This is a unique grocery store in the context of Seattle, like the open grocery stalls we usually see in India. I loved this place. The prices are better compared to everywhere else. They also have a discount section of things which have soon to be perishing items.

Great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Apples, oranges, pears, pineapples, cantaloupes, watermelons, figs, grapes, and other fruits. Lettuce, cabbage, peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, cactus leaf, corn husks, corn, and other vegetables. Also fresh salsa, fresh cheese, baked sweets, sandwiches, candies, chips, sauces, and other grocery items. Amazing prices on short-date items. Friendly staff, nice and open layout. A little bit cramped around other customers, but mostly due to current social distancing. Also decent amount of free parking and clear signage with current prices of popular items. Highly recommended!

Neighborhood gem. Great produce and even better prices. They sell the stuff that needs to be eaten today really cheap on the back. I'm really glad they don't throw away the bananas because they are actually ripe. Go here, they are way better than any other grocery store around.

The best produce stand in Seattle. They have little snack items like fried banana chips, nuts, dried fruits for a couple bucks. They have hard to find items and my favorite bing cherries. I just wish they had more organic items. Staff is always polite.

I’ve been buying ~95% of my groceries here for the last few years and can’t imagine shopping elsewhere. Always a great selection of produce at an affordable price. Remember to bring your own bags if you have them! Macphersonss is great on reducing waste and doesn’t pre-wrap their produce in plastic, so it feels much like a farmers market to me

I have been coming here since I was a kid! They always have a huge selection of fresh fruits and veggies. They even have a few odds and ends I can't get anywhere else, like some spices etc. They are friendly and fast at the check out. The prices are good, there are a few things I still have to go to another store to get but overall great prices. Go early and get the best of the deals before they run out!

This is where I go for produce, whenever I can. The open air market is safer than a grocery store. You can get really good deals when they have overstock on some items, like a whole box of bananas for $3. Recently they updated their credit card policy to a $5 minimum. Support local business and pay with cash if you can.

They have an outstanding selection; everything from staples like potatoes, carrots, and apples to more unique fruits and vegetables you may not find other places. Their prices are great, and the service is always efficient. I don't think I've ever waited more than a few minutes to check out. Truly a gem in the Beacon Hill neighborhood.

Much better prices than major super markets. Fairly good assortment of organics, especially apples, which we all should eat organic. Staff is friendly. Tough to get in and out of at times but once you figure out your best way it's much easier. For baking and soups they always have bags of discounted item on one of the tables to the east.

Great prices and great produce. Staff is quick and friendly. Discounted produce is super cheap and they have an excellent variety of it often. Daily deals will blow your mind. Good variety of Hispanic/Latin American/Mexican made foodstuffs. Produce is well kept and is top of the line. Local grown makes up a good portion of their products. I can't say enough about this awesome produce stand.

This is the best place to shop! The prices are great and the produce is amazing. Giant and juicy fruits and veggies, better quality than Whole Foods and Met Market. But right now, this feels like the safest place in Seattle to shop. The market is outdoors, though partially covered, and plenty of hand sanitizer, partitions, clerks wearing masks, and room to socially distance yourselves from other shoppers. I'm high risk for covid and feel totally safe shopping here.

Great fresh produce stand, excellent prices for local fruits and veggies. I usually stop by when in the neighborhood to grab something fresh & sweet to share with friends. Great deal on Rainier Cherries every time they are in season. They are conveniently located at a bus stop so that is a plus.

The produce prices are very reasonable their specials are great. Open year round. The parking lot is small & usually packed the way it's positioned makes it sometimes difficult to enter & exit it's like a triangle on 2 roads at certain times of the day have high traffic & there's a middle school located across the street so when school lets out alot of foot traffic on top of car & bus traffic.

I love this place, it's always clean, fresh fruits and vegetables all the time. They have cute little dried fruit packets, that are great for snacks at work or school. And they are reasonable price. Just don't buy the Papaya there... One bad experience. Other than that.. they are awesome

This is my go to place for produce. They have the best pricing and produce. I grew up nearby and attended the school near here so this place is a staple from my childhood. Though I live 20 miles away, I still come here for the best of the best. Their staff is always helpful and friendly. The discount bin to your left as you enter never disappoints so I start there first.

This stand has such abundant and reasonably-priced produce. We drive in from Renton because the quality and prices are terrific. The parking lot can be a pain during peak times, but otherwise isn't too difficult to get in and out of. The staff are courteous and I've never had to wait longer than 30 seconds to check out. I highly recommend this stand for your produce.

Great prices great produce. Make sure they check you out correctly and apply all discounts. Checkout is always super fast. Receipts don't have name of items, but codes. Make sure to look at screen after they are done. Baked goods are also major plus as they have authentic Mexican doughnuts 75 cents a doughnut. Make sure to return carts as it is a super streamline company with little overhead. Simple and to the point, it's where you get quality produce for outlet prices. Strongly recommended

Great place for produce and good discounts on produce that's on it's last leg as they have value bags for produce that's not the freshest but fresh enough if you're going to use it within a couple days or so. Staff is friendly too. They also have Mexican sweet breads and other things but I mainly go for the produce.

Cheap and generally high quality produce. I recommend looking carefully before you buy, as I have had the experience of coming home with spoiled veggies on occasion from here. However, I still buy all my produce here because even if the odd head of broccoli is inedible, I still save money over buying in other locations. They also have other non-produce staples which you wouldn't know about without visiting -- you can't buy meat here, and you can't buy baking supplies here, but MacPherson's does have some more selection than just a produce stand.

