Reviews of Dragon Star Oriental Foods
Alejandra Tobar Alatriz
Loved this place. Appreciated that masks were required. There’s a back part to the space that I also missed at first glance. There was a very nice person that somehow knew every inch of that store when I had questions. There is a great variety of delicious food items and helpful tools (ie pots, pans, bowls and more) for dining and gifting.

If you like weird and exotic foods at reasonable prices, don't hesitate to come here. They've got foods from all over, too! Not just Asian foods, they also carry African, Mexican, Halal middle eastern stuff. If you have an adventurous palate this is the place to be!!!! And yes, for most things, it won't break the bank! Come check it out!

This Asian grocery store is filled with an abundance of vegetables, ingredients from other countries (mainly Asia) but you will find many different types of ethnic spices, foods ingredients and more. This grocery store has made huge improvements from just the past 7 years. The mochi donut and Korean hot dog shops in here are great but is on the pricier side.
The aisles are easy to navigate through. Signs are above and are readable. If it's your first time here, really indulge yourself throughout the entire store as you can experience a wide range of different types of foods, kitchenware and snacks. Products are stocked so it won't be hard to find an empty shelf. If you're looking for something specific, it will take some time. There are plenty of meats and variety of meats with different cuts as well. The variety of seafood selections is a lot better than your chain stores. So, I would definitely look here for different types of seafood compared to your known chain stores.
No grocery store is perfect. Parking is limited and also very tight. If you have a big truck, it will be difficult to navigate through. There are handicap spots.
Employees are nice and helpful. Don't expect them to know where something is if it's hard for you to explain. so TAKE A PICTURE of that certain product and odds are they can guide you to the correct location.
Overall, this grocery store has been a part of this community for a VERY long time. We come here to get the ingredients, kitchenware, snacks, sauces, etc to stock. Would highly suggest coming here since the parking isn't as bad as Shuang Hur.

Astounding selection of noodles and other Asian goods. Really impressed to see the selection of Sabor spices. Shin Ramyun Black and some ice creams could be less expensive. Is Shin Black for 2x the price of regular Shin normal? Supply and demand, I guess?
Freya Junot
Great store. It's enormous so give yourself time enough to look around. They have an excellent selection and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Rosa choi
There are many foods from various Asian countries.
Especially, Korean food is prepared evenly. If you go up a few steps, there are more products.
Daniele Hagberg
Picked up a few grocery items, and wow is this grocery big!
Also had Mochi donuts, fresh, hot, and so scrumptious!
Yew Kar
The food was decent, service was ok. The kid was friendly but he doesn't seem to really know his job.... We Had to literally tell him things we wanted in order for him to do them. For example, my friend had her kid use the plate and fork and spoon she was using and she asked the guy for a plate, he just brought the plate, didn't realized we needed the fork and spoon too
Hawlucha
5 stars! What a great store! I went over to the store here and bought these lays potato chips that I never had before! Can't wait to try these flavor chips!
Karen Lunde
This may be the biggest Asian Food Store I've ever been to outside of Asia! If you're not from Asia, this is a great place to browse for Asian food and to try some in search of your favorites!
In mid-December 2020, they even sold this, from African cuisine: The most amazing Plantain Chips! They contain plantains and soybean oil, that's it, very healthy food. Made by "Three Sisters Snack," these fried plantains are really good! They're cut the long way, so that even the size of each piece is a surprise! They're chewy, and really tasty! These plantains are sold in 1-pound large bags or so, and well worth the price!
Ed Kim
My go-to spot for all my Asian groceries. Great selection, tons of products and the place I usually go if I'm looking for anything in particular. Also, the Mochi Donuts are pretty damn amazing!
Ka
This is one of the more affordable Asian grocery stores in town. They usually have everything I need and more. Just keep an eye out for quality.
Joaquin Muñoz
This place is incredible! It's like Costco but for food from every other country in the world. Amazing meat, produce and dried goods aisles. Tons for awesome stuff that you won't find at most chain food stores.
My favorite part are the amazing noodle, coffee and snacks aisles. I also doubled up on my chili sauce collection just by coming here. Come check it out, and get amazing food at great prices.
Mahaila
Favorite larger asian grocery! Also, has some Latin and African goods too. Worth to check out even just for mochi donuts !
Cookii “Crazii” Diaz
This place literally has a huge varietyo of different foods fresh, frozen, pantry and anything else u can imagine.
Tamara York-Tallman
Rambutan 😋🤭, Tamarind 😩🔥😍, veggie noodles, Mackerel, these wafers cookie things🤦🏿♀️😫👐🏿😝😋🥴 are too die for, my 😺🐈 likes the coconut wafers. These are some of the things we buy on a regular basis at our local Asian Market. My King is African but they have dang near every we need to make his African soups.
Those noodles OMG 😳 so good with vegetables 🥬🥑🫑🍆🧄🍜, thts wht I ate for lunch on this cold MN day. Yummy to my tummy.
Who doesn't love fresh ingredients and great snacks😋🤩. Go check this store out if you already haven't.
