Reviews of Wedge Community Co-op

I love this store and its mission and the opportunities it brings to the city. Its close to how i feel about how things should be done - sustainability is the only way to survive.
1 big gripe= early closing times and like situations. Especially consistent things like the Annual Staff Party/Meeting. If its "annual" you can make an email pre-warning customers you're closed. Or tell patrons coming in the days beforehand.
I personally have to walk, add cold weather + you get unhappy camper in me when I see that tiny sign. Stuff like this can be don better

This is a very awesome store. Lots of healthy food choices. This is a great co-op with great things to eat. Awesome selection of Kombuchas and also energy drinks including hi balls. Nice that the indoor seating is open again. It was shut down for so long due to the pandemic. Great soups and hot bar. Súper awesome friendly staff. Nice neighborhood. Yo recomiendo este lugar para comprar comidas saludables y orgánicas.

$4 for an empty jar?
Prices are somewhat outrageous. But they have a good selection of organic produce and vegan food and even a hot bar.
K&K (TopGun)
Great juice
Tasty smoothies
Wide variety of healthy seeds, grains and spices
Broad spectrum of essential oils etc etc. It's a one stop co-op shop.

Great place to shop for seriously high quality organic food!! The bakery is amazing, and I love how they have little things of cheese in plastic wrap for like 70 cents. It's pretty cool. But the selection of kombucha and produce is the best in the area for sure. Bring your own bags though, it really helps. The staff is also VERY nice. I visit this place at least once or twice a month.
Laura Rose
The coconut soft serve twist cone is mighty tasty🙂 Highly recommend! …
Rachel Vadnais
Great shop. We love to buy lions mane mushrooms here and purchase different items from the dry good section where you measure out what you need.
Abby Corts
Started producing less waste and the wedge was the only place where I could find bulk pastas and the widest variety of items for bulk purchase. You can bring your own jars or purchase from their selection. Milk bottles can be returned and bread has a cabinet like system so there are many types of bread to buy in bulk.
By the way, these fruit slices are ADDICTIVE.

Favorite place to shop in Minneapolis. Tons of vegan and gluten-free options! Always have amazing produce and staff are very helpful & nice.

Love this place. Always busy but worth it. Gotta find something similar moving to andover.😪 …

I have been going to the Wedge since I was 18 and my uncle first toke me, Thank you for showing me healthy can taste good!

I love my local Wedge Co-op SO MUCH! I love the sales they have, I love the owner discounts on select items, how fresh the seafood and fresh produce is here and the smoothie & juice bar is always a great place to get a healthy “splurge” too. I recommend the double wheatgrass shots at the juice bar too! The employees are very helpful and friendly too. One of my other favorite parts of the services they provide here is that they allow you to drop off recyclable plastic bags in the main entry way too, and even more handy - they have a bunch of community compost bins in the small parking lot on the SW corner of their property which you can sign up to use if you are a local neighborhood resident. I love the selection of local bakery items available from places like Great Harvest Bread Co., Bogart’s Doughnut’s, Patisserie 46, and others too. The community bulletin board outside the main entrance is very handy to reference too.

I swear I already left a review for The Wedge but Google keeps bugging me about it so: The Wedge is great! For someone who can't have gluten, there are still so many options and I go here for a quick lunch at least once a week. The coffee is excellent, the bakery items are excellent, I love their soups and deli items. They have great variety even though they're a relatively small store. The Wedge can be a bit spendy but you know you're getting the highest quality food.

Love this place! When ever my husband and I are up there in the 10am-5pm we try to get this vegetarian burrito they sell, very good! Some very good organic and locally sourced grocery options. Thanks for all the hard work you all put into making that place awesome!
Cindy Inman
Wedge Community Co-op is a wonderful store I visited for the first time with a friend. It is conveniently located right on Lyndale in Minneapolis. They had many bulk items and organic foods. We were thankful to get handicapped parking right by the entrance door. There was an ample amount of employees who were busy but very willing to help as needed. I hope to return again soon when in that area. 😊
Alli Tripp
Wonderful community co-op, love their smoothies and fresh baked goods, bulk shopping eco-conscious
Terry Hesse
Great store and staff! Always a treat to shop here. This morning a wonderful saxophone player was creating beautiful music outside.
Julia Niskey
I’ve been shopping here since October and love this place but am very confused about their “sales” that they switch every week. Wedge is for the community ? Yet the community can not afford to shop the prices are everywhere and it feels like a joke when I walk in for the plant sale and the compost is a whooping $16 when compost at other places are $6-$7 and yes I could go shop at other places but, I fell in love when this place when I moved to this area and now I’m falling out of love because It just doesn’t feel the same anymore.
Dianne Morstad
Always the best! Been shopping the Wedge since the 70's. Rainbow chard, Italian chard, the cleanest fresh chicken livers in town! Crusty breads, wonderful cheese selections. Took home a brown butter brioche donut as a new treat to try.
Sam Rose
being that this is the closest co-op to me, i would say it serves my needs just fine. very appreciative of the cap (co op affordability program) discount, especially since i can also use it on non-food items such as soap and deodorant. the free compost drop off area is well maintained + it's really nice to shop sales. i do think that the prepared foods selection leaves a lot to be desired, and the produce can often drastically vary in quality.
Cheryl Batson
The best natural food coop in the Twin Cities with a large selection of bulk food, spice, herb items and a wonderful beverage-coffee shop as well as local fresh meat and organic meat. I only wish the neighborhood was safer. Perhaps this will start to turn around after this last election.
Andy Wicevic
I love this store. It's always clean & has a friendly atmosphere. It has an excellent variety of unique food items, prepared & packaged. Also, many organic & bulk choices. Excellent meat & fish market. Very nice selection of cheeses too. And don't miss the bakery, coffee shop & fresh produce.
Niklas Banks
Very friendly staff and an nice array of organic, dairy free, and go vegan options.
The produce is what they are known really well for, and their bulk items (fill up on $_ per pound oats, nuts, candy, etc) are based on some pretty good bulk pricing! Nice selection for bulk items as well!
Deli, cheese counter, and coffee shop counter sell really good products. And they typically have a hot bar that sells really great to-go meals! ❤️
Elsie Lang
My coop of choice, always affordable to buy in bulk and always has the latest in plant based finds and goodies! The people are always so kind and helpful and knowledgeable as well. The take out food is always delicious, cravable and fresh. Sometimes we can't help but go out to eat here for a "date night". Ha ha ha. Coming from Duluth we didn't have to renew our membership as often and for the higher price I don't feel that necessary here, for me personally with a two person household, living on a budget. However no hate on the membership, the deals are great, and I can see it as a good thing for some people! Thank you for doing you -- Wedge! Appreciate ya.
James Paul Beldon
This co-op grocery is one of best. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming! Wedge believe less in pre-packaged foods, which gives me freedom of adjusting the size of each grocery item I am purchasing. It is like opposite to bulk buying without sacrificing cheap prices, I live alone so I tend to need less than average size. They have great plant-based options for vegan shoppers. Most fresh produce are organic, yummy and healthy!
They have a cute section of gifts and cards. I am often tempted to overbuy groceries and stuffs from this wonderful shop! They practice pandemic safety precautions well.
Shaga Robinson-Spigner
Great service. I went with a friend recently and couldn't believe how nice and attentive their employees were. Great staff!! Next time I'll be creating my own membership 😌 …
James W
Great grab and go food, prices are higher than average but quality is too. Great secondary grocery store for speciality items.
Molly Weisenburger
Great place for bulk supplies so you can reduce your plastic waste. Produce is always well-organized and fresh. Very helpful staff and overall a huge asset to the community.
Ben “Yung Hinoki” Wu
I love this place, but I love most coops, however what stands out here is the lovely selection of bulk, all types of ingredients including coffee, syrups and honeys, nuts, flowers, teas, all sorts of spices. Especially when you don’t use an ingredient a lot, it’s nice to just pick up a little bag of it. Also the coffee prices in the bulk sections are amazing.
Troy Stewart
My Spouse Mark and I Love the Wedge Coop.
We have been shopping here for way over 20 years. They have off street parking when available. The food is good. Be sure to bring your own bags.

