The best tattoo i have so far (I have 36) plus Patrick Flynn covered a pretty big ugly skull with a huge black spot and its totally gone. He was super light handed. Its healing nicely. I was given adequate breaks. Plus the numbing sprays he uses works!!!!! I had a 6 hour session and only the first hour hurt. Soon as the skin broke and he sprayed it was like a slightly dull vibrating pain. Very clean shop, great environment. I plan to cover my entire torso via Rising Sparrow

I cannot stress enough how amazing my experience was. This was my first tattoo and I was extremely nervous. The moment I walked through the doors I was immediately greeted and given their full attention. They walked me through the entire process and the shop to reduce my nerves and made the entire process completely stress free. so professional and so patient. I spent a little while changing locations until I was pleased and he did not rush me or get impatient. Very efficient and really seemed to know what he was doing. He was hilarious and had a super calming personality. The entire shop just has a good feel to it. I highly recommend coming here, I will not go anywhere else after this visit.

My fiancé and I went to get tattoos and loved the outcome! Taking care of your tattoo afterwards by yourself is huge for properly healing and not getting infections. Any questions I had or help I needed they were there to answer and provide what I needed. My tattoo healed properly without any issues. I have known the owner for 13 years and his has worked hard to get his business up and running and provide quality work and professional skill. Just left from getting my nipples pierced! I liked the shop a lot. It has an open, light, and professional feel. They seem to have a nice variety of talent within their crew and I enjoyed being able to see all the artists’ work all over the walls. Patrick Flynn created my half-sleeve from a list of items that, to anyone but myself, would seem random and entirely unrelated to one another- a martini with three olives in a high-ball glass, a red door, a raven, a lollipop, dogwoods and poppies. Most artists wouldn't touch that with a fifty-foot pole, but Patrick is neither too arrogant nor too self-important to ignore a challenge. From start to finish, Patrick was the consummate professional. He responded to my initial inquiry for a tattoo through his website within 48 hours. I had a consultation appointment within a week where he was attentive, engaged, and most importantly, demonstrably conscientious and personally invested in my tattoo, which is an homage to my late mother. I'd never sat for more than an hour for a tattoo and my first sitting with Patrick was 8 hours and it was an absolute pleasure. He's a light-handed artist with a charming and delightfully witty chairside manner, so those 8 hours flew by. His shop is spotless and has a fun, comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to relax. After another 6-hour sitting filled with clever banter, I wound up with a stunning tattoo that’s beyond what my imagination ever envisaged. My half-sleeve is sublime. It's is so striking that I'm, literally, stopped by strangers who want a closer look several times a week. I've even had people walk up and stroke my arm because they said it looked like you could feel swirls in the lollipop. Patrick's artwork, inkwork, chairside manner, work ethic, professionalism and dedication to creating beautiful works of art that tell our life stories on our skin are beyond reproach and no one but Patrick Flynn will be tattooing me in the future. I've already got my other arm in mind and I'll be honored to tell people it's a tattoo by Patrick Flynn. Regarding the negative reviews about mask usage- if you disagree with the way an owner is operating their privately owned business, then don't go to there! Being critical and leaving negative reviews when you didn't use their service is a despicable thing to do and says more about the poor quality of your character than the negative review says about the business. Microblading Eyebrow Review- Just to give you an understanding of my previous microblading experience- I got my eyebrows done a year ago with another local microblading artist and I was left super disappointed with slightly green tinted eyebrows that had little to no structure. Fast forward a year later, and Angel gave me a completely new set of brows! These were the kinds of brows I was looking for all along. Not too dark, not too light, just right! She was able to correct all the previous mistakes made by the last artist. I saw Angel’s work online and made an appointment. I cannot recommend her enough, the process took less than an hour and she did an INCREDIBLE job. She gave my eyebrows structure and filled in the areas with no hair and made it look 100% real. Getting my eyebrows done has totally changed the way I look, even down to how it frames my nose and eyes. I don’t have to fill them in at all anymore or worry about if I drew them on evenly. I will continue to refer my friends and family! Thank you Angel, you’ve boosted my self confidence and I will continue to come back to see you for touch ups!

I recieved my forst tattoo from the about 3 years ago. Good workers and nice people. The tattoo I got however? By far the worst one on my body. I've gotten multiple since from Golden Orchid down is SC and it's by far better work. I can sadly say that I will never trust Rising Sparrow to touch me with a needle again. I wish I could get a refund. The 3 starts is thanks to there nice attitudes.

He has a keen eye for detail and an amazing hand for line work. Daniel gave us plenty of information for aftercare and was easily accessible for any questions we had. We are both so overjoyed about our new ink and will definitely return to Daniel for any future tattoo endeavors. I would rate this 2.5 if I could, a solid middle. I got a tattoo from Narnia and she was an absolute angel! Very sweet, efficient, and beautiful work. I love my tattoo and love her work. BUT when I walked in no tattoo artist, worker, or client was wearing a mask. Narnia wore her mask while tattooing me but other tattooist were tattooing clients with no mask. I also noticed she took off her mask as I walked out, meaning they don’t at all enforce the mask rule. If you are worried about covid-19, I would not recommend this shop. If I had known about the mask ordeal I would have not booked an appointment. I recently got a tattoo at Zen ink and everyone was wearing a mask and they took temp and gave you hand sanitizer beforehand. I was disappointed in their covid misconduct.

Came into Asheville for a vacation and popped in for a tattoo after hearing recommendations. Worked with Alex Stairs and the artist is the definition of professional and passionate. The same can be said for the rest of the staff that I came across. I came in with an idea and Alex blended his own style and creativity with what the idea was, my previous work, and what we believed would be the best placement for the best look. This shop will not let you down and at no time felt like a business that did not care about art and was just looking to churn out ink for profit. Came back 3 or 4 days later and was thrilled with the sketch he'd come up with. Got down to business. Took about three hours for this ankh to be completed. All in all he is super chill, very professional, works quickly, is talented as hell, and to be completely honest doesn't charge as much as he should imo. All in all I highly recommend this shop.
