Specifically, not only do I look better and appear somewhat younger, but the doctor's work on my upper and lower eyelids has greatly improved my field of vision. Highly recommend I saw Dr. Kotlus for under eye filler and nasolabial folds. I decided to wait a week and I'm happy with the results. I look like a fresher version of myself. There is no absolutely NO bruising, he is very skillfull with the eyes and I could see that he has a great eye for detail. I was on the fence for doing surgery, and Dr. Kotlus does not talk you into anything and is not pushy at all. Dr. Kotlus is... oh my god I can't believe I'm saying this publicly... a miracle worker. After 5 hard years of lots of hard things happening in succession in life (divorce, moving across the country, job changes, losing both parents, losing my cat, and just covid-life in general) as well as genetic predisposition.... I had some seriously heavy bags under my eyes that would NEVER go away - no matter how rested I was, happy I felt, or how much concealer I slapped on. Didn't matter what I did, I looked sad and tired. Some of my friends have addressed the sad/forever tired look with fillers (which you have to get yearly) and another had a lower blepharoplasty (which seemed like a big deal, but OMG the results were incredible) that she swore by... I was open to either and wanted to understand which option might work for me, so I did some research on NYC Dr's who specialize in revitalizing eyes and found Dr. Kotlus. We discussed options and determined a lower blepharoplasty would be a solid long term solution for me. He didn't push any given solution, he just talked through my face structure, options, solution longevity, and outcomes... I decided on a one-time lower blepharoplasty v. getting annual fillers - we did the procedure in mid-February and I am so SO happy. This sounds so vain (I mean come on it IS a vanity procedure, so here we are), but I feel so much better and more like myself - it's a relief to see a happier face with refreshed eyes looking back at me. If you're considering getting some support for your eyes through a procedure - I can't recommend Dr. Kotlus enough. He's fabulous. Good luck in finding what works for you. 💛

Amazing results. I would highly recommend Dr. Kotlus. He did a great job- lower bleph with fat transfer. I had dark circles, hollowing with a slight bag. Now my eyes are smooth and I look refreshed and years younger. Bruising was minimal with no issues. He came highly recommended and now I know why. He is genuine and thoughtful with an office staff that is professional and accommodating. Oh and his anesthesiologist is awesome. He called me the night before to discuss anesthesia on the day of the procedure and check if I had any concerns. All in all a really positive experience.

I was so tired of looking tired. I did a LOT of research before choosing Dr. Kotlus and glad I did. "Spa" places and "clinics" were out - I wanted a licensed doctor who was trained - needles near your eyes aren't for pseudo professionals. Friendly, helpful staff. The appointment was 3mo away due to limited covid hours. Didn't regret it at all! Dr. Kotlus said it was reasonable to expect about a 50% improvement due to my personal situation. Honestly, I think it's more like 95% improvement. I think anything more would look fake. My partner says I look like we met 3yrs ago - and like I got a really good night sleep. So happy - now to call for another appointment for another little fix.

I have known Dr Kotlus for several years but he remains one of the most knowledgeable in his specialty of surgery and cosmetics. His attention to every detail and the time he takes to listen to his patients and to perform the procedures will make you feel like you are his only patient. It was the only time I have had 120% full trust in whatever was done and never questioned! Perhaps just as important, he is honest if you do not need a particular procedure as well...he will never do just to ‘do’. Went for under eye filler (and botox for good measure). 5 stars is not enough for Dr. Brett Kotlus! I am 2 months post op from an upper/lower bleph with fat transfer and my results are incredible. He is a true artist. My only regret was waiting this long to do it. It has taken 15 years off of my appearance. I am super conservative and take such a long time researching the right doctors. These qualities are less often associated with surgeons than with other medical specialities, which makes Dr. Kotlus even more rare. He did my upper blepharoplasties. it was painless, fast, with rapid recovery, and the results are as great as I could have possibly wished for. My experience with Dr. Kotlus was everything I hoped for based on all the research I did prior to choosing him as my doctor for tear trough correction and minor Botox. He was attentive, courteous, professional, and took time to ask me about my profession before we discussed my areas of concern. He went over a detailed treatment plan with various options for me to consider before expertly administering the actual treatment. There was minimal discomfort, and he went over post-care procedures afterwards. He takes a wisely conservative approach to treatment - so far I am very happy with the results, and will wait two weeks before deciding whether to seek any additional correction. I cannot recommend Dr. Kotlus highly enough, and look forward to continuing as a patient of his in the months and years ahead.

