Ever since I met Serenity, I have not even considered another tattoo artist. Her work is AMAZING and she is the friendliest tattoo artist I’ve met. Her art is always stunning and her style is unique to her, and I adore that! I keep picking some really mean spots to get tatted like my stomach and my knees, but Serenity always makes it a great experience for me and is so gentle. She always thinks of ways to make her clients more comfortable- gift bags, a TV with streaming services, lots of art everywhere to look at, and super friendly chats. I have 6 tattoos from Serenity and I will keep coming back as long as she is tattooing!!!!

I’ve been getting tattooed by Serenity Bliss here for close to 8 months now and I love it! The environment is sterile, calm, and comfortable. I had a terrible tattoo experience three years ago which lead me to needing a HUGE cover up on my rib cage. I was scared to ever get a tattoo again, but Serenity helps make the environment feel safe and she’s a wonderful person to be around. Now she is the only person I’ll let tattoo me and she’s doing my sleeve too! Never have I trusted an artist more. This woman is able to freehand and create magnificent art!

I went to Serenity to start my sleeve and she has made this one of the most amazing experiences ever. I give her a lot of creative freedom and she’s really blown me away with her skills and ability to see a bigger picture with each new addition to the sleeve. We’re not done yet but I definitely will continue to be tattooed by her even when we finish this project. Also Libby and Rea are excellent piercers and have made me and my friends feel so safe and comfortable throughout all of our piercings and jewelry changes. Everyone I’ve met at this studio value cleanliness, honestly, and kindness and I couldn’t ask for a better shop to go to. They are all too good to me and I’ll never go see anyone else for tattoos or piercings.

My daughter wanted her septum pierced on her 16th birthday. I had been to Gypsy Rose before for a tattoo with Serenity. The guys checking us in were so welcoming and it’s definitely not your normal tattoo shop atmosphere because everyone was soooo nice!! I chose Rae because that’s my daughters best friends name and she loves rainbows. Rae was very gentle with my daughter and talked her through every step of the way. After it was done, As we were checking out, I was bent over looking at the jewelry case and I thought my daughter was bending over to look too and she wavered and then she fainted!! Rae came around so fast and helped me catch her. Rae sat on the floor of the studio with us for about 20min while she came too. She got her water, tissues and a trash can, which she ended up needing. Rae was absolutely amazing and I can’t thank her enough for her gentle nature and she knew exactly what to do for her! We were beyond bless with an Angel like Rae!!

Recently went with my friend and she got her tongue pierced. Wonderful experience, loved the energy there and everyone was so nice. The piercer, who has been piercing for 7 years, did such a good job and was very professional. My friend loves her piercing and is in very minimal pain from the piercing, barely has swelling. The placement is also perfect, I will 100% be coming back for my tongue piercing and any other piercings. Also, went over aftercare etc...very professional very helpful. 💜💜

I know this review is late since I got my tattoo in November but everyone I met at Gypsy Rose was nice and helpful. My tattoo artist was MissPixie. She made me feel comfortable. She even deleted some flowers from the drawing without it being an issue for her. I know she worked hard on the drawing and I didn't want to make her feel bad but she said it wasn't a problem. Absolutely love my tattoo! Would definitely go back.

I've gotten multiple piercings here and they've all healed great and were placed wonderfully as well. I've had no issues getting pierced here and have loved every experience I've had. The piercers are knowledgeable, friendly, and they provide thorough after care and can answer any questions you may have. Definitely recommend 💖

I made a 3 hour drive to see their new piercer Mars and told him he could pierce whatever he wanted, piercer's choice. I'm already heavily pierced and you eventually run out of ideas. He came up with a piercing I'd never heard of before and it looks awesome. This place is clean and well put-together with a great alternative aesthetic, and you'll get quality work, quality jewelry, and friendly staff. It was 100% worth the drive.

I came when I first turned 18 in December for a nose piercing & bottom belly piercing. The lady who did my piercing was amazing and nice. Today I came in for my first tattoo which was a sternum tattoo the lady helping me made an amazing design. She was so nice also….10/10 recommend

I came in for a nostril piercing. I had one 14 years ago and had to remove it for a job. I was nervous and excited all at the same time. Missie was absolutely AMAZING! She was quick, walked me thru the whole thing and I was in and out of there in 10 minutes! I loved the experience and I will definitely be back there when I finally work up enough courage to get my first tattoo! It was clean, the staff was incredibly friendly and I felt very safe.