Always a few options available for on-sale produce that’s super fresh. Lots of organic produce. Canned & grocery options are decent prices. Selection of prepared food options is better than other co-ops. Fresh meat has excellent selection—grassfed and corn-finished beef, organic and free range chicken, and locally/regionally-produced sausage, bacon, etc. since I’ve been cooking for a lot of family during Covid, meat selection helps me vary our meals! Always excellent customer service
Nita Raymond
I was having a bad day, produce flying out of my hands as I was trying to corral it all into my bags. But when Emma graciously offered to help me with my groceries—it turned my day around. The Wedge is lucky to have such a welcoming and kind person on the front lines of customer service. Thank you Emma!
Mike Zarn
It took me a while to warm up to this community and I finally joined. There are plenty of good sales and discounts to offset the high prices. They also have a program to reduce food prices if one relies on EBT. The people in each of the departments will go out of their way to help you find what you want. This is a topnotch cooperative and is well worth several visits until you become familiar. I think you will like it!
M M
Wide isles, (they) workers pick health conscience products, clean store. Less junk food and keeping it real.
Shamar Reed
I absolutely love The Wedge!!! This Co-op has local and organic foods at a reasonable rate especially when you sign up to be a member you get discounts through out the store including the Juice bar which serves more than juice, but there are also health and wellness drinks, tonics, shots and smoothies all organic. I have been a member for 5 years and I absolutely love it there.
Steve Huot
One of the best grocery store/coops in the TC area, but let's face it, we have an abundance of great coops here. I would especially praise their butcher shop. Their chicken is outstanding and reasonably priced. Also, I will not buy spices anywhere else. The same amount of oregano you pay anywhere from $3 to $5 for in any regular grocery store costs less than a buck and is much fresher.
David Perchinsky
Exceptional variety of foods. Amazing coffee bar
Emily Hintzman
They did a great job with the remodeling. It's more spacious and bright than it had been in the past. I like to get my produce here and rarely have any fruit or veg purchased from there that isn't great. The store tends toward what is in season, though you can buy a lot of standard produce as well as the exotic. Watch for the co-op deals! It pays to check the website ahead of time. The staff is helpful but not over the top (you can browse undisturbed if you choose). There is a hot bar and a selection of grab & go items. It's on the 4 bus line and not far from the 2 and the 17. The bulk aisle has some hidden gems, so it's worth taking your time to look around. The prices on some things are higher than what you'd spend at a chain, but you get what you pay for and you have more opportunities to buy local/fair trade here.
Greg Gilquist
Thank you Wedge Coop Meat Department. I have had two amazing holiday meals thanks to you. A 15 lb Kadejan Free Range Turkey and Beelers Porketta. Going to the Wedge is not always a stress-free situation. It is located in LOO-LOO central with the traffic, that nasty left turn (will the Gods permit me to enter the co-op this time of day?) and since it is still a pandemic, the great staff will act like its a job in the big city--I appreciate it. The meat department is out-of-their-way customer driven though. The front end is also "on it" catching folks with two large items ready to purchase and maskless renegades. The whole team deserves credit for creating a place to live and eat healthy in a crazy place and a crazy time.
Larry Blau
Old time member of this coop. Very good selection of lots of health food. They abide by 7 coop principles. Produce, mostly organic, always fresh and tastefully laid out. Downside: prices are quite high. Quality is good though, and they're great about taking most things back if not satisfied. They have needs based program. That translates 10% of on any purchase, every single shopping trip. Membership is much cheaper for needs based. It's honor system, you don't have to prove to anybody you are entitled to it, just quick paperwork and you have completed the process. The managers are great, and the staff very knowledeable. Also, member only specials always going on; for example, just about every week there are member only discounts.
Jared Mitchell
Everything an earth conscious shopper could ask for and more. Plenty of locally sourced, organic produce; a great hot food bar; lots of attentive and helpful staff. A gem and a staple of the community
Katie Hall
Great grocery store with some local, fresh options!
Daniel S
Excellent grocery store for local produce and specialty products. Great bulk sections, hot food, & butcher counters. The staff are friendly and the store is well kept. I visit regularly but I still find myself at big box retailers for certain staples.
Laura Morrison
The bakery is closed without explanation? Also, please bring back the mint brownies and vegetable quessadillas. We LOVE the Wedge like nowhere else. The meat shop is outstanding. Lots of change though....
ibeanthony
Love the bulk section and the cheese makers and butchers are always quick to ask if you need anything. We love the selection of fruit and vegetables!
Noah Tankersley
Best groceries available with noticeably better taste and quality than other grocery stores. It's a bit more expensive, but that's the price for ethically sourced, mostly organic food. There's also numerous package-free options, including a bulk spice section.
Z
Amazing store! Great location on the bus line with car and bike parking available. The selection was amazing, prices were reasonable - below Whole Foods for comparable products.
Vegetarian and vegan options along with sustainably sourced meat products. Each staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
This is our new go-to grocery store!
Olga Blyednova
I was staying in Minneapolis only for a month but that was enough to fall in love with Wedge Co-op. An amazing selection of local products and ready-to-eat food. Everything that I tried there was so delicious (chicken pot pie, corn cheese chowder, chicken pesto quesadilla, almond vanilla granola...). I also loved that I could buy as much flour, sugar or organic coffee as I needed, not a 2lb pack I'd have never used during one month. The staff was always very friendly. I'm going back to NY now and I will really miss this store. It makes me want to move to Minnesota :) thank you for building this community, you're doing an outstanding job!
Marc Meyer
Get there when they open for hot scones. Delicious. Great grocery. Curried cashews also delicious.
Nitszu
Two words "Quality" and "Wholesome". This place is on the pricey side of things. But, Quality and Wholesome food is what you getting. But being a Co-op member has its benefits so sign up and get cool discounts and perks.
Peter Thomas
The Wedge Co-op has led the way in supporting unionization, the store is bright and warm and well-stocked, the variety from basics to luxuries is almost breathtaking, and they're definitely doing a fine job of maximizing safety for both their welcoming and astute workers, and their customers....(neither of which they could exist without!)... during these pandemic times.
I love that they still support a big bulk selection, which is much more intelligently organized than some, and their variety in general, is the best I have seen in any Co-op in the U.S.!
Eli Curran-Moore
Have fun turning left. We definitely won't mind

