I have been a patron for many years. One of the best asian markets for prepared foods, fruits and veggies and sheer volume of inventory and variety. I get my sushi ingrediants here including prepackaged and frozen tobiko, pickled ginger, cooked sushi shrimp, krabstick and sashimi grade tuna. They prepare food daily but come early because they sell out by half past noon. I try to get there by half past ten. There is a well stocked medicinal area. The back of the market has a meat and seafood area. Occasionally I can pick up something rare and exciting. Highly recommend.

An excellent old style Chinese Food Store. Because my wife is Chinese we really take advantage of the wonderful selection of fresh vegetables, and their extensive selection of cooking sauces and supplies. they also have a small cooked foods area where you can by fresh roasted pig, wonderful roast duck and stunning homemade roast Port. There is also a hot meals area with great lunch selections. The store has a small meat and fish market, where everything is fresh! Lastly, they stock a generous selection of cooking and kitchen utensils, plates and hardware Just stop by one and you will be back! There is plenty of easy parking!

I absolutely love this market. Much more of a personal experience vs some of the larger more commercial markets. I can always find fresh hard to find veggies, thin sliced meat for hotpot and all me and my families favorite Asian food/snacks. They also have hot food early in the day, cookware, many teas and products that would make great gifts.

Good variety , friendly staff, and also an In House herbal and traditional medicine shop. Fresh meats, seafood, and produce at good prices. They also serve hot meals for lunch and then package the rest at a discounted prices in the evening. There is also a large selection of houseware items like dish sets, tea sets, cooking utensil, pots pans, and other household items like scented soaps. One of the few places to find whole roast duck. You can even find a wide selection of pickled fresh vegetables in their refrigerated foods area, being apart of a fairly wide variety of frozen Korean, vietnamese, Chinese and japanese items including ice creams and drinks. There are also import flavors of American brand snack. There is a little bit of everything here, worth a visit whether just to go out for a bit, grab a snack, or to do some grocery shopping. You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely love their butterfly cookies that you always see at Chinese buffet restaurants and, I also found a new cookie favorite in the club cracker sandwich cookies with lemon filling. I love the snacks here! I am always stocking up on the basil or seaweed Lays chips. They have great Ramen that is very affordable. They also have great lunch specials! My mom visits the nutritionist here for help with her hives. The nutritionist is very helpful! He prescribed her lotion and medicine that has helped to get rid of almost all of her hives. My mom also stocks up on rice here! It is very good and affordable.

Wow. First time visit. Great Asian grocery near the convention center in Tampa. I was at the convention center and needed some ingredients for panang curry and pad Thai, and some raw chicken feet for my dog. Found it all, fast, and the prices are good. Great selection of Thai, Chinese, Japanese ingredients, plus fresh produce and fresh and frozen meats and fish. Will definitely return and definitely recommend.

Typical Asian market and fair, they have fresh fish and Asian style cut meats. They also serve precooked foods as well but we stick to MD market for duck and roast pork, which is more flavorful. Food is cold. It is a nice place to pick up Asian spices and the hot food they serve is yummy but cold. However they DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OR EXCHANGES, so do not be experimental. Also the hot food they serve gets cold underneath the hot lamp so come early if you want it fresh.

We used to get our Jasmine rice from this store only but recently we've tried rice from some other locations, locations a lot closer to home. However, before a recent trip to Atlanta GA we stopped by for a few things and I ran into a really interesting woman. She was a customer of OOS not an employee. She said she used to be a ballerina and is an admirer of body types. We say a woman with a huge rear-end and we both looked at each other with the "wow" expression on our faces. That started a conversation about body types. She stated that she loved the color of my skin [dark brown], and my body as she caressed my bicep. I was like damn she's trying to pick me up in a Oriental grocery store. After telling her that I'm leaving for Atlanta with my wife she cooled some and said goodbye and left the store. After she left, I said the the cashier, "well she sure was friendly." The cashier just smiled and nodded. That was the most eventful trip to this store I've ever had. Btw, it's a good place to shop. Lots of variety.

