This is an always clean supermarket and has a wide variety of groceries and each item is located in its place and is properly advertised. It also has excellent deli and bakery departments, with friendly and helpful staff. The food in the deli is well prepared, presented and very tasty, on the other hand, the bakery has a wide variety of sweets, breads and cakes. This supermarket also has a well-equipped pharmacy and friendly, trained technicians. Something that, in my opinion, should be improved is the automatic check-out which is relatively new. The only time I used it, when the equipment had just been installed, I had to be assisted several times due to technical problems. I have not used it since then. Maybe it works fine now. Something else that I would like to add is that outside, the parking lot is large and has been remodeled and updated with several exclusive spaces for the disabled. It has always been a pleasure for me to shop at this Publix supermarket and pharmacy located in Hillsboro Plaza at the corner of W. Hillsborough Ave. and N. Habana Ave.

This is a great store, always clean, always friendly associates. The only flaw they have is self check out. Never thought Publix would stoop to that level but the dead. Food is always amazing. Love the bakery.

This publix is a bit disorganized. Placed an online order for two subs the other day that were supposed to be ready at 11:45AM. It was 12:00PM and the subs still weren't in the pickup area. Had to wait in line with customer service for them to give me my food. Other than that, I tend to find what I'm looking for. Friendly service like always.

The store itself was fine. Went in for a deli sub..the young lady talked so much she spent 30 min one man's sub. It was a shame most of us in line had only 30 minutes for lunch...she thought this was funny..but like she said if it takes her 30 minutes that's what I takes. She laughed and kept moving at the same pace... SLOW.

My experience would be 5 star if they had fewer self check out lines and more staff assisted lines. Checking out myself or waiting in a LONG staff assisted line does NOT make shopping a pleasure.

Michael in floral is an absolute gem! This is my third time going to him to create a beautiful, one of a kind display and he is always so sweet and happy to help. I brought my own vase this time and he helped me pick all the best flowers for my all pink vision. I will keep coming back to this store for Michael and his skill.

First time visit. November 26 2019, 4 pm. Parking lot is awful. Clientele drive too fast through the tight and narrow parking lot. Entry and exit are not easy with amount of traffic on the roads adjacent to the parking lot. I visited the bakery and the associates there were very friendly. Cashier friendly too. Overall good visit inside. Not so good outside

I love to shop at Publix but they need to do more training for the bag it’s due to lately they have hired new and younger workers to bag groceries and they are packing can goods on the top of fruit products. Some of them are talking with the cashiers and not really paying attention but it is the consumer that has to deal with their smashed up products when they get home. It took my time shopping and now it’s taking more of my time having to call the store reporting what happened and then my time and gas just to go back to the store to have the damaged products replaced. Publix is not thinking about my time or gas being waisted as well as now it’s costing them to replace what was damaged and they are paying someone else to do the exchange and then paying someone to rebag it and now having a customer that is disappointed and dissatisfied that they had to go through all that process if they would have only taken maybe 15 more minutes of employee training and having a satisfied customer experience with out all of the headaches they went through just because someone didn’t bag the groceries correctly from the start. I don’t get any of my time or gas back but would be so grateful if you did it right the first time and keeping me as a satisfied customer. Isn’t it worth the few minutes more of training or do you just make so much money that you don’t care if you keep me happy or not because someone else is going to come back and continue to shop even if I didn’t? I would welcome any management to reach out to me to discuss this or for even just an apology for my wasted money and time. Stay alert as it may save you from going through the same thing I did. This Publix has the Olive Bar! Only select Publix has this! Of course, Publix doesn't disappoint. If you love olives, antipasto, head on to Habana and Hillsborough and get you some! It's great with salmon!

The pharmacy staff is awesome!!! The pharmacist was so kind on the phone. He told me I could pick up my coughing med right away. I received it in less than 5 minutes! What a relief!! I know they can’t do that in every situation, but when the could they did!! This is my new pharmacy!! ❤️❤️

Publix are all fantastic, however this particular one tops all I've been to in my travels! Alexander is a fantastic manager in all aspects of the title but his personal relationships with his employees shines in all of them. If I would like anything they stock it, everyone is friendly and it comes in handy when my wife is looking for flowers for her photography that Josh is there to help! I usually go in around 7am and am so impressed that Alex walks through the entire store daily greeting employees and shoppers by name spreading laughs and humor to everyone! During the pandemic he didn't miss a beat to continue that same personal good feeling. This is clearly clean and happy working environment that makes it a pleasant place to be! Thanks to everyone at this location always impressed 👏

The Head butcher Jorge saved the day. Even though Publix was short staffed and he was helping multiple customers at once, Jorge still to the time to help out. The short black woman in the deli, I wish I knew her name, was fantastic. I ordered a sub and she diced up nearly all the toppings for me. The sandwich tasted the same but it looked more tasty with that presentation. Mouth watering good. She's got some chef like skills, clearly.