I am a member, so I might be biased but the wedge is a great co-op in a great location. Plenty of parking, good produce, wide variety of bulk items,Good dairy choices excellent meat department; it’s all there.
Rebecca T.
I love this location. They always have the off items I can't find elsewhere. I love all of their bulk items that contain everything from flours, beans, granola, soy sauce, syrup, nut butters, salad greens, detergent, shampoo...etc. I have dramatically reduced my wasteful purchase of products in new containers every time I run out of a staple as I now refill containers with higher quality for less cost. Their spice section is also well stocked with most of the odd spices I need. Their baked goods are addictively good and their meals are also delicious. I am also in love with their newer, longer hours. Highly recommended!
Erika T
I stayed in Minneapolis for 3 months a frequented Wedge weekly. I was blown away by their organic fruits and vegetables. I am from down south and had never seen a place like this. We would go and buy 5 different kinds of fresh ground coffee and taste test all week. I was also fond of their tiny cheese samples you could buy. We had several charcuteries made possible by Wedge!
Ian Allen
Great local co-op with a nice selection. The butcher counter, in particular, is the best I’ve encountered in Minneapolis—extremely friendly service, willing to answer questions, and a large selection of organic and grass fed meats. Lines at the front lanes can be slow moving sometimes, but I figure that’s just the nature of a co-op where many things are sold in bulk (i.e no bars codes). Speaking of bulk—their bulk selections of rice, nuts, beans, everything is exceptional and a great way to save money and buy exactly the amount you need. Finally, I will say that the membership is a great deal. If you shop here regularly you will more than make up what you’ve invested in a few short months thanks to the generous sales and monthly discount.
Alison Chellsen
Great experience shopping at the wedge! Lovely, fresh produce, excellent bulk coffee, delicious baked goods and thanks to Nell, a cheery cashier who gave me some great recipe ideas.
John Radolinski
Excellent selection of organic foods and homeopathic medicines. The Golden berries (a.k.a. Cape Gooseberries) are amazing. I have never eaten them before. Tart & tasty. Good source of vitamin C.
Marion Estelle
Some things were expensive bc it's like those indie vegan brands but some things were a good value! Look for the big price tags that say wedge if you wanna save money. Private gender neutral restroom was nice!
Cali Newby
Great selection of fresh, healthy, locally sourced foods! My family and I shop here quite a bit! I am only leaving 4 stars because I frequently shop The Wedge’s ice cream aisle... and every time I eat the ice cream it’s super frost bitten and the candies on the inside are dry and crumbly 🤮 I think the freezers might be too cold? Either way it breaks my heart because I love me some ice cream that is conveniently located in my neighborhood.
James Pham
I love everything about this place! They focus on local and fresh foods. Items available are generally more chemically free with fewer but more pure ingredients.
The staff are always helpful and friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy their work.
The Wedge is also big on sustainability with their strong support (and financial discounts to you!) for bringing your own containers/ packages, their use of eco-friendly trays at the deli vs Styrofoam trays, the convenient Terra Cycle bins (for hard to recycle items such as multi-layered bags and tooth paste tubes), and more!
Shop local, shop organic, reduce packaging waste and live well at the Wedge! I highly recommend becoming a member as well!
Cat Lee
A great neighborhood grocery store that emphasizes local and seasonal products. I love the hot bar addition with the remodel. Friendly, helpful staff. Some of the products can be really expensive but if you are a member you get a discount and you can also look for the Wedge Basics tags for items that are priced lower.
M Smith
Very fresh, quality produce, many organic goods, wild caught fish, some variety of baked goods and small hot bar. Prices are not cheap. Store and parking lot can be cramped.
veronica starzinski
The hot bar and deli are always stocked with a variety of mouth watering items for every diet! I am vegetarian and eat predominantly vegan and am never disappointed with my options. The staff make you feel welcome and are beyond helpful. ❤
Tristan Klausegger
I got in line at 3PM on a Saturday. The woman in line ahead of me gave me an attitude about keeping six feet apart (which I totally was), but the employee at the front of the line had zero time for her attitude. They are only allowing 50 people in at a time, and due to the current events, they closed at 4PM today. I was able to get most of what's on my list within the 15 minutes that I had to shop, and the woman working the express lane was very friendly. I would like to come back here on a less chaotic day when I can really take my time and browse their selection, but until then, I appreciate them being open because they were the only grocery open in the neighborhood this weekend. Stay safe, Minneapolis!
Sarah Estey
The fresh gluten free bakery case is a vice I’m simply not willing to give up. The fresh organic eggs are better than anywhere else. The fresh berries are delightful even in winter off season. The cold salad selection for gluten free and vegetarian provisions has bailed me out of my energy depletion when I worked too hard. Matter of fact, this whole market itself is a life saver.🕊
Melissa Kramer
Absolutely love the Wedge! Mostly for their selection of gluten free products my family needs for health reasons. The bulk nuts and dried fruits, fresh produce and deli are also great! You can even make your own fresh peanut butter!!
Alyanne H
Great co-op! The food is delicious, the coffee is fantastic, the staff is mostly pretty darn friendly! It is pricey, esp of your not a member, but it can totally be worth it for the quality! The prepared food from their deli is wonderful!
Tip for drivers: try to approach from the (east? Headed toward downtown, the wedge wil be on your right then) side of the street the co-op is on. Turning left into the lot is a pain to the drivers on both sides of Lyndale! Thank you!
Azurus Blue
Great local co-op. Vast selection of bulk products, food, and everyday goods. Many vegan and gluten-free options in hot and cold bars. Ground-nut soup had well balanced seasonings, a delightful find.
Dianne Schuchard
Co-ops have been a necessity in our lives for many years now. The Wedge is one of the best. It is the first co-op we became members of. Always a great selection of fresh organic fruits and vegetables. Always a large selection of fresh organic grains, seeds, nuts, flours, sugars, spices, herbs, coffee and the list goes on. Parking can be hard at busy times. When construction is happening in the area just plan your approach to the store accordingly. You can bring your own bags to cut down on environmental issues. The people in the cheese area are super helpful. Always a sale going on some brand of organic chocolate candy bars. Always monthly sales on a variety of items. If you want to eat better, try shopping at the Wedge.
J M
Great place for lunch. Great quality, whole foods....the hot bar is awesome. The bakery is easily one of the best in the Twin Cities.
Cons: you pay dearly. Some items are *seriously* overpriced (produce and bakery especially). You will occasionally get unwarranted attitudes from the staff.
Alla Ilushka
I'm not very familiar with the grocery part, but I feel I need to say something about the catering department: exceptional. I am consistently so pleased at the professionalism, quality of food, customer service, etc. This is one of the few caterers I work with where I know the food will be delivered on time and in ample quantities, plus it's a great value. I highly recommend the catering program and look forward to our continued partnership.
Anna Saclolo
The people that work here are so helpful and just have good vibes ☺️
Julie Johanson
Food selection is great! And I love the hot bar! Would be five stars if not for the service from some if the women who work the coffee and smoothie counter. The guys are cool though. Management is super responsive to customer concerns.
Ashton Johnson
Great selection and good prices. I've done some comparison shopping and most stuff is the same or a bit lower than the other uptown grocery stores.
As a vegan I love the wide selection I can find of both ready made, packaged, and whole food items. I can all the staples I need from oatmeal to quinoa to Earl Grey in the bulk areas. Their fresh baked breads and baked goods keep me popping in often.
It can feel a bit packed even when it's not because of the store layout.
A great co-op of which I am happy to be a member.
Jacquelynn Goessling
I remind myself when shopping at the Wedge Co-op that I am paying to create and sustain the kind of world in which I want to live. If like my food to be fresh, as local as possible, and I want to feel like someone has supported, vetted, and vouches for the producers.
The Wedge does that for me.
Sure it's more expensive than chain grocery stores, which are filled, aside from conventional produce, with artificially cheap processed food if little interest to me.
Additionally, I love that the Wedge owns the Midwest distribution system for Co-op Partners Warehouse, which increases the market for local, sustainable producers.
Georgean Polakiewicz
We found the produce gentleman to be very helpful. Great cheese department!
Joel Herz
Lots of options for a small store. Shopping here doesn't have to be expensive. Most of the produce is competitively priced. Just some things to stay away from. Coffee bar is well priced too! Cheaper than most and super good. Plus there are deals all the time. Great spot.
Denise Liu
Impressive array of bulk foods, gluten-free and vegan ingredients. Staff are always amazing & helpful. Excellent hours. Alt-health is not my jam, but there's a whole aisle of it.
Kate L
A nice little co-op grocery store with most of what I need. The produce is always nice and fresh, they have a hot bar for lunch, and house-made salads, wraps, etc. The bulk section isn't as great as some of the other co-ops, but it's not bad. There's a place along the windows to sit down and eat lunch, although it's pretty small. I always stop by when I have a craving for pickled herring (you either love it or you hate it!), as they package their own.
jenny thoennes
Great selection of natural and organic foods. Their bulk section is well stocked with interesting lentils, legumes and grains. Plus they have a nice selection of loose leaf teas. I would not however recommend the Gluten Gree baked goods in the deli. They're disappointingly dry.
David Coats
Had everything we were looking for available. Masks required, but aren't forbidding reusable bags. Excellent selection of produce, other items. Bulk food available--they are providing plastic gloves to use the scoops. Social distancing not as clear as at Seward Co-op.
liz not slow
Love the Wedge! High quality products. Helpful staff. Always discovering new and interesting foods and products. More expensive than major chain grocery stores, but the produce, seafood and deli are not too expensive, while maintaining high quality! Worth the cost.
Zen Boogieman
I wish I had a Wedge Co-Op where I lived. Went to Minneapolis with my wife to visit the city and sister in law. She introduced me to the Co-Op. I absolutely love the place! The organic food selection was amazing. Friendly staff available to help if needed. Large variety and selection of food and coffee. Bottom line, this place is awesome!
Derek Dahlen
First off, the vegan soft serve is amazing.
The staff is also incredibly helpful. My family and I were there in the produce section looking at an odd fruit, a rambutan. The staff person cracked one open right there and gave us a taste.
A4NQT
The staff is very knowledgeable & helpful, & they have lovely gf & healthier options for bakery items. 😀 …
sai kumar
Overall products are Good but a bit on pricey side.
K C
Very wide assortment of natural foods! Beautiful produce and the deli and bakery have some of the most delicious recipes! There is outdoor seating available for a quick bite. Service dogs are welcome here as well!
Becky Tossey
Obsessed with the Wedge. I love the wide variety of bulk items including spices and herbs!! Produce quality is superior. It’s nice to shop and know that you don’t have to worry about comparing the quality and honesty of the produce and packaged groceries in the store.
justin demike
Great bulk items and reasonably priced. Great produce and meats, priced pretty high. They do offer 10% discount and reduced membership for low income. Lots oh hippies, but they smell good.
Bonnie M
I appreciated the large variety of fresh produce, supplements and bulk items. I found a great gluten free selections even in the hit food area which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

