I took my girls in to get their ears pierced and had the privilege of working with Tim! He was absolutely amazing with them and made sure they knew what he was doing the entire time. He walked through each step of the process with them and made them feel super comfortable. I came in expecting at least one of them to cry and neither of them even flinched! Absolutely no tears at all. If I could rate more than five stars I would! Tim is experienced and knows what he is doing. The shop is clean and welcoming, plus there is a huge selection of piercings to choose from! I highly recommend going to Virtue for all of your piercing needs!

The girl working up front to get me checked in was great as well. The shop was very clean and they have a nice selection of jewelry to choose from. It's so fun to see what they'll do next. From color to black and grey work, Ericka is always ready to work on a custom. If given enough reference photos and direction, they will come up with something truly unique. I highly recommend them.

Got a walk in navel piercing, didn’t have to wait long and Rachell was very helpful and kind in helping me pick my jewelry and do paperwork, and Tim is a great piercer. He took me step by step and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Was a little nervous to show my stomach but I never felt judged once and everyone was very professional :) it was also super cute and clean inside. Definitely recommend!!!!

Tim is the best for piercings! Very professional. Had my conch done as a walk in on a random Thursday. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The piercing to my surprise didn’t hurt at all! My husband And I went in so I could get my nose pierced and he could get his tattoo. Great experience! Rachel guided me with some good info about the jewelry and some nose piercing education. My husbands tattoo that was done by Gabe, was freaking awesome (purple flower.) he took his time and really strategized on where to add the purple flower. At some point, he’ll have a complete sleeve. Talented guy! Y’all are awesome

Me and my girlfriend came to get our ears pierced. There wasn't anyone at the front desk when we walked in for the first 5-10 minutes. However!! Tim showed up and immediately asked us if anyone had helped us with a great attitude and smile.. We said no. We told him the reason for our visit and started getting the paperwork ready. We probably waited around 5-10 minutes after we signed the paperwork to get pierced. He was professional and informative. He made the process so easy. Thank you Tim.

Went in for a couple ear piercings, a conch and a third lobe hole. Was in and out in an hour. Everyone was cool. They also didn’t give me the third lobe piercing because I didn’t quite have enough space and I love that they advised not to instead of taking my money and doing something that would be less than ideal for me. They have lots of earring options and a range of prices. I would definitely recommend Virtue!

Wow!! Found this gem of a studio via Instagram. Was looking for a reputable tattoo/piercing shop that had lots of jewelry options and Virtue Tattoo was definitely the place to be! Easy process from check-in, piercing, to check-out. Probably only took no more than 30 minutes! Loved the fact that I didn’t have to have an appointment and I could just walk in. Be prepared to be dazzled by all of the jewelry options because it was so hard to choose! All staff here that worked with me were friendly and super helpful. Tim who did my conch piercing and daith jewelry swap was above and beyond exceptional. So friendly and walked me through the whole process. I will definitely be coming back here for all of my tattoo and piercing needs. Cant recommend this shop enough!!

If you are interested in getting pierced, go to Virtue and ask for Tim. This wad my first time getting a nose piercing. It's so perfect. Tim is the only person in this world who I would trust to pierce me. I barely flinched. He talks you thru each step. My MiL and I were getting matching tattoos and my fiance was putting a deposit on his. I told the owner how I had severe trauma and they made the experience so much better and much less terrifying. Based on the many other excellent reviews on google, I decided to go to Virtue Tattoo for my first ever ear piercings. I got my lobes pierced and they look great. They had a good selection of jewelry, including titanium, gold and rose gold. My piercing was done by Paul, who was awesome. When I asked how long he’d being doing this - 18 years! That made me feel like I was in good hands right away. His demeanor was very calm and he explained the process as he did it. Got the piercings done quickly and with very minimum pain. The studs look great and I couldn’t be happier. A young man in the front completed my transaction and went over the aftercare with me very thoroughly (sorry didn’t get his name). Overall I was very pleased with this establishment. Another thing I noticed which I thought was really neat was how diverse the customers were. Just another cool thing about this place. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get a tattoo or piercing again, but I would definitely trust and go back to Virtue Tattoo!