Jonathan Yang
My wife and I prefer this Asian store over every other one in the twin cities. We moved across town so we didn’t know they have a new deli area. They tend to keep their prices lower and I like that. One down side is that the lines here seem to always be incredibly long.
Emily Stone LandOf10KEats
Such a cool place!!!!! I will definitely be coming back! The candy selection is perfect, I could spend hours in here just looking at things. It is a great experience and i'm so glad I got to see this place. Even if you don't buy anything it's worth going in just to look. I highly recommend coming here and looking at all the candy! The person I came with gets seaweed and mushrooms from here all the time.
Sol “Papyrus” Badnews
A very expensive store with a lot of selection, which is more than I can say for the stores that are inner city. The staff have been conditioned to be a lot more polite and nice than they should have to be, as I saw them be very forgiving with rude customers. I hope they're getting paid worth their while.
Ann Bailey
Never been here before. It's full of interesting things, I wish I could have browsed longer but I was on a mission for work to find mochi. I did try a hot, fresh mochi donut. It was $2.50 & so delicious!! 🥰 my new favorite!! …
Ha'ani Whitlock
One of my favourite stores in the world; awesome stuff, amazing foods you can buy. Mochi doughnuts are also a thing there—not as good as mochi, but better than most doughnuts. I highly recommend visiting this store. Also, if you see baby octopus, try it. It is delicious.
It would be amazing if bubble tea and tri colour were available with the food, like how it was before the remodel.
Eric Guthrie
Everything you could need for most meals. There are some things you cannot get there, but it is fairly rare. I do most of my day to day shopping there and rarely is there something I need to go to another store for. This is my happy place, I love shopping there.
Stephanie Vang
This review is for the Korean corn dog shop inside Dragon Star. Potato corn dog was still doughy and undercooked. It tasted really weird and thought it was the cheese but picked it apart to find out that it wasn't fully cooked.
Yezong Vue
Live the variety of snacks and love that this could be a one stop shop for any meal prep needs. And love that this is wheelchair accessible
Drake Burke
Experience- great way to see lots of different items/groceries/treats from a variety of cultures. Lots of drink choices.
For groceries- Great ways to get loose spices, tea, treats, and fresh veggies like bell peppers
Price- solid pricing for their stuff
Some items (not cigarettes) had cancer warnings on them. So great for those items to be labeled for the consumer. It makes me wonder about the quality of others where I cannot read the labels.
Mai Nguyen
Fun place to frolick among sunflowers, bees, ladybugs, stinkbugs, and grab some local apples, and fresh eggs. I especially loved the apple cinnamon donuts and pickled asparagus. Those were delicious.
Fae Buczek
If you want good cheap groceries, go here. There's a produce section, snack section, fish section, meat section, pantry grains, and a ton of drinks. Plenty of sauces to pick from.
They have platterware and silverware for all kinds of dishes.
I got a pastry, two large wafer packages, and some soup spoons for $10
Would recommend coming back here.
B
If you are looking for any Asian ingredients or maybe snacks from. across the world this is a great place to come. Also while here shopping pick up some fresh mochi donuts 🍩 or maybe some fresh made Korean corn dogs. I recommend the all beef with cheetos and hot chicken sauce if you like spicy. Then you can wash it all down with bubble tea while you finish shopping. All this in one Asian grocery store.
Joy Kell
They have remodeled it and there are new foods! The layout is easy to navigate around. The staff helps when you ask.
Daniel Picard
Very nice Asian grocery store in St Paul.
The prices on the fresh produce were incredible! I dare say it would be hard to beat, especially considering the selection of specialty and hard to find items in your standard CUB or whatever other chain stores are in the area.
They also offer Korean hot dogs made fresh
AND
Minnesota's only fresh made mochi donuts onsite.
Definitely worth a stop!
Jim Blackwood
OK, the place is messy and smells bad, with pungent odor of old fish, and the checkout girls couldn’t wait to take my money, give me change, and turn their backs on me to continue talking . I get it. I am an outsider.
But go here for hard to find items, for low prices, and for adventure, and search disheveled shelves for hard to find products . Most staff in store barely speak any English, but they are friendly and helpful. They helped me find some excellent frozen Chinese pancakes that we used for Pekin Duck at home on Christmas Eve and a big bottle of Hoisin Sauce that Lunds was out of. While I was there, I scooped up a dozen different varieties of crackers and snacks. Fun!
The upstairs freezers are full of odd cuts and fish heads. They had the largest live crab I have ever seen in a store, too. Bigger than a basketball!
Go here for great prices and hard to find Asian food. And adventure.
Rule 64
What's not to love? Great selection of international foods. The fruits and vegetables can be a hit or miss but the prices make it ok. If it is your first time give yourself some time to explore, and pick 1 Asian recipe to gather food for. It will be overwhelming without a list and mission. The employees are nice friendly, and always willing to help!
Bas Barath
Awesome place for south east Asian foods. Able to find many Malaysian/Indonesian items for reasonable price. Good variety and the place doesn't "stink" like other similar places.
