Derek was amazing at fixing up my flower that I started with another artist and wasn't feeling after the initial shading. He made it amazing and I love it. Already received multiple compliments on it this morning at work. Cannot wait to show it off more. Super grateful for his work and will definitely come back. Nice clean place to go as well. Derek did an absolutely amazing job on a realistic black and grey snake for me Sunday. He said this wasn’t his preferred tattooing style but it turned out awesome. My sister and I got matching tattoos to commemorate the passing of our Mother. DJ and Chuck worked together to ensure that not only was it the same tattoo, but that the style was the same as well. While there are small differences, those were by our choice, and DJ and Chuck did awesome through it all. They allowed us to check in on each other and even though we were in separate rooms we were all talking and experiencing it together. The studio was clean, everyone in there checked in on us. Made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. For a sizeable shoulder cap, the time was really short. Nice clean lines, perfect shading. I could not have asked for any better experience than what we had today. Thank you DJ, Chuck, Billy and team for all you did today!!!

Decided I wanted a small tattoo today and found this shop after googling for tattoo shops near me. I called to see if they take same day walk-ins and after asking what I was looking for, told me to come right now in. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and professional, and Derek, the tattoo artist, was friendly and able to do my tattoo well and very quickly. The shop was clean and spacious. Would definitely go again and recommend to others.

This place was so kind and professional. I was getting a memorial tattoo for my grandmother that I drew myself. The tattoo artist I had worked quick, efficiently, and painlessly. I had started off getting a sleeve with another tattoo artist. The artist tried to cancel, and was late every session. This caused me to seek out a new tattoo artist. This is when I found Envy Skin Gallery, Billy. They are absolutely professional, in every sense from the moment I called until the moment I left. Billy educated me on my tattoo and what had previously been done. What had been done was outlining and only a little bit of color. My boyfriend and I came in for a set of dinosaur tattoos to commemorate the Lost Lands music festival we attended that weekend. We got our favorite dinosaurs in the other’s favorite color. I happened to be wearing the jersey I got at the festival, with purple and blue accents. The guest artist, Matthew, was amazing and actually matched the colors to the jersey! Since my boyfriend and I got those jerseys to match, that small detail made the tattoos all the better. Matthew was also kind enough to touch up the first tattoo I had on my wrist, which was wonky ever since I got it 10 years ago. It was a simple line work fix and took about 5 minutes. The shop was immaculate and well maintained. The other artists working that day were super chill and seemed to get a kick out of my weird. Our tattoos are still healing, but I can’t wait to post them to social media, with the artist and shop tagged, of course!

I gave Jamie pictures of what I wanted and he put it together perfectly. I got to the shop filled out paperwork which was simple and easy then we got started. I’ve come to Envy for multiple tattoos, I think they’re one of the best tattoo shops in Columbus. My most recent tattoo was done by Matt and I love it. It’s a small piece but is very meaningful, and he really respected that. He spent so much time getting the font and spacing perfect, printed multiple stencils until the size was just right, and was meticulous at placing it to make sure it was absolutely perfect. I was so happy to have an artist that really cared and saw how important this artwork was for me. Plus his line work was fantastic, the tattoo is flawless.

The work done there was great. The artist was cool. BUT the girl at the desk was a class A B…..! NEVER will I go there again and I will literally spend my free time telling everyone I meet not to go there. She was rude, entitled, mean, snobby, and acted like she was doing us a favor. She was impatient and absolutely unprofessional. Chic, you are lucky to get business, be thankful. Listen chic, you aren’t the only tattoo shop in town, you’re not the best, your not special. All you have to offer is some convenience of not traveling into town. Your artists are great. No issues there, it’s the chic at the desk. She sucks. Plain and simple. The establishment was clean. No chairs, no assistance, no explanation of protocols, no way to know what needs to be done. Absolutely useless desk chic. Useless. With that kind of desk service I and everyone I meet will make sure we steer clear of this establishment. Oh yeah, go alone. They don’t tell you, but go alone. No one is allowed in there while your getting a tattoo. And I mean IN THE BUILDING AT ALL. They have no chairs outside, no anything. And above all, no respect for their customers. Steer clear. Find a better place to go.