He didn’t make it awkward at all and we are both very happy with the end result. He made sure to show us how he sterilized everything and made the environment clean and friendly. I had a nostril piercing at Virtue Tattoo recently and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I called to see if I needed to make an appointment, and the woman who answered the phone was so professional and helpful (no, you do not need to make an appointment but it's first-come-first-served so there might be a short wait). The shop is very, very clean and the walls are covered with really nice framed flash art. The young man working the front counter was very friendly and helpful with getting me signed in and with choosing my nose jewelry. After filling out the paperwork and a short wait, Paul came to escort me to the private room where the piercings are performed. Paul was also really friendly and helpful, and very professional, confident, and efficient with the piercing procedure (which is what you want from someone who is making a new hole in your face, haha!). Afterward, the young man who checked me in explained aftercare in detail and gave me printed instructions as well. The folks at Virtue take pride in their business and provide incredible customer service. I can't recommend this place enough!

This place is amazing by far because it’s clean, the employees are very professional, friendly & really respectful. My experience was by far the best service I’ve gotten at a tattoo/piercing establishment. The receptionist is super cool and knowledgeable as well as Tim (piercer). I got my Ashley done yesterday and he made it feel super easy and comfortable getting it because I didn’t really know what to expect. Everything was super sterile and that’s a big thing I personally look for. He took his time marking me to ensure it was straight and when it came to piercing time I barely felt it. He has 22 years of piercing experience so I’d definitely go in to see him if you are seeking a well seasoned piercer. 100% will go back for future piercings and tattoos later in the future, I know it’s going to be my spot to go to looking for these services!

He made sure all my questions were answered and that I was okay and it made the experience 100x easier for me, especially for how anxious I was! Went to Virtue to check the place out and get a consultation on a small tattoo I was looking to get. Immediately Jimmy approached me to discuss the tattoo and was very accommodating to my schedule and even offered to do it same day. If you are wanting a new piercing you should definitely go see Tim! Even if you are hesitant just go and talk to him. He is the kindest piercer I have interacted with and was very knowledgeable and patient which made me feel more at ease getting my piercing (I’m a pretty anxious person). He walks you through the sterilization process and everything he is doing so there are no surprises. The jewelry is definitely pricey but it is the highest quality. I have very sensitive skin and the jewelry they carry never gives me any issues. By far the best piercing experience I’ve had.

I got my ears pierced by Paul today after years of avoiding piercings due to a bad experience. Paul was super patient as I relayed my piercing history to him and 100% assuaged my fears of having a repeat. He very graciously answered all my questions before we started and told me exactly what to do to avoid developing scarring and told me if I had any issues to come back to him. I felt super comfortable proceeding with the piercing and actually am interested in getting more just because of this experience. I won’t let anyone else pierce me going forward. I LOVE the customer service here. I had my nose pierced in August 2020 and and my ear pierced in September 2021. Tim was nothing but polite and kind. He took his time explaining everything and made sure both piercings lined up with my other existing piercings and my own facial symmetry/anatomy. I have been pierced at other locations in Houston, and while they did a good job, the piercers were know-it-all jerks and I left annoyed and put off each time. This place takes its exceptional knowledge and adds great customer service to it. Plus, they sell high-end piercing jewelry, which is very hard to find in the Houston area. I had such an amazing experience!! I got my Tragus pierced here and it was nothing but amazing. They did such a good job presenting me with my options and all the jewelry was very high quality. I am severely allergic to nickel and none of their jewelry had nickel and it was so nice being able to pick whatever I wanted. They were very safe about covid and showed me all of their cleaning procedures before hand! They even sterilized my piercing in an autoclave!!! So cool! Came here on a whim because I constantly drive by, mostly to look for new jewelry to replace a helix piercing, but my soul has been craving another piercing over the past year. I came in as a walk-in and was happily greeted by their staff. I honestly did not see anything that spoke to my heart to replace my current helix jewelry, but I saw another piece that I absolutely loved. Yep, I guess I'm getting another piercing instead. You can tell that cleanliness is one of their top priorities as the entire shop was clean and Tim walks you through the sterilization process prior to piercing. He proceeded to do his thing and pierce my ear with precision, ease, and causing very minor discomfort that lasts a brief second. I appreciated that Virtue takes extra COVID precautions. Each guest is required to wear a mask, as expected, but only the customer that is getting a piercing/tattoo is allowed to be in the shop. Otherwise any other accompanying guests must wait outside in their vehicle to minimize the amount of people in the shop. I didn't catch the employee's name, but props to you for calmly explaining this to one of your customers while he was obviously upset about this rule! Walked in expecting only to change jewelry, walked out getting a completely new piercing. Great experience. 10/10 would recommend.

