From the consult to walking out with a completed tattoo, the process was smooth and easy. Endry you are an incredible artist and your work is one of a kind! Thank you for being so patient with me on my first tattoo and helping me talk through the placement, ideas, and general overview of everything. You have amazing skill and obviously work extremely hard, here's to the future and hoping you stick with tattooing because it would be doing the world a disservice not to have your amazing works in it! Great tattoo shop, would definitely recommend and there's a high chance I come back in the future.

I decided to get tattoos on my fingers, and I booked a time with Tommy. He was wonderful and professional. He guided me to choose the best placement and order of the designs for each finger, and I’m beyond satisfied! I loved it! It wasn’t painful, and the time went so fast. He did it just like I wanted, the fine lines style. I highly recommend Tommy and this studio! Nice folks and location too.

This tattoo shop is incredible. The artist that did my work is named Endry and he's very professional but also really friendly. I gave him a sketch for 2 different tattoos that he used for his own sketches and he had them finished super fast. Very easy to talk to about any alterations you want me to his sketch. He'll also give you really good advice about why what you want changed might not be a good idea; he always has the tattoos' longevity in mind and wants to make sure it looks good for years to come, not just the first few weeks. He's incredibly talented with hyper realistic tattoos but also with color tattoos. Anything you want done, he's your guy. That said, all the artists are very very talented. I don't even live in California but I'll only go to this shop from now on.

I was nervous going into it because it was my first tattoo. I was paired up with Tommy and from our consultation he made me feel comfortable which I appreciated so much. The day of, I wasn’t sure with the placement of my tattoo but he told me he could put the stencil on and see where I liked it more. He never made me feel uncomfortable and was so nice. I got my dog’s paw print and he had asked about her. We both shared that we lost our dogs. So hearing his experience made me feel so happy and it truly means more to me knowing I got my tattoo done by someone who shares the same perspective on losing a pet. I’m definitely coming back for my future tattoos!

I looked for so long to find a fine line artist that I really liked and I fell in love with Malvi and her tattoos. She really took the idea I had in my head and said "hold my beer" haha. It's so much better than I had expected and she was so easy to work with and very sweet. All of the other artists I saw while I was having my tattoo done were very personable and professional. It's a little hole in the wall place but the staff and atmosphere pack a punch! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would, and a special thanks to Malvi for her attentiveness and care!

This is an amazing studio and my artist Malvi did a phenomenal job on my tattoo! She captured the essence of my ideas and created a unique design that perfectly fit my personality and style. She suggested sizes, placements and rotation to the location I wished to do, and performed the work efficiently and quickly. The tattoo was awesome, it was not painful at all and the experience was great on the studio with very pleasant music and chatting with the other artists as well. Besides, I was able to park in front of the studio. Definitely recommend them!

I’d recommend this place to ANYONE. Booking was so easy. I filled out the form on their website, and someone got in touch with me in literally minutes. They answered me questions, and I secured my appointment. My artist was Pony. He was so nice and professional. He took the time to talk with me and make sure I got exactly what I wanted even if it took multiple edits before actually picking up the needle. When he did, he was meticulous and took his time. Literally no complaints. Clean facility and every artist there seemed very welcoming. I’m only in the area for a short time, but if I’m looking to get inked again I will definitely be booking here and with Pony.

He took his time experimenting with the placement so I could leave the parlor happy. The quality of work was great and every worker in the shop seemed to really care about their craft (which is not always the case). Went here to get my first tattoo and the experience was good. The Front Office customer service here is exceptional!! From my first inquiry through checking in for my appointment, they were quick to respond, answered all my questions, and helped make the booking/deposit experience seamless. The tattooing itself was not as painful as I thought it would be, however before starting the artist Pony did ask me if I was ok and if the sensation was tolerable which I appreciated. I will consider coming back once I've decided what I want for my next tattoo!

Amazing work from Tommy!!! I came in with a photo and he rendered it and gave me size and pricing options super quickly as well as making sure I had proper positioning to prevent the image distorting; the session in total took about 30mins and the results are incredible. I told my friend to book her own appointment there as soon as I got back to our place and she went in the next day and also had a great experience. Everybody there was really genuine and friendly but not in that typical LA kinda phony way, super chill and confident which just made me feel comfortable straight away. Great experience overall, next time I'm in LA I'm definitely stopping in for another piece. Thanks!

