Best tattoo experience I ever had! Stopped by yesterday to get more information and see if I can get on the schedule but was fully prepared to leave especially because in my experiences, most tattooists aren't familiar with service dogs and American disabilities act. Well to my pleasant surprise, I was met with respect and found that they are well educated with the laws, have communicated with the health departments to keep up with the health safety codes, and can tell the differences between a well trained service dog and one that does not meet the legal requirements/definition. My tattooist Colton not only kept up good conversations that kept me well entertained throughout the process, but also delivered a beautiful tattoo that I absolutely adore. This was also a bit unexpected since the last tattooist somewhere in Houston that did a lettering tattoo for me was much older/more experienced looking but made some more obvious flaws on that old one. This new one by Colton looks so clear and clean that although I originally got this as a reminder for myself in tough times, I can't stop looking at it randomly all the time just to see how pretty it is 😂 I wanted a good legible tattoo but this is better than what I imagined given my past experiences with other places. This store was kept very clean. I loved the atmosphere and everyone was so friendly. I highly highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be back here for my next one.

Last week I went into Artistic Impressions Tattoo Studio to consult and get a tattoo. This was my first tattoo and I was quite nervous. Everyone at the Studio was kind and helpful. I also brought in different pictures and Ulisses was able to peice together my thoughts. Ulisses did an amazing job on my tattoo and I am extremely happy with the result!! Lee did my piercing and he could tell I was a little freaked out and made me do breathing exercises with him and kept asking if I was okay. This was my first time going here and I totally recommend. They were very nice and it was a great environment. I didn’t know the process of cleaning and Lee was very helpful on telling me what to use and what to do!

I got my septum pierced. It was scary, and I was nervous because I was not sure how much pain to expect. Luckily, my piercer was super kind and gentle. They constantly reminded me to breath and that it was going to be ok. The piercing was quick, and I only felt a bit of burning. Since there is no way to make reservations, I had a walk-in appointment and it took less than 10 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. They are super professional and I definitely recommend getting piercings done here!

My best friend and I came to Artistic Impressions a couple of months ago and both got tattoos from Colton. We loved them! Today I went back to have Colton add a few more details to my piece. Again, he did a wonderful job! There is another piece that I want done and I showed it to Colton and he very, very professionally told me that he would be more comfortable referring me to another artist, Chase, because the printing on the piece I want is very small. I was able to meet Chase on the spot and set up an appointment to have him do my work at a different date. The studio is very clean, the gentleman at reception, Chris (I think) is very helpful, friendly, and made me feel very comfortable. Plus, the music they play is a great mix. 10 out of 10 recommend Artistic Impressions.

I've come here for my navel piercing, my second earlobe, and most recently my helix in April. Jay did my navel and earlobe piercings and he's fantastic, but unfortunately he no longer works here. A different guy did my helix but let's just say he wasn't that welcoming. Piercings can be a bit nerve wracking or painful at times, and I appreciate piercers who are more gentle and overall kind or upbeat. It helps ease some of the nervousness. I went back about a week later because the backing of the stud I was pierced with was too close to the hole and was resulting in pain and no room for swelling. My original piercer wasn't there that day, so LEE LOPEZ saw me and took a look. He was super kind and loosened it for me and also suggested coming back in a couple weeks to pierce with a hoop instead if it doesn't feel better. He gave me his business card and welcomed me to message him with any questions I had (which I had multiple lol). If you want a good quality piercing and the best customer service, I recommend asking for Lee!

I went to get a lobe piercing here and the process was smooth and quick. The area was clean, professionals were trained, & aftercare instructions are provided through a pamphlet afterwards. My only complaint is that I would’ve wanted a better explanation about aftercare & types of piercings they offered, like I’ve received at other shops. Not sure if they were too busy that day, but it seemed like they were trying to get me out the door as quickly as possible.

