So many awesome finds & such a huge space! I love the quality & wide range of produce (i.e several types of bok choy, some exotic fruits & veggies) and some great deals.I also really love that they have bulk containers of all types of spices - common & uncommon! I definitely will be coming back.

A treasure trove of products for sale or wholesale in a warehouse environment. Latino, asian and american. Huge variety of vegetables, meats and seafood in climate controlled areas. Great price points and a big selection.

All in all, a great place with a large variety of international products. We went in to buy things for our barbecue and it was great, the vegetables are fresh and clean, they have a lot of different juices and snacks that you can buy either individually, or in bulk at a discounted rate. It is quite cheap compared to a lot of other markets I’ve been to around Tampa. For example, a whole box of chickens (would easily feed up to 6 people) was only 20$. Reason for 4* is because the meat variety wasn’t as great as I have expected, they only sold packages steaks and it was hard to choose the right pieces without overpaying for fat or inferior meat. If you’re looking for snacks, drinks, chicken, fruits and vegetables I’d certainly recommend!

Mt friend has been talking about Sawna Farmer's Market forever. One day recently we jumped in the car and headed there. WOW. I was amazed at the huge selection of multicultural foods as well as top quality national brands. It reminded me of a warehouse club without the annual fee. I spent less than $26. I came home with banana peppers, shishito peppers, jalapeños, thai peppers and poblanos (plus the tri-color bell peppers). Two cooking pumpkins made it into my cart along with Chinese cabbage, celery, parsley, basil, cilantro and wonton wraps. And then I saw the huge selection of mushrooms and couldn't resist buying several types. The green onions, leeks, garlic, and shallots were so fresh that I couldn't pass them up. A few potatoes and green beans were the final items I picked. I did buy a plethora of perishable items. Nothing spoiled before I could use it and I cook for two of us. Further proving to me of the freshness of the produce I never truly left the produce area as I hadn't brought a cooler. My next trip I will checkout the meat & seafood department that my friend says is high high quality and reasonably priced. I did look at the prices and was amazed. They also sell frozen foods, beverages, restaurant supplies, dry groceries and dairy. I recommend knowing the prices of things you are purchasing as some of the dry groceries I did see were not as cost effective, or the same price, as other places. The staff is bilngual. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. Although the market was busy, checkout was a breeze. Looking forward to my next shopping spree. Next time I will take pictures of my cart too.

Ideal place to grab fresh fruits and especially fresh vegetables. Spices, sauces, dairy products, rice, bread, seafood, meat, packaging goods etc. are available here. Staff is quite helpful. You can open a business account to better facilitate bulk buying etc. Be sure to wear something warm when going into the freezer section(vegetables, fruits, seafood and meat). Altogether a good experience.

I Loved💕this place, if you enjoy fresh food from many different cultures at discount prices then you will Love this place. Also you have a choice of different foods in the way you purchase them either in bulk or individually. Dried goods, farm fresh produce, butcher quality meats and cheese's, also my favorite seafood. They have very good wholesale prices for meats and vegetables. Some fruits and other products like olive oil x gal. The negative is that there are no butcher cuts, only large chunks of meat, and there is no variety in cold cuts.

Its a really good place to go buy fruits in boxes. I normally go there yearly and they always have good fruits, I love that they have exotic fruits. Recommend it. For my vegan friends, its really good, there alot of fresh vegetables and fruits.

They have a good selection of fruits and vegetables. However, always check the receipt - many times they charge for items you did not buy, and sometimes they charge you extra for items. Not sure if the cashiers are cheating, or if they have been instructed to do so.

Delivered a load here. Quick and friendly people. Unloaded 6 pallets in less than 15 minutes. They start at 6am but they might take u in earlier. Not sure if it's a first come first serve customer, but they sure did me the day.

I love this place! International foods, to go containers like the kind restaurants use, you can come here to buy fruits and vegetables in bulk, and there is always plenty of help for loading your car. (I always tip them a few bucks the gentleman work really hard and are very friendly.)

This place is the best for exotic fruits and vegetables! Wide selection of curries seafoods and meats as well. It's usually pretty busy and you'll definitely need a cart! Parking around back as well as in front. One of my favorite places to go shopping!