The shop is fantastic! I emailed them one morning over the weekend to ask about pricing and artists that might be able to do a large, hot pink monarch butterfly on my arm and immediately got a text and email back with pricing info. They even fit me in with Tommy that evening! Tommy is an incredible artist with a light touch and the outcome was so perfect that I immediately booked my next appointment there on the spot - an even larger tattoo down my forearm. I have been coming here for all of my tattoos. Not once I have ever been disappointed. I go to Malwina, she is so gently getting me ready for my session and during. She is also so patient with the designs and will sit with you to make it prefect. All of my tattoos have healed so amazing and quick! I have always been treated really well by everyone in the shop. Setting up an appointment is really easy. The directions and finding parking in front or in parking garage is very easy. I will keep coming up here.

After researching several shops and getting a prompt response to my questions, I decided to send a deposit and book an appointment. They set me up with Sam. They all greeted me upon arrival and Sam confirmed my design and then got to it. He was really down to earth, which helped me relax and chatted just enough to distract. He had a very light hand while doing the tattoo. I'm very happy with my tattoo and even showed him another design that I was considering. I will go back and ask for Sam to do the next piece. If you are looking for a shop that's responsive, clean, timely, personable, professional, with skillful/talented artists, I recommend you come here. The shop was also easy to find and there were plenty available metered spots for a Friday night.

Visiting LA I wanted to ink the experience. Before going I did some research and Honorable Society kept coming up on best shop lists. I reached out via email and discussed designs. Left a small deposit ( remember I’m not local) and the assigned me to Tommy. Day off I was prompt, and artist Tommy was ready. A few tweaks to the design and away we went. Took less time than we thought ( I eliminated some of the original design) and I was charged accordingly. Beautiful work, fairly priced. I can’t wait to get back to NY and show my friends.

It’s clear why he is booked out for months. I could not be happier with the result. I was going to be in Los Angeles and wanted two tattoos while I was in town. The reservation and down payment process was easy. An artist friend created a line drawing for me and Deniz used that to create a forearm tattoo. He was great with advising me on the size and placement. Then he created a coordinate tattoo for the side of my calf, and he was a great help with the size and placement of the numbers. My time in the chair was great; Deniz was very personable. I would highly recommend him and the Honorable Society.

I searched online for the perfect artist for me; the style I wanted and the reputation to match. And it lead me to Endry at THST. Consult was quick, I got very good vibes from him. He seemed to know what I was going for. I booked an apt via their assistant shortly thereafter and paid my deposit. I was nervous when I arrived but Endry was amazing; talked me through each step- how it would look, what we would be doing, length of time to expect for each. He checked in frequently and I was offered breaks as needed. He worked carefully and diligently. It took about seven hours start to finish. The end result is absolutely stunning; everything I had hoped and more. He had creative freedom for a piece of it and he perfectly succeeded in making it something that reflected ME. It was a tiring session but I would do it all over again and I can’t recommend him enough for his beautiful work, his patience and being an all around respectful tattoo professional. The shop is also amazingly well decorated, has a great vibe and I gather that the staff are all pretty chill and easy going. 10/10 would recommend.

My wife and I contacted Honorable Society via email and we received almost immediate response to schedule an appointment with Malvi. We really liked her designs on her instagram so wanted to schedule her. Malvi herself contacted us to confirm the appointment again which was great. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and Malvi was very sweet and kind in answering all our questions. Her prep time was quick and when my wife got her tattoos the pain was minimal. Both tattoos turned out beautiful and we consulted with her for another one in the future. Payment was done through paypal for both the deposit and final payment. Everything was just so easy. Highly recommend Malvi and the shop itself.

I went to Michael Kortez for my first tattoo and it was awesome. He works out of the back studio and plays good music so it was a relaxing vibe. He was so gentle I didn’t feel anything and he used his intuition to guide the session which made my design turn out better than I expected. My only suggestion would be to either have a consultation before hand or know exactly the design you want.

WOW!!! If there was a way to give more stars, I definitely would!! This place is amazing! I went there to get a tattoo for Farmer Boy's 40th Anniversary promotion. Farmer Boy's set up the appointment for me and sent me an email telling me about my appointment about a week before. I made sure to get there early for my tattoo that day. Unfortunately there was some mistake about my appointment and they didn't have me on the calendar for that day. That is when Marcos came in and saved the day!! He took me anyway and pushed his schedule back a bit to accommodate me. I had traveled quite a distance in heavy traffic and he understood. On top of that this tattoo is by far the absolute best one I've ever gotten. The details and color are so AMAZING!! And this is a small 2x2 tattoo! To get that detail takes a skilled hand. Endry was incredible. I have had multiple tattoos done here in the past with people I don't remember their names over the years and they have all been wonderful experiences. This last time I worked with Endry and got 2 tattoos redone and 1 new tattoo. He made my ugly old tattoos look BEAUTIFUL when he retouched them up. He also made a sick design for the hummingbird I wanted and did beautiful shading and linework. He was so polite and sweet and knowledgable and he made me and my sister feel really at ease. It overall was just a really fun experience!