I’ve been working on a sleeve over the last year or so, with Chase Young. He’s excellent! No matter how crazy your ideas are, he listens. He uses his imagination and artistry to make your ideas come to life. Chase is also honest and objective... He will tell you what will and won’t work and why. Then suggest modifications that will work. He’s as gentle as one can be with a needle. I’m always impressed with the results! The pic is a little grainy and doesn’t justify how beautiful it is. Check out the color! Can’t wait to post my whole arm when it’s done!

I originally went back into this place after being frustrated with the way my septum turned out. The owner was quick to get a piercer to address any of my concerns and problems at no cost. I got my double helix done here and a nostril piercing with a friend and the piercer was amazing and made us incredibly comfortable (I think her name was Audrey). From beginning to end, the experience here was great. The staff is very professional and attentive. The shop is big, bright and very clean on the inside and out. My tattoo artist was Mark who I highly recommend you checking him out. I came in with a basic idea of what I wanted to cover up and old tattoo with and he handcrafted a piece from the God's. He definitely helped me regain my confidence in showing off my tattoo and I look forward to adding new pieces to it. His apprentice Alana is a sweetheart and was great during the whole session. I really liked the look and feel of the shop, both clean and eclectic. I recognized one of the ink artists, BB actually did some ink on me a long time ago at a shop he was at on westheimer, so that was kinda cool to see. I have been itching for more ink so I will keep this place in mind.

I absolutely loved my piercer!! His name is Lee Lopez. I had a moment where I started shaking from nerves. I wasn't nervous for the pain or piercing but I have extremely bad social anxiety and when he got closer to me, as one does when they have to pierce you, I starting shaking involuntarily. He did such an amazing job of calming me down, he talked about things where I could get to know him better so I wasn't so nervous. He really took charge and helped me so much! I honestly can't wait until these heal so I can get more from him. 10 million out of 10 would recommend. It's so clean, so professional and absolutely somewhere you should go when getting a piercing done. Oh! I got both lobes re-pierced and 2 upper cartilage. Zero out of ten pain for the lobes and 2.5 out of 10 for the cartilage. I hope this helps!

I have visited Artistic Impressions for ~5 of various ear piercings over the past few years and have always had a really positive experience. The environment and tools are clean/sterile - the staff takes piercing and post-piercing hygiene very seriously. The quality of the piercing (the angle, spacing between multiple piercings, etc.) is professional-grade; I have been to other piercing studios where the piercers have complimented the piercings I have received. Recently, two of my piercings came out of my ear while I was sleeping and I went into the studio to get them put back as I wasn't able to do it myself. I saw Chase, who was incredibly patient and helpful as he put my piercings back in. Not only was he calm and kind during this interaction, he also didn't charge me for this service. I will definitely return for any future piercings as it's now been nearly 9 years since my first piercing with them and have been happy with the quality of work ever since.

I got my arm done here by Henry Garza. At first on the day of, I was nervous because he hadn't made a drawing for me. He drew a very simple drawing and I gave him artistic freedom to make it badass and he freehanded the whole thing. I get compliments on it all the time. It has been 2 years and still looks fantastic. My father got his arm done by Tyler and it also came out great. Both artists are very strong.

First of all my tattoo artist was "Green" aka Timothy Green. Want to say he was an excellent artist and I wouldn't mind coming back to him again for another tattoo. He did my very first tattoo. Green didn't rush me one bit. He took the time to talk and socialize with me, having good interpersonal conversation about what I want. He is very approachable, that's why I chose Green as my tattoo artist. A week before my tattoo, he walked me through some ideas. I exchange some of my ideas. Green was very receptive about my input. We communicated via text for a week before my appointment. He kept me up to date of my tattoo sketch. I was comfortable to tell him what I like and didn't like. Green was fine with scratching out a sketch that I didn't like. On the day of my appointment. He walked me through the tools and he slowly transitioned me through the tattoo process. He'd explain to me what's going on and the general time of how long the needle was going to run on me. I felt comfortable and easy with the process. We even socialize in between to keep my mind off the tattoo process. I will say, I am very satisfied with his work and the results gotten me many praises from the support of family, friends, and random public strangers who noticed. I came back for my free touch up a couple weeks later within the touch up policy. Green again, treated me with kindness and respect. Continued to give good quality work. I appreciate Green for being a great tattoo artist.

