone in. We have been increasing the power and recovery time each time. Mine is fading more slowly mostly due to myself as I have been smoking cigarettes. Nicotine is a vascular constrictor which make blood flow less to your extremities i.e. my hand tattoo. I look forward to every time I have gone here besides the pain from the lasers as it has always felt extremely welcoming and comfortable. Last time they had limited edition dumdum suckers that were flavored like pizza and bacon. I cannot remember the new person's name and I am sorry for this because she too has also been very polite and proffessional. Anyway 5 stars from me for excellent customer service from really awesome people :)

I am updating this review. They called me and we worked something out although I am not happy to have to pay the $50 fee because of their oversight. But I am willing to give them and this procedure a try. Very unaccommodating. Tried to book a laser skin special via a promo and when I went in I was turned away because of a skin product I was using and was told to come back the following week. The weather has been really horrible and I wasn't prepared for a storm, so when I called to reschedule to tomorrow the woman said it was ok and then 15 mins later ANOTHER woman called me and told me I could not reschedule for the complimentary rate (if I knew this I would have just braved the storm and headed to the clinic) and so I called back seeking to speak with someone else and I got another answer: I would have to pay a $50 deposit fee because it was my second time rescheduling. Very inconsistent. I was looking forward to the service to see if I would be interested in a possible package for my skin problems but they just lost a customer for good.

Maia was so sweet and helpful with my removal process. I had purchased a groupon for another place and they really burned my arm. I was so scared that my arm would be forever ruined from the tattoo and now the laser treatment. I found Maia at The Finery, Tataway back then, and she reassured me that we can get the remainder of the ink out and correct the laser burn. After a few months of healing time, it was clear that I would get my arm back. There was a small amount of scarring leftover and I ended up getting a cover up for that, but Maia really fixed the rest to the point that it couldn't even been seen!
