I love the new store. It still have that personal touch that you don't get from the really large supermarkets. Great selection of meat and produce always fresh. I also love the prices on groceries. Large enough for what you need. Yet small enough to still give personal service. Thanks for serving our neighborhood.

Canseco's Market is a neighborhood gem. I make my runs down the street from the house and they carry pretty much everything that I need. Love the fresh produce, meats and deli offerings. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I hope when they move into the new, larger space around the corner, that they maintain the small store charm.

Found all food items I needed & a bonus Canseco's is now carrying Cheesecake Factory Original brown bread hopefully they will continue to carry thos item. Delish!

This place is about as New Orleans as it gets: the people, staff and shoppers alike, are as friendly as the day is hot, and there's always a pleasant surprise in the daily specials. Overall the prices are on the lower side of the line between "grocery store" and "convenience store", but with a good deal more selection than convenience stores offer. The deli is not to be missed if you need a quick bite. Not much for folks who are looking for HBA , only about three shelves. Not a bit of NOLA in the place: it's all New Orleans.

For a little neighborhood store, it has everything!! Friendly and courteous always with quick moving check out. The manager told me that they will be moving into a bigger space just around the corner. It's within walking distance of our home or just a quick drive. I have nothing but good things to say.

The store can use a make over and a few upgrades, some stuff is a bit expensive, and some stuff look expired, but other than that the staff is friendly. There are always sales, the meat department is not that big but they always have specials and sales, and good quality meat. The store has a family orientated feel, it's convenient, I am always in and out no long wait time. Social distancing is in place

A great place to get hot food. Their Mac and cheese and dirty rice is pretty good compared to other places. It is also a store so I like to buy convient snacks there too. Even though it is compact, it has a lot of things that is decently priced.

I never - ever leave two reviews. Perhaps I was having a bad hair day the first few times I ever went into the store. Truth is there are plenty of friendly employees. In reality, they really deserve 4 stars, but there is one employee there who is a REAL STAR so they get an EXTRA star JUST for her. They still need to get a handful of more veggies imo, and come down on the Shur Fine line that everyone else has for 10%-20% than they do. Again, great lil neighborhood market, very friendly staff.

A great place for small quick groceries to large family groceries right in the neighborhood. They sell hot food in the back. There is parking, but some people double park and block you from getting out. It's a good place to try out.

Always go to Conseco's, but the last few times were horrible! Was about to start going elsewhere! Then I went today and Logan changed my mine! She was friendly. professional, and very helpful! She definitely is a "keeper " ! Hope ever visit I encounter her!

Good place to go if you are just looking to run in and grab something. The prices are low when compared to other small markets like this and although the selection isn't great they most likely will have what you are looking for. Tip: Try one of the box lunches on days when you don't feel like cooking. For the same amount that you would spend at a fast food place you can get real food that isn't processed. You can pick from chicken, ribs, Salisbury steak, etc.

I usually can tolerate some of the prices and the mayhem that is the Canseco's parking lot considering the convenience of their location, until today when something was clearly wrong with their system, card was declined at two different registers, and the fella had the nerve to tell me to talk to my bank after I confirmed on my phone that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my account/bank or the card. Humiliating. Made the trip to Rouse's and purchased what I needed at nearly half the price with zero problems. Not going to be back for a long time.

It's a great little neighborhood grocery when we never had one PostK because before we had 2-3, they opened around 2008 to save the day but they're kinda high I was told from someone a friend that worked there Do Not order prepared food, I also don't do their meats I just go for deals when things are on sale, usually crowded parking lot is packed but I've just been upset that I've called them on sale price not showing up on register and their Mgr said I'll catch you next time instead of just adjusting price to sale price bc that's why I was there sho just watch it and compare pricing

Canseco's is a diamond in the ruff in the City of New Orleans. I discovered this gem after starting to work at Walgreens #1799 located in a Posh Neighborhood in Metairie, La. The first location stated right there on Metairie Rd in that plaza and I even worked for The Owner Mr. Canseco when he Managed a Winn Dixie Supermarket. Great store and now they even have a buffet and they do catering . A Mom & Pop Experience that is a nice change from the congestion of a Super Walmart.

Love this grocery store so much now that it’s big and nice in the new location so close to home. But I’d really like to see some items more like the esplanade location with more organic options, wider healthy beverage options, local meats/produce.