This place has great service & a comfortable atmosphere. I was treated with respect when I walked through the door. The artist that I highly recommend is Erick. His tattooing style is what I personally prefer giving crisp line work & impressive shading abilities. He heard me out on all the details I wanted then added his spin on it & the out come was awesome!! I love it!!! Looking around me as other artists were at work I was impressed with the amount of talent! One artist was applying a galaxy on a customer.... a freaking galaxy!!! I will definitely be going back to add on to my sleeve in the near future!

Came in to get some piercings with my friends, and it was a fantastic time! I think our piercer's name was Lee. And he was super nice! My friends and I were definitely a hassle but he worked with all of us and was able to get us what we wanted. 2 helix piercings, changing out jewelry for a navel piercing, and 2 double lobe piercings between the 3 of us. It 'seemed' a bit pricy but since jewelry comes with it, it was so worth it. We had a wonderful time and it all turned out great!! 100% recommend this place! PS, the music in the place is awesome. Hit all my favorite genres!

Spiro, the owner, did my tattoo. For a rib tattoo, (I've had 2 rib tattoos prior), the procedure was minimally painful. He was extremely professional and attentive. It's Day 2 and I was completely unaware of it at work; no excessive redness, soreness, or irritation. 3 of my friends also got tattoos with me and each one left satisfied. I feel very lucky that this place is so close to my house (Katy location). This shop is super clean and all of the employees are so nice. I was looking to get a Chi Rho symbol tattoo from a pretty detailed stone carving. I had been to a few other shops and just didn't get a good feeling about them. I was in a store one day and saw a gorgeous tattoo on the girl who checked me out. She referred me to AI. When I got around to getting my tattoo redone, I talked to Mike, who told me he couldn't fix what I had, but he could cover it for me. When I told my daughter that I was getting my tattoo covered, she asked me to take her to get her first one. We went through all the books, and she chose Danny who did an awesome tattoo on her back making her very happy. We went back the next week and had Danny do wiener dog tattoos on our feet which both turned out great. When my appointment with Mike finally rolled around (he's busy and well worth the wait), he took some time to look at few pictures, then free handed that tattoo directly onto my leg matching the previous lines with the new ones. The tattoo came out gorgeous, and even though you can see some of the old tattoo, it somehow ends up looking like it's some weird shading that belongs there. I can't express how happy I am with it. So far as everyone else goes, I've met Spiro, Mich, Mike, Danny, Andrea, an intern, and the night receptionist, and every single one of them are nice, make sure to speak to people and comment on the tattoos that are going on. Nice folks work here! Finally, I am a little weird about who touches me with what, and I tend to examine the places I patronize with an eagle eye, and I can tell you, that place is spotless and as sanitary as it gets. All in all, I highly recommend getting your artwork done here. These people are professional, likable, and 100% honest about everything they do. Two thumbs up!!

Came in on black Friday for their awesome deal they were having. This was my second time getting a tattoo here. First time was with gideon who did an amazing job and this past time I got Jorge who was just perfect to do my ink. He was very sweet about me being nervous and shaking, he explained to me what was going to happen and had it done in less than 5 minutes. I got my nose pierced here. Really clean and fast work. My only problem is how they handle business. I was initially told $45 for the piercing by one of the tattoo artist ( I was looking forward to getting a tattoo by him) the actual body piercer told me to pick my ring which I did. As we got done and I got ready to pay he said it was $62. I asked about the price difference to which he replied that it was because of the ring I chose. Not once was the prices of the rings mentioned before so I was completely unaware of this fact. I paid $75 (tip) and left. Wish I could’ve gotten a tattoo by them but do not trust them.

I went three weeks ago and my industrial piercing done by Jay and he gave me detail instruction on aftercare and it has been healing wonderfully. They are always laughing and having fun when I go. I have gone to other places win friends and those places don’t feel friendly at all. I have had people ask me where a great tattoo place is at and Artistic Impressions will always be my go too.