This "organic co-op grocer" has been around for a very long time and as of late went through a remodel. I love the fact that you can get really great meats and cheeses that are portion controlled making the prices vary depending on how much you want. Very nice hot food bar and salad bar at around $8 a pound.
Aaron Jacobson
They have an amazing variety of organic and natural products. There is a huge following by the hipster community. That's no fault of wedge, but it makes me not want to go there a little bit. Great location unless you live in the south suburbs. Parking is atrocious though, not that there isn't enough, in that there is a super busy road that you have to try to pull onto.(lyndale and Franklin)
John Winter
Uptown fresh organic and healthy groceries. I have to admit I don't live near the Wedge there are certain products that I like. I get natural soap, fresh meats including good seafood and cookies. They have a great bakery. One of the few places around with a huge salad bar that is billed by the pound. I also get my Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil here for my keto diet. Bring money because it's not cheap. But, the quality produce hard to find health foods are worth it.
Tami Bauers
The Wedge continues to be the best place in Uptown to shop for natural and local foods. Outstanding and knowledgeable staff. Recent consolidation with Linden Hills Co-op has brought some significant new price deals on lots of items. Indoor and outdoor seating was added in the remodel and is a welcome change.
Krista Anderson
When I went here about two weeks ago, they did not seem to be taking enough of the care needed during this time, especially compared to stores like Seward Co-op. I hope that has changed, but I didn't feel safe there. I won't be back until we get through this crisis. Maybe then I'll restore the higher rating I previously gave them.
James Bjork
The Wedge is a very well stocked all organic grocery store. They have a great selection of bulk grains at a reasonable price. They also offer excellent grass fed beef, free range chicken, and Dave Regotzke sockeye salmon.
Tom K
Great store with lots of vegan selection and friendly staff. I really love their food and variety. That being said, I did have one mishap that was pretty annoying. I bought their ready to eat vegetable garden focaccia sandwich that usually tastes great. I just had one that tasted weird and half way through realized that it was turkey Focaccia. Not cool. I am a vegetarian and I feel horrible and gross. Please take care in labeling your premade sandwiches correctly. Perhaps consider using different color boxes for vegan and meat sandwiches.
Cathy Cozad
Incredibly wonderful source of hard to find herbals, CBD, organic vegetables, delicious prepared foods and juice bar. My favorite hot bar item is the shakshuka which is gluten free and vegetarian. Oh man, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. 😆
I love to browse the home accessories area. I love to find locally crafted goods for my friends (and me too.)
Colin
Combining a bodega, cafe and community space well takes talent and the Wedge has pulled it off. They've got a small selection of quality groceries as well as a deli and baked goods. I like to grab a coffee and a scone in Sunday mornings and read, then get my groceries (combined with Marissa's down the street you can get all your staples).
Richard Adams
The wedge has a very good variety of different and unique products; the staff is very helpful and friendly. They have some of the most educated folks when it comes to supplements because they continuously educate themselves on their products. I really enjoy shopping there!
Essie Anawalt
This has been my primary grocery store for 3 years, and I’m actually quite sad to be moving away.
Lovely people and outstanding produce.
CoryAnn K
I love this place! The groceries are amazing and there are so many unique options. It's a little expensive, but great quality!
Christopher Phillips
Best co-op ever. Great staff, friendly and very knowledgeable. Produce selection is fresh and abundant. Good prices.
Kari Johnson
If you are new to the Co-OP world check out the Wedge! You do not have to be a member to shop here, but there are benefits to membership. Additionally, the prices on many things are very reasonable for everyone, there is a great bulk section, and the hot/salad bars are great for a quick, tasty and affordable meal.
J
I hadn't been here in years but it's much nicer now than it used to be. It can be a pain to get in and out of the parking lot depending on the time of day. Prices are about what you expect at a co-op but I was surprised to see they had some pretty good sales going on. I actually made it out of there feeling like I got a pretty good deal.
Kat Kinzer
I love the Wedge! They sell real, wholesome, quality food. Their produce is spectacular. Prices aren't as low as bargain healthfood stores, but the quality the variety of options are far greater.
You DON'T need a membership to shop there!
Daniel Garcia
I will be honest, I would give this place five stars if it wasn't soooooo expensive. Whole Foods prices with a good guy footprint, I wish its heart was open to those of us with smaller paychecks but the same political (let's face it, it is just that) leanings. Maybe a few items on special would have me shopping my conscience more.
mrs12302001
I regret using this store a little more after every visit. I’m unsure what use the is the cashier. They ring up the items, push your food sloppily down towards the bags where you must bag them yourself. There is no greeting from the cashier, who passes as a teenager. Minimal eye contact. Even less effort, in an overtly apathetic manner. This store should consider self checkout for cheaper production and drop the angsty-youth vibe or hire older adults who would love to have a job and treat the customer with common courtesy. They do have grass-fed beef that is reasonably priced, though.
Ty, C. Thompson
The staff are very helpful and the buffet is stellar! I can't recommend a better place to find local sourced items for your kitchen and home. You must try their organic goat and sheep's milk cheeses!
Elizabeth Robinson
The Wedge is one of my favorite stores in the Twin Cities and the only place I've found where I can pick up a quick gluten-free bakery treat that actually tastes good! Great fresh variety of produce here too, and a bulk spice heaven.
Don MacLeod
I have been a member for years and have shopped here since the 80's when it was in the old former 7-11. My favorite co-op in the Twin Cities. Lots of bulk items. Plenty of organic choices in every department. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Be sure you stop in and see the new remodel if you haven't been in for awhile.
Heather Palomo
Good tasting food, fresh meat, local cheese, great coffee bar, delicious pastries (except for the gluten free scone, it tastes like you're eating a stick of butter coated in baking soda), great variety of food for people of all types of diet restrictions. A little pricey for people who are low income, you can definitely only go there for a treat. A rotisserie chicken is about $12 but it's cage free and organic in comparison to the Walmart chicken $5 that's pumped full of hormones and sodium. The plus is that buying from the Wedge you are supporting local farmers and companies.
Jesse Simon
Being from Boulder Colo I am well familiar with the small co-op organic market vibe. I have lived and traveled all over the world and I can say this: WEDGE CO-OP IS THE BEST market I have ever shopped. The quality of staff and product are just amazing. The produce and meat, bakery and grocery are just hands down the best in the TC and in my opinion the country. Also a word on their member benefits are incredible. At Mississippi Market you have to bring in paper coupons which is arduous and time consuming. At Wedge the coupons are electronic. This is a big deal. Thank you for being in the 21st. Century.
Jake Redman
The juice bar inside is a reat spot if you need a from-scratch juice or smoothie. Pricey but good.
Sharon Ramirez
We've been hoing to The Wedge for decades, and the keep getting better and better
Produce is fresh, mostly organic, with much variety in choices. Often good at introducing new and different types of veggies and fruit to customers. Fabulous hot table with many choices. Their in-house bakery is fantastic.
Vishnu Priya
Wedge is your neighborhood coop and more. They do carry a few selections that are not available in coops around - from dairy to other health food choices.
Angie D
We love this place! Bulk section is outstanding. Produce is top notch! And on-tap kombucha is superb. We have loved every interaction we have had with staff over the years. Friendly and accommodating!
Kennedi Lea
Prices are simular to other organic based co-ops. There are many well marked locally made food products. The store is very neat and clean, a testament to how the employees feel about thier work place. There is a coffee shop and salad/soup bar for eating at the indoor or outdoor seating areas. This is a one story building, so it does not have elevators.
William King
Signing up for the members account is super worth it because you get a small discount every visit. You pay once or in installments and your a member for life with no renewal fees. Food is fresh, in fact that's the only place I shop to get my meat products.
Nate Sockness
Awesome place. Great great great fresh meat section. Good produce. Huge nut selection. Lots of natural, gluten free, dairy free options . Great friendly staff. Price is right!!!
Kelly Sjostrom
We are members so we love going here. The staff are great, they always have what we are looking for and their deli case is very yummy! A tad bit expensive but member discounts and knowing you are buying quality products make it all worth it!
Josh Becknell
Hopefully some day organics will not be a luxury item. Let's face it: co-ops have become just another kind of store with their own selection of brands. That said, The Wedge still remains a source of better quality meats, bulk goods, and some truly delicious things. As much as I can whine about the pricey produce, I can be grateful for some place that considers the source of things.
Jed Hanson
I really appreciate the quality, fresh produce selection here. Bread options are pretty good too, especially since they offer a variety of bagels from three different local bagelrys.
Forfold
Vegetarians! Stop here for a quick bite (the Popcorn Tofu Po'boy is amazing) or get some great groceries. They have a lot of veg or vegan options, and most of their options are organic/sourced better/etc; think like a better Whole Foods.
Parking is a little tight so it's probably best to walk or bike if you can, but if not the easiest way to park is to drive north up Lyndale and park in their back lot just past 22nd St.
Angie Kopylov
Excellent grocery selection. Products are fresh and sourced from local farmers when possible. I enjoy shopping from the bulk bins as well. One star off for price - very expensive.
Val Rosenbaum
Friendly, clean and well stocked! You should find what you are looking for. Great health and beauty supplies, too. Vitamins, supplements and natural soap and creams, etc...
Amara Chambers
I love shopping here. It would get five stars, but compared to some of the other co-ops around, the staff is not as friendly.
