Best tattoo experience by far. Christopher Cousins reached out to me soon after filling out the easy form and he was able to get me in way sooner than expected. He had drawn up something for me I never would have thought of and it was amazing! He made sure I was comfortable the whole time and was very clean. I’m so in love with my new tattoo! Christopher was also very thorough with after care instructions which I really appreciated. Super cool place and amazing people. I’ll be coming back for sure.

I’ve been wanting to have my back Tattooed as a tribute to my military service and as a nod to where I grew up as a kid. I decided to go Americana Sailor Jerry Style Clipper ship. So here is where this journey begins. So Greatful to SafeHouse for helping to make this dream come true for me. Everyone is very nice and helpful, very calm and relaxed atmosphere. The Artist are very knowledgeable and work very well as a team bouncing ideas off eachother. I highly recommend these guys if your needing a artist! Safe House is an incredible location to get a tattoo. Not only are the vibes immaculate, but the entire setup from check in to tattooing is special. Everyone there is a pure gem and a professional at their craft. Each artist has a unique style and they have someone for you. I've gotten all 5 of my tattoos here, and plan to keep coming back as long as I can. Christopher is my go to artist and I love everything that he has done for me. He is a great artist and takes his time to make sure everything is to his and your liking! UPDATE: Go visit Jordan also, he is a MADMAN and super talented!!

I had such a great experience at safe house, I would recommend them to anyone! The building is clean, staff is friendly with amazing artists... I have already had so many questions asking where I got my latest tattoo done (thanks Nathan for doing such an awesome job!). While it can take a while to get an appointment, I see that as a great sign. I would much rather wait longer and have an amazing tattoo over getting one ASAP and it be mediocre… Thanks again for the great experience.

Really cool shop with a really cool vibe! Adam is a really cool dude and his work is awesome! In fact I'd love to get work from a bunch of artists here! I was visiting TN and i was looking to get a tattoo from someone as I'd otherwise not be around. There was a mix up with booking but they hooked me up and got me a spot, so i was lucky enough to get something while in town. All the artists are really talented, i highly recommend coming here, even just for flash!

Everything about my experience was fantastic! The shop is beautiful, everyone is super professional and friendly. I am completely obsessed with my two new pieces! Carrie was prompt with email communication after I filled out the request form. I could tell off the bat that I had made the right choice. She made the entire tattoo process super comfortable for me, and took the time to make sure there was a partition around her station before she even took me back, because I had to be topless the whole time. My tattoos are absolutely beautiful, exactly what I wanted, and didn’t take her long at all to do. I highly recommend this shop, especially Carrie Cameron. Seriously look her up on Instagram, she’s a beast!!!!

Friendly helpful and incredibly talented lot. Particularly during a global health crisis. I asked English to draw up my dog in the style of a popular religious icon. She nailed every detail and the color is perfect. She was friendly and personable, which is definitely something you want in someone you'll be very close to for 7hrs. Can't recommend them enough. Especially if you are in the market for a pet portrait!

I visited Safe House Tattoo on July 23, 2020 and it was AWESOME!! The COVID-19 precautions were on point (temp checks, frequent hand washing and masks) and the waiting area was super chill. I got two pieces from Chris Cousins and he was great. They where my first pieces and i was super nervous but Chris made me feel super welcome and did a great job. Awesome conversation during the tattooing which was nice and helped calm my nerves. The art is freaking awesome and I will most definitely be coming back for more!!

They live up to their motto- a safe place for the Artists and art wearers. Everyone there is super Friendly and amazing! The shop was cute and clean. My artist Chip was super great and I love my new artwork! You can tell all the artists love what they do! All the other artists there working were super friendly too! Safe House will now be my forever tattoo home for all my future art. I highly recommend going, and cant wait to get my next piece.

I had a great experience from start to finish! Josh was great at communicating Chip's availability and keeping me updated. I sent a couple of references for my tattoo and Chip had a stencil of exactly what I had envisioned. They explain everything very well and make sure you know what you're getting into. I of course managed to get a bit sick before my session but they gave me plenty of slack and understood my nerves. This was my first time getting a tattoo and it couldn't have been a better experience for me. Chip was my artist and he did an amazing job! All of the artists at Safe House seem like really cool dudes with unique styles but Chip was absolutely hilarious. The shop was sterile but still had a calm and relaxing vibe. Josh (shop manager), who I had been in communication with prior to my appointment, was extremely attentive and responsive to my questions and concerns. Very clean tattoo shop. Staff was welcoming and courteous. We were walk-in clientele and they were accommodating. Artist came up and introduced himself. Most of the tattoo shops we have every been to have not been like this. It was truly a breath of fresh air. The owner was walking around anking the clients if they needed anything and seeing how everyone was doing. Again, EXTREMELY unheard of for a busy tattoo shop. My wife loves her new tattoo! Had a great experience here. Very clean shop in a renovated old warehouse giving the whole place a cool vibe. All the staff was really nice and interested in what each other was working on. English was perfect. She drew up a design based on what I wanted and it's perfect. She had a light touch so even the sensitive areas didn't hurt as much as they could have. LOVED! My daughter and I got tattooed by Ben Ritchie. We are so pleased with the way they turned out. I emailed the shop owner a picture of what we were looking for and he matched us with Ben. Ben took the picture and turned it into something that was similar, but still the styling that we wanted. Ben is quick and very talented! We had to wait several weeks for an appointment, however it was absolutely worth it! The staff is excellent. It is so clean, very efficient and very inviting. I will not be going anywhere else or to anyone else ever. I am already planning what I want next.