It is a really good size store with a lot of hard to find Asian ingredients at cheaper prices than you can find them on the internet. Some fresh vegetables and meats but hundreds of jarred sauces and packaged noodles along with frozen seafood and meats. They had the tiny dried shrimp I have looked all over for!

If you're going to do any kind of Oriental cooking, you're going to find pretty much everything you need here. Make sure your GPS is on, it's kind of tricky to get to it if you don't know where you're going. Been awhile since I've been in here, they have really cleaned up their act. Store is extremely clean and well-organized, found just about everything I needed. Been in business well over 30 years, they know what they're doing. :-)

Place is great! If your thinking about going, don't. Just do it. It's an experience and you'll definitely find something for yourself or someone. They have a freezer section, produce section, all the seasonings, ramen you never knew was a thing, utensils and just so much more. Oh and hot food if your there before 12.

Quite happy with this market. They have a great little produce section, a ton of the fresh ingredients that I can't find in a lot of other places, and a fresh seafood/meat counter in the back. While the store isn't huge, they do carry a pretty wide selection of brands, including a nice spice/seasoning isle. The interior is a bit dated, but kept clean and the staff is friendly.

One of Tampa's oldest Oriental grocery stores the oceanic is an excellent place to find hard to find items. They have a very sizable frozen section and a produce section with many hard to find vegetables. Their selection of packaged noodles is truly impressive. They also have an extremely impressive apothecary section with very knowledgeable staff working the counter.

This is hands down the best place to get roasted duck and pork. They have a very large selection of noodles, teas, sauces, spices and everything you need to make sushi. Best prices in the area too and the cutest Asian tea cups and plates. Everything that I have purchased there has been of good quality. This was an outstanding market. Like the Tardis, it seems bigger on the inside than the outside suggests. There are so many different nooks. Fresh meat and fish. Frozen and refrigerated foods. Dry and canned goods. Prepared foods/deli. Bulk items and housewares and even an on site apothecary with herbs. Glad Google Maps was giving us problems and we happened to pull into the lot to reset. Went in on a whim and were truly amazed. Wish we had one like this in our town!

A family legacy, things are done the old fashion way. Great selection. Three generations this has been run by the same family the way the deceased Uncle wanted it to be. Fresh rare produce and amazing tea selection. The owners are super friendly and speak excellent English. The nephew is a pilot and spends his spare time at the market explaining the Asian food culture to the locals. This place is an event not just an Asian market. People drive from Orlando to go here, I drive from Wesley Chapel myself.

The moment I walked in, it took me back to my grandfather's store in and all of the competing Chinese shops in peninsular Malaysia that I ever set foot in as a child. The selection, arrangement, and people in the store are very nice. I have been to the other Oriental Market here in Tampa, but this one, by far, has more selection of fruits and veggies. I love this place!! I've checked out most of the Asian markets in Tampa. Oceanic is by far my favorite and in fact for the past 5 years the only Asian market I buy from. The Market is not huge but is laid out very well and has a good sized parking lot with easy access. They have everything I need and if I need an unusual product, they will make every effort to find and order it for me. I love how friendly and helpful the staff are and they speak English! They even greet you by name once they know who you are. "Suki" always greets you with her big, happy smile! The prices are very reasonable! The selection of fresh, exotic fruits, vegetables and herbs is plentiful. I buy the mild tasting Daikon radish to make spirolized zoodles...delish! They have Shirataki noodles, duck and quail eggs, fresh meats, short ribs, pork belly, duck, fresh fish, shrimp, sqid and much more! There is a medicinal herbal section and one of the owners is an herbalist and when he's there, he can be of great help as he has a wealth of information. The Hot Lunch Foods counter is amazing! But, it goes fast so better get there early! The other Hot foods they sell daily is Roast Duck, Pork Belly, Bar BQ Ribs, Bar BQ Pork Roast, Fried Pork Crackling and a nice variety of Desserts. This is the very best "one stop shop" market for me!