If your looking for an awesome shop to get a tattoo, you have to check this place out. Perfect place for your first tattoo or adding another to your collection. It’s clean, relaxing, and a fun environment to hang out in. Communication is really good and I never felt like my questions were never unanswered. I worked with DJ and he worked for many hours creating the perfect vision for my tattoo. It turned out better then I ever imagined. They are upfront about pricing and will give you honest options on what your version of the perfect tattoo is, with the budget your working with. Scheduling is easy and they are able to work with your schedule without issues. They are booked out usually a month or so in advance, so it’s best to schedule early. As you shop around and check out tattoo shops in your area, know that some are difficult to get ahold of. They often times will require you to email the artist directly and figure out pricing/schedules. Doesn’t really make sense because they are usually busy. Some artists won’t even get back to you, if your trying to contact them. Big waste of time and it’s a hassle. Envy Skin Gallery is the way everyone should expect and experience getting a tattoo. I arrived a bit nervous for my first tattoo ever. They were amazing from the consultation through the actual tattoo. Walking in and being greeted immediately was reassuring. The paperwork didn't take long, and once completed I was taken back right away. Derek was my artist and when he showed me my design I was blown away. It was amazing. He made sure I loved it tweaking the design slightly based on my thoughts. Being in there all day was a breeze as the conversation was entertaining and never felt forced. Even in quiet parts it was entertaining to hear the other artists interacting and singing along to the music playing. The owner even remembered my sister and talked to us about a conversation we had over a month earlier. Derek was amazing and the tattoo turned out better than I could imagine. I can't wait to go back and finish up the tattoo and would strongly recommend Derek. I've seen other posts about the price but the atmosphere, and talent makes it well worth it. Highly recommend!

It definitely has a lot of imperfections (in my opinion) - unfinished lines etc, but to be fair my tattoo was pretty detailed and only line work. From my previous experience and compared to other tattoo shops I’ve been to, Envy seems to be priced higher and I personally don’t feel like it reflects the quality of the work very well. Again, this is purely my experience and I’ve seen some great color tattoos from them. Unfortunately I probably wouldn’t go back due to price/quality.

From working on the design I wanted to the actual tattoo and even explaining the after care, he was thorough and went over everything prior to doing anything. He was responsive to my text after the session. He actually seemed excited about the tattoo which made me feel like he cares about his work. All the small details are spot on and his line work is super sweet! I’m almost reluctant to say, Matt is hands down the best artist I’ve ever worked with! I know he’s going to get even busier! I recently had work done on my chest that was not only not what I wanted but was absolutely terrible. As I went to several different tattoo places trying to find someone willing to take on this project and make it somewhat decent with my expectations at this point was very low, I was referred to Derek Oliver. As I was already skeptical about going to yet another new person, I called right away and the customer service right from the first phone call was great. She answers all my questions, she was kind and very efficient. Throughout the process from beginning to the actual day of my appointment, they were in contact frequently and very thorough. I went in for matching tattoos with my friend. DJ was our artist and did an awesome job at bringing our idea into life. He was very light-handed and ensured he had correct placement of the design for us in relation to where it was going on our body. Everything from drawing to the tattooing itself went very quick. The shop itself is very clean and had a great layout that felt very comfortable and peaceful. The shop also followed COVID-19 mandates to a T and we both felt very comfortable going in there. Of course we weren’t allowed in there at the same time, but that only made us feel more comfortable that they were so serious about following the current health mandates.

Youngblood was amazing to work with and created something beautiful for me! I had a semi difficult cover up on my wrist that just had to go. I gave her some direction but told her my skin was her canvas so she took that and ran. The art was spectacular and exactly what I wanted, it just took my breath away. i loved my experience at envy. everyone was super nice. my tattoo artist was derek and he walked me through everything and was extremely kind & gentle. i got two pretty simple tattoos, a heart outline behind my ear and a 3 line rainbow on my bicep. the heart turned out perfect but he did say i might need to get it touched up in the next month because it is in color and in a difficult spot. i noticed the bottom line of my rainbow tattoo is a little thicker on one end than it is on the other so i’m thinking of getting the whole thing touched up to make the line thickness match, which i have no problem with. overall a great experience and definitely recommend.

With them knowing it was my first tattoo, they were very understanding and made my worries go away. It smelled very good in the shop and smelled very clean. I showed my artist, Derek, the picture of what I wanted and he made a stencil exactly like what I wanted. He took the time to place it perfectly where I wanted and didn’t just say “eh it looks okay”, if he didn’t think it was in the right spot, he re did where the stencil was placed. Went to Derek for 20 year anniversary wrist tattoos. He was wonderful and we had a blast. The place is IMMACULATE and all of the artists are funny, nice and welcoming. Would highly recommend!