I'm 52 and just got my first tattoo. Guess you could say I like to look before I leap... for a really long time! When I finally decided I was ready, I reached out to a place that had caught my eye a few years ago: The Honorable Society. Immediately, they replied to my email with a possible tattoo artist. When I was unsure about the first artist and I explained more of what I wanted, they suggested Sam. That felt like a very professional start. Sam met with me, told me when he'd be available and even sent me a sketch beforehand.

My best friend and I wanted to get a tattoo that symbolized our friendship, our Korean culture, and the bonds we’ve created from our cultural experiences. Both of us were not local and were only in LA for a few days so we wanted to make sure we had enough time to talk over the design and fit of the tattoo. We had scheduled the appointment 4 months ahead (mid August). We also sent over a few designs over to the studio and was assigned our artist Endry. You can also follow him or other artists from the studio on Instagram to see the portfolio of their work! Our design was created the day we arrived for the appointment early December (sometimes standard) and Endry chatted with us for a good 20 minutes about what our vision for our tattoo was and if we had inspirational photos. We found one of the silhouette and pose we wanted incorporated with the fact we wanted both of our tattoos, when combined side by side, look like a complete flower pose with a partner in Korean Fan Dance (buchae chum). Endry sketched our vision in probably another 20 min and it was exactly what we wanted. Minimalist and yet detailed in the fans and Korean hanbok. Between me and my friend it took overall 2.5 hours (1.5 hour for my friend who went first and 1 hour for me). I was very happy with how our tattoos resulted with the amount of detail and precision. I would be happy to come back to get another tattoo here again! Thank you for a memorable artwork!

Absolutely top notch. Dope environment, and their artists are not just talented but also great with their clients. Steve worked on my tat and did an excellent job, but on top of that was so genuinely excited to work on it and happy to brainstorm specifics with me. Plus this was easily the quickest healing tattoo I've gotten yet - my last one was a bit overworked so to see Steve's finesse was particularly refreshing. Anyway, the price tag is a smidge higher than I'm used to, but it's worth every penny. This place is the real deal.

He was really nice and friendly, I had a great time while getting the tats done. Most importantly he just killed it! It was beautifully done and I’m absolute happy about it. He is definitely the go-to guy in Hollywood if you’re looking for American tradition/pop art stuff. I think I’ll visit if I’m ever in town again!

Reached out to Honorable about doing a cover up. They reached out to me extremely fast scheduled me an appointment and took my deposit. I had my appointment today with artist I believe was named Song 136 he was a visiting artist from South Korea his photos of his previous tattoos were amazing and knew he was perfect for the job. Shop was super clean everyone was nice even let my wife in to wait while I got my tattoo and price was very reasonable for what I got. Will for sure be going back to Honorable Society for my future tattoos.

Awesome experience. Super easy to book and get a consult. Explained what I wanted - - and I sent over some samples beforehand. My artist, Pony, was prepared by the time I arrived. He had looked at my sketches, and although I had I wanted a larger image, he explained to me why he thought I should bring the size down a little. His explanation made sense, so I trusted his judgment and went with his recommendation - - and let me say - - I'M SO GLAD I LISTENED TO HIM!!! My tattoo is exactly how I pictured it in my mind. Pony is a true artist - and a perfectionist. He wouldn't pick up the needle until I was 100% sure of the size and placement. I'm a bit of a perfectionist myself and he took his time sketching my tattoo and placing it on my arm three different times until I was happy with the EXACT position. He never seemed frustrated by me asking to move it around until it was exactly where I wanted. Big thumbs up to Pony for his artistry and his professionalism. Additionally, Honorable Society has a chill vibe and they make you feel super comfortable during your time with them. Highly recommend!

They are super responsive over the phone/text. I called, and within 2 minutes I’d gotten a text with a real person to set up my appointment on the same day. Unfortunately, their tattoo artist that was going to do my tattoo had to leave unexpectedly but they got me a same day appointment at their other location. You Venmo them a deposit to book your spot, and then pay the rest in cash. It was my first tattoo so I was really nervous, but the guy who did my tattoo was very calming and talked me through it. My tattoo came out exactly how I wanted, and it was super quick and very professional. Would definitely recommend going here for a tattoo!!