Roberto Cush
One of my favorite convenient and also bigger selection for food stores! They have a little bit of everything for everyone. Very nice and pleasant staff an they really do have a vast majority of everything I get in other places. Always trustworthy.
Adrienne Bain
The mochi donuts were delicious and fresh. The service was friendly and very helpful.
Deepa Nirmal
Enormous selection of Asian foods- from fresh vegetables to condiments. Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, you name it! Plus mochi donuts and Korean hot dogs! I love to walk around ethic grocery stores, it's like travel without a passport.
Nicole Pivec
Probably largest Asian grocery in St. Paul. United Noodle in Mpls. is comparable in size. Nice selection of produce, dry goods and hoards of junk food! Good selection of other ethnic cuisines too. We love the pretty dishware! Great selection and some of the same things I've seen in Chinatown gift stores in San Francisco but at a fraction of the price. We shop here a handful of times a year and stock up on our favorites!
Sherif Mohamed
It’s very convenient Asian store I believe you get A lot of option of seafood if you like fish it’s a good place to go , snacks , Mediteranean if you like spicy like me it’s a lot of variety it’s located on Dalle Street and Minnehaha Avenue in St. Paul Minnesota
Pachee Xiong
I was surprised by the size of this store! Super bug with a good variety of products to choose from. They are currently under some reconstruction but it was still easy to navigate. They carry these spicy seaweed snacks that are so addicting. Go get it before they run out!
april m
whoooo st paul now has a spot for Korean corndogs, inside dragon star foods. topping options: potato, hot cheetos, sesame seed, and ramen!! they also have an all beef hotdog choice.
they have fewer topping choices than cruncheese, but they use a yeasted batter which taste bomb! they also have other thangs like fried chicken, bubble tea, etc.
Heidi Kelly
Such variety! Super great little gem to try new things. Snacks, frozen food or Mochi donuts.
Dirk Koenig
Simply put, if you need something for any Asian dish you're planning to cook, they have it.
Michael Schwarz
A bit overwhelming for a middle aged Minnesota native, but the only place I can find things like fermented soy beans for home cooking real Asian meals. The only "problem" with the place is that it is vast and some things are really only "restaurant" sized.
Maria Walters
Great seafood here. Come check it out, lots of stuff here!
Nancy Jo Austin
I haven't been here in several years. What a joy to return! As usual I had to stop and look at far more things than I came in for. My husband came along this time. Now he understands why it takes me so long, there are so many fascinating things!
Nancy Slavik
Clean, friendly, organized. So much variety! Always had been one of my favorite stores in STP. Looks like Mochi donuts will also be opened in the store...when I went, it was still being set up.
A Murphy
Stopped in on a whim and was blown away by the size of the store. Huge selection of Asian foods more SE Asian than say Japanese. But even then there were several items of that. Worth a trip even if you are not looking for anything. I am sure you will find something to buy.
Tavar Sumrall
Clean! Usually stocked in what you need and always fresh produce!
Daniel Windingstad
Holy Canoli! This place is like a whole-a** adventure! There are tons of diverse foods and snacks here. If you want to make any dish that does not consist of basic American ingredients, come to this magical wonderland. You will embark on an adventure that will have Bilbo Baggins scoffing in envy. But above all.. Samwise Gamgee would simply die from the delicious taste of the Mochi Donuts. THEY HAVE MOCHI DONUTS! totally freaking awesome, but be careful, Samwise, you might need a shot of insulin if you eat too many! Three thumbs up!! I would cross the gates of Mordor to come here! Why am I using Lord of the Rings analogies?
Taste the Dragon!
Smaug's guarded treasures!
Cheers

I have been shopping at Dragon Star since 2008 or so and they have the largest grocery area of any Asian grocer I have shopped with. It is and has been under construction for a while inside and they are improving the space and shopping experience! My kids and I love to have Pho’ and I picked up everything I needed to make it for dinner this evening😁👌
Moriyah Arizona AtHeart Benjamin
Really appreciate the variety at Dragon Star.
My only 2 complaints are the OVERWHELMING fish smells and the very unfriendly staff. Made me sad. I get that everyone is stressed though. Life is hard.
I was hoping to learn some things on my trip to the market but not one employee was willing to even talk to me.
Go for the variety.
Hope the service is better on your trip.
Amber Dahl
Helpful staff. Extensive selection of global foods.
Amy Erving
Nice selection of Asian foods and products. They undergoing some remodeling and moving products around the store but it is easy to navigate and checkout fairly quickly. Usually weekends are busiest. Parking lot is a bit jammed at times. Friendly staff, but not all English fluent.
Relaxation Paradise
Great prices. Good lunch food.
Joseph Reynolds
solid food, I really liked my time here.
Bubba Ho-Tep
This place is awesome! HUGE selection and good prices, lots of seafood and crustaceans. Just don't bring your girlfriend there, she will drag you to the jewelry store that is in there and blow the tires off your credit card.
Kenzie Leigh
Really enjoyed this store and the selection of items is almost overwhelming. They had all the items I needed that I couldnt find any other place. Staff was very helpful and nice - especially given my first time navigating the establishment. I will definitely be back!