My tattoo artist was nice but my heart is not 100% symmetrical and if I can tell I bet others can tell aswell. Also neck and above is starting at 100$ even tho I only got 1 music note behind my ear and there store minimum is 80$ so spent 180 +20 tip. Too much for only being there for 15- 20 minutes and not leaving 100% happy. Will not be returning.

Got 2 smaller walk in tattoos done by Jason. I came in with only an idea for one, and Jason was able to draw up a design. Super appreciative that he took the time to do that even if he didn’t need to with a walk in. All the other staff were amazing as well. Definitely plan on going back in the future!

I was looking to extend my tattoo. My last artist in another studio completely ignored me so I asked around and one of Pixie s client recommended Gypsy Rose Studio to me. I looked up the Instagram of each of their artists to see if one of them was popping out, and the AMAZING line work of Serenity blew my mind so I immediately drove there to see the shop and book with her. The place was so clean (damn its SOOooo clean), chill, and such a good vibe was coming from it. All the people working were welcoming and nice and I never fell stressed or nervous. Serenity s tattoo area even got a TV with streaming service, and video console and art and little objects to look at. I had few ideas in mind without really having anything clear planned so I gave Serenity few ideas and she made something pretty out of it.. I'm still struggling a bit with my social anxiety, but she is so nice to talk to I didn't mind the chit chat 🤣 She also never was rushing or pushing about anything and made sure the design was ok at every single step and made me look at it multiples times. She also has a numbing agent if needed. (I don't know if I liked it, but my red, irritated skin definitely was happy about that) and can use both Saniderm or the regular plastic wrap. We just finished the second and last session and I am very happy of the result. I am so in a rush to have it healed so I can show it off... If you want your first tattoo, but scared of the pain, or the process. Go there.

I absolutely LOVE this place! I’ve gotten my nose and tongue pierced here and plan I’m getting more from here! They are very clean and professional! Also I have gotten tattoos from Serenity and they are ALWAYS amazing and turn out great!!! So does exactly what you want, line work is amazing, and her designs are super cute and creative!! She’s super professional, very clean, great at communicating, and super sweet!! She makes you feel very comfortable with her cozy little set up as well!! I definitely plan on going back to her and hopefully we can get my sleeve started!! I 110% recommend this place!

I have gotten 3 tattoos at this location - all by Pixie! She is literally THE BEST!! The studio is always in TIP TOP shape, absolutely clean, the staff is friendly AF, the vibe is IMMACULATE. If you are in Houston, and need a tattoo, you HAVE to come to this studio. My bff did her nose piercing there too, and she said it was such an easy experience! Families were welcome, kids were coming in with parents for ear piercings allllll dayyyy!! Another thing I LOVE about Pixie, is her advocacy of Body Positivity in her art! Took my daughter to get her ear lobes pierced, and she was a bit nervous so I decided to get my second ear lobe piercings before her so she would be more comfortable. my first experience with this place was amazing and I will only be recommending this shop for the rest of my life. As soon as I walked in the door it was welcoming and safe, everyone that has greeted me at the counter is so nice. I got a tattoo from Serenity back in May of this year. She was super nice, understanding of what tattoo i wanted, and she had a light hand while tattooing and she is very good with fine-line and details. Serenity always double checked the placement and shading choices of my tattoo before doing them. I loved my tattoo so much I went back to add to it last night and it was just awesome to talk to her and have her work tattooed on my arm! I have also gotten a couples piercing from this place. i got a tongue piercing by Livi, and nostril piercing by Missie. they were both very professional and talked me through what was going to happen before doing the piercing. I came as a walk-in and I got my tattoo consultation done by Serenity. She did the forearm tattoo just the way I wanted it to add to my single wrist tattoo. Took my daughter for a Helix piercing. Walked in and we were immediately helped. I think this is the cleanest tattoo/ piercing shop I have ever been to. The woman working at the front desk was incredibly sweet as well as the owner. My daughter was pierced by Missie and she was great! My kid felt a little woozie so they gave her water and a pixie stick to help her. I would suggest this shop to anyone looking for a piercing. Will use them again in the future.