He placed the heart on my wrist where if I put my thumb on it I can feel my pulse as if our hearts are beating together. It is very special. I recently decided to get my first tattoo and spoke with Spiro about what I wanted. I had spoken with him before several times and he was extremely patient with me and in helping me design what I wanted. I don't know how he does it, but I'm not an artistic person when it comes to getting pictures out of my head and onto paper. When he showed me what he designed I was excited and amazed. His artistic talents are simply remarkable. I set an appointment with Brianna who explained everything to me and answered any questions I could think of. When I met Spiro at his shop to get the tattoo I met several of the artists who were working that day as well. Every single person inside was friendly, professional and just made the place feel great. The shop was extremely clean, it's obvious that they take cleanliness very seriously; from the front desk to the chairs and equipment, and the restrooms. It was so clean I could have expected to eat a nice dinner at the end of my session. So this is a major plus to me, cleanliness of a business reflects on the professionalism and how much a business cares about itself in my opinion. The session took about 4.5 hours and the artwork that's now on my arm is awesome. I could not have imagined it looking any better. In summary; 10/10 would highly recommend! Everything from the planning of the tattoo, to the attention to detail with the business, the cleanliness, the professional and friendly staff and the AMAZING artwork and quality left me wanting more. This place is seriously the best. I came as a walk-in so I expected a wait, but pretty much every artist was booked up. Luckily, I had already spoken with one of the artists, Freddie, earlier in the week about the tattoo I wanted, and he said he would fit me in later that evening. The tattoo application was way less painful than I thought it would be. Freddie doesn't have a heavy hand and was super patient through the whole process.This was my first tat and I wasn't sure what to expect, but all the artists at AI are really good at their craft, and at making people feel comfortable (really important for folks who suffer from anxiety.) I was so worried my first tattoo would be terrible, but it turned out absolutely perfect! The colors and shading are beautiful. Personally, I'll be calling on Freddie for my future tats, but all the guys here are super talented and you won't regret checking them out.

I came in for a small piece and the guy I originally talked to ended up having car trouble that morning. Spiro (the owner) said I could reschedule but that if I would like, he had time to do it. Chase did a fantastic job on a pair of tattoos for my husband and I! When setting the appointment, we described what we would like and he perfectly put our idea into ink. His sketch was exactly what we had wanted, so we've definitely found an artist we'll return to! It isn't always easy to find someone who can match an image in your head so well. Chase was professional, but personable and made the experience wonderful. This was my husband's first tattoo and it could not have been better. Prior to this experience, I already had a handful of tattoos and knew what to expect, but was still impressed at how comfortable we were here. The shop itself has a good atmosphere, Netflix was playing and everyone on staff was super friendly. Seriously, go here. Got my first tattoo here with my sister other day. Was cool. My artist was very to himself, didn't small talk , joke around or anything one would expect in a customer service field. But he had a awesome light hand while tattooing. I feel like tattoo pricing was high for such a small tattoo...but although minimum was 80$ we decided to get the little tattoo based on family good word. And I honestly expected the minimum of 80$ at max but we paid 100$ each.. I may come back for a better tattoo that will be worth the $$ later. But for all my small ones I plan to get i have to go elsewhere. Thanks for a great experience.

If you are looking for a place to go get tattooed on a whim, or spur of the moment. This is not the place for you, there is no flash covering the walls so you can pick out a flower or a butterfly (that 1,000's of other people have) They do 1 of a kind works of art. The first time I went in to meet with Spiro I had a VERY basic idea of what I wanted for a memorial tattoo, he listened to my idea, made some suggestions (that were awesome btw) then asked me to go home and think about it for a while before my actual appointment to get tattooed. When my appointment time came we talked again for a bit about the meaning of the tat, looked at a a few pictures of owls online for reference and got to work. Spiro started drawing the design right on my arm, a few hours later the first session was done and it looks amazing. Cant wait to get it finished. All of the artists in this shop are super friendly, and I got to see a lot of them work while getting tattooed by Spiro. They do fantastic work....every single one of them. I also saw several come in for piercings, I didnt get the piercers name but he was extremely knowledgeable and patient with answering questions. This is how a visit to a tattoo studio should be.