Sydney Sawatzke
Great deals on food! Plus a cute Korean corn dog and mochi donut shop inside!
H. M.
The place has changed a lot. It has expanded and still in the middle of remodeling, well stocked and lots of variety... overall, it looks great! As for prices, some stuff are still too pricey.
Maxwell Kuschel
Amazing selection, and even better mochi donuts. My favorite place to shop, I recommend going on a Saturday or Sunday as it seems to be right after a big restock.
Mickey Minaj
MOCHI DONUTS!!!!
They have these mochi donuts, man they are amazing, if you haven't had them you're missing out on this, I'm going to grab a dozen for the family today!
Carter Giguere
Fantastic grocery selection, well organized, helpful staff, and on top of that all great Korean corn dogs!
Larry Leigh
Our family is culturally diverse, so it's great to finally of found this place, can find everything from Japanese, Thai, Korean to African and Mexican, with everything in between. Great to have a bit of everything. Good protein section, with many hard to find cuts, produce is reasonable with a good selection. Overall a good place.
Kay
I love it here. They’re still renovating certain areas which is coming along nicely. They have a lot of variety in terms of food and I can’t wait for their donut mochi store to open up!
Cindy Ong
Lots of selections of Asian food and groceries and many varieties.
Aryaman - Anime on Piano
Absolutely great and wonderful variety of choice. Prices are quite great too. Staff was incredibly helpful and sweet, made my otherwise stressful day better. If I lived nearby I'd probably do all my grocery shopping there.
Alex Rudie
There are so many fun finds in this place! From fresh foods and veggies, endless noodles, more fish varieties than i know what to do with, and tasty treats.
Kim Owens
Pretty good selection. Fair prices. They have Japanese Mochi donuts. Thumbs up on that!
David Rust
Inexpensive, high-quality, with more variety than any of the main-stream, large-scale, grocery chains around the Twin Cities! Honestly, I should buy everything here...
They always have excellent produce, hard-to-find items from China and Japan, and their newly renovated interior is so much nicer to navigate, than it was before!
A truly excellent market that stocks everything that you can't find at Cub or other large Supermarket chains.
MaiXee Vang
This place is okay. I like the variety of vegetables produce they have on stock, especially in the summertime and the variety of fruits. Love the noodles aisles cause of the variety of noodles but dang some of our favorite noodle have jump really high since COVID19 and that sucks cause I can still get it somewhere else for a lower price. Big difference when it was $13.99, now to $18.99 within 6-8 months.
Jessica S
If you haven't been here in awhile, get back and check it out - fresh vegetable section is really good and the store is organized well and clean.
Joy Coker
The reorg continues and can be annoying, as grocery items are frequently moved. Staff shortage also led to not buying fresh fish - no one available to cut it up. Used to be supper organized and neat.
RKFilms
Fantastic Asian market, meat prices are a little high but it's impossible to beat the low prices on spices, condiments, and oriental products around the globe
Marc Stern
Good produce selection. Has African, Middle Eastern and Indian dry goods sections as well as cookware and household goods in the back.
Lateeph Onikoro
Is a good place for food diversification. Asian. Africa, South America and other places. Good price. If you looking for perfect English speaking people go to University not grocery store.
Peter Yang
I remember shopping here almost 30 years ago. The new owners have started to really open up the floor space and and are quickly expanding. They have a good assortment of your usual Asian ethnic targeted goods. On top of that, they even sell many different models of Rice Cookers. Yes, you can buy a Zojirushi Rice Cooker in store.
sak shar
Unique oriental store where you can buy almost every south east asian groceries. Prices are very reasonable and service is very friendly. The store is not nicely organized but friendly staffs are more than happy to find that items that we need. The deli inside the store also serve made to order Papaya salads , soups, and Vietnamese sandwiches. Free parking on site , make sure to lock your car, however.
E E
This is a fun store. It has a rich cultural atmosphere. Most of its products are Asian but there are Latino, African, Indian, and other foods. Sure there are smells, but the products are actually good quality and well organized. The staff were very helpful. The kitchen section has a wide variety and some good deals. I was happy to find gallon cans of coconut milk and cream. This is a great place to stock up on staples like rice and noodles, get cheap herbs or exotic fruits and veggies, or just wander into and buy a random packaged snack.
MotorT 3521
Pros: Good shopping place for Asian ingredients. They have alot of options and brand to choose from.
Con: The bathroom looks unsanitary or not cleaned often.
Marlon Weiss
Hard to find single soft drinks versus case. Mochi donuts tempting. Hot dogs tempting. Lots of snacks available.
Michael O'Leary
This place has a huge selection of Asian food, including a wonderful fresh produce section. Prices are great. It's well organized and the staff is happy to help. One of St Paul's grocery store gems.
L
Nice place to shop. The staff were really helpful! My mom and I were assisted by employees throughout the store.
The girl working the register was great. Quiet, efficient, and fast.