Tattoos came out awesome by Malvi! I've had her create art for me before and as usual she never disappoints. However the rest of the shop wasn't the best. Another customer came in around the same time as me, got their first tattoo and left. To my understanding they weren't disrespectful at all but disappointed that they'd be missing out on workouts due to the healing process. After they left a few of the staff were cracking jokes and making fun of the patron. I should've said something at the time but it seemed out of my place to step but I wouldn't get any work from another artist there besides Malvi.

It's hard to imagine a better experience/process. They reply by email in a matter of minutes, booking was easy. I had an appointment with Tommy for my first tattoo with a drawing already done, and he was perfect to explain what needed to be adapted for a tattoo, position, size... I got my first tattoo with Sun and he's so welcoming and soft spoken. He always checks if you're in pain. I got my second tattoo with him as well and this one was a tiny, very precise tattoo and I really was blown away that he did it JUST like the image I gave him. Bummed out that he'll be leaving soon but definitely will consider him when he comes back. Overall, they're very organized and respond fairly quickly when you request an appoint on their website. And on top of that they automatically add the appointment to your calendar which is super helpful.

The person who helped me with making my appointment was incredibly responsive and respectful and answered all of my questions and concerns. They even helped me to stay within my budget restrictions and gave me advice on that. My artist Michael Kortez was an incredible person and artist all around. He was very honest with me about my tattoo idea and told me it might not turn out how I wanted. Based on his advice I decided to switch to a different tattoo idea and I could not be happier with the decision to switch. We went from simple cuff lines to a black hole (which is already way sicker of a concept). So him being flexible with my new idea on the spot instead of just telling me that I shouldn’t get the original one was very refreshing and appreciated. We had EXCELLENT conversations before, during, and after the tattoo session. He is such a cool guy and really makes you feel at home in the shop. The other artist who I spoke with during my session was also super cool. Just all around great people in this shop. Now for the art. This black hole is BEAUTIFUL. Its turned out perfectly how I imagined it. The shading and linework are in the fine-line style and is done so well and cleanly. I didn’t look at the tattoo while it was being done to save the surprise, and when he finally showed it to me I was in awe of how well done it was. And doing a black hole (an object that by definition is devoid of light or visual boundaries) is a tough ask. But I love, love, love this tattoo. And I will 100000% be coming back to honorable society very soon. Definitely go get your tattoos here! And ask for michael!

I almost gave this establishment 3stars. My initial interactions were via email only. I was charged $25 for a virtual consult, not with any artists, not even with a person in the same state! It was more like talking to a salesman. The shop knew nothing of the $25 that should have come off my fee, and the artist only received one image with no details from the consult. This left me feeling apprehensive about wanting to proceed. BUT, the folks, the actual real people at the shop were great. Pony was the artist assigned to my project, and after taking some time to understand what I explained to the salesman, he was able to draw up an image I was happy with, and he is a brilliant, patient and kind artist. I left there feeling happy and bumped them up a star for this review. Do not waste your time with the consult, it has absolutely no value. Go straight to the artists, you’ll be happier.

Really good process. You fill in the form on their site, and then you can either book a date right away or, do what I did and book a $25 virtual consult. The $25 is then either returned to you or applied to your tattoo cost. The chat is completely worth it to get aligned on your idea. I worked with artist Tommy who did a phenomenal job. Our session had time built in for him to concept at the start, with enough time to review and see if I was happy with it etc. It's a gorgeous shop, great setting etc. Nice people. Definitely double check if your artist can accept Venmo. Not every artist has Venmo/Paypal so might be easier to just come armed with cash. The shop does not take credit or debit cards. One thing that might be nice to have for customers is water/beverages - even if for purchase.

I'm from DC, visited SoCal for vacation, and didn't have an intent to get a tattoo while I was out. Back in my 20s I had made an abstract concept myself while in school and got it tattooed, and one of my goals for my next tattoo was to have an artist put their on interpretation into it. I went in with a rough idea of what I wanted to do, and the main concept of wanting an actual artist to put their own touch on my rough idea. I got matched with Josh. When I told him, I could see his energy level rise and he became visibly excited about getting a chance to have some creative freedom on a tat. Anyway, that energy carried it's way throughout the whole process and when I saw what he worked up I was ecstatic to get the tat done. Josh is a true artist, a good representation of what THSTP has to offer, and if I ever need another tattoo done I might fly out to LA just to have him do it. The picture doesn't even do the level of detail he put into this justice. He made it look like brushstrokes down to the point where it looks like it was actually painted on. People have been complimenting me on the tattoo every time they see it. Thank you Josh! For those wondering - the concept regards my own personal battles with vicious circles when pursuing the wealth that is good health.