Best prices in town. Fruit and veggies will not win too many beauty shots, but the prices are significantly lower than supermarkets or the farmers markets. Besides, they're for eating, not photographing. This is the place to go if you are preserving or pickling.

Love this local produce stand! My absolute favorite is the "seconds" corner, or "ugly" or fruits and veggies for CHEAP. I mean really, really cheap. Ugly foods need love too! Tip: it's on the far left side when facing the place. Tip #2: a dehydrator could allow you to preserve pounds upon pounds of these foods for months and years on end for winter/snackage/backpacking trips, etc. Having seconds/uglies fruits & are veggies reduce tons upon tons of food waste (one of the dumbest fixable problem we have), feeds more folks for less monies, and does our planet good! 🌍💚

Open air produce stand with Mexican seasonings, dried peppers, and a few Asian specialities reflecting the neighborhood. They sell very old produce VERY cheaply, and fresh product at very reasonable prices. It's more comprehensive than my supermarket, so it's a great place for veggies.

Love this local corner fruit and veggie stand. Doesn't have too much but enough variety for most basic needs. You have to eat the food pretty quickly as most are ripe ready to go. Prices generally lower than major grocery stores.

This family owned produce stand is great for cheaper ingredients that you're looking to cook in a few days. I would saw it's very comparable to some Asian markets that get their produce (such as their fruit) cheaper because they're close to their expiration or sell by date. That being said, I do like shopping here and I find it to be fresh enough to use for a few days - maybe 3-5 days.

It's like a box of chocolates you never know what is on special today anything could be here today and gone quickly. The staff is like a big friendly family. Though not all the produce is the cheapest it's always a fun experience to stop by and shop for produce here.

This is a local show-off stop when midwesterner out-of- towner's visit, they are blown away. Here you can buy a wide variety of fresh produce, spices, breads, condiments, salad dressings, dairy and create a moveable high fiber feast ..as a younger dog, I used to craft most of my meals from a Korean produce stand in the Haight Ashbury, so I feel at home. Always..check the culls on the east end, I have grabbed big bags of various bruised and imperfect fruits and veggies, raced home, and prepped them into something tasty abd durable, like a pear chutney, or blanched frozen broccoli florets to add to dinner plates with minimal effort. Take a cheap risk on an edible experiment. Remember: Ketchup is to cull tomatoes as hotdogs are to (unmentionable) bits of carcass too scary to sell otherwise. A plant based recovery diet should start here. The friendly staff are always helpful and courteous.

Among the best in the city. Typically really high quality produce in terms of flavor. I remind you it is a produce stand so you may have to pick through some of the fruit to find an unblemished one. Berries, sometimes are hit or miss. Apples are usually really good , definitely one you have to pick through if you don't want blemishes. Check it out, you won't be disappointed in the prices. checkout lines can get a little long between 4-6.

I feel like a member of the 1% because the prices are so crazy cheap. I can eat all the pomegranates I want because they're a dollar. I just got strawberries for fifty cents each. The good deals rotate but half the stuff is always super cheap. If you live in Seattle but can't really afford Seattle this is the place to go!

Some of these prices are crazy for Seattle. I think they get produce that is rejected from supermarkets because of size of odd shapes. (This is just my guess; I have not asked.) But you can get Pink Lady Apples for $1.80 a pound. What?! They have this one area with particularly crazy deals. The other day, I bought about 5 pounds of ginger root for a little less than a dollar. The people who work here are wonderful.

Love the deals! They always have a large selection of discount produce at absolute bottom basement prices. Today I got 12 yellow bell peppers for $2 and 5 GIANT Yukon gold potatoes for 99 cents. They usually also have at least one unique or "unusual" fruit: for example, today there were prickly pears, but I've also seen mandarin-quats and Santa Clause melon. Tomatillos, nopales, and multiple types of hot pepper are always in stock. Overall an extremely positive shopping experience. MacPherson's is the only place I buy produce.

I sincerely love this place. This is a year-round, open-air market that offers a variety of produce and other sundries. BRING YOUR OWN BAGS! My favorite part about this place is the left corner, where they advertise produce that's on markdown or clearance. This is where the value is! I've come here time and time again and scored on organic & local fruits and vegetables that are at the peak of ripeness (when they're the best for you!). If I can't use it right away, I just chop whatever it is up and put it in the freezer to use at a later time. This place is rather small, however, so you won't find the craziest of variety (go buy your dragonfruit elsewhere!) but it's not bad! This is the only place where I am able to buy a small box of ripe bananas for $.99! Aside from that, they also stock spoces, cheeses, and ethnic non-perishables like sesame oil and Tapatío.

McPhereson's is a neighborhood treasure. Better produce than nearby grocery stores for way cheaper. Always check out the random deals on the back table. I've gone there 100 times at least. The only thing that bothers me is the owner. He berates and demeans his workers in the presence of customers. Very unprofessional.

MacPhrerson's on Beacon Hill is a local fruit and veggie market. I stop by with my dog walking group whenever we are in the neighborhood because the produce is fresh, the prices are fantastic and the staff is friendly. They have quite a few Mexican treats and always carry papayas. I get bag full of veggies a half loaf of Essential Baking Co. Bread for less than $10. Now that's value.

I am not sure how long this food stand has been on Beacon Hill for, but it is a great place. A lot of variety and plenty of staff to help.
