Best chicken I've ever had my husband and I ate here 3 times while visiting. The location of the store is great and convenient for your wants and needs. All times of the day. And if you do nothing else please do try the chicken you won't regret it. Don't forget to get that seasoning on the chicken gives it an extra kick

Wow. Don’t plan on getting in and out quick! Great Cajun seasoning on the fries. The batter on the chicken is very good and unique.

We were walking down canal st looking for food, a gentleman named Daniel Johnson (blue bicycle) recommended brothers. Shortly after he robbed us at gunpoint. We still went to try the chicken after, it was worth every penny.

5 stars for the fried chicken. Best fried chicken I ever have. My friends and I stop by this store almost everyday during our long vacation in NOLA for these testy chicken. It doesn’t matter what time of the day you come, the chicken still tasty fresh and crisp and moist.

Customer service was actually really great! She said thank you, was patient, even a bit funny! (Both the register and the “kitchen” service.) Surprisingly, the chicken was phenomenal. She gave me this tiny leg and a huge breast which more than compensated for not getting two normal pieces, and it’s chicken-so what does one expect?! Overall, I really appreciated this place and the shockingly friendly customer service warrants 1) the review, and 2) the high star rating. The ONLY things which detract are the clientele and the beggars out front which usually make me feel a little less comfortable patronizing their establishment. Otherwise, it was more than what I had expected, even for a fancy gas station, and that says a lot! For that, I will definitely be back! Thank you for retaining high standards of customer service and preserving New Orleans culture.

My wife and I stopped here when we were in New Orleans. It was down from the hotel we were staying at. We stopped in to get something to drink to take to our hotel. My wife and I were hungry from being on the road for like 8 hours. I saw they had chicken and I suggested to get some. I'm sure glad we did. It was some of the best chicken I've ever had. Who knew that some of the best chicken came from a convenience store. If you are ever in New Orleans and like chicken I suggest you make this a stop.

My review is torn because the staff are working hard and they do provide basic conveniences. However, this store somehow attracts large groups of drunk people or people who appear homeless and are aggressive. The management of this store should get a grip on crowd control and not let long lines of drunk people gather. If they had a fast lane where one cashier dealt with reasonable people just trying to buy tobacco quickly, it would be more efficient. They get a lot of business because they’re the only place open in that area late and they tolerate disorderly behavior. My fiancé said they have a terrible tampon selection but sell diet pills. I would like the cashiers to spend less time engaging drunk people in conversation and actually ring up the transactions of people just trying to pay for something. I hear their fried chicken is good but I don’t have the patience to wait in line for it while being hit up by panhandlers

I visited off the recommendation of a friend who raved about the Brothers Fried Chicken. Delicious fried chicken, crispy French Fries. No complaints. I will say I wasn't expecting it to be inside of a convenience store, so definitely not a dine-in location.

Good store having several items handy. Got a bottle of water and some snacks (marbled cake, cream cheese cake) and chocolate milk. All three items were stale and had already expired / close to expiration. Kinda my fault I’d say since I didn’t expect this. Please check the expiration dates prior to your purchase

Man, this is a LEGIT fried chicken in the city of seriously great fried chicken. They fry the chicken several times a day - especially about 1 hr prior to lunch and dinner. The batter is INSANELY crunchy, really nice spices with a kick toward the end of your throat. Best yet, hear this - a mix of 8 pieces sets you back a cool $ 9.99! Isn't this great or what?

I was not disappointed. They had great, juicy, hot fried chicken even at 9:30am! There's a bit of kick in the batter, which is great, but if you're sensitive to spicy foods, be forewarned. My only regret is that I didn't get more :)

Yes the best fried chicken. We even got it for breakfast, no lie. It was better than our hotel breakfast in many ways. It's been always fresh and crunchy! It was a great expected find for a snack.

Pro: this chicken is fried HARD. Service is speedy and friendly. Con: this chicken is a bit on the saltier side, like a Royal Farms chicken.

Best chicken I've ever had. Fries are so tasty with the seasoning. nacadish meat pies were so awsoawe, you have to try it. Every thing was fresh because this place is always busy. It was the best food I had in new Orleans , which really says something about how great this place is.

Tasty fried chicken, but ordering was a nightmare. I told the guy at the counter that I wanted a 4-piece mixed with fries. He instead got me four chicken strips. I repeatedly tried to tell him I wanted fried chicken pieces, but he mumbled unintelligibly and acted rude while continuing to pack up the box. He then asked if I wanted anything else and I finally got him to make my order correctly. When I paid, they tried to get me to pay for both orders, but I convinced the cashier that I didn't want the first box. I was with a group and they all decided to eat elsewhere after that. The chicken itself was great, similar to Popeye's but better, but I don't know if it's worth the trouble. So, 5 stars for the chicken, one star for the experience. Good food, but I will probably not be returning.

Chicken was delicious, moist and tasty with excellent seasoning. Cajun rice was a little mushy but great flavor as it seems most order the fries which looked fresh and crispy. Cheapest quality eats in New Orleans.

Allow me to be very clear, I have never had the pleasure of visiting a brothers food mart, as a matter of fact I actually live in Idaho. The fried chicken that this fine establishment provides to society is literally so good that it seemingly transcends tastes. Just knowing that it exists does my taste buds enough justice.

Amazing chicken! We ate here 5 times in 1 week and still didn't get enough. Compared to the other local options, your dollar goes a lot further and the food is still great, fresh or leftover.

Stumbled in here after Bourbon Street. Really great chicken and kabobs. Right next to our hotel. We hit them up for chicken 3-4 times during our stay. You can buy liquor, beer, cigarettes and amazing fried chicken 24 hours a day.

It was awesome! Had Willie Mae's and Guy's. While walking back to our hotel, saw 2 dudes having a box of chicken outside Brother's food market, they said it was great, and they were locals. They were absolutely right!

Stopped by this quaint establishment in the wee hours of the early morning following bourbon street debauchery. Good lord. So amazing. I'm not a father but if I were I'm pretty sure eating these tenders can be compared to looking into my first born child's eyes. Wish you were in Michigan.

I don't mix politics and fried fish/chicken sooo... here goes. I don't know anyone who comes here for 5 star customer service. I come for the finger licking chicken and fish. I've never been to a 24-hour place where they welcome you like a Walmart greeter (which aren't always all that friendly). Besides the food, I remember they were one of the first to come back and be there when people were trying to bring back New Orleans after Katrina. If you want good ole boys service, which I've had and regretted, Brothers isn't for you. If you want some good food at any hour of the day, go to Brothers.

There I was...New Orleans...3AM and drunk...there was Brothers on the corner, right down the street from the St. Charles Hotel where I was staying. The place is a GODSEND.....the best fried yardbird I ever had with those slightly spicy thick cut fries...saved my night and I rallied for more carousing.