10/10 would recommend. I was in LA for vacation and knew I wanted to get a tattoo while out there. I went to google to look at local shops and found The Honorable Society which has a perfect rating. I went to their website and looked at some of the work and knew this is where I was gonna go. I filled out the online form hoping they had availability for my last day and they did! The form was easy to fill out and I was emailed back fairly quick about my appointment and what design I wanted. I was paired with Tyler and he was great! This was my second tattoo and was a far better experience than my first. Tyler was very cool and understanding when I came in with a slightly different design than what I initially wanted. He immediately got to drawing and was ready not too long after with the design I wanted. We figured out sizing and he put the stencil on. After looking at it I realized it was a bit bigger than I wanted and he had no issues changing it. He was easy to talk to and I felt like I was very in control of what I wanted and how it looked, which wasn’t the case with my first. I had no problem with cost seeing as I had a great experience and got exactly what I wanted. Tyler was great with the line work and I’m in love with my tattoo. My only complaint is that this shop is in LA and I live on the east coast making it so much harder to get back. TLDR; GET YOUR TATTOO HERE!

Omg, I TOTALLY LOVE my new tattoo! My Grandpa passed away 1 month+1 week ago. My dream for retirement is to buy an RV and travel the states in my RV. Go to every beach, lake, river, etc in every state. Whenever my Mom would tell my Grandpa about my retirement dream, he would say he wanted to go too. I wanted to get a tattoo with an RV on a beach, with the sun and palm trees in his honor, but I didn't have a design in mind. Driving there, I was worried thinking : What if I don't like what they've designed? How can I say it politely? But as soon as I got there and my artist showed me the design, I exclaimed "Oh my God, YES!" I'm very bad with names but I'll find it out and edit this post. Also, I can't post a pic of my tattoo just yet because I have to keep the waterproof film for 4 days but I'll also come back and post it. My artist was really good and patient (I had to use the bathroom once and was also getting really bad Restless Leg Syndrome).

This was my first visit with The Honorable Society and it was aces from beginning to end. I reached out initially via email to get a price quote and give a general idea of what I was looking for. The parlor's responses were timely, kind, and informative. I was able to easily book a consult and schedule an appointment (you can VenMo your deposit to hold your time!) for the next week. When I was at the parlor for both my consult and appointment, everything was clean and welcoming. I felt comfortable knowing that while I was waiting, my artist was getting his station cleaned and set up following the end of the appointment prior to mine. And once my appointment began, I was the most relaxed and comfortable I've ever been while having my tattoo done. I can't say enough good things about the artist who did my tattoo: Josh Leon. He was extremely nice and open from start to finish. He took all my rambling about what I was looking for with ease and he perfectly adjusted and adapted the design from my mind to turn it into something I didn't want to be without. He took the time to explain what he was doing for certain things (and while this wasn't my first tattoo, it was the first time where I really felt like I was learning something new about the process) and answer my occasional questions. He constantly made sure I was comfortable since my arm was stretched out for an extended period of time and made great conversation when he was able. Once he was finished, he made sure I was all set and good to go before sending me on my way. All in all, this was a great experience. I will definitely be coming back for more.

Received sak yant tattoos on both inner forearms from the Honorable Society’s artist Monty Siam. The design is exactly what I had in mind (we communicated via e-mail prior to the appointment) and Monty’s tattoo art and technique are excellent. I experienced little-to-no discomfort over the six-hour process. Monty is interesting and personable and I really enjoyed spending the time with him. The cost of the work was fair and about what I expected to pay. After-care instructions are clear and easy to follow. Healing has been fast. So far (8 days after the session), I love the result. Monty has a long waiting list but it’s worth the wait to obtain his services.

My experience at THS was nothing short of stellar! Ended up visiting three times, once to inquire (receptionist was super helpful, outgoing, and friendly) Back for my consultation with Miguel, my artist. Consultation was short and sweet, seemed to be very competent but I was still nervous going in for the session. Miguel had taken everything I said during the consultation into account and created a beautiful concept drawing and easily accommodated the one change I asked him to make. The session was about 3 hours and went very well. Miguel made me feel very at ease the whole time, and I enjoyed chatting with him while he worked. Of course none of that matters without a final result, and I couldn’t be happier! I had a message in a bottle on my left forearm. My piece is so detailed, the shading makes it looks so realistic, and it’s just what I had conceptualized it to be! I also saw several other tattoos from other artists and I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with any of them! After this experience, I can’t imagine getting a tattoo anywhere else!

