Reviews of Publix Super Market at Melrose
LeraI shop at this location frequently and I have always received great customer service. I have decided that these fresh made salads are the best. I believe they're made fresh daily, and although there are a variety, there is one I prefer, it is the Leafy Greens, with green olives, cherry tomatoes, and red onions. I buy these quite often, and they're delicious, no cheese or meat needed!!
AliFirst time in this location. It was a late evening grocery trip. The store looked immaculate though. Friendly staff and not super busy on Sunday evening. Store didn’t looked too shopped from the weekend rush either. I would recommend and I will return when in the area. Parking was not too bad in the garage either. Good job on presenting a clean well stocked store yall!

It just seems that most of the items that I regularly buy are about 15 to 20% less expensive at a competitor. *that admittedly has lesser customer service.

Publix is definitely not the cheapest grocery store going but I am generally okay with that because the higher prices are usually reflected in the experience you get. Nice wide aisles. Great cleanliness. Friendly staff.
However my pet peeve is when there are not enough baggers and I have to bag my own groceries. At Aldi, where the prices reflect that, cool. All good. When I'm paying top dollar, no.
If this were an only once occurrence I wouldn't sweat it but it's happened pretty consistently the last 4 or 5 times I've been there. Last time I was bagging my own groceries while there were two baggers on a single line down the way, one of them just staring at me doing their job.
So yeah, unless you can provide the service your prices command, I don't see a reason to go because the selection is basically the same as anywhere else.. in fact they often are missing things that I can get at the smaller Kroger a mile down the road.
I will say the deli dept. here is top notch though. They really treat customers well.

Eddy Set GoThis is a fairly new Publix. You can enter through the entrance on 8th Ave. Or enter through the parking garage. The parking garage is fine and there's two levels. If you pull in the first one that's on your right you will be on the second level. You just take thr elevator up to the 3rd floor which thr store is on. The elevators are spacious enough for a shopping cart. The store itself is clean and organized just like any publix. I have noticed they don't carry absolutely everything thing the publix close to my house does. However its not small by any means.
Michael WilliamsUPDATE (June 2022): Things at the deli have really improved after Publix fired the previous manager! The staff is much friendlier, faster and knowledgeable. I commend them on the improvements! Also, it's worth mentioning that the pharmacy at this location is absolutely the best in Nashville! I've used several different pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens,Kroger) but decided to switch all my business to dislocation. Laura and Emma are so friendly and knowledgeable. Recently I had a birthday and Laura immediately informed me that I was eligible for a shingles vaccine. I found this kind of service extraordinary in this day and age. I highly recommend this Pharmacy to everyone in the Melrose South Nashville area! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The deli has serious problems. I came by at 6:15 p.m. and all the soups were out on top of the counter, cold as ice. Try to get a sandwich but it was not one employee in sight. Not coming back here again, I don't want food poisoning.
Nick SimmonsIn ground parking. Easy access. Greeted at door. Not bothered for assistance unless I asked. Good solid store. Prices were good if shopping smart. I took stairs for entry. Elevator for the exit.