In my opinion, this is the best tattoo shop in Nashville. I've only worked with Ian (6 pieces since they've opened) but have also gotten to chat with and/or see work from the entire crew. I came Thursday evening semi-hoping for a walk-in availability, but instead making an appointment for the day after--I could already tell the guys there were pretty cool though. I came in the next day and got my first tattoo, and I love it! I got it done by a guest artist, Colin, and it looks great. The studio itself is also pretty cool, and super clean. So, walking in near close on a weekday may not be the most fruitful approach, but you can also send them emails and make appointments that way. I definitely recommend this place to others.

I paid $400 dollars for a tattoo by Chip Harbin. The first time i went the tattoo looked great, but when it healed the ink didn't heal well (no fault of his own). However, I went back two days ago to get it retouched and the line work looks terrible. (I posted pictures) all of the staff are very friendly and most of the tattoos coming out of there look awesome. Touch ups were free which was great, and customer service and vibe were great as well, but in my opinion the tattoo isn't worth $400.

I'm very skeptical when it comes to large commitments like a tattoo, but this exceeded all expectations. An added bonus, the costumer service and care here its impeccable. Chipper is an unbelievably talented tattoo artist and is the only one I would trust to do a watercolor tattoo on me. He has his own style and I just gave him a rough idea of what I was thinking, but I let him do the rest and my watercolor rose tattoo turned out perfectly. I have been looking for the right artist for a long time, and he was definitely it and worth the price. The atmosphere is super clean and inviting, with a fun, hipster feel. I have been going to Ben for years, well before he was at Safe House. As far as his work is concerned in my eyes I would never let anyone else touch me, but these guys at Safe House are awesome. I started my sleeve a year ago, and with my limited time availability I was in the shop once a month, so these guys seriously became like family. Chip's work is unreal, Adam kills some vintage vibe looks, Eli's work is beautiful, and English also produces some stunning work. Ben is my go-to, always has been, and always will be. Can't forget my main dude Hawkes, who keeps the ship afloat. Check em' out, you won't be sorry.

Just got a tattoo here, and was SUPER pleased. It was my first tattoo. I got some small text on my ankle. I have a preeetty ridiculous needle phobia, but the artist, Russ, was super accommodating and nice. He didn't make me feel bad at all. When I nearly passed out, he waited till I felt better to continue, and gave me some homemade oatmeal cream pies someone had left in the studio. He couldn't have been a nicer, more genuine, cool dude to have sticking needles into your flesh. The studio itself was warm and inviting, with artwork and photos all over the walls. It almost felt like a cool coffee shop cum tattoo studio. It felt very clean, and I'm sure was technically sterile, but it didn't have a sterile, cold feel to it at all. I will most def be back for my next tattoo, and I'm requesting Russ...though all the guys who work there are super cool and laid back. Thanks guys for the positive experience!

I recently got tattooed by Chip Harbin after seeing his incredible work on Instagram. The shop is located in a vintage building near downtown and the inside was clean and inviting. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Chip had about a 3 month waiting list, but it was well worth it. He's crazy talented. He really involved me with the design and you could tell he was very passionate about his art and making it a unique experience for me. I highly recommend Chip!

Then a friend introduced me to Ian... what an unbelievable experience it was from first meeting to completion. I basically told Ian a few things that concepts/ideas a lot to me - and he came up with visuals for them that are better than anything I could've ever imagined. It's been two years now, I love this tattoo every day, it's actually a daily reminder about how I want to live my life. Now I'm getting ready to get my other arm done with him. Upon arrival I was promptly greeted by Ian White for my appointment. Ian showed me the sketch he had prepared and suggested we start the new ink. I made an appointment with Chip Harbin (see his Instagram @Chipperharbin) , and my experience was phenomenal. I felt very comfortable with the atmosphere, the studio was very well-kept and clean, and safety procedures were followed to the T. I requested a color tattoo of a cardinal, as an extension of a previous tattoo. Chip integrated it beautifully keeping the vision of the original artist, while adding a beautiful piece of artwork and integrating both pieces. If I had not seen my tattoo before, I would have assumed that it was all done by one person. As Safe House tattoos is adding another location, one for walk-ins and the other mainly for appointments, I absolutely recommend their studio, and their artists. Our artist Mercedes Domagall was amazing. She helped us get our tattoos we had been wanting and customized them to our liking. Super cool, clean place! Highly recommend these guys!

He sketched out EXACTLY what I wanted before I had barely gotten the description out of my mouth and then asked me tons of questions about details I hadn't considered. While working he was easy to chat with and went above and beyond to not only make me comfortable, but excited about the process as well. And the tattoo.... I can't put into words how happy I am with it. It's everything I had imagined plus Chipper's AMAZING talent and creativity.
