Carolyn was amazing!!! She came to our hotel, and informed us of the henna process since it was our first time. Once she started she was funny and personable. Carolyn left us with three amazing henna tattoos done in the comfort of our room with a great price. It doesn’t get any better than that!!!

This was the coolest henna I've ever had! Carolyn is super talented! I showed her a few design ideas and my henna turned out absolutely stunning. Carolyn was super chilled and accommodating. I visited the shop the day before my flight out and we spent an hour and a half together on a late Friday night doing henna! The shop is also super cute and conveniently located in Waikiki. Prices are also super reasonable. Absolutely love the experience and I would not go anywhere else!

Not only is Carolyn the chillest person ever, she is also a legit artist (I am a fan). I would highly recommend decorating your skin with jagua or henna as an alternative to a man-pedi any day. The place is comfy, easy to find, with a nice musubi joint nearby for munchies while her work dries. I'd definitely recommend her to all my friends.

Carolyn was the best. Her work is absolutely amazing. She also completed it very quickly. She was also very helpful in telling me how to take care of the tattoo as well as telling me what to expect. We had great conversation while she worked on my tattoo. Love love my pineapple. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I always get this Jagua temporary tattoo before my big swims. The owner was very efficient and skilled. She was amazing. She looked at the picture and just drew it on my arm. NOTE: if you get the Jagua you MUST follow her instructions. Wait until it dries and gets flakey, then it will come off and look faded (like it didn’t work) but then the next day it is there like magic! See pictures.

She free-hands no matter the size and complexity of the piece, and takes into account everything from your bone structure to body movement. Carolyn was a super kind, very creative and such a nice person! I chose her place because it had really good reviews. I walked in her place half an hour before she closes and told me that she is fully booked for the day. So I told her it’s fine, I’ll probably just go to another place since it was my last day in Oahu. She then decided to squeeze me in between two other customers and I was so glad she did! She was helpful when I couldn’t decide and gave ideas on how to combine different motives into one. I absolutely loved my hennas! She also knows a lot about the Jagua she is using and offered me to always ask her about the ingredients used in a different place, if I would decide to get another henna somewhere else! Can 100% recommend her and the prices are fair too!

Carolyn gave me my first Jagua tattoo *NOT BLACK HENNA* I came in with a photo of what I wanted and Carolyn free handed the entire piece the exact size and location that I wanted! We had fun conversation the entire time she was working on my piece as well. Pricing was extremely reasonable I paid only $30 for my piece which had pretty intricate details! (See the photo I uploaded) Was going to be charged $40 at the Henna Shop at Dukes lane for something far smaller and simplistic. Highly recommend carolyn and her work to anyone you have GOT to visit her to get a henna tattoo shes the best! 🌺🤙🏼❤❤

Wonderful lady, good prices! Will make this place a stop on future visits! I was total last minute thing, she fit 2 Tattoos in anyways on a Sunday! She was busy too, had group of 6 or so come in after us, All freehand work, 1 girls started fading at a week the others still bold after 2. As I expected from past experience with their skin types, that's why they say it stays 1-2 weeks, it can depend on your personal skin type and body chemistry. Great fun. Great memories! Ask if she has her bottle cap rings for sale yet, she was working on some designs , they looked awesome!But not ready yet!

I'm a picky person when it comes to henna, so when it was time for my vacation to Hawaii I only wanted the best. I looked through many webpages and photographs of the various henna artists that Oahu had to offer and Carolyn is definitely the best. I could tell from the photos that she is an artist by the various styles and requests from customers that she takes. Everything she does is freehand and it's amazing to see what she can come up with. I was not very specific with her. I asked her to do something on my right arm and make it look tattoo style with some dangly bits. She used jagua for the tattoo look and was able to give me the perfect design! All of her henna is made by herself using safe and natural ingredients. She is appointment only and since she's such an amazing artist, she is quite booked but was very flexible with working with my busy vacation schedule. Her cute little studio is located in the 2nd floor of a business complex and signs point you right to her door. If you don't have an appointment and you show up, she may not be there or is busy with other clients, so make sure to book ahead! If you're an animal lover like me, she has delightful turtles that she spoils in her studio that you can watch while you're getting your henna done, or just chat with Carolyn. She's an amazing soul and I'm glad that I went with her!

Honestly, i'm insanely glad we went to Honolulu Henna rather than that Rainbow place. The artist here knows what she's doing, she understands the henna material she's using, and she is just the most down to earth artist i've ever met. This place is not your typical touristy henna stand. She has a passion in her art, and it shows fourth. If you're visiting Honolulu or Waikiki, and want a Henna Tattoo, this is where to go- no other shop (even in the continental US) compares.

I went there with my sis and her job was amazing!!! She helped me create beautiful original designs and drew them with reasonable price!!!! Also she was super friendly so even if you are from other countries, you don't have any problems😊 (we are from japan🇯🇵) We had a good time and that made our trip awesome. I highly recommend this place to everybody and we will definitely come back <3 Make sure that you make an appointment/ask her if she is free before you go:) High technique, reasonable price, very friendly artist, it became a very nice Jaguar tattoo. Japanese customers are also welcome, so we recommend that you make a reservation before going.