I got my first ever tattoo here, a realistic monochromatic ship on the inside of my left forearm. The design/decoration of the shop is aesthetically interesting, and the environment feels comfortable. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and friendly. I got my first tattoo here a few weeks ago and my experience was wonderful! The vibe of the whole place is so unique and fun, and everyone in the shop was so helpful and kind. The shop is also extremely clean, felt and looked like no other tattoo shop I have ever seen! I got my tattoo done with Emily and she was AMAZING. Any nerves I had going into it were gone the second I started working with her on the font for my roman numerals tattoo. She was very helpful with placement adjustments to get the perfect look! The staff was really nice and the space has a cool antique vibe. I worked with Miguel who did an AMAZING job with my tattoo. The whole process was really comfortable, which meant a lot since it was my first legit tattoo. I had one done through sick n poke before, and this was a lot less painful and obviously a lot quicker. It's healing really well. For those of you wondering about the price, it's a $100 deposit and they charge by the hour. My tattoo took about 2 hours, but the time flew by because the space was generally pretty entertaining. There are random things all over the walls to look at and talk about, and the artists themselves had really cool stories to tell if you only ask. 10/10, will definately go again. It's a tad on the expensive side, but I trust these folks to do a great job and to make sure everything heals well.

Kickass experience!!! I went in for my very first tattoo with a concept that was crucial to be done well (as it was a family members signature). I was paired up with Sam based on my design being fine lines and he was super welcoming, professional and made the experience an awesome one. The vibe of the shop, the music playing & Sam's very relaxed yet professional and down-to-earth personality made it an awesome experience. Sam took the time to make sure I could ask ANY questions I had, he worked with me on the size to make sure it was just what I wanted (and not just the first option he presented), which was REALLY important. I felt ZERO pressure to go with the first sizing options he presented to me and after a couple rounds we nailed exactly what I was looking for. I would highly recommend THS Tattoo Parlor and Sam is your guy for a kickass tattoo. Highly recommend!

I will begin by saying that my tattoo (by Nabi) looks really good, which is why I’m giving a three star review. However, almost everything else about the experience was bad. When we arrived we weren’t greeted, as there is no receptionist, just the artists with appointments. Fine, nbd. It’s awkward but whatever. I really had to use the bathroom so I went straight there. No toilet paper. I stepped back out and told them and they handed me a roll of paper towels. Not ideal. But I’m not fussy so I went and used the bathroom. No soap. No soap in the bathroom at a tattoo shop. There was no soap. In the Covid world. No. Soap. I found an empty bottle of antibacterial soap on the floor that someone had clearly once filled with water but even that was now too low to pump out. So I put more water in and washed my hands as best as I could. (I’m choosing to believe the artists had some other way of washing their hands because they smoked several cigarettes during the time I was there and I never saw them use the soapless bathroom but I literally can’t think about that.) Back to the tattoo. I was getting a word spelled phonetically in the international phonetic alphabet so there are some letters that are English but some are very specific symbols and accents that represent different sound changes. IPA is VERY specific. I had sent over pictures of the word, pictures of inspiration for the font (as well as the feeling I was hoping to capture), and a linguistics blog for references for the symbols. Two things because clear immediately- one, that the artist hadn’t spent one second looking over anything I’d sent in before our appointment and two, there was a language barrier, which isn’t a problem in an of itself, but it was almost impossible to communicate what was needed for the design because there was not a translator or a receptionist or anyone who could assist us. It took two hours to get the design right, which I was charged for ($250 for a two inch, one word tattoo), because I had to take a lot of time explaining things in broken English and we had to re-do it several times because my friend and I kept finding mistakes. For example, that a lower case “i” needs to be shorter than a lower case “L” and that an accent doesn’t touch the letters but hovers above it but when you don’t speak the same language and can’t explain any of the context of what she was looking at because it wasn’t even English or a spoken language, what else can you do? The shop knew *all of this* when I booked my appointment and they assigned me this artist so I’m not sure what they were expecting to happen. I was so uncomfortable the *entire time* and terrified because this was my first tattoo in a visible location and it was a huge decision for me to even get it and even as I sat down to get the thing I wasn’t sure it was going to look like how I wanted and honestly, it’s not exactly what I wanted but it on me, I accept it, and I’ve decided to love it. I regret not walking out when there was no soap. I would also like to say that I’ve been to a handful of shops and I really don’t think you can call yourself a Lounge when your only seating is a single dilapidated couch which is stained and discolored brown from so many people’s heads resting on the back. It’s an EXTREMELY small shop- no partitions, from what I could tell no private rooms, and like I said, it wasn’t in any way a welcoming environment to make me want to go hang out in the “lounge” like you see in a lot of shops. It also just didn’t feel clean. Maybe they could try soap. Again, the tattoo looks good, the lines are really light and clean but I will tell everyone I know who is seeking a tattoo to go literally anywhere else.