The store does immediately hit you with a fishy smell but once you get inside you only notice it around the seafood area.
Marcus Gores
This place has been under construction for as long as i can remember which is a bit inconvenient since everything is in a different spot ever time I'm there. But I think it has gotten a litte better lately. They pretty much have everything you could need in terms of Asian foods. Very convenient
Julie Lo
My family’s go to Asian grocery store. They always have good selections but they keep moving the items and changing the layout so it’s confusing to find certain items now. Honestly the original layout was perfect. Not sure why they keep changing it.
Pabita Dhungel
Very versatile store with range of items for Asian , American community. Good range of lamb meat. Would love it more if more organized and clear mentioned price of the item and little more hygiene.
Claire McManmon
Great experience shopping there. They have many varieties of food and hard to find brands. The store is much larger than it looks. Not the most organized but the staff are all very friendly and willing to help.
Del O'Loughlin
This is my favorite Asian grocery store. My wife and I often visit here if we are looking for something we need for a new meal we are going to cook. There is a great variety of cuisines represented, and rarely are we not able to find what we are looking for, and if we are having a hard time the people working there are usually very helpful finding stuff. The only thing I wish is that they did not use styrofoam treats for so much of their fresh stuff.
kimmy Vega
I've been coming here since I was young and arrived to Minnesota 15+ years and they a have good and affordable assortment of Asian and Hispanic items! Highly recommend... Oh and keep in mind they have lots of different fruit jellies and delicious candy!
Sean Hsiung
This place has the largest collection of ethnic foods in the twin cities, period. Yesterday alone, I've bought goat tripe, Chilean abalone, Mexican conch, snacks with quail eggs & baby squid, and also self-heating instant tomato beef hot pot. You will be surprised what you can find here. Price is generally a little higher than other asian grocery stores though.
Vanlisha Hobson
It was kind of hard to find things, since they're remodeling. But eventually, I found what I was looking for and more. I was looked over when waiting in line at the seafood counter....
Best part of my visit, my cashier was super nice, had a warm greeting snd welcoming smile.
Abdullah Almamun
We love shipping here as the staff always takes good care of us. Today we were in produce looking at watermelons and the produce worker Mo overheard my wife lamenting the last watermelon we bought being not good. He quickly jumped in and showed me the freshest batch then wrote up a note do we could get it for free. Amazing service.Great place, clean, helpful staff, nice bathrooms. Just came there & spent $40 there. Nice enough facilities & it is a nearby store to me. Just went through there now & had EXCELLENT service yet again.
Will Matthews
My go to place for authentic Asian and Latino ingredients. A fun little grocery store, with superb pricing, will get you everything you need to finish your Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and many other styles of dishes. They have a great fish market for traditional fishes, and they have more rice and ramen noodles then you will ever be used in a life time. Great trip every time I can get out here!
Shelisa Demuth
this is my favorite market for Asian foods in the twin cities. they carry a wide selection of dry, frozen and fresh goods. easy to shop, parking made simple in the lot out front/side and the location is close to I-94. not 5 stars only because it doesn't smell great. everything else is on point!
John Walker
Dragon Star has an amazing selection of groceries .
Harry Dean
I come here for the awesome food!
Mohamad Khouli
Great selection of Asian, Middle Eastern, and Indian groceries and produce. Very highly recommend to visit!!
Team Spirits
This place always had great Asian foods for the taking. I love their Vietnamese sandwich and fried tilapia fish. Also they had some really nice workers there too, all mostly consist of young adults with polite attitude. I love how they even bag my stuff for me after they ring them too. I also respect them for lending a hand for my parents whenever they bought rice there. Very helpful and generous service indeed.
Jacob Lynn
Great selection of produce and meats, lots of cheaper/less processed cuts you cannot get at regular grocery stores. More varieties of fresh vegetables than I have ever seen, it a crazy. They also have a great selection of Mexican staples in addition to all the asian staples. Great ramen selection as well. Even if you do not cook Asian food regularly, this is one of the best places to shop for fresh meat and veggies.
Nancy Y
Variety of food!!! Great place to shop Asian...prices are comparable to other Asian grocery stores. Fresh veggies. Variety of fruits. Variety of Asian noodles. Variety of rice...sweet(sticky) and jasmine. All sorts of Asian sauces.
Jessica
I love coming here for asian groceries. Lots of variety. The donut place is a huge plus.
Peter Lamm
A really comprehensive Asian grocery store with well known products and brands from almost anywhere in Asia. But in addition you will find sections for Mexican, Caribbean, African and so on.
Really good fresh produce and meats department, you can also ask if don't see what you really want.
One of my favorites is the section where freshly-made Asian meals and snacks are nicely packaged and ready to go. One of the few places where you can buy hard dough bread
Miranda Bergs
I really enjoy shopping here - an international selection of treats, snacks, and affordably priced produced and meats! They have some incredible imports from Japan, China, Taiwan, Central America.....seemingly everywhere and I am always up for trying something new! I enjoy supporting this local business and want to encourage people to shop here and expand their horizons!