I LOVE THIS MARKET. The owners have always been so helpful and gracious. Anything you’ve ever needed from an Asian market you most likely will find at Oceanic. They have a VAST frozen section, a great fresh produce section, with many exotic fruits and vegetables not found anywhere else (to my knowledge) in the TAMPA Bay Area. Best prices, also! I’ve gone to Whole Foods, and have bought a dozen quail eggs, and paid between $6-$7... Oceanic has them for under $3! All my favorite medicinal TEAS can be found here also, and if not, they will order for you. The resident herbalist is very knowledgeable, and always ready to help. He has gotten me “well” many times from various ailments, with suggested teas and herbal combinations, as well as bottles of Chinese formulas that have been in use for hundreds of years. You won’t be disappointed. GO NOW!!! P. S. I was there once, and didnt realize I was the only customer left in the store, as it was after 7:30, and when I suddenly looked at the time, (7:45pm) one of the owners was nearby and I apologized profusely for making them stay just because I was browsing, and he smiled and said “don’t worry, we will close when you’re finished shopping” I still ran to the checkout counter, but, WHERE, these days, can you find that kind of attention and care, from local establishments, anymore??

For those looking for Sake and other alcohol, they have a pretty small (think one shelf) selection, but a few of the major beers.

They also have a wide selection of fresh and dried mushrooms, bulk teas, and noodles. This is a great place to get anything Asian, from roasted ducks, can goods, dried goods, frozen and fresh groceries. They even have clothes, dishes and collectables. If you want to find Chinese medicine there is a pharmacist to give you advice.

This place has been around for a long time. The first time I visited it, it was a little overwhelming. They have a medium to large frozen and produce section, and aisle upon aisles of different Asian products, all neatly arranged. I really love the drink section; there are some drinks they have, like UCC Oolong Tea that I can only get here. They also have a large tea selection in the back, along with dishes and dining ware and more. They are also directly on the bus route to the Mario Transit Center which is a nice plus. The downside I suppose is that the store is rather rinky-dinky. The lighting isn't that great, and at the deli section of the store, where you've got fresh food served, I've seen some pretty moldy thing there. The store needs a really nice make-over. Overall, if you're looking for exotic ingredients, and hard to find Asian foods, come here and you'll find it. It's worth your time!

I love this Asian market for all kind of things. It's so much fun to just wander around and look at things. Their produce is really, really good and cheap. I usually get baby bok choy, yu choy, green onions, fresh herbs, shallots, ginger, red peppers and all were high quality and easy on the budget. For fresh fish and seafood, produce, even fresh made dim sum and noodle dishes, this is a gem of a place. Pantry staples like sesame oil, soy sauce, fish sauce, tofu, and spices are also high quality and cheap, as well as their dizzying array of teas. I always discover something new to cook with. I love their snack and sweets aisle too! Highly enjoyable grocery trips.

I stopped in to see if they had Kaffir Lime leaves and sure enough, they were in their freezer section!! Picked up some bok choy, ginger, lemon grass, coconut milk and red chili 🌶 paste as well!! One of the best Asian markets outside of New York or San Francisco. Huge place, extremely varied selections; have their own steam table with enticing foods already cooked and ready for take out; they have THE BEST seafood department in Tampa Bay, with one wall of tanks containing live seafood; meat department is well-stocked and has butchers there to cut anything you might eant that is not already pre-packaged; in the produce department, they have fruits and vegetables from all over the world (and things that I could not even identify). Don't bother to ask for help finding something - almost none of the staff speak English (and my Chinese is limited to the names of food dishes). I drive over from north Tampa, just to visit this store. My HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!

Great oriental market. Variety of products(korean, japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese), fresh frozen canned or dried. Amazing lmhot lunch selections. Towards the late afternoon the leftover are sold at very reasonable prices in small packages. Conventient parking and also located within walking distance from the river front should you feel compelled to have a small picnic. They even jmhave a wide variety of home good and furniture in the back section of the store. Whoch along side is also a large selection of harbs and traditonal medicines. Highly recomend.

Doesn't look like much from the outside. In fact, if you aren't looking for it, the market is easy to miss and can be difficult to get to. The entrance is on Tampa St. heading into downtown Tampa just before the interstate. No problem if you're coming from the north but if you live in South Tampa you have to head north on Florida Ave, turn left on any of the streets that will take you to Tampa St and turn left. The market is on the left side of the road. It's a little farther than necessary, but a safe bet is Palm Ave.