I had work done by Dr Kotlus for my under eye bags. They have been bothering me for about 7 years. I was explained that fat accumulation is the cause, so I decided to go with the surgery as I saw that was the best option for me. Dr Kotlus explained all options and never tried to upsell me, which I greatly appreciated. When the day arrived, the procedure was so quick— I was at the facility by 7am and home by 10am the same day! When I awoke I saw immediate results— my eye bags were smoothed out! It literally took years off my tired eyes/ face. But naturally one has to bruise and sustain puffy eyes. The puffiness went down considerably in a couple of days, and as I write this now, 6 days later, the bruising is so minor— a little concealer is needed and that’s it. This may not be the case with everyone — I was actually quite surprised as I expected to be more black and blue, but right now just some yellowish color, more under my right eye. But no one I have come in contact with has mentioned any discoloration, unless I bring it up and point it out. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Kotlus, he is thorough and honest— there were no surprises financially, and the after effects were exactly as he explained. I was told I can even go back to the gym, and it’s not even a full week after the surgery! Many thanks to this wonderful Doctor!!

After reading that Dr Kotlus used 1: cannula technique 2. Ocular facial is his specialty 3. Has a gazillion fantastic reviews I decided to book an appt for under eye filler. I was actually inspired and excited! I felt like I had found the best Dr to address my concerns. His specialty is what sealed the deal for me. And after watching countless medspa videos where they are just jabbing away at your face with a needle... i decided i wanted an expert. The office is clean, warm and inviting. Dr. Kotlus was right on time. Incrediblly warm and friendly bedaide manner. He asked me to hold a mirror and gave me an evaluation of my under eye area. He presented 2 options, surgery would would work 100%, and filler that day might give me 50% of what i wanted to achieve. No pressure or sales push. I felt like I was given great options to work with. His price for under eye surgery was very reasonable and will keep in back pocket to think about in 7-12 months after trying the filler. I received one syringe of Restylane and the effect was amazing. I’m 55 and have good face😊, however the filler literally took 10 yrs off my face with just 15 min. I’m sooo happy and should have done this years ago. Would highly recommend and I will be going back in 19 mos. for a refill.

He assured me that the procedure would be covered by Medicare and we set a date for the surgery. We met prior to surgery and explained everything in detail. On the day of surgery at the surgical center everything was done in a professional manner . I went in to the O R and the next thing I knew I was done. I experience no pain and had minor swelling. Dr. Kotlus was willing to see me within 24 hours, worked with his staff to short-cut the insurance bureaucracy, operated on me several days later, and spared me from the weeks of discomfort it would have taken to be seen and treated by another specialist. My surgery was performed under local anesthesia, and my relief was immediate. Dr. Kotlus's "beside mannerisms" were exemplary, in terms of preparing me for the surgery, talking me through the operation (during which I was fully conscious), and in two post-op visits to monitor my recovery. I have never had a better experience with a medical professional.

I saw Dr. Kotlus for a consultation for my eye bags. Dr. Kotlus seemed very kind and took time to explain what he thought might and might not work for me. He said that I wouldn't achieve a full improvement with injections, but that it would help somewhat. I went ahead that day and received Restalyne injections in the tear trough area. The first few days, my undereyes were a bit swollen which actually smoothed everything out nicely, which I liked. Eventually, the swelling subsided and my bags returned with hardly any improvement, along with a grayish color underneath the skin from the filler. There also appears to be a difference in symmetry between the two sides, although that may have more to do with my anatomy than the technique. So, I will not be getting injections again since they do not work for me, but I in no way fault the doctor.
