Check in with friendly staff was quick. Wait time was reasonable. The PA initiated a medical review in the exam room and Dr. Echevarria came in a few minutes later. After an exam, he explained the recommended procedure, including his background and experience with the procedure. The procedure is scheduled and I am confident that it will be successful with Dr. Echvarria.

Pray God smiles upon you and you have the opportunity to have Dr. Echevarria be your doctor. He was an absolute God-send when my father had intestinal issues and needed surgery. He was extremely thorough with his explanation of what the issue was and the surgery needed to correct it. Our entire family was kept in the loop step by step, and his personal caring for my father's recovery and comfort could not have been greater. We overwhelmingly felt like a member of our family was treating him not just his doctor. This is a surgeon who is not afraid to take on challenging cases -surely because of his many years of experience saving lives. My father and family will be eternally grateful for treating us the way he did when we were faced with such a crisis and distressing circumstance. Tired of all this cov*d doctor speak nonsense? Tired of getting your wheels spun by medical practices only wanting to milk all the medicare bucks they can? Too many tests....too eager for surgery? Then try David F. Echevarria, MD as your general surgeon. Check out his spotless credentials and qualifications.....then hear my take: No nonsense, straight to the point type of doctor. Why sugar coat and beat around the bush? And THIS doc turned down surgery offering that risk didn't outweigh the reward. Refreshing. As truth ALWAYS is! Recommended by my heart specialist....and now me. Seems like all my good docs are in Baycare/St. Joe's!

I am extremely amazed at the professionalism from Dr. Echevarria MD, and his entire VERY FRIENDLY staff including the physiologist, the manager Michelle Stracke, Dietitian Alex Clough who is in constant contact with you before, during and after procedure to make sure you are ok and have everything that you need. Everyone was genuinely interested in me succeeding in my weight loss journey. I just can’t stress enough how satisfied I am and the only regret I have is that I didn’t do this surgery sooner. I was very hesitant to have any other surgeries as I’ve already had two failed back surgeries in the past and suffered a severe hemorrhagic brain bleed two years ago due to many prior treatments/lumbar injections for my back injury before and after the stroke that occurred in 2018. I pushed myself and did the surgery with the support of my wife and also my step daughter who had the same surgery done with Dr. Echevarria. I had the gastric sleeve surgery done November 31, 2020, I weighed 297 just before the two week pre-surgery diet. And now 29 days later on December 29 My weight is 262 lbs for a total of 35 lbs lost in just 29 days, that’s more than a pound a day, and still 45lbs + to go. Javier Diaz.