I love my tattoos first and foremost. Woni was great, professional, and attentive. Even with the language barrier he made sure everything was exactly what I wanted and where I wanted it. Shop had a very relaxed vibe and unique flare. My only issue was that they only accept cash so I had to use the ATM machine they had on site and the pricing was a little more than I anticipated. ***disclaimer: this review is in no way meant to bash the artist. I really love my tattoo, this is more based around customer service and not the tattoo itself. My artist was very pleasant and is extremely talented. Based off from my experience I'm giving THS 3 stars and this is because my tattoo appointment was supposed to be at 12 and when I got there, there was no one around to open the shop which went on for a little over an hour before someone actually showed up. In addition to that, the artist that I was assigned (Denovo) was a whole hour and a half late which was a huge inconvenience for me considering I traveled 2 hours just to be there. It definitely was not professional and was a bad first impression as a customer. I understand that things happen but as an artist you should plan ahead of time if you feel transportation will be an issue. On top of that, I was told that my entire session (which was originally 5 hours long) was supposed to be between $400-500. I was charged an additional $100 and the session only took 3 hours so I definitely feel like the artists here make up prices as they go. Considering I had to wait as long as I did and the session didn't start until around 2:30 (almost 3 hours after the original appointment) I was not happy about that. Overall I think Denovo did a great job on my tattoo but I think customer service needs improvement and there should be better communication between the artists and the person scheduling your appointment because I was told one thing and payed a completely different price. This is not his fault, more so the receptionists fault for pricing me prematurely. Definitely explore your options before settling on this place though because there's tons of other shops that I feel are better coordinated. And if you're not confident that the artist you were given is up for the job, DO NOT hesitate to ask for another one. A tattoo is something that will be on you forever so make sure you're comfortable with the person you were assigned.

Such a great experience here. My sister and I walked in one evening hoping to get a couple of small tattoos, our first ones ever. Endry was about to leave for the night but stayed just to give us our tattoos (and it was his birthday!). He was so patient and got our designs exactly the way we wanted them. My wife and I were in town for our honeymoon. As anybody would, we inquired about getting tattoos done. The shop worked with us and our artist, Josh, met with us the following day. Josh was great; he was gentile with the tattoo process and he did a fantastic job with both of our tattoos. Josh went and made available time for me, so I could get an additional tattoo (a shark), too. Again, a wonderful job and a great artist. Had the honor of Emily tattooing my 2nd tattoo on my ankle while I was visiting SoCAL. Contacted Emily directly via email first, then she directed me to call into the parlor to make an appointment once I found out she is available during my trip. A deposit was needed at time of booking the appointment/signing forms. I came into the parlor, and Emily showed me the first draft, we made some adjustments then discussed size and placement. I personally love to hear the artist's opinion since they are more familiar and professional on art/body contour. She gave me some good points on size/placement and off we go! I had some friends who came along and she let one of them at a time in to watch the whole process! Since it was a small tattoo, it was finished under 2 hours but I was in awe at the tiny details. She provided a magical transparent bandage which was waterproof and breathable that I can leave on for 3-4 days (and show it off!) so the aftercare was low maintenance, which was perfect because I was worried about wandering around public space during my trip. Had very simple aftercare instructions at that point, mainly stay out of sun/water. It's been about a week now and it's healing beautifully. Thank you Emily!!!! The parlor also has friendly employees and was very clean! Parking was fairly easy to find, plenty in the residential area down the street.

It was to be my first tattoo and I was a little nervous, but mostly excited. Pony was the artist selected to design my tattoo. He was professional and very kind. He explained to my newbie tattoo self his recommeded tattoo size and positioning on my body. He took his time designing the artwork and came back with a masterpiece! He is truly a talented artist! My tattoo took almost 4 hours to complete and Pony was very considerate of my comfort throughout the experience. He was also very personable and was able to carry on a good conversation to distract me from my discomfort. I LOVED my finished piece and was so happy I decided to get this special tattoo for my 40th Birthday. Before coming to the shop the only thing I knew was that the Honorable Society Tattoo had an amazing website (this is often the first sign a shop can be trusted). I walked in and was greeted by Jose Sanchez who ended up scheduling me for a tattoo that Friday. I'm not often available to be tattooed by the first person who speaks to me, however, Jose was accommodating and generously shared his portfolio with me. I got a minimalist piece on Friday--matches in a tally mark formation. His lines are clean and straight! I'm in love with my tattoo. Everyone in the shop is friendly and welcoming. The unique decor gives the shop its own personality! The owner Marco is lovely as well. I have intentions of speaking more with him once he responds to my e-mail! I would most definitely recommend this shop. Parking is metered outside! They have a strict policy about walking through the shop which is good (means they are clean). All of the artists are nothing less than professional! Looking forward to going back again soon.