If you're a member at another co-op around town, don't forget to mention that to your cashier!
Kitty Kat
I’ve been going to the Wedge for a long time now. I love how they offer the option to be a member which has discounts and allows you to order cases of bulk items if you wish - saves on money/time.
I’m writing my review today because while I have done hot bar many times there today’s carnitas absolutely blew my mind! So delicious, they are mouth wateringly divine!! My taste buds are having a rollercoaster ride of thrills. I’m in heaven. Thank you Wedge!
Damon Brinson
We think the Wedge is the best cooperative in the Twin Cities. Their emphasis on local products really sets them apart. You can get dairy, eggs, meats, and (some) produce from local farms. It's a great place, just the right size, with friendly staff who are genuinely helpful. We've never felt any sort of condescension. (And the gluten-free bakery items are excellent!)
Dakota Hain
Great selection. Some stuff I can't find at Eastside (my go-to co-op). Their meat case is frickin' amazing.
Only thing I don't like is that a lot of things seem to be more expensive than Eastside.
Oh well. They have the flour that I want and they carry the extra strong ginger ale so I'll keep making the trek out here. And I'll probably keep finding things that I can't seem to find anywhere else.
susan russell freeman
Curbside pickup just gets better every week!
Turns out the Wedge staff is so much BETTER at choosing than I AM!
Hope this service continues far into the future
Many thanks and appreciation for your caring skilled team
MJ Berst
I love this place! They have a nice variety of healthy food as well as 2 classrooms that you can rent for various purposes. Staff is friendly and the fresh juices are tasty, too!
Keisha Josephs, PhD
This place is a reliable market for good food and organic eats. Grocers are always helpful and now there is a hot bar at this location as well. It's open late, making it very convenient for a late night snack run.
Madeleine Matt
An gorgeous, friendly co-op with a lot of local goods, organic produce, ready to eat food, a small but well curated gift section, and floral section (complete with air plants and mini ferns). Tons of bulk goods including spices, oil, nuts, grains, granola, soaps, etc. They sell kombucha starter as well. Try the keto granola!
Michael Karsh
I am co-op employee elsewhere so I like to see what the big dogs are doing. Kosher cheeses, produce so-so, and a lots of fun products on the shelves. I have shopped there over 30 years.
Endeavor
This store is awesome!!! I work with Cathy L. In Colorado and she told me all about her work her before the move and what a great place this is! It looks amazing and I hope to visit someday. What a beautiful establishment.
Mani Fest
I have loved this place since 2006. Great quality and so many surprises if you are into high quality organic treats. My daughter loves it too. It is one of our fav places to go together after running errands in Mpls.
Chris Lance
Love my co-op! A wide variety of foods catering to many diets. Grateful that they have produce bags, bulk bags, and cafe wear that are all compostable!
Monica Calhoun
The Wedge has a great selection of healthy foods and brands you won't find at a chain like Cub. I love going to the Wedge for organic mayo, all beef hot dogs, veggie burgers, chicken patties, organic celery (actually priced less than Cub) and sugar free ketchup. The service is great too!
Katie Jones
The Wedge has friendly staff, the local and organic produce I'm looking for, and I love the small grocery atmosphere. It has everything I need and isn't overwhelming like large box grocery stores. I also like seeing the diversity of people who shop there from hippies with dreads to health conscious moms to Somalis shopping locally to millennials, professionals, retirees and everyone in between.
Ms Campbell
I love the Co op only place I feel home. Always greeted and associates are so helpful. Food is grown local, organic, lots of essential oils, vitamins that are plant based. That is my one stop shop. My children love being apart of the kids club free fruit Everytime we go.. better than whole foods trader Joe's Walmart everywhere. Only place I truly like spending my money. I commute 30 mins there at least 3 times a week. Well worth it
Mary Gast
My first time shopping at Wedge was so that I could pick up a lamb loin. Nobody else would butcher the cut for me that I called, but these guys were happy to do it! You have to pay for the pre-butchered cut weight but that's too be expected. Great meat dept staff and really awesome selection of will priced products.
Laura Schwarz
The new remodel is EXCELLENT. The store has a great flow now. Love the variety of fresh foods and earth-conscience goods. Good coffee, great seating for lunch!
O Stremple
Nice store. Good selection & staff. Rumored to be pricey, even for a co-op, but I haven't price checked. Parking lot is often a pain & I prefer the Seward co-ops for ease of parking, less crowds, & the culture.
Sarah Fox
I would give 5 stars but some things they sell here are really overpriced in my opinion and I feel like as a co-op they should work to make things as affordable as possible.
Now for the good things: they have the best eggs I’ve ever tasted. I will never go back to non-organic, white eggs again. I’ve learned that the ones with speckles on them and the darker brown they are, the better quality that egg is. They have a spot where you can fill up a carton of eggs yourself so you get to pick exactly the kind of eggs you want, and it saves you some $ to do it this way too.
Their juice/smoothie bar (although very expensive) is delicious and it’s fun to pick out which “boosts” to add if you’re getting a smoothie, though be warned that some boosts change the flavor of your smoothies. The cold-pressed watermelon juice in particular is also delicious.
You’ll find many, many brands of food items here that you won’t find anywhere else, which can be annoying since the Wedge can be difficult to drive to sometimes since it’s so close to Franklin and traffic builds up over there often, but I’ve discovered ruffle chips made out of sweet potatoes that are perhaps more delicious than the real thing (and much crunchier), as well as potato chips made with avocado oil, again very tasty (and avocado oil is really good for you). I think even the junk food that one can buy here is probably better than any junk food one could buy anywhere else!
The last thing I want to mention is their array of supplements, vitamins & minerals. For instance say you want some Tumeric. They have it in pill form, with many different manufacturers to choose from. They have Tumeric in its raw powdered form in Jars so you can measure out how much you want yourself. They also sell Tumeric in liquid tinctures that you can use to add droplets to your tea to help relieve pain or what have you. They have literally everything in every way and they just started selling CBD now in various forms too, like a balm that you put directly on your skin, a tincture, and several other items I can’t recall off hand since those products are relatively new. They also sell so many essential oils it’ll make you dizzy. They are missing Sweet Marjorim though, which is my personal favorite! Anyways I’ll never stop shopping here. I didn’t even get started on their pastries 👌👌!
Jamila Hakam
Really has the feel of a neighborhood grocery store. Fresh produce, meat and fish, and lots of convenient healthy options. Some items can be pricey, but overall good value for money.
Kodi Hoffarth
The employees are the Best! They are courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. We've been members for over a decade, and even though we've moved farther away, we still drive into Mpls just to shop here.
Audrey Sheffield
New interior and exterior! The remodel has opened up the store giving it a wonderful, spacious feel. Finally, customer seating inside, and new this summer, patio seating out the south side door. You won't be disappointed with this new Wedge!
Christina Warner
Love the Wedge! The produce can be pricey, but you get what you pay for. Look for sale items and compare to other groceries if you are in a budget. New salad bar and hot foods are wonderful!
Alexander Schwartz
Amazing redesign. Some of the best, healthiest, most arcane, cosmopolitan ingredients in the Twin Cities Area. Prices are great and customer service is second to none. Very convenient location right off of 94 for convenient access for those commuting from and to the Suburbs.
Camellia Kalra
Good produce. I also like anything snack-like and their makeup area. They're helpful for figuring out which homeopathic meds to take for a cold, etc. I love that we have all these options handy while living in Minneapolis: co-ops vs Whole Foods vs Present Moment vs other options.
Grocery-wise they're kinda spendy and even if you're a member, it might not add up. I really don't think it makes sense for a family of four that shops a lot. Costco and aldi are more feasible.
Gary Morgan
Looking at all the 5-star ratings for the Wedge, I know I'll be in the minority. I think the Wedge is a good co-op. Certainly they have a great selection (I really like their bulk nut butters.) But the environment can make for a less than pleasant experience.
The Wedge has just about everything you would want from a co-op. That said, aisles are tight and if you have to drive, the parking situation is pretty bad. It's usually crowded. When I want a better co-op experience, and it's on the way, I prefer stopping by The Seward.
The Wedge is in my neighborhood and I am a member.
Kim S
Sprouted tofu burgers are the health nut bomb. Nice fresh herbal selection including fresh basil. You should see their tea selection it is right next to the coffee though, a crowded place that sometimes caters to its members. Prices seem to rise constantly and do agree that customers as well as employees can be disagreeable considering we should all be able to eat organically free from mother earth. Should I call this the Yuppie Organic Attitude or the Yuppie Orgy Attitude? I don't know?
Peter Eastvold
I traveled 50 minutes to pick up some beef on sale that we were told had no limit. When I got there there was a limit of four, but the customer service guy took pity on me and allowed me to stock up for me and the other families I had come for.
J Waterous
The Wedge Community Co-op is a friendly place close to home. Organic is a constant here and there is support for organic farming built in to the prices. I'm a member of the Co - op and that earns me a discount at the checkout. There's a buffet by the pound and a dining area with a view of the traffic on Lyndale Are.
Lisa T
I've shopped at the Wedge for over 10 years. Their recent remodel has made me fall in love with the Wedge all over again. Although I recently moved out of the area and do my regular shopping at another co-op now, I like to make a trip into Minneapolis to visit the Wedge every once in a while. They have the freshest organic produce in the Twin Cities, awesome coffee and juice bar, awesome deli sandwiches, awesome people and employees, and awesome vibe. Places like this are what make Minnesota special, especially in cold winter months.
Claudia Jennings
Friend, helpful staff. Great organic produce selection. Pretty good bakery. Excellent non-dairy soft-serve, cheese counter, and health and beauty staff.
Josiah Owen