I had a great experience with AI Tattoo Studio and their artist Jorge. I found out about Jorge through a friend who got a left chest piece from him. Ever since then, I followed him on Instagram since I had a chest piece in mind. Fast forward a few months, I messaged Jorge on a consultation. He replied saying to stop by the shop anytime. Late July, I stopped by, we talked about the piece I wanted, and an appointment was set right there and then for Aug 20. Appointment day, he puts together my chest piece and he starts working on it. Throughout the entire process, he's always communicating to make sure we're on the same page with the breaks and the art itself. You can tell Jorge and everyone at AI really just want the best tattoo for each individual client, and they enjoy creating tattoos in general. Great tattoo experience!!! From the beginning stepping into the shop. Jamie was so nice she had a giant smile and quickly came to help my friend and I. She was so great throughout the whole experience, she didn't forget about us at all. We sat in the couch and would go and check up on us to see if we were ok. Then my tattoo by Colton Keffer was better than what I had pictured. He was great in placement and was worried about my comfort. I asked if he could color the flowers yellow and he did a beautiful combination of yellows and even added some green in the leaves. My take on Artistic Impressions in Katy, My wife and I went to AI in late Oct or early Nov 2016 as a walk in around noon. No appointment. The artist who greeted us said that he could do both tattoos without a problem. We showed him what we wanted and he went to work drawing and doing artist stuff. about an hour later he was ready to start on my wife's foot tattoo. That went along great except for a few minor interruptions. He finished her up and it looked great. My turn went a hour or so longer than hers and again after a few minor artist interruptions, mine was done. It looked great. so, after 8 hours , we were done and We were happy. The place has a great atmosphere. Come back in a month or so for touch ups . About 5 weeks later, I FacedBooked a request to be touched up and I was told my artist was no longer there. We would need to be touched up by the Manager. I'm thinking maybe we are getting the run a round from them... So after a couple of emails to the Great Office manager, Brianna, i was told that the manager was on paternity leave until March. Again , I'm thinking a run a round is happening, so We agree march it is. So about the time March is approaching and the wife, is pushing me to contact the Awesome Brianna for some news, I get a "Let's Make this Happen NOW" email and we are off to the races. So, my doubts were false... No run around, just Great customer service. So over two appointments, Spiro (An Awesome Guy, btw, You should meet him) turned our two great Tattoos in to two Outstanding Tats with some excellent touch-ups. We show them to anyone who wants to see them . Artistic Impressions is a Great place and will be our tattoo shop for all our needs. Thanks Guys!

Henry is such a nice guy and definitely takes pride in what he does! When I went there, I had reference pictures and an idea of what I wanted but after Henry drew it up, it was better than I could of ever imagined. He's not just a great tattooer but is also a very skilled artist! I have several tattoos but this is only the second one I have gotten at Artistic Impressions (my first one was with Spiro who also did a really great job) and I will never go any place else! Having seen many peoples tattoos walk out of there in all the times I have been there, I can honestly say that every artist does amazing work. They are very flexible and very attentive to your needs and actually have a conversation with you about what you want and how you want it. The set up is not like your "typical" tattoo parlor. Name states Studio and Art Gallery for a reason. Extremely clean inside and well kept. Today is the second time I got work done at Artistic Impressions. Both times I went to the artist BB. He touched up an old tattoo from a few years ago and added to it. I merely stated that I wanted the design to be similar to what is currently there and let him do the rest. I learned its best to find a good artist and let them come up with a design. His draft design was better than my best. Soon as he started I kept quiet so he could focus but soon realized he and the other artists were chatting and joking around which certainly put me at ease. Made the time more enjoyable and had a few laughs in the process. As for my tattoo, its looks incredible. Some parts he just free handed. I trust his judgement as some things might look good on paper but not necessarily on skin. Also, the price is very fair. I allocated a select amount of money for the touch up and add on. I told him up front about this and my long term plan to keep adding over time and he was willing to work with me on it. I wasn't sure how he would take it but I didn't sense any reservations and irritation from him. Simply stated, I have found my artist and tattoo studio. Nicely done by BB and Artistic Impressions.