Kristen Stacey
This place has cheap produce and meat that is very much edible. A mass amount of food to pick from, Hmong Sausages. But every time I go.... people who don't change gloves. Ever. The deli has some good food but then why is some of it straight up swimming in grease. Drain it before you serve it??
Davez Yin
Need more nicer workers. Most of them are rude.
Beto Garcia
Fabulous prices on really good fresh produce. Lots of variety. Lots of frozen and fresh seafood cheap. Love this place. Stop wrapping produce in plastic though, please. Covid doesn't spread that way.
casey heinisch
I do 90bpercent of my shopping here. Do yourself and go to the freezer section and buy a box of melona brand ice cream bars, any flavor, but honeydew is my favorite. While you are there grab a box of brown sugar Boba bars as well.
Shyam Nandigam
Decent enough asian store. Very big store and lots of varieties but there are no live fish here or may very less options for live fish
Peter Young
I'm not gonna lie, most people who aren't used to this place will be put off by the seafood smell inside. It is super, super overpowering. It seeps in to the lettuce and leafy greens. Your lettuce will smell like fish and I haven't found a way to neutralize that. Washing does nothing.
However, their seafood is excellent, their multicultural aisles are excellent, and their prices are excellent.
Just don't walk in expecting a Cub.
James Arroyo Miller
If you're willing to look, they probably have what you need.
They have so many sections... African, Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Etc.
The produce is great. The dry is expansive. The frozen is too. The meat options are great. Will be back.
E H
Everything you need in one store! I love that they also carry Mexican products. Get your sweet potatoes from here - they're huge! Most produce is better in quality and cheaper in price compared to other supermarkets.
Michele Davis
The products is usually fresh but couldn't find any fresh vegetables hopefully they have some next time. it's hard in this pandemic
mira Jang
I think this place is getting better with all the remodeling they're doing but still their produce section need help.

Good Store for Oriental Foods. Large variety of foods and competitive prices. Not always cheap though.
Camille Speck
This place is amazing! I'd do most of my grocery shopping here if I lived in the area. I'm from Seattle area and this place was more impressive than most of our Asian markets. The made-to-order papaya salad stand was icing on the cake.
L Jara
My go to Asian market. I used to live in the neighborhood so I would stop by all the time. Now that I live in NE Minneapolis I don’t go by as often but I try to when I can. Very large selection of Asian items, super cheap produce and meat. Love this place.
Sicheng Chu
We went there in August 2020. It still had a good amount of varieties of Asian products. People were practicing social distancing and the store was doing good job on controlling number of customers within the store.
Skaht Hansen
While I've always been fond of this place, it is hopelessly disorganized and there are always random items on shelves where they don't belong. The queues to check out are often long, meaning there's a wait to exit.
The selection, however, is unparalleled in the city. If you can tolerate the unkempt shelves and are willing to search for items, there are things offered here I've not seen elsewhere in the city.
If you're looking for a clean, organized shopping experience, though, there are better options.
Trike Jorjan
Workers are less bit helpful and talk all over the shop while staring you down like they wanna fight. Get your stuff and expect no help. Even the lady's up front is all talk, yip yap, and are clueless.
John Vang
Only place to get all the kinds of Asian ingredients and I'm talking about the hard to get ones. People complain that it smell but what do you expect from a store selling live seafood. You are an idiot if you can't even figure that out. You can't complain when they have the food you are looking for at affordable prices. Don't expect services to be top notch as it IS an Asian market and don't expect there to be public bathrooms. This ain't target or cub foods. If you got overdue groceries, that's on you for picking the rotted ones and not checking due dates. You come here to buy Asian ingredients. That's it. Compare to other Asian stores around st Paul, they can't beat this one in terms of ingredients and price. Only thing I would say bad about this place is the parking lot. But then again there is only so much space they can make from that area and due to customer filling the entire parking lot. Seriously. It's that popular and for good reason.
Jennifer Anderson
So big! Such variety of fresh and frozen foods of all types. Can easily find Japanese or Korean ingredients as well as some African or Hispanic ones. Great selection of cooking tools and dishes as well.
Tom Karl
Biggest Asian grocery store I've been to in the twin cities. Wide variety and good prices. Better know what you are looking for if you want to move in and out quickly. Otherwise spend a long time browsing to see what they have.
Siara E.
Great prices, not always the cleanest, but has a nice variety of produce. A couple of the things we wanted to purchase today were rotten (i.e. red bell peppers, mangoes, ginger), but for the most part it's a pretty solid place to get cheap and delicious vegetables.
Det Thammavongsa
After the renovation this place looks more organized and is generally cleaner. The two shops inside are a great addition as well.
James Cadwell
A great store to get pretty much anything you need, in terms of food or pots, pans and utensils for preparing food. They have a really good produce section in particular.
Phillip Jarosz
Alot of good natural fresh food
Samantha Saykao
This is one of the best Asian places to shop. They have a lot of variety, and the parking lot is spacious enough that you should be able to find a place to park. Their produce is okay, but if you need both East Asian and SE Asian food items, you can find it here!