Got there and was greeted by my piercer who was coming to the studio same time as me. Filled out paperwork and maybe 5 minutes later I was brought back. Missie did such a great job! I absolutely love this place! I had gotten a botched tattoo back in November in my hometown so I decided to drive 4 hours to Houston and try out Gypsy Rose Studio. I had saw that all the reviews were positive and their work was amazing , I don’t regret my decision at all. Pixie redid my tattoo and made it look amazing. she added the perfect touches to it, from the shading, flowers, color.. etc. I was so happy with my piece that i went back to her just a couple weeks later for a back piece and a little finger tattoo. This is a beautiful shop! I love the asthetic! I usually go to another shop but decided to stop here because it was on my way home. I came in to get a new stud for my nostril piercing. I purchased the stud and left because no one was available to help switch it out. Later I realized that the flat back was a 16g and too big for my hole. I wish that was noticed and discussed when picking out the jewelry. I currently wear a 20g hoop so im not sure why anyone would think that would work. I went back in to see if I could get a smaller back but I was told 16g is all they sell. I was told the only thing i could do is stretch my hole. No thanks. I'm use to having extra care in picking out jewelry, switching it out, after care, ect. I wasn't treated with the same level of customer service I was use to. 3 stars because there is potential for this being a great shop. That being said i would not return. There are a lot of good experiences from others here so I'm sure mine was just maybe lack of training or something.

I had a piercing and a tattoo done on a relatively busy night. Despite the influx of people, the staff are super kind and the ladies did amazing jobs. Pixie did my tattoo and she was the sweetest and most gentle artist I’ve ever worked with! I plan to come back to get more from her soon. I don’t think I will ever use a male artist or piercer again when I can go to Gypsy Rose and feel completely comfortable.

I got one by Pixie on Wednesday, loved her and her professionalism and her work, got a piercing by Marquesa (sorry I might have spelled her name wrong) and she was also super great and very helpful and sweet during the process. Then I went back and got another tattoo three days later by Serenity who is, hands down, truly amazing. I’m currently booked to start an arm piece with her later this month. Love this place, everyone was knowledgeable and very nice throughout both of my experiences. I recommend Gypsy Rose 10/10!!

We did the “Russian roulette” in the gum-ball machine and got the holding hands. The team was so kind and personable and they seem like they are all such good friends! Had a great experience here!!! Before my first visit I had never known about this shop or its location. I came in to get my tongue pierced by Rush. I'll be honest I was very nervous about getting a tongue piercing, always wanted one but I kept putting it off year after year just bc I've heard through other people how many mistakes can be made. Despite the anxiety Rush was very thorough and informative about the piercing process, the healing and the aftercare. When it came time to do the deed the piercing was almost painless, and looked great! Symmetry was on point! I waited a few weeks after healing before posting this review because I never review a piercing until after its had adequate time to heal. Now that the healing process is done and I've become comfortable with it I can say that this place was without a doubt the best experience at a piercing shop I've ever had. If you wanna get some new metal in your body ask for Rush she's an apprentice learning the fundamentals and is always looking for new clients, I had the honor of being the first client of hers to get a tongue piercing and the placement and process was flawless. This is without a doubt my new go to shop for any future piercings or tats. Thank you if you read the entire review!!! I’m so glad I came in today! I had a piercing that rejected 3xs already and I gave up because after doing some research, the piercers I went to were using the wrong bar. I called around different shops and couldn’t find anyone who actually had the right one that wouldn’t reject again. After talking with Missie, not only did she have the rod I needed but she was able to quickly pierce it for me. I love her entire vibe and the other staff there. I feel better about this piercing and have a list of others I’m definitely coming back to her to get once this one heals. She has a repeat customer for sure🙌

Very friendly staff and the cleanliness of the establishment was up to appropriate standards as well. Everyone was wearing a mask and gloves. Went in to get my septum pierced early in the day. Although the first two times didn't go too well, we were able to get it pierced on the third try. The piercer was very apologetic, but stuff happens and I wasn't too worried about it. I love it and would definitely recommend this place to anybody else looking for a piercing.