He was patient, compassionate, kind, silly, informative and everything a little girl (and her momma) needed for this experience. Hands down, best in town! I went back the next day to get my daith pierced and was for sure it was going to hurt based on what I had read. Nope it was just pressure and extremely fast. I came in knowing that Virtue Tattoo was a great place for piercing. I’d done my research and have been following their Instagram for a while prior to coming in and getting a couple of helix and conch piercings. They have a great selection of jewelry, the place is clean, and everyone was super professional. Prior to getting pierced, I was walked through the sterilization process and the piercing experience itself was as painless as it could have gone. They teach after care and provide you with a cleaning solution. I only hold out on giving five stars because only the morning after I got the piercing, did I realize that one helix piercing was lower on one ear compared to the other (a little uneven). I’m not too bothered by it because I did give my “ok” after the piercer marked my ears (we both just failed to notice at the time). I suppose I can just get the one ear fixed or arrange my jewelry differently (one of those “no use in crying over spilled milk” situations). Overall my experience was still good. These guys are kind, welcoming and would still recommend to a friend.

I got a tattoo today by Dwight and my experience was so AMAZING. I only intended to get a consultation but he took me as a walk-in and I got my tattoo about 2 hours later. I brought in a design and Dwight paid so much attention to the detail of the picture that it took him a while to draw it because he was trying to do it exactly as he saw it. I completely appreciated his desire to make sure that I had exactly what I wanted and once I explained to him that I just wanted the concept in the picture and he could draw it in his own way, he recreated it PERFECTLY. He was very precise in his work and made me feel very comfortable. His aftercare instructions were thorough and he even told me to come back after it completely heals for a touch up if I see spots that need an ink fill-in at no charge! This is the place to go if you want a clean establishment, great customer service, and talented artists.

Tim is very pleasant and profesional. We walked me through the whole process informing me of what all would take place before (sterilization process), during (piercing process and what to expect) and after including aftercare. This has not been the norm in the over 25 years of visiting tattoo and piercing establishments. I've since returned for an additional piercing and am thinking about having a necklace dermal done as well. Oh, and his jewelry selection is fabulous!

got some piercings here for the first time. tim was doing the piercings for me and showed me the process he was taking to make sure everything was sterile. was very friendly and answered any questions i had. explained and gave me a sheet to make sure i followed steps for the aftercare after getting a piercing. after a day, i had a concern about a potential alignment issue with a piercing so i called him up and he told me to come by so that he could take a look and make any adjustments, if needed. came by the next day so that he could take a look and address my concerns. he didn't make one excuse at all. he takes pride in his work and made sure i was okay with everything before i stepped out the store. he carefully re-measured to make sure he didn't make a mistake but the alignments were pretty much even. it was actually because the shape of my ears aren't exactly the same so it appears to look different. even so, he didn't sound agitated or annoyed. in fact, he said if i'm still not satisfied within two or three months for any reason (even after knowing the alignments are the same) i could come back and make some adjustments if i absolutely wanted to.

