On Sunday I went to go see Mimi and get my tattoo as a tribute of my cousin who passed away back in August. From the moment I walked into her space I felt an instant calmness. The room was full of positive vibes. She is truly amazing. She explained what she was doing and why. Most artists just want to rush and move on to the next. But not Mimi. She cares so much and makes sure your experience is a great one. I highly recommend Mimi. I finally found my forever artist. Can't wait to go back and get another tattoo from her.

I found Cuong online and loved his portfolio of black and gray tattoos. He did an amazing job on my quarter sleeve, which required a lot of detailed work. I've gotten so many compliments on the tattoo. I'm very happy with the results, and am planning to work with him again on a second. Definitely recommend working with him if you get the chance.

After doing a bit of research, I decided to have Cuong do my artwork. He was very easy going and flexible to work with especially since I was coming from western Montgomery county. Cuong completed the entire job in 2 sessions over the course of 3.5 weeks. He was able to add a pop of color that really makes it shine. The tattoo was finished in late August 2022 but I wanted to wait until January of 2023 to write this to see how it held up well after the healing process was done. It looks fantastic. Thank you Cuong & staff for being so accommodating, easy to talk to and helpful. I highly recommend Cuong!

Appointment was great and he was super open minded to helping me finalize the design, he was insanely quick with it too (this whole piece done in 25 min!). I'm very glad I came to Cuong to do my cover-up tattoo. I wanted a specific piece to express the love for my culture, and he went above and beyond to make it look great. He has a lot of attention to detail, and is known for his cover-up's and linework. He's a really nice guy, and is really professional and nice to work with. He was very responsive to text's leading up to appointment, was upfront and honest during the consultation, and during the tattoo session's. All the tattoo artist's in the shop are nice and talented as well. The shop is very clean, and they are welcoming and have good customer service. I would definitely recommend Amour Tattoo!

I have had the pleasure to work with the fantastic team at Amour Tattoo on another amazing arm piece. It has started out as a simple idea and consultation with Coung. Who really worked with me on developing my idea for the piece, while also helping me consider placement for this tattoo and how it would fit overall with any future arm tattoos. After finalizing the idea for my piece, I got to work with the talented artiest Jasmin. Who on short notice was able to bring my idea to life. After two weeks it has healed nicely. Definitely recommend the Amour tattoo team, if you want to work with an artiest who cares about your visions and what a to improve it.

My eye brows seriously needed to be redone. It has been years. They were faded and the shape was uneven and the whole look of them were seriously outdated. Here enters Mimi. She was amazing. She meticulously took her time to make sure I was happy with the way they looked before she started. Throughout the whole proccess she kept checking to make sure I was doing ok and comfortable. She took great care with the numbing cream and making sure I was satisfied with how my eye brows looked. You can tell that she takes great pride in her work. She takes her time to make sure they are perfect. If you need permanent make up done I highly reccomend you coming to her. I'm so glad I did. Now I can throw out all those annoying pencil and powders and just walk out of the house with perfect eyebrows. Thank you so much!!!

I came to Amour tattoo as a walk in. I was greeted by wonderful staff. I had Mimi do my tattoo and it turned out perfect. Came in for a sleeve and couldn't be happier with the results. There's a reason this place is packed. Cuong was my artist and he knows what he's doing down to the smallest details. Great communication about placement, color, after care, and scheduling. Even sends you home with surgical grade bandages after each session. If you need an idea he's got art ready to go. If nothing else check the portfolios. Weekends are pretty busy so schedule during the weekdays if you can.

I went in to get 3 tattoos done and Cuong was absolutely incredible to work with from consult to ink. Friendly, creative, and patient he sat down with me and helped visualise what I wanted for my two smaller ones then knocked it out of the park designing my larger piece. Best tattoo shop in the dmv. I submitted an online request through the website and got a text within hours. Great response time. The shop is very nice and all the staff we're very friendly. After going over the size and type of design I wanted Cuong got everything ready in about 15 minutes. All together it took about an hour and a half. Cuong did an amazing job and it came out awesome! Great experience, I would recommend Amour tattoo to my family and friends no question. I will be back for many more tattoos. Amour tattoo makes getting tattoos easy and fast.

Mimi was my artist. She did an awesome job and was really good about letting me know what she was doing. She made sure I was cool with her decisions and that I didn't want to do something differently. I've only had work done by 3 artists, but she seemed to be far more concerned about the piece looking how I wanted than the others. I will definitely be a repeat customer! I'd post a picture of the tattoo, but I'm Google illiterate and can't figure it out.... just take my word for it, it's great!