Pamela Armando Kobe Flores
We can find anything here. We love the options of Japanese foods. All kinds of beans Including Peruvian Frijoles and oils. We always come out with bags full of goodies!
Jeff Engle
Big market, lots of variety but layout was a little scattered.
NA 95
Great store reasonable price you can find a lot of oriental food, spices and many kinds of fish
Dean Ferguson
This place is pretty big but it need organizing. Like all business you will find good & not so good in dealing with staff. 2 of the staff didn't know what I was looking for. When I asked where the dikon root was, they said what is that. I'm asian most & I'm talking at least 85% should know what I'm asking for. Anyway, I will comeback but not for this root. Give this place a try the prices is responsible.
Nathaniel Chew
Great selection of supplies and snacks, very reasonable prices. Snagged a large non-stick wok for under $13. Staff very helpful if you can't find something you're looking for.
E
This store has any and every type of Asian (and a lot of Hispanic) food you could ever want. One trip in there and I was exhausted. What I thought was the entire store was only a third of their offering. They've turned the warehouse in the back into shopping isles, so you actually see everything the store has to offer. If you don't see it, they don't have it.
Brian Ashman
Nice selection of live fish, a very good price on garlic, and a lot of stuff that is culturaly specific such that I can't read the label. No one asian food store can carry everything some friends need to make specific dishes, but this is often one of the places one needs to go for a female blue crab or such.
5s 1s
It's ok. First time there. I feel like it's more expensive, and I would only give 3 stars for it, but for the fact that it has a lot of Korean food products. More so than Ha Tien. I'd go back to compare prices.
Lovely Thao
I love the papaya at this store and their selection of ramen noodles, hot pot meat cuts, snacks and noodle aisle. Check it out! However, parking can be a hassle when it's busy, usually around 6pm. Happy shopping! :)
Heather Spinar
I've been going here for about 2 years now (since I moved into the area) on a fairly regular basis and really enjoy this place. While a stereotypical Caucasian grocery-store-goer may be put off due to the smell, or dinginess of this store - don't be fooled, it's fab. Rice is very inexpensive here, the produce price is very good and while the seafood area could deal with some more TLC, I've always gotten good seafood here. Plus, I come at night and I see them cleaning regularly - which is quite nice.
I would say though the mislabeling or complete lack of pricing is sometimes annoying, but as in quite a few Asian markets I've been to - not unusual. Also - I will say if you do need help, as english is definately a second language here, I've been met on occasion with some rudeness. Not often - but it does happen.
Anyway, if you're not afraid of the unknown, try this place - It's better in price and quality than local American groceries!
Kuldip Maharjan
Good variety. Decent parking space.
Julia Fish
They usually have a huge selection of inexpensive produce.
It seems they are doing some remodeling now, so some aisles are closed off, but I can't wait to see the results when it's finished.
Art BanDit
There is so much variety here. A great selection of veggies and fruit, but an unrivaled selection of everything else. Skip shopping on amazon for rice vinegar and just go here. They even sell jade, jewelry, and have a killer candy Isle.
Gnemok Yaj
I was quite amazed at the selections and variety that they have. Everything from produce to kitchen utensils. So far from all the big Asian supermarkets within the metro area I think this is my favorite one-stop-shop for all my Asian goods.
Angelica Timbush
An absolute gem of a grocery store in St. Paul. Whether you're looking for speciality ingredients (pheasant, quail eggs, or live bass), candy, soda, or produce, this store has it all. Great service, as well.
The only issue I have with the store is with the organization. Items tend to repeat in the aisles (three aisles had the same brand/variety of fish sauce). But, that just means you get to explore more of the store!
Wayne McIrvin
Wide variety of international foods, this place has nearly anything you can think of to make almost any international cuisine. The limited parking makes it difficult to find a parking spot on a Saturday afternoon; however, once inside you spend a while browsing the store.
Julie Yang
Every time I go there, I always look at the kitchen items. (Lots of cool & useful products!) The store is dirty at some part of the store. Worker is not around much when need assisted. Parking can be bigger
Susan Johnson
We went there for the first time today and were surprised by the huge selection, the aisles went on endlessly. It was a bit overwhelming browsing when we didn't know exactly what we were looking for. If you have celiac or other sensitivity and need to be gluten-free this store had a lot to offer. We found gluten-free soy, hoisin, oyster and teriyaki sauce, bean curd skin, spring roll wrappers and Mexican sopas. We found a 10 pound bag of Swad gluten free chapati flour for $15. We even found an elusive bag of Job's tears, something we'd been looking for for years.
Would definitely recommend even though we took off a star for the store being a bit dirty, chaotic and disorganized, along with the unpleasant seafood smell. Regardless, we will be going back because of the amazing selection of great foods (not just oriental) that you can't get at regular grocery stores.