Trying to cut back on meat and dairy? This place has all you need. Get the Seitan from Ortons. It's great! Tons of Herbal extracts and essential oils too. For the meat eaters they do have a remarkable butcher.
John Holman
We've been members of the Wedge for many years. Great coop with wonderful selections of organic foods. The deli is also terrific.
Angela Mertz
One of the best co-ops in Minneapolis. The recent remodel offers an eating area and espresso/juice bar. Fresh baked goods, amazing bulk section and tons of grab and go lunch/dinner options.
Alison Levy
One of the best co-ops I've ever visited. I visit the local co-op in any city I pass through. The prepared foods here alone are worth the trip. Largest selection I've seen in a co-op for other grocery as well.
Erin M
The deli and hot bar were better before the remodel. I miss the mango curried seitan and seitan stew. I still love their smoothies and shakes though. 3.5 stars until they get my old favorites back.
Child Of Universe
This 5 star review is specifically for Abby at the butcher shop.
Thank you for the hospitality.
When one is at piece with life it shows.
Nance B.
Still a tight parking spot, but, always manage to find a spot. Walked in and found an avacado holder,....ya know the kind you can put that other half in so it doesn't spoil?
BONUS!!! Grabbed some hempeh and hempseed bread and out the door. Always a nice place to stop in anytime I am in the area.
patty levin
I love the selection of natural products and organic products. I could shop here all day!
Jacob Johnston
They got a coffee shop. They got a deli. I have everything you need. I buy all my food from co-ops. They have some really good hot food.
Patrick Broderick
Great place to shop for all types of specialty items. Working there sucks your soul dry, though. Why? Because everyone thinks you owe them the world since they buy sooOoOoo ethically.
Sigal Stein
They do care about quality. And I benefited from their educational magazines. Once you go organic it's hard to go back.... nothing else tastes right. They gave me opportunities to try organic produce and products and I have stuck to those.
Molly Reisman
No matter where I shop, I'd always prefer to be at the Wedge. They have the best organic produce in the Twin Cities and pretty much everything else you need for dinner. Having access to a coop/grocery like this can spoil you for life.
Mandi Rian
Great for bulk. Huge section of dry goods and dry soup mixes. All of the fresh produce can be bought bulk too, even if it appears bundled.
Laura Gwinn
ALL the pros outweigh any cons of this place. They are super busy which does make parking annoying. But what do you expect in Uptown? I mean - come on...
They can be pretty expensive, but in all honesty and fairness, their prices are better than or equal to any other places rates for organic, local anything.
I used to frequent The Wedge when I lived in the neighborhood and things were better financially. They have an amazing bakery, vegan options, cheese section, meat section and produce. But what I really wanted to put out there was one experience in particular I had yesterday. I walked in to get a bag of bulk oats for $0.89/lb, having a lot of time, but very little money to spend (things have been rough since I had my baby 6 months ago), I was on my way to the food shelf in uptown that doesn't open until 5:00. But I saw a sign that says they accept Wic checks. I thought-there's no way they have all the Wic approved items...
But I checked and lo and behold, they had Wic approved eggs, milk, juice, produce - So I got out my checks and started shopping. They had everything I needed, except the one brand of Wic-approved black beans was out. Having a can of garbanzo beans at home already and a husband to feed who won't eat any beans at all except black beans, I asked customer service if they had any more in stock. She went to check and got a store manager to come check things out, who helped me find everything else left on my checks while we waited for her to come back. They were totally out of that one kind of beans, but they were so set on getting me helped out they just let me get a different kind and had a cashier override it for me.
THEN - The stupid oats I originally came in for messed up the purchase (Damn WIC for being so damn picky and complicated). The whole time they were trying to figure it out, they were so helpful, patient, kind and not once did I feel judged for using WIC in the first place, which happens all too often. I wish I'd thought to get their names, but they know who they are. I hope they read this.
To the staff at The Wedge - THANK YOU!!! <3
Michelle Parker
Fresh, healthy food is so important, especially in this pandemic. The wedge offers healthy choices to nourish our bodies. A little costly, but well worth a healthy lifestyle.
Molly Lawrence
Incredible selection of local and organic produce and other products! As a non-local and enthusiastic co-op shopper, the bulk section was the best I have seen at any co-op across the U.S. Well done!
Duccio Mondanelli
Love this hyper local, eco conscious supermarket. A little pricier than other big chains but you get what you're paying for. Amazing selection of cheeses by the way!
bridge d
"The Wedge" is a simply brilliant Co-op. I've traveled a lot, and lived in different states so being health and earth conscious, 'finding the co-op' is always high on my agenda. The Wedge is absolutely world-class. The selection, the care, the quality, the long-term employees, the reliability.. I cannot say enough positive about this co-op. FIND YOUR WAY THERE when in Minneapolis. Make it your go-to if you live here.
Samantha Criss
I had a wonderful time here😁. I have to come go back and try there fresh cooked Bakery goodies😋. Plus, yummy food 🤗 …
Will Matthews
Really cool Co-Op with great selection and staff. The parking here is an atrocious mess though. Prices were reasonable, and they had every cashier open getting customers through as fast as possible.
Gavin Deming
Appreciated a grocer that provided conscientious goods that also catered to our family's diet as we needed items and were visiting from out of town.
Kayla Christensen
Amazing selection of whole foods and other grocery items, plus when you inevitable get a bit hungry from all that shopping, they have a restaurant! The smoked turkey sandwich is amazing.
Zach Kagan
It’s your uptown neighborhood co-op — with some additional frills. Coconut soft service ice cream, full fledged cheese section, an actual bakery, meat dept. and hot foods. Well, some of that has taken a break during covid but they’ve been really good about social distancing. Most of the time I’ve popped in for a thing of ice cream and a box of lacroix, and it gets the job done.
Eric Ellefson
My favorite coop in the Twin Cities. And now with the remodel it's even better. Greater aisles, more displays. The butcher makes some tasty brats as well.
Peter Dinh
I love the updated deli. Fresh food and variety. The store has a brighter feeling than before. The store staff are diverse and friendly, reflective of the neighborhood.
Ryan Gopaul
Wedge is awesome like Chipotle that is committed to Healthy Eating.
A good organization that cares about you and I.
Not the bottom dollar, although you would think that co-ops would be cheaper since they use less production and less chemicals in food processing.
Like Farm to table: why is natural foods so spendy? when the process of bringing raw goads to the market is easier than spraying stuff with Chemicals.
Gretchen Gustafson
Amazing, local products and produce! Knowledgeable staff and there's always something new. Only reason for 4 stars is parking, as it's quite difficult, but dealing with it is so worth it!
Christy Willoughby
Their prepared foods are phenomenal- including their desserts.
My favorite place to grocery shop. Since becoming a regular, everyplace that is not here makes me grouchy.
A Dempsey
Very cool community coop. They have so many vegan items, the produce was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I shop there regularly.
Sallie Haugen
We love the wedge. Has gotten harder to go since I’ve had kids & the stores a bit of a hike from Robbinsdale. Beautiful store though, great remodel a few yrs ago.
Matthew Portwood (Yoga Matt)
This is one of the oldest co-ops in the Twin Cities. They are dedicated to providing local produce, and supporting local people. They have the best greens And the widest selection of fruits, anywhere in the Twin Cities.
Taras Rafa
Excellent healthy food choices and very competitive pricing. This coop serves better food and better pricing combination, then any chain store or Whole Foods arround.
A A
I like this place. I don't buy groceries here, because I live too far away, but I do go here often for the coconut soft serve ice cream. That alone is worth the hour travel time.
Clint Everett
Too many conventional products.. the new layout is too busy and less comfortable of a flow.. membership benefits have been cut.. the only thing that keeps me coming back here, rather than only shopping at Good Earth in St.Cloud, is that "some" fresh produce is better maintained.. some products have great prices which stack with case orders.. and it's a convenient location
*Member owner for about 10 years
John Werner
They have everything you'd ever need. Great produce, bakery, coffee, got bar and soft serve. Awesome coop.
sarah baube
I usually go here for bulk items and hard to find mushrooms and such.
Ocoy Pearson
I had a couple things delivered and the customer service with the wedge, and instacart was excellent.
Tim Hall
Excellent selection I've been going here since it was a little tiny store you can find things here that are hard to find elsewhere
mary okolue
Excellent for all your organic foods and even better when I saw all vegan foods there. I'm loving it! I will be visiting again and that's great!
outside
Good local stuff but wish it didn't feel so bougie
Matt Cohen
A great place for fresh produce, bulk items, and more. Staff is extremely friendly. Parking lot is horrifyingly busy because the place is so popular. I always walk.
Cap Waters
It's a bit more expensive, but the meat and produce are great. Their deli is pretty excellent, too. It's a co-op, so as long as you account for all that entails it is pretty top notch.
Nate Wilson (Organic Squirrel)
This place is pretty cool. A little small, but not bad. Definitely has *most* of the organic products you're wanting to buy
Laura Schroeder
Clean, bright, healthy, abundance, variety...what more could you want from a grocery store...go
Zabet W (CC)
The wedge has changed a lot through the years. It's updated it looks very nice but the selections or the amount of selections rather are pretty much the same. the customer service and buffet were mediocre and a bit dry.
TONYA DAHL
I love this place. I only shop for local and organic.I have been all over the USA and this is by far my favorite store when I am in Minneapolis. Love the breads, local produce, juice bar and coffee.
Eowyn Ward
Pricey, but mostly good products. Local feel, good bakery, great selection of special dietary foods. (Gluten free, vegan, nut free)
Lisa Borneman
The gluten free scones have really improved lately. Blueberry today and apple coffee cake recently. I will be back!!
Candace Ballstadt
Delicious and safe gluten free food to go! I wish I lived closer, an hour and half drive, one way, shows my appreciation for their quality and slections