I came in from out of town and had some work done by guest artist, ChaCha. I love this shop and get some work done here when I'm in LA. The shop is super friendly, clean and professional. The artists do wonder and unique work. Definitely recommend to anyone in the LA area

I was visiting my friends in LA when I thought I should add a piece to my collections. Among the best tattoo places in LA, this place offered me an impromptu session since I had to head home soon. I emailed them the tattoo I wanted and immediately they got me an awesome artist. This RAD artist is John Erdinc!!!! First of all this guy offered to come earlier than what their shop usually open after I told them I had to drive up north that same day. That is a major thumbs up for customer service!! I waited for a few minutes while John was setting up, I was immediately amazed by the shop's aesthetics. Y'all should come check it out. While I was getting tatted, John and I listened to some awesome rock tunes and had a great conversation! After the session John will tell you the all the instructions for post-care. He will also text you the next couple days to get some updates about your tattoo and when you finally remove the tegaderm patch. The tattoo came out well!! I will definitely hit up John Erdinc when I visit LA again. Lastly, even with how great this tattoo came out (SIZE, DETAILS, PRECISION, ALSO COMES IN WITH AN AWESOME ARTIST), they worked with my budget. I had an awesome experience in this place!!

I went in for a consult about a week ago and set my appointment for 12:30 earlier today. When I went in my sketch wasn't done, or even started and tbh I was pretty pissed about it because that took nearly an hour. Fortunately the art/tattooing experience completely made up for it. Despite my piece being pretty large, running all the way down my forearm, I did not experience any itching or discomfort during healing at all thanks to the wrap he applied. Seriously no discomfort. The tattoo is great, exactly how I wanted it and expected from his portfolio on Instagram. The session itself was very cool, this is my 7th tattoo so I'm used to the process, but I know that the atmosphere is great even for beginners - you can have a chat with the guys working at the studio and the time will fly whilst you're getting your tattoo done. Josh was the talented artist that worked on my Roman numeral tattoo on my lower neck/upper back. He was very professional and I couldn't be happier with the result. I was initially worried the lines would come out too thick, but he took his time to ensure they were very clean and sharp. Very reasonable prices too. So the only complaint I have would be I believe I was wayyy over charged. Which could be a COVID thing, I paid 250 for a small butterfly/semicolon. We started the ink at 12:45 and finished at 2:02. And I was under the impression the tattoo rate was 100/hour and I only had work for an hour and 17 minutes, so that being said the rate was 200+ and hour. Again that was the only issue. The work was phenomenal and meaningfully and the artist was super friendly!

Few days ago it was my second time to do the tattoo at THS. Atmosphere, artists, service and final products are just amazing. 1st time I was doing a cover up with previous arrangement and exchange of ideas over email and now was my own idea and a walk-in. Among the few artists available that day Josh said he is comfortable with the design picture, took the idea and made a work of art out of it. As I was the last customer that night we stayed last until midnight to finish it and avoid a second sitting. Everyone needs to go see Eric Alvino for all your tattoo needs. A friend of mine recommended Eric after she got her tattoo and I am forever grateful to her. I have now gotten four tattoos from Eric and they are spot on and perfect. My first tattoo was a general idea I had that I told Eric about and he managed to get it on paper and then on my body perfect. It was exactly how I imagined it. I most recently went to Eric for a tattoo to honor my mother who recently passed away. I sent him over 6 emails of my "ideas" and honestly, I wouldn't have understand what I wanted and somehow when I walked in he had sketches on paper that were exactly what I was envisioning. My tattoos are vibrant, heal perfectly (when following Eric's post tat care directions) and exactly what I have always wanted. Eric is very gentle with the needle which is so huge. I have gotten a 5 hour rib piece, 4 hour underarm piece and a 4 hour calf piece and he makes it easy to sit. We all know tattoos are painful but when someone is as gentle as Eric with the needle it makes it that much less painful. Eric is honest, easy to talk to and a true artist. I recommend him to everyone, anytime I can. I will never trust another person to tattoo me again after going to Eric. Honorable Society is a really great space with lots of energy. It's fun to get tattooed while watching movies, chatting with the other tattoo artists or clients. Everyone is really personable and engaging. The facility is always clean and once you walk through the doors you know you are in good hands. Check out Honorable Society and get tattooed by Eric Alvino. You will not regret it.