Not exactly a store, more like a warehouse. I think it was a warehouse to begin with. The best part of shopping here is the fresh vegetables and fruits. Also, the meats department, both have a wide selection, which includes fish. The rest of the typical imports are spread around. Prices a bit high for some items. Parking is a nightmare on weekends. Absent having a specific ethnic supermarket, this place has a bit of everything under one roof. Kind of a “jack of all trades” master of none. Gave it a 4 star because there is plenty of room for improvement.

I've been shopping at Sanwa since 2007. Mostly I stick to buying produce -- the prices are great. Over the years, of course, the prices have gone up. The owner also has sunk a lot of money back into the place. It's gone from a bare-bones set up to having nice stairs, paved parking, shopping carts, bags (you had to find an empty box to pack up your groceries) and many other amenities. This of course has added to the price of everything. Still, it's well run, the cashiers are friendly and helpful, so are the people who work on the floor. If you ask for something, they'll go and see if they have it. Prices pretty much rise and fall as the overall prices in the country, but most produce is at a discounted price. I don't buy much beyond the produce, so I can't speak to the frozen meats or seafood or other areas. The only complaint I would have is there is a tendency to sell food that is a bit past the prime. I no longer buy mushrooms there. Otherwise I recommend this especially for people who have large families to feed.

Love this place. You can get produces for wholesale price or you can buy single items at retail price. Price are still competitive to other grocery stores. There were some selection for organic produce which was nice. They are always busy and they added more check out lines which really help speed up the process. It's turning more and more into a actual grocery store compared to many years ago when they were mostly doing wholesale. Great place I'd you happen to live nearby. We travel from St. Pete to get here. Takes us an hour drive roughly but it is always worth the trip!!

Today we were looking for Harissa paste, and it looked like they didn’t have any, even after asking and searching with two of the staff. We gave up, but ten minutes later Demond came and found us in the meet cooler and handed us a can of Harissa paste! Love, love, love San Wah!

What you will find are international items from all over the globe, as well as some recognizable USA brands. Amazing fish and shellfish selection AND you will find fish scaled, gutted and packaged conveniently. Such a huge time saver! Prices are Amazeballs, too! Wide array of worldly produce to select. Can buy wholesale or retail. Employees are helpful and friendly. You WILL get every pennies worth shopping here!

A great place to pick up unique fruits and vegetables at great prices. Their meat room is always fully stocked and has everything you could want! They have more varieties of mushrooms then all local grocery stores combined! Huge selection of frozen fish! Lots of Mediterranean and Asian Delicacies. Great place for bulk produce and some dry goods. Nice prices on bulk rice, beans, etc. Seems designed for restaurants, but we buy for our family. 50lb paper bags of potatoes for a great price. Huge bags of salad mix (our kids eat a salad at least once a day) and baby spinach for just a few dollars. We even bought a whole case of egg flats once. Great place for some exotic fruits, as well.

Love shopping here. Great prices on produce. Beats the"big box stores" most of the time. Has some hard to find items like jackfruit in brine. Parking lot can get a little crazy on the weekend. It's best to go early in the morning before 11:00.

This place is better than any meat market or grocery store that you can go to. It's great for people who just have 2 people in the family or whether they have 7, there is a great amount for everyone to choose from whether they want bulk or individual. They have everything that you could ever want in some stores, all in one! Definitely my go to spot for a big party or if I'm just trying to stock for the week. You can't find anything better when you consider price, quality and variety. Their meat selection is equally as good. Don't take my word for it, check it out. It can be pretty crowed at the check out lines so bring your patience.

11/23/2020 Extremely busy, but I was able to grab the beef brisket & cilantro I was after as quickly as I could locate them. Walked right up to an open cashier lane that had no one in line in front of me. The cashier was fast, friendly & very efficient. Walked in & out within 15 minutes in spite of how busy it was. The worst problem here is getting in & back out of the parking lot.

This was only my first visit, but I had a great time! There was produce I haven't seen anywhere else in Tampa. The selection of international items was fascinating and well-priced. The staff was professional and polite. Mostly, I wanted to stay longer -- it's a three-part warehouse that's MUCH bigger than it looks from the street!