Great food but they don't give cash back for an EBT card.
Aileen Brown
Affordable and has a great selection of gluten-free and organic items. Very helpful and friendly employees!
Dana Rotegard
I am a long term 0wner-member. This is the most profitable grocery store per square foot in American. About ten years back I was sahopping for sushi ingredients. Some could be found at Lund's, others at Kowalski's, a few at Cub and Target. The Wedge was the only store on the near south-side that had everything I was looking for.
Sydney Wilcox
I wish I lived closer to this co-op! It is amazing. So much produce and bulk products and made-to-order options!
My one complaint is that it isn't very intuitively laid out, so it can get a little congested.
Jane Samborski
My first time in this store and everyone was so helpful and polite.
Very clean and organized.
Rik Olsen
I love love love my local co-op! Yeah, sure things are more expensive there but you are getting quality and ethical products. Also, BULK SPICES BRO. Can’t get better than that.
Marvie Chappell
Nice selection nice market but veggies were a bit Over priced since they are not the freshest. My veggies showed signs of deterioration when I made my salad.
lemon boy
Great selection, friendly staff. Shopped here my whole life. High quality stuff, can be pricey but worth it.

Great produce, bulk food, and meat counter. Throw in a strong offering of vitamins, bulk roots and herbs, and a deli with coffee, tap kombucha, and sandwich offerings and you have a stellar health emporium.