I reached out about an idea I wanted to talk through and Cuong reached out and set up a consultation for less than a week later. A week after that I had my tattoo that I'm very happy with. It was my first tattoo so I had plenty of questions via email which he quickly answered. The tattoo itself was also a good experience, it was as painless as you can expect having a needle enter your repeatedly to be. I've had my navel done twice here. Once for re-piercing once it had closed. As well as a few tattoos.Quality in the tattoos and quick and sterile piercings! Update. Just went in for a cover up by Cuong, who did an amazing job. The detail is great and my previous tattoo is completely covered. I came in to get a lion tattooed on my left shoulder and the realism work done by Cong what are some of the best I’ve seen! Very happy with my tattoo and the price! He was able to work with my schedule and had no problem rescheduling me when they work issue came up. They treat military and veterans very well here

My sister, boyfriend, and I were all able to get consultations and tattooed over the span of 2 months. Cuong's schedule was very packed but he was able to see all of us, addressed what visions we had, and brought them to life. Even though he wasn't able to do my boyfriend's, he recommended Myles who did a great job for my bf's first tat, and he was quick! My sister and I wanted tribal tattoos, and Cuong knocked them out of the park. They're both beautiful pieces, and the detail is amazing. He was even able to tie in my sister's to an already existing tat she had. He was also very patient and accommodating as we had to finish mine (much larger than my sister's) in two sessions. The shop is clean and each artist has their own "room". I'd definitely recommend Amour and I will be back for another tattoo!

I got a large piece done by Cuong, and it is absolutely phenomenal work. I will say however, that my original 6 session estimate turned into 10 sessions due to the piece taking longer than expected, having to cut some sessions short, and some overscheduling on the shops end. I'm giving it five stars nevertheless due to how exceptional his work is, because in the end it's all about the tattoo.

I showed him some pictures. When I came for my appointment Cuong made me feel like I was at home. Great work! Coung, no doubt, is very talented. Love the work he did to both my arms with four lines of text and my kids names. Very detailed with the letters being sharp and crisp which is very hard to do and pains taking for the size I wanted. I highly recommend getting your tattoos done here but make sure your schedule is free as he is very busy and you may have to wait quite a bit so be patient. It’s worth the wait and you won’t be disappointed.

After a month of looking for a good place to get some stuff done, my sister and I finally found the perfect one. The place was nice and clean and everyone there was so friendly. I came in as a walk-in with an exact idea in mind and Ethan was able to sketch it out until it was exactly how I wanted it. He finished in great timing and they came out amazing! He has the most clean lines I’ve seen and overall his work is amazing. The work he did for me was simple but he took something with so much meaning to me and made it amazing. He took care to make sure everything was clean and wrapped up too. For the work you get, the prices are reasonable. I’ll definitely be going back to see Ethan next time I need some fresh ink!

I went and got a small tattoo done by Kathy. I got my Virgo symbol the first time I went then went back again to add little details around the symbol like a moon and stars and sparkles. I love the design overall and she was super sweet and tried to be as exact as possible to what I wanted. However, I’m realizing as my tattoo has been healing that there’s some fading As the ink didn’t take well to my skin, and maybe possible scarring but idk it could still just be healing for all I know. Overall, I do like the shop and Kathy so this isn’t to diss the shop or her, just that there are certain things that I’m a little disappointed in. This is my first tattoo and I’m still learning a lot.

All of the ink I've gotten from Nick Dorset is fantastic. He has done 3 moderately large pieces for me since I first discovered him a few years back, and he will put effort into crafting original peices for his clients. It's a professional, welcoming shop that is kept very clean and hygienic. The artists here do quality work which means I'm never afraid to show people my ink - it is always on point. Your artist gives you detailed aftercare instructions (make sure to follow them for best results), and you'll get a free check-up. I recommend this shop to anyone and everyone interested in getting a tattoo. They welcome walk-ins, and are even open on Sundays (which isn't always easy to find). Each artist has a closed space, so the session can be done in privacy if preferred. 10/10 would reccommend.

I had a wonderful experience. I brought a picture of the lung cancer awareness ribbon I wanted tattooed on my lower right leg. I asked Cali (my tat artist) to think of something to make it look more girly. As your can see, he has a great imagination and great talent. I loved the idea of turning the heart in the original photo into a rose and the left side of the ribbon into the rose stem. The thorns are an accurate depiction of this horrible disease that my husband continues to fight. The photo on the left is the picture I brought in, and the photo on the right is the one on my leg, which Cali drew. I've already received tons of compliments. The owners are very nice, the shop is spotless, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tattoo shop to anyone looking for a great tattoo. I enjoyed working with Cali. He asked me several times if I was okay during the process.