I am not from Florida. I came here to buy a vehicle. Because it is Saturday, there are no banks open. I was given the information to come here to get a money order. At first, it declined my card and I was simply floored. I knew the money was there. The young man waiting on me suggested I call my bank. I did and they rectified what they though was fraudulent activity. I returned inside the store where another young man processed my order. Both of them were very pleasant and extremely helpful as well as respectful. The young man who finalized my order, went a step further and offered to walk me to my car with such a large sum of money!! Thank you Cody and Brian for all of your help!!! You two were amazing!!!

The produce and fruits are always fresh and colorful. The staff are very friendly, helpful and courteous. The deli and sandwich lines require patience but that is understandable. I have not seen long lines at check out despite the high volume of customers. Great Job Publix!!

Great place to grocery shop, staff working here has been working here for years, more like a family friendly neighborhood type of environment and they make sure you feel the family energy when you walk in there. They're sure to be in the spirit of celebrate every holiday that comes around which is not a bad thing at all. Offer free sanitizer service for you and your family they have somebody that stands by the door that literally wipes down every carts sanitize, in which is pretty amazing. I'm forever washing my hands every where I go, got to be safe for you and your family, as well as others around you that also has love one.

A nice grocer to visit. Staff was friendly and inviting. We were able to find most of the products we needed. The wine selection is lacking of your looking for some higher quality choices, but I was able to make due with some mid-range quality choices. Beer was will prices and had a good variety of choices for the limited space they had. Overall I would return to this location again.

Clean and well stock location. This store is up to the standard you would expect from a Publix franchise. The store is set back a little in the shopping center with plenty of parking. The road, curbs and parking area are well marked with safety lines and signage for both pickup and in store shopping. They offer parking lot pickup which is labeled curbside but is not by the curb which is to be expected. Although there are many choices in this area to shop, this Publix is hassle free and clean.

Went in late night after a gym workout to get a quick wrap before heading home. Approached the deli and Saul was more than helpful. I’m a patient person and though what I originally wanted was not available. The item on special “ultimate Wrap” is my second favorite item. All in all. It worked out well. Recognize Saul for his hard work and providing exceptional customer service. I frequent this location often. It’s nice to see friendly people here.

I call this the Spanish Publix, By far my favorite Publix in all of Tampa. The store is always clean and well stocked also they will take discounts at the register if you have any issues with items on sale, Typically theres always good baked good available and chicken for football game days just get there early. The staff is very nice and trained pretty good!!!

This store is hit or miss. Sadly on two occasions I found myself abandoning my cart for being out of basic items. Aside from that it's not an overly friendly staff, this store definitely feels like a Walmart grocery or Winn Dixie in terms of service and staffing . While no one's unfriendly, no one leaves an impression you'd expect from Publix, aside from the meat department. They are all superb and next level friendly at this store . My comment in no way is malice toward Publix this location is just a high traffic store with a almost robotic staff that barely makes eye contact with people. So my bias to shop here is based on location alone. If based on service I'd shop a whole food or Winn Dixie if it were within blocks of this store.

I love going to Publix! First off their staff is so friendly and helpful! Store always stocked. Publix brand foods are the best. Hot foods especially the naked spicy wings and the lemon pepper chicken are the greatest! Let's not forget the bakery! The butter cream frosting on their cakes is superb! When I go to another state I always wonder if I can find cake as good as Publix! The only minor drawback for me is I wish the store was bigger with wider aisles. Sometimes I have to use the scooter. But Publix has my loyalty!❤

As always I enjoy the atmosphere in Publix. However for the first time a cashier was horribly rude and had to be told by one of his co-workers to calm down. Which was surprising because the bagger who told him that was a young man young enough to be his grandchild. I just left in good grace, but this older cashier needs a refresher course.

This Publix isn't one of the nicer ones I've been to. I went to use the bathroom and the urinal was out of order, so the toilet had urine all over it and the floor around the toilet did also. I ended up just waiting until I got home to use the restroom. The selection of products also isn't as good most of the stores I've been to. I guess chalk it up to the area this store is in. It's pretty much the hood around this location. The staff was polite and helpful.

I have alway loved this Publix they take customer service to the next level. Their store is clean and they are willing to open new check out line if they become crowded but what I remember most about this store is the time I took my Aunt before she lost her battle to cancer. There was an item she needed but they were out of stock. The manager asked if we would be shopping long we said yes. Then he went to another location picked up the item and was back before we completed our shopping trip. Above and beyond!

I'm from NY where everybody thinks everything is expensive (and many things are), but I went to 2 grocery stores while visiting Tampa, and both were expensive (particularly meats), but this store was worse! Add in that the meat selection was very sparse compared to what I'm used to (no turkey wings/legs, lamb breast, etc), and it didn't seem due to 'pandemic' shortages, that was just their usual selection. Further, regarding prices, yes, food costs have risen due to the 'pandemic', but even with that it was expensive. The cheapest family pack of chicken legs was almost $9; for the same or more weight, better looking & cleaner chicken (i.e., hair/pinfeathers), I'd pay $5-6 in NY, and I live in 1 of the most expensive counties, Nassau! We bought pork chops that had a bone but were thin, 6 chops about 2.5 lbs and about $12 ON SALE! That would've been $7-8 in NY, more weight and/or thicker. 1 lb. of ground turkey (no 3 lb packs like I buy) for $6-7; I get a 3 lb pack for $7.50-8.50 depending on if it's Butterball vs. Shady Brook vs. Perdue! For the few groceries we got, I would've spent $30 less easily at my local ShopRite, and our minimum wage is much higher than FL, meaning employee costs are more, so I can't take that if it were a reason given for higher food costs. Bless y'all Floridians having to pay out of pocket for food!