Definitely pricey, but I love the place, and you can find products that you can't elsewhere. I don't normally drink milk, but the fresh chocolate milk with the cream on top is great.

Jenna
The Wedge is a great co-op with a good selection of products and decent prices-- there are a bunch of things that are of better quality and better priced than at a chain grocery store (for example the bakery bread and the bulk lettuce greens)!
Lexi Jensen
So many healthy options to choose from! The produce is fresh and the staff are friendly. I would love to go again!
Doug Ganss
They do the homework so I know I'm eating healthy. They treat their employees well. They support local agriculture. Always my first choice when grocery shopping.

This place specializes in gluten-free and vegan items. It has items you won't find anywhere else in the Twin Cities. Be prepared to pay for it though...
Marshall Fischer
Haven't been to the wedge in several years having moved from Minneapolis drove right past it coming back. Somehow if that it was a good idea to paint it asphalt Gray on the outside. Sort of a strange redesign on the inside.
Teria Holmes
Fresh and organic fruits, vegetables, and meats; is what I like about the Wedge Co-op. They also have a good selection of bulk grain and herbs.

Great food but at a cost. Plus parking is somewhat overcrowded. Employees can seem pretentious, or snobby. Many white employees.

Love the wedge. The location is a deterrent because of the traffic and being cut off fro. Entering and exiting. Maybe another way some how to do that on a less busy street

Mawrgyn Roper
Best co-op in Minneapolis. Great bulk. Affordable produce. Staff is actually welcoming which isn't the case for all co-op's.

Flow is a disaster ... parking and store. Best if you can walk or bike. The quality of products and staff make up for the flow issues!
isn't what it is !