This is the best market we have in Tampa Bay for variety and cost. Very good selection of rice, oils, spices, coconut water, etc. They also have a nice selection of Vigo products and the larger containers of Badia spices. The meat is good quality and affordable. The produce is excellent with fruit, vegetables, dates, figs and herbs that you can't find in a regular grocery store. Produce prices are significantly lower than at the grocery store as well (for example, dried figs are $1.40 vs. $3.00 for the same brand.)

This is a large grocery/restaurant warehouse that sells small quantities to the independent family shopper... its clean, the staff are friendly, the foods are fresh...what's not to love. Also, everyone's engaged in social distancing and masks are required. They have a spray the station at the front this store near the carts. They open early early And avoid the virus.

This place is amazingly stocked with all kinds of ethnic food items. I have never before seen such a great assortment of items. They have dry goods, meats and seafoods, and an even more amazing assortment of produce. Wether you want to buy one package, a whole box or a pallet of goods, they can accommodate. Be advised that the dry goods area is not air conditioned, and can a bit warm. But as soon as you go through the plastic separators into the produce and meats areas it is chilled to below 70 degrees. Try this place you won't be disappointed.

If you are into buying fresh fruits and vegetables at low or reasonable price, I highly recommend this place. ONly downside of this place is price fluctuates based on a market price, but it is much better than buying at regular grocery stores. They do also have different variety of international food products at the reasonable price. You can take extra advantage of their weekly sale on a selected items.

This place is amazing, it's the best place for Caribbean, Korean and Spanish products. I found everything I needed for those special dish. It's the best place to buy bulk at a great price also. Please remember to bring a jacket for the produce section, as it a walk-in freezer but it's sooo worth it.

We have been asked by clerks at the register about information an taste of one of our items which makes you feel comfortable there. And they still get you out of there. lol

I had a friend tell me about this place and I just had to go. It had everything I could have ever hoped for. I love cooking with new/exotic ingredients and this place let me do that on a budget. I have never seen such quality in the produce section of any market before. They had so many different varieties of peppers and mushrooms. I also enjoyed the fact they had dragonfruit, lemongrass, gluten free flours, etc. I could have spent all day there. Now the place doesn't look the newest/nicest but once you see the product it doesn't matter.

Great place for vegans and people who have their own special diet. They have a few international foods. You can also buy a lot of food in bulk so it's great if you have a family or a deep freezer. They take food stamps and also sell stuff if you are a vendor. I got a week's worth of groceries for 36 dollars.

Excellent variety of fresh and frozen selections! Variety of fruits, veggies, meats, seafood, and seasonings, rice, eggs, canned items. You really need to check it out! What a unique find, you'll be happy you went in! Picnic pork, lamb, goat, whole piglet, beef, ribs, quail, Turkey, Cornish hens, the even have deli meats and cheeses! Paper and aluminum products, along with a huge variety. Huge variety on the fresh veggies &fruits, and the milk and dairy area when you first walk in. Enjoy!

First time here. Found on accident while going to the flea market. This is a bulk, non-membership required food warehouse. Fair prices but some things overpriced. Nice emoloyees, clean, and everything displayed well.

A large place that sells farmers produce, if you are buying something in bulk, this is the place to go. The pricing is reasonable and cheaper compared to other retail stores. We had been there to buy tomatoes and onions in bulk and they came $2 cheaper.

Vegetables seem to be immortal. They last forever. Overall prices fair, but store doesn't carry everything a regular grocery store does. Fish are all frozen, for example. Worth the trip if you love quality veggies.

Its THE place for produce from all over the world! I go there every 2 weeks. The produce is super fresh. They recently added a middle eastern section with spices etc and even fresh pita bread. Wear a jacket when you walk through the giant walk-in cooler.

Staff was friendly. I can only give three stars as this market markets mainly to smaller food chains and eateries. The average household is not going to use a case of plastic forks. But the small businesses should definitely give the place a visit. There might be done good deals.

A vast selection of meats chicken, beef steaks,roast, pork . Economical buck packages for less money . An array of ethics foods . There is almost nothing you can't find. Meat prices are highly competitive. 100 kinds of Ramen! Go there, wander, get lost. Put something in your mouth hole you've never had before. You can find it at Sanwa.

I like shopping here. The prices are generally cheaper than most Asian grocery stores; but the choices are not as complete/varied. Parking is horrible, especially on Saturday/Sunday [mornings] and/or holidays. Make sure you check ALL your items before you leave the store. There had been more than one occasion when the bagger missed putting an item in my bag. If you shop at Publix, this almost never happens.