I am really happy with my Samurai Girl tattoo. The level of detail and realism is amazing and I was very impressed with Cuong Tcheou skills and professionalism. As a tattoo artist he is very knowledgeable about his craft. He specializes in small details, Japanese art, and realism; elements which he used to make my tattoo. The work took a total of six hours to complete, but it was worth it. Throughout the process Cuong worked very methodically and quickly.

I went in on 2/13 and we scheduled it for the next day. My tat came out great! If you didn’t know there was a tattoo there before you’d have no idea this was a coverup. I deducted 1 star because we didn’t start until 2 hours after my appointment time and I’m a stickler for tardiness. But I’m completely happy about the quality of work and will definitely return for my next one!

Had always wanted one since I was a kid watching that old shows The Adventures of Pete & Pete, and how the younger brother some how managed to get a tattoo of this lady in red named Petunia on his arm. So here I am with my tattoo finally, and was glad to have Mimi do it. She made sure to get the write font to fit the look, she sketched it out first for me, suggested a proper size to fit my arm. Today was my first experience here and it won't be my last. Mimi went above and beyond with her artwork, digging deeper and making it look so much better than the initial picture I sent. She took her time to ask me my personal why for it and was honest about where I initially wanted it placed and I am so glad I listened because it looks phenomenal on my calf and definitely would not have looked so good where I wanted it. She was so patient and she and Irma checked on my multiple times, offering me water and if checking if I needed to eat. I felt like I was among friends. There is follow up to see how it healed in two weeks and I love that it is about the whole process. I will recommend this place to everyone who asks.

The first time I came here was in 2019 when I was about to turn 18, just to set the appointment. Temptation Tattoo rejected me, I came here a little scared, yet I was greeted with an awesome, friendly staff. Ethan helped me figure out what I wanted and it turned out amazing. I've always wanted a tattoo ever since High School and after thorough research around NOVA area, I decided to pick this location. I got my first tattoo in 2018 by Nick of a medium piece of a lion on my forearm, medium size compass and rose tattoos in the spring of 2019, and 3/4 sleeve in the summer of 2019. A huge shoutout to Cuong for a great artwork and most essentially the price of my 3/4 sleeve. He was very considerate and generous with the price knowing that I'm just a student. Hands down, this place is the best tattoo shop in NOVA and I can't find any other places with such professionalism. I'm in love with the 3/4 sleeve tattoo he tatted me. Also shoutout to Ethan for the two great pieces he's done for me in the spring. I highly recommend this place.

So, I really owe Cuong a huge thank you and to be honest I should've written this review in June once the tattoo was complete and healed up. The reason behind the review now is that I am going back to him in the upcoming year to have him do another full sleeve and back piece. You get what you pay for and Cuong is an artist, not just a tattooist. I've had people mistake my arm for compression shirts and gotten more than a fair share of people asking where I got the work done to the point I started handing out his card. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with this work of art he tattooed on my arm. When I first started doing research on a place and artist I told Cuong I wanted a full sleeve biomechanical tattoo, I sent him some reference images and we talked about it over a few weeks. He texted me the day before my appointment and told me to come in and he would draw it on my arm to better match my whole arm and not look like a copy and paste job. Best choice in my opinion. He took his time to follow the muscles on my arm and make sure that the image looked organic and followed my body lines. Once the outline was done he went to work and I can honestly say that after every session I was astounded. He had a vision from outline to finished product that I couldn't even begin to grasp until I saw it as a whole piece. The shading, the line work, the depth. Everything about this tattoo makes me happy, being in his element and watching him work was kind of inspiring. He is passionate about his art and it shows in the details. The way he took 3 reference images I sent him and turned it in to one piece that I still look at every day like "Wow, that is really on there" is amazing to me and I'm grateful for his work. He is respectful and would constantly check in to make sure the pain wasn't unbearable. He was very relaxed during every session and any conversation with him was easy and enjoyable. Everyone at Amour is a pleasure to talk to and be around, I spent some 30 odd hours there under the needle and they made me feel like a friend. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a friendly environment that produces stellar artwork in the form of tattoos.

I visited Amour Tattoo on the 17th of February. Needless to say... He was absolutely phenomenal. He's very friendly, kind, and makes his shop have a great atmosphere. On top of that, you can just tell he's extremely hard working. I got my labret pierced here - I've had several other piercings done in the past. He was by far the most professional piercer that I've had. He did everything so fast and smoothingly that I was in and out of the shop within 10 minutes. On top of that, prices are great. I had to go back to the shop to get a longer bar for my labret because of swelling that I have and he even gave me the bar for free + let me keep the one he had given me originally. My piercing looks great and is perfectly lined up in the center of my bottom lip, it's also not infected and healing really well apart from natural swelling. I'll be going back here for tattoos and for piercings. :)