Very polite and clean! I just went in to get my nostrils done and their selection of studs was nice even for something as simple as initial jewelry. They even carried titanium which is perfect for severe allergies. Placement is great. It was my first piercing in the shop but not my first visit; their stretching is relatively smooth as well (ears, nose, ect.) and bringing in your own pieces is allowed, which I appreciate. Though it's worth just buying from their stock too. Piercers are experienced. Will be visiting again, hopefully soon. 👌🗿

Let me start by saying the shop is very cozy and I felt immediately comfortable and relaxed. I love that they have private suites, it's awesome! These ladies are so professional, but fun too! They made me feel completely at ease and tried to distract me from the pain. The shop is spotless and very sanitary! I got my Medusa pierced tonight as well as both nipples re-pierced and they made me as comfortable as possible and even let me recline for the nipples, which most piercers want you upright but Gypsy's apprentice (I'm HORRIBLE with names) did a fantastic job and they look beautiful and are perfectly straight and they're barely sore at all! My Medusa doesn't hurt at all, Gypsy pierced it and she knew my lips were too full for the jewelry we had picked and that she needed a longer post for them so the gem didn't pop off if it swelled up. It's nice to have someone with the forethought to think about your body type and swelling which some piercers don't do and you end up having to go back and have them change the jewelry out a few days later. I'll definitely be back for more piercings and tattoos in the near future and would recommend to anyone! I'm super happy with this shop!!!

I went here to get my ear pierced for the first time. It is a tattoo place and typical in some ways, flash on the walls, but it is much cleaner than ones I have seen in the past. It smelled like antiseptic/alcohol (not a bad thing) Angel did an excellent job. It was so good I took my daughter there, as she had a bad experience at Clairs (in a Massachusetts) and got an infection. After going here, weeks later she is fine. I noticed most people there were getting piercings, but if I ever get a tattoo, I am confident this studio is clean and professional. The bonus is they take credit cards. I hope they continue this after Covid.

They usually offer free touch-ups on work done and the artists are easily reached before or after for help or questions.

I have always wanted to get a few piercings but have always talked myself out of it. The new piercer Rush is awesome and talked to me about all different kinds and what I may want. Rush helped me pick what would be right for me and helped me through the process. A couple of the artist (May and the owner Gypsy) have done a few tattoos on me and did a phenomenal job. Update: Owner did refund me the piercing fee. Was very nice about the issue and made it right. I am so upset. I was looking for someone to pierce my 4 month olds ears. I didn’t want to go to the mall just because the needle is so much sharper and wanted her to be in less pain. I was initially told $50, and when I came in, Cat told me it was $90 and she was wrong. She even remembered telling me $50. So I was already annoyed. Well, I also asked her how much experience she has had with infants and she said 50+. Great! The ENTIRE time she was shaking, saying the baby wouldn’t stop moving (OBVIOUSLY). Couldn’t get the ball screwed onto the earring. Just absolutely TORTURE if you ask me. I wish I had never taken my baby there and feel so guilty. Don’t ever get piercings here unless you will sit completely still & double check on pricings before you make a trip here. I will never be back.

AMAZING studio all in all. I went in on Friday (03/01/19) and was greeted by two warm smiling faces. I had the pleasure of speaking with May and Melanie. I let May know that I wanted a cover up and have had something in mind. 2 days later (Sunday) I went in for my actual tattoo appointment. May had drawn up a beautiful rendition of what I brought in. Something to call my own. May made sure that I was 100% in love with it. She was very personable yet very profession. Her art work is amazing. I had been to a few other tattoo artist to get a consult on getting my old tattoo covered up, but their personalities didn’t mesh well with me. May is a very sweet, fun and all around positive person to be around while getting a tattoo. Melanie was also such an amazing help. I had previously gotten my industrial done, 2 years ago and at a different shop. When I went in on Friday to ask about the tattoo, I spoke with Melanie as well and explained I had had the piercing for 2 years and the issue that had been going on with it (still hadn’t healed and still very tender). She was also very informative and even suggested one of their implant grade surgical steel bars. I’ve since changed the bar I had to the one I bought from Melanie and my ear is finally healing and not as sensitive!!! After two years!!!! There’s no question as to whether i will be returning or not. As far as my tattoo and piercing needs, I found home!

Took our 7 year old to get ear piercings. The staff was polite, professional and most importantly our daughter has piercings that are symmetrical and placed well. The price is high but for something like a piercing, I didn’t mind paying for a pleasant experience. We had to buy the titanium earrings. The simple stud earrings alone cost us $75 which was one of the cheapest options. This is in addition to the cost of the piercing. Total was around $140.