When a person looks to have a tattoo done, not just a 1 hour spur of the moment thing (not that this is a bad thing), but a tattoo that is truly a special work of art, I would hope that they do their homework on an artist and a business. Before I let an artist put a needle to my wife, I did just that and found that AI is a very professional, clean and comfortable shop. When you walk in, you can smell that this place is clean and immediately understand that the artist take sanitary measures to keep their people safe very seriously. Hell, that place is more sanitary than hospitals I have been in. This was about three years ago and AI has grown because the people there truly love what they do, and I can vouch for Mike Ashworth and Spiro’s work as top shelf. Mike Ashworth, my wife’s and my artist, is truly a gifted professional and a humble and exceedingly nice dude (he will probably roll his eyes if he reads this, hahaha). He is also not afraid to let you know that your idea may not turn out well. They will work with you to make you happy in the end. I have also noticed at just how honest these guys are with what they charge for. Yes, the hourly rate is not cheap but they also don’t stick it to you by charging you for breaks or things that come up when they are not working on you. I have never felt like I didn’t get what I paid for and I have paid for A LOT. Overall, my wife and I have spent at least 30 hours or more of time getting tattoo work done at AI over three years, and we have really enjoyed the experience (even though tattoo’s hurt like hell, hahaha). All of our tattoos have healed quite well and are withstanding the test of time. That is tribute to the sanitary conditions and the skills. For the people who trash AI or talk as if the artists there did them wrong, I find it hard to believe. It is usually some douche that wants work done at some ‘friend rate’ or expects the artist to put them above everything else in the world. Art takes time, time for you to help the artist understand what you want, time for the artist to digest your ideas, time for the artist to sketch and/or find a direction to go, time for them to setup and make sure everything is clean, and time to put ink on you. So, don't be in a hurry, enjoy the whole experience and make sure you can afford it BEFORE walking in the door. If you do those things, the experince is something you carry with you forever...we do.

If you are looking for the stereo-typical tattoo experience you will not find it here. It's clean and bright. The people are incredibly pleasant and helpful and it's a very relaxed environment. They were happy to answer questions from a very nervous customer on my part. Mike Ashworth did my work for me working off of a design that i had in my head. He listened to what i wanted and came up with the design i was trying to describe perfectly. Each of the artists have books showcasing their work online as well as in the studio, so you have plenty of previous work to examine to help you determine whose style suits you best. I'm sure i'll be a repeat customer down the road and i've already recommended them to a number of my friends. Thanks for the great work Mike!

I got my first ink done at the beginning of March at Artistic Impressions by happenstance. My husband and i were at the sex shop next door and decided to go in and talk to someone. When we walked in, immediately i had a good feeling. I didn't really know what to expect but, it wasn't this. The shop was in pristine condition. The people looked up and acknowledged you with warmth in their eyes. Nate was the guy we spoke with. I told him what I wanted and placed. To our surprise, he was NOT like "ok, jump on the table and let's go". Instead, he wanted us to think it over, and really decide on the size and placement. A week later, he remembered us and was so happy that we came back. The entire process took about and hour and a half. I was extremely nervous but Nate calmed me down and reminded me to breath. All the other artists came over and glanced at my design and his work and were impressed with both. Nate is top notch class. If i ever find myself wanting more ink, no doubt i will be going back to Artistic Impressions. They are Da Bomb!!

In and out quick. The guy who pierced my son’s ears had a vibe of: A. I don’t like humans (even my son asked me afterwards) B. He didn’t enjoy his job C. He was in a hurry I get that WE are all dealing with much lately, that life has gave us a 720, however, there’s NO EXCUSE for attitude when interacting with others (you as the provider, or as a client) period! Everyone has bad days, and I’d never make that an excuse to be rude to anyone period. Would I come back? Hmmm, I don’t know. I hate paying for an incomplete service. Customer service is a serious money maker!