Alejandro give a big shout out to Tony C, this either Co-Manager or Assistant Manager when beyond to exceed my customer experience today at the Store, when another Assistant told me there was not a product in stock. The Manager takes pride in ensuring everything is in tip top shape. I was at the bakery and everyone asked if I needed anything. So considerate! The Store Manager he has an eye for detail. I drive all the way to Publix from a large office building that takes 10 min to get in and out of the parking garage.. I picked up my online order, get all the way back to work and my "Ham and Turkey sandwich with pepper jack cheese" turns out to be a Turkey sandwich with no cheese! 😭 I did call the store and spoke to Tom, one of the managers and he was so polite and offered to give me a refund or a new sandwich at no cost. Publix customer service is unmatched, so I do appreciate their willingness to care about the small things. I can say that I will be checking my sub before I leave next time around. Thanks Tom for saving the day. 😀

This Publix is about average, meaning the staff are very nice and service is great. They stay pretty well stocked of the usual items and the produce is good quality. One thing to note is that this is a high traffic store. Lots of car traffic and the store is not always packed but far from ever "empty".

I like going to this Publix Supermarket yet small it has a bit of everything. I go there during the week if I forget or run out of something between grocery shopping. They have plenty of handicap carts and the store is very clean. Their produce is always fresh and in season. Their meats are excellent and their fish department is small clean and does not permeate with seafood smell. All employees are very friendly and help out as much as they can. Their sales are awesome and they are well stocked with sale items.

The majority of the times (98%) when I go to buy groceries, everything is either hot, cold, or at the proper temperature, and that is attribute to the people working at your store. After I paid he saw me heading out the door and went out of his way to offer his help with the cart and the groceries on the way to my car. As he led me to the correct aisle, he introduced himself as Alex and I told him my name. We talked all the way to my item and he left to help someone else. Today's visit was fine except for an issue that seems to exist at all Publix stores. The area designed to order subs is constantly under staffed resulting in unnecessary long waits. I would suggest that the entire process be reviewed including space and backup from other employees in the area. The review might also include having somebody on the floor, where customers are waiting, and have a prepared Publix form that covers everything that's necessary to order their sub. This now filled out form can be given to those employees who actually make the sub. If this process is done correctly, it will result on orders being filled quicker and less waiting time.

This Publix is typical of the Publix chain of stores. It was clean, fairly well stocked (except in the fresh meat department; even it was not a holiday weekend, all the ribeye steaks were gone, and the selection of other beef was minimal). The shopping center where this Publix is located also a Dollar Tree, a Beale's Outlet, a hair salon, a chinese restaurant and a bank. There are only 2 entrances and exits into the shopping center and, therefore, the Publix, and this location could have benefited from 2 more exit/entrances. Curiously, there were 2 driveways cuts into the parking lot that blocked by curbs, so someone at some point decided the extra entrances/exits weren't necessary, but they are. I have had little interaction with staff at this location except for the cashiers, so i cannot speak to staff friendliness and helpfulness.

Most Publix stores are very good but, not this one. Staff is rude and uncaring and can not follow instructions in either English or Spanish. To make matters worse, this store is a Mini-Publix, count on this store only having a limited selection of items. Produce and Meat selections are very poor and the Deli is not well managed. Your better off going to Sweet Bay across the street. Edit: I have moved my star rating from 1 to 3 stars. This Pulblix has been remodeled and is now larger and stocks more items. There also seen to be an improvement in the quality of the service.

I like the Tampa (Hillsboro Avenue at Hannah) because of their regard for handicapped customers. Parking is very convenient and electric shopping carts are position at the store entrance fully charged and teady to go. I have never had to search for an electric cart at that location. This Publix is clean and the cashiers/baggers are friendly. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because we have had issues with online ordering through the deli. Twice we pre-ordered a veggie sub to pick up and were charged for a premium sub which costs almost twice as much. Another time we pre-ordered a veggie sub and it came with roast beef on it! All three times we had to drive back to the Publix to have them sort it out, and when they put meat on our veggie sub we had to have them remake it. Now we always check the price tag and open the sub before we leave the area. But it is frustrating because the line is always very long for the subs, which is why we pre-order and then pickup after we shop.

I have ordered pub subs online at this publix on three separate occasions. I always order a chicken tender sub (which is supposed to be hot) and when I arrive at my selected time my sandwich has been cold. Every. Single. Time.