Just went last night to get my nipples pierced and I was extremely nervous about it. I spoke to Tim earlier in the day about it and he was SUPER nice and informative about everything. When I finally made it around to coming in, he made sure to explain everything to me and even explained how they sterilize everything (and showed it to me). Being in Houston all day waiting on another tattoo parlor. After not being treated as we mattered. I gave virtue a call and they let me know they were accepting walk ins. When my sister and I made it there, we were greeted by Tim. He is like so professional and kind. He listened to what we wanted, and even apologized to us for the shop that we went to before them. Before I went I already had in mind what i wanted. While we wait Tim was very entertaining. Jay was amazing, he didn't try to talk me out of anything, he did my Azalea tattoo just how I drew it myself and even added some improvements. Being that i got the tattoo on my foot, he made me extra comfortable, and though everyone isn't the same with pain, but on a scale of 1-10 on certain parts of my foot it was maybe a 6 or 7 with just the outline. It’s been two week since I got my piercing. I was nervous as I was getting a conch piercing and had questions. The piercer was out to lunch when I went in, but the staff that was there and personable as well as kind. So we returned in a hour and there were others waiting as well. We never felt neglected or brushed aside. The staff went out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed and cared for. Everyone was given personal time for questions, explainations, showing sterilization process, I cannot express how I appreciated it. Even though it was a little busy, I did not feel brushed or or ignored. I was also thankful that I was not misled anywhere. Meaning some will say it won’t hurt. My piercer was upfront, it’s gunna hurt, but only for a moment. Which was very true. Was about thirty seconds where I wondered about my choice, then I was fine. It’s healing well and I am extremely pleased and hope to return after this fully heals to get another one done. I searched for a piercer to re-pierce my nose after a bad experience in early December 2012 with a different piercer at a different tat/piercing location. I found Virtue and their piercer, Tim, through searching Google reviews. I saw a few positive reviews on Tim, but they were from 2011 and 2010, so I called the shop to see if he was still there. He was! I was asked if I'd like to talk to Tim and he was put on the phone. I explained to him what was all wrong with my last experience (kinda non-personal, not thorough customer service, not taking my opinion into account - finally resulting in a nose piercing in an undesirable place according to me, the nose owner! My fault for going with it...I know.) Tim was very friendly on the phone and answered all of my upfront questions. He explained to me that his job was to make me happy with his service and create repeat customers and referrals. Great! Much different than the ego I experienced at the other place. When my sister and I got there (she was getting a re-piercing from years ago), Tim greeted us and began professionally explaining his process and walking us through the jewelry selection. The other piercer did not at all review the jewelry with me. He simply asked me what price I was looking for and left it at that... Tim was able to describe the difference in the metals, the settings, and preferences associated with each... Also, he pierces the nostril with a 20 gauge, which is smaller than the 18 gauge the last guy did - even better! Sister and I felt ZERO EGO from Tim. He was the perfect blend of professionalism, friendliness, and artist. He walked us through his sterilization and piercing process. I got marked up and my input was totally accepted, not overruled by the "professional". We had 3 marks on my nose before deciding the hole should be between two of them, but definitely closer to one of them (see, Tim's that patient and good). I was offered the hand mirror AND was able to view the mark in a wall mirror which was not offered or available at the other place). I was laid down on the bed to pierce (other place I was only asked to sit), which I mention only because Tim also asked me how I felt afterward before sitting up, which I was not asked at the other place. One other point I'd like to make is that Tim had a certain finesse to his skill. I was not afraid of the pain, nor was I looking for a pain free experience (I have had 2 natural childbirths), but the other guy definitely left me feeling a bit jostled or manhandled...just saying! And after all this, the price was better overall! I paid the same price for a better piece of jewelry and a way more terrific experience! So, if you want a real professional, go see Tim at Virtue!

Don't understand what's with the negative reviews. I went in on a Sunday, and thankfully I didn't have to wait long. I had Neil do my tattoo ( it is my first tattoo). They are super friendly and professional, give you a quote once they see the design. The only thing they stress is seeing your ID, however old you are - which absolutely makes sense.

I have a 7 year old that screams like she was stabbed when she stubs her toe. We numbed her ears before and warned her it would hurt, but Tim is magic.
