Simply the best fruits, vegetables and soups around. Owner takes great pride in only offering great quality, even in off season. They recently prepared two beautiful fruit trays for my daughters birthday party - everyone was raving at the awesome quality and presentation.

Years ago when I first visited Hutchinson Farms store on the Post Road in Scarsdale, I asked the owner if indeed there was a farm where he picked his vegetables and he assured me that there was an actual farm! He pointed to the painting on the wall of his store that showed off a beautiful farm. I thought this might have been the explanation for his high prices but it probably had more to do with the rent he paid as well as his profit margins. I think I asked him again a few years later when I realized that perhaps I had been just a little bit naive! Having said that, I still shop at his fruit and vegetable shop and even though his prices are significantly higher than the supermarkets, there is a huge convenience factor of not having to go to a bigger grocery store. Hutchinson Farms does carry impressive selection of prepared cooked vegetables and soups. Hutchinson Farms is brilliantly situated next door to Eastchester Fish. I’ve often gone into his store to get fresh dill or some other fresh herb that will make my fish a little more delicious! And there’s a metered parking lot behind his store.

Reliably top quality, carefully sourced, and open telling you what is currently best and seasonal. Super helpful staff select for you most items, so you have to be comfortable with that style of service. This "green" glove treatment isn't cheap for sure, but if you are serious about food and are fortunate enough to afford it, I highly recommend them.

Worked for this store in 2001 always a pleasure. Owner took such care in selecting top products and fresh quality. Everything was amazingly clean were they prepared food and it was absolutely delicious. Didn’t care for my co workers to much but the owner was very kind and a professional man. love this store great memories .
