Reviews of Metropolitan Market West Seattle (Admiral)

This market is the just the best in the area. Superior quality of foods and even kitchen products and souvenirs, very well organized, clean and fairly priced, still on the pricier end but it's worth it. I absolutely love their deli, the soups, the bakery, EVERYTHING.
Beautiful flower section, great variety and cool little plant gifts.
The kitchen/ household goods are super nice.
And just for the record. I just went to the PCC nearby and in my opinion the Met market has equal or better quality and I find it to be less expensive.
Happy shopping everyone!

Outstanding like always, however, it was Friday, and the pizza was 2 for $5, and there was someone making fresh pizza, and he had a full cart of pizza made. The pizza that was being served looked like it was made in the morning and had been sitting for hours after being cooked very rough. We asked how long before he made it fresh, and he said that he was making tomorrow's pizza and wasn't making any more for today. I shop here all the time and spend a lot of money. The standard of the hot food area has dropped tremendously. I say that not just because of this one time, but I ordered $700 worth of food for Christmas and not only did they not have the order ready when they said but I had to wait an hour for them to get it ready. I ordered over a week ahead of time, and they had to substitute a casserole for a salad from the glass case, and nothing I liked even went with the ham. We planned our trip a few months back, and it was very inconvenient to drive during rush hour, which would have been avoided if it was ready. I don't blame the pizza guy, but whoever is in charge needs meet the standards they charge for. The 3 stars I gave are because of the last two times I shopped. Normally, it's 5 stars every time!

Excellent remodeling job on the interior of the store! Since I hadn't been in there in 3 years due to the West Seattle Bridge closure, it was like being in a whole new supermarket. Otherwise, customer service was excellent! The only minor thing holding this place back is very high prices compared to other grocery chains.😎😎🌴🌴 …

Ordered a Prime Rib Dip at the Deli. All they had, apparently, were meat pieces with fat or dried out end pieces. The French bread, looked and tasted old and dried out. It was $16.99, we took the sandwich home, tried to eat it and through it out. The rest of the store is amazing, clean and well stocked.

The food there is a No Go. I tried a soup (was the most ok, but poor broccoli was so-so overcooked), aranchini (old, cold even after I asked to warm it up, nothing like aranchini in Sicily), and the worst was the quality of products for poke bowl. It's very expensive ($18/pound) and after paying $10 for my bowl, I couldn't eat it. The mangoes were dark/brown and uneatable, the shrimps were also rather slightly rotten.
Beautiful store, nice service, but no-no-no for the cooked food.

Awesome but a bit pricey. Plenty of parking when I was there. The guy at self check out deserves a raise. Polite, friendly & helped me manage the machine which kept asking me "How many bags do you have?" I kept pushing zero because I was only there for a card. Sad that the MM closer to us closed.

Last night the evening cook made the BEST most delicious chicken pot pie on the hot bar . It was so good . Delicious . I am still thinking about it ! This is the best met !

An exceptional market/grocery store. Great selections, expertly merchandised. Samples of items to tease on. Excellent stock of local delicacies like a Poke Bar or Lopez Island ice cream or perhaps Ellenos Marion Berry or pumpkin yogurt.

You're going to pay a premium here but they have everything in stock and good quality produce, meat, and fish so I think it's worth it. And they have a pretty good selection of prepared foods as well.