I make my own pet food and Sanwa market sells the freshest and most economical meat that I need! Lots of meats to choose from including seafood. They also carry a variety of fruits and vegetables that you can buy in smaller/regular sizes or in bulk. They also carry a variety of beverages, condiments and dairy. However, the best best thing about Sanwa market is the service! The guys at the meat counter, at the registers and the guys outside always offer to help and willingly will load your vehicle. Great foods from all over the world. I buy fresh and dry herbs from this market. Also, I buy the dry beans and peppers for my homemade hot sauces. Over the years, the meat prices have increased. I used be able to buy a slab of pork belly for about $22.00 and the Uncle John's Sausage was cheaper, as well as seafood.

This is the place where you can go and get fresh vegetables in great prices. You can get Indian grocery as well with less expensive compare to any Indian grocery store. May be they can add some more variety on fruits... It’s get open early in the morning and get closed early on weekends.

Sanwa is truly a unique Tampa gem. This specialty grocery store is sure to have those hard to find ingredients for your favorite exotic dishes. Their produce section has a wide variety of fairly priced goods and their 1.99 potted herb plants are the best deal in town. Just make sure you're checking for a healthy plant! Their meat section is incomparable to your favorite corporate grocery store. They feature some local meats as well. Lastly, their bulk offerings of glass bottled sodas is sure to make you double take lol

Bring a sweater! Fresh and cheap produce! I visit every week and haven't been disappointed. Parking is sometimes a challenge. Customer service (cashiers) needs improvement - no need to be rude to your customers that are not proficient in English - which is probably 80% of your customers at any given time. Sanwa is a local gem!! Produce is always fresh with an excellent selection of traditional "grocery store" items as well as more exotic and ethnic cuisines. I can get my apples & my grapes at the same time I get my Buddha's hand & dragon fruit. I know the zucchini is excellent quality, and my baby bok choy is fresh. I can select a wide variety of root vegetables, including purple yam and yuca which are in excellent condition. There's a rainbow assortment of tomatoes as well as peppers... And the pepper heat goes from very mild to ghosts. And I haven't even started on their meat or seafood departments! They have a drool-worthy selection. Their foods are restaurant-quality, because restaurants actually shop here! If I want to buy a little for a family, or I want to stock my freezer I'm in good company. The staff are extremely helpful, and customer are friendly.

if you are looking for a way to save money buying food like you would at BJ's, Costco, or SAM's this is the place to go. They have fresh produce daily, a variety of international products, fresh poultry and meat, and seafood. what I like the most about them is that you do not need a membership card in order to shop. My only concern is that it gets crowded. My advice, shop early morning and avoid weekend.

This is my new favorite place on earth! I'm new in the area and was lucky to have a couple of coworkers recommend Sanwa. I was blown away by the variety of foods sold, both fresh and pantry items. Not only that, but the prices are amazing. I purchased gochujang, miso, and kimchi (among other things) for about half of what I've payed for them at other stores in the past. The produce variety is unreal, and everything was fresh and affordable. I will be a repeat shopper for sure!

We get a majority of what we need here because their produce is inexpensive and usually lasts longer than the produce I get from Publix. Plus bulk beans and tofu and SO CHEAP, we love it! The family has built a reputation for bringing the highest quality ingredients from all over the world to one place in Tampa, and that place is Sanwa. The best place to do business. Unlike their competitor next door I had the most awful experience ever. Associate Henry from G.P.I produce is unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. He denied me a sale just because I ordered 1-2 cases per week. There is no where stating there is a minimum order on purchases. He embraced me infront of other customers and his co-workers denying me to purchase a case of long beans. He says he will not sell it to me any more because I am not buying other products from him. I am not mad just disappointed he had to announce this infront of other people. Not professional at all. At Sanwa you will never be treated this way and will have the best customer experience ever. I recommend Sanwa to any one!

Overall good variety of items to shop for, but some items is extremely overpriced in comparison. Such as off brand can yams $7.19 per can compared to a brand name that cost 4.99.🤔 I'm a price shopper and plug in apps to compare prices on items as I shop. 2.18 is a bit much per can when you buying more than one can. However Sanwa offers case prices also, that saves a little bit of cash.
