Dr Brown and his staff have been awesome from pre-op to post-op (tummy tuck)! He has great bedside manners, which is what you want from your surgeon. My first consultation, he answered all my questions and drew up a surgery plan that was catered to me. Everyone in his office go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. After a lot of research, I went to see Dr. Brown for my first breast augmentation surgery. After I met him I knew right away I wanted to have my surgery done by him. He is attentive, compassionate, beyond nice and caring, and above all, great at what he does. The consultation lasted about 1h30, he took the time to answer all my questions and to really understand the results I wanted. One of the nurses, Angie, is very sweet, amazing and was available 24/7 after surgery which is helpful for someone who is going through this process for the first time. His entire team of women is awesome and make you feel like you are genuinely cared for. I think that for anyone going through elective surgery the key word is trust and if you decide to go with Tampa Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery you will be happy you trusted them. I’m a little over 6 weeks out of surgery and I’m very happy with my results! I will definitely be a patient again in the future.

Dr Brown was absolutely amazing! While there are a lot of skilled surgeons out there, the difference is in his compassion. He genuinely cares about his patients and values meeting their unique needs. Of all the consultations I did, this was the only one that didn’t feel rushed. Rather than lecturing me on the process, Dr Brown asked me questions about my goals, desired results, timelines etc. I had such a long list of questions that I thought I would not get to them all. But he kept asking, “anything else”? I felt the most informed and the most confident after his consultation. Everyone in the office was super friendly and helpful. My nurse (Jessica I think) was so knowledgeable I thought maybe she was a nurse practitioner or something. In my pre-op she went over everything thoroughly and I asked all these silly question about stuff I read online and she patiently (and realistically) answered all of them. I felt fully prepared for surgery day and the folks at the surgery center were just as good. I was impressed that they also spoke so highly of Dr. Brown. My post op care was what I was most impressed with. Most places forget about you after surgery. But that top notch attentive care continued after surgery. I love that I could text whenever I had a question, and someone responded. I had the option to come in just to have the tape changed etc. And Dr Brown again was just so compassionate making sure to not just follow-up on the physical, but the mental too. I was a little sad from all the swelling and he was so kind and patient, reassuring me to give it some time. But the proof is in the pudding as they say. As a truly skilled surgeon my proof is in my perfect results! Due to excellent post op care instructions, I had no complications. You can barely see my incision already and the shape is exactly what I wanted. From start to finish Dr. Brown and his team took exceptional care of me and words cannot say how thankful I am. That’s my way of life.” I venture to say I’m the only one of Doctor Brown’s elated patients who will ever start their 5 star review with a Jerry Seinfeld quote, but here it is! If this quote could reflect as an analogy to anyone, it is without question, Dr Joseph Brown. After having a less than ideal experience with another plastic surgeon nearly a decade ago, I will be the first to say I had my reservations about ever going under for elective surgery again. However over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Dr Brown both personally and professionaly. And I will say, my faith in plastic surgeons and humans alike, is restored in knowing that he is in practice. You will not be sorry. The longer version is my husband and I were referred to TAPS by my breast surgery to discuss reconstruction following bilateral mastectomy. We could not be more grateful for this introduction. The TAPS staff set the tone from the beginning. On the initial visit we felt comfortable, well cared for and left fully informed regarding what was ahead. I wish that I could give Dr. Brown and his team millions of 'stars' for a rating. First, Dr. Brown is trained and certified specifically in this area of medical practice. That is one thing that sets him apart from other practices. Secondly, he will give you natural, results. If you want 'plastic' or over emphasized results, you may feel more comfortable going elsewhere. Third, is the compassion, caring, and welcoming environment that Dr. Brown and his team have created. He sincerely listens to you to hear your concerns, address and answer all of your questions, and to be honest with you about what to expect. Let me first preface this by saying how long I have waited to have this breast augmentation surgery. I had been to 3 doctors for consultations over a span of 10 years and they just didn't feel right. Upon a referral from a friend, I had scheduled the consultation appointment with Dr. Joseph Brown and I'm so glad I did! From the beginning of the appointment until the very end Dr Brown was fully engaged and truly listened AND cared about the look I wanted. I was very small chested and didn't want freakish sized breasts as I am a mother to my young son. Dr. Brown took the time to properly measure me in order to find the perfect size that would fit my body all while looking natural ( the look I wanted). Not to mention, he was the ONLY doctor that provided a breast cancer exam (simuliar to the one us ladies get at the Gynecologist) at the consultation. This is when I knew how thorough he was and is!! Surgery day came and we decided on 365 cc high profile silicone implants. I am now 7 weeks post op and I feel amazing! Dr. Brown did an amazing job! My breasts look so wonderful and natural. Dr. Joseph Brown is the plastic surgeon who performed all phases of my breast reconstruction. He was a critical part of my breast cancer treatment team. My two successful surgeries included a skin-sparing double mastectomy with tissue expander placements and a later surgery to replace the tissue expanders with breast implants. I benefitted from the important choice of Dr. Brown and my breast surgeon to do a skin-sparing mastectomy. The beauty of this procedure is that it is performed when breast reconstruction begins during the same surgery that removes the breast cancer. The team of these two breast surgeons shared the operating table during my first surgery. The results of this surgery and the one that followed were fabulous! The scars are fading away, and my breasts look completely natural. Dr. Brown is a skillful surgeon, who is meticulous and knowledgeable. Dr. Brown is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I was lucky to have found him! I had a pretty large Seroma along my entire incision line 3 weeks post tummy tuck & liposuction surgery.