A K
Typical Asian store. But the produce section is mess! We could see a lot of vegetables rotting and having mould on it. Most people seemed like they were visiting this store for the meat, noodles, and spices. They have a lot of variety when it comes to noodles and rice! If you're looking for produce then go to Sun foods instead
Shannon Xiong
Great Asian market! There's TONS of products to choose from. Asian markets usually sell fish and fresh products, so there will be smells if you have never gone to an Asian market.
lil_cutie1 omana
My bottle of liquor fell and broke on me as soon as I walked of the store. And the liquor store assistant manager said that he couldn't help me in replacing it. But as soon as I was walking out I bumped into the own of Dragon Star and I told him what happened and offered to give me $20 to pay some of it. It was a $32 bottle and I didn't want to take it but he sincerely said I should and took it and went back to the liquor store and the assistant manager that said he could help ended up helping me to pay the rest of the bottle. I was super happy and grateful for them and they were really understanding and kinds.
Thank you again ❤
Kristen Evenson
I love this place for the fresh vegetables and great variety of asian foods. They also have a wonderful selection of fresh seafood. I've been able to find everything I need for my Chinese, Hmong, Thai, Cambodian, Vietnamese (SE asian) cuisines, but not for some others like Indian. They do also have some African and Central American foods thrown in for fun! They also have a small bakery with SE asian treats. Not to be missed!
kaustubh phalak
Place to get bean sauce, shrimp paste, pepper corns and variety of ingerdients you don't get in other super markets for sichuan and Vietnamese dishes. They have fresh fish counter too. Vegetables are not as fresh as I would like but there is a good variety.
Paul Tetreault
This one of the best Asian grocery stores in the Twin Cities. They've got it all: produce, meat, fish, spices, tea, cooking utensils, etc. Totally worth checking out especially if you're into international cooking and can't find what you want at the mainstream grocery stores.
Jonathan Posthuma
Dragon Star has a huge range of products from many different cuisines. There fresh produce, meat, and fish selection is excellent. It's a bit disorganized at times, but it's all there!
Minseo Hwang
Love the new renovation that they did especially, when they have the new addition... Mochi donuts and Korean corn dog... 👍🙂🥰 …
Rayjennae Bass
I love this place, it is a little untidy but that is because it looked like there was some reconstruction going on. But other than that they have everything thay I needed to buy for groceries.
Der Xiong
Great place for finding just what you need. However, I did get lost a few times after the expansion and as soon as I asked an employee for help--they will always point me in the right direction. Also Rice is cheapest here compare to the other Oriental grocery stores. I like their variety of food so much that if I ever needed anything, I would always stop by here!!
Marx Domah
It’s a great place for native ingredients. It’s got a huge selection of Asian and African food products. The environment tho, is not just the best. Quality of service is way too primitive for such large store.
Kirsten Olson
Amazing global foods store. Produce tends to be overripe, but the selection of international goods is large. This store does not have the depth of products that many other grocery stores do, but there is a large breadth.
Peter Fleischhacker
Full stop Asian centric grocery. Foods from everywhere. Great staff.
Anissa Phetdara
They have a great variety of everything from veggies, meats and spices. Gi during the week of you can. The weekend parking lot is INSANE. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY IF YOU DO FIND PARKING, YOU WILL HAVE A HELL OF A TIME GETTING OUT.
Andrew Sean
Dragon Star has a wide selection of products and the store is well maintained and clean. Their produce selection is great, with lots of variety and reasonable pricing. They have an entire back store with frozen goods and shelves of niche items.
Susan Burns
Huge store with an amazing selection of foods from all over the world, with a focus on Asia, and also Middle Eastern and Mexican products, as well as everyday American items.
They have a huge selection of fish and seafoods, as becomes apparent by the smell when you walk in the door.
Truly wonderful produce selection, where you can buy things like dragon fruit, taro root, bok choy, and just about anything.
A multicultural, multilingual wonderland!
Alison
This is one of the best Asian markets in the Twin Cities. They have some of the lowest prices on imported goods, the freshest selection of produce, and one of the widest arrays of asian foods in one central location. I have been looking for a market of this style since I moved back from Japan a few years ago.
I personally tend to frequent United Noodle more because I live closer and I cook more traditional Japanese food. Plus friends all kept mentioning that UN is the best and especially for Japanese ingredients. I would say that if you are looking strictly for Japanese style ingredients, United Noodle is a little bit easier to navigate because it is all in one section at their location. At Dragon Star everything is spread throughout. Many things are still there, but it just takes longer to find.
That being said, it is worth the drive to St. Paul for several reasons. The prices on many of their jarred sauces, soy sauce, and oils seem to average about $1 - $2 below United Noodle. In addition, their freezer section is MASSIVE. If you are looking for a certain type of frozen clam, crab, shrimp, or what have you, they have it here.
I was also highly impressed by their produce. Most of it was absolutely gorgeous and the prices are outrageously cheap. I was able to pick up three bunches of beautiful cilantro for 99 cents, thai basil for $2.00, and young coconuts for $2. They also have a great selection of more tropical fruits such as Star Fruit, Mangoes, Papayas, and various types of plums. The prices are very, very reasonable.
I do not purchase meat simply from a bad experience once with another asian market's meat section. The seafood selection however is quite extensive. They do have a few things that I'm a little wary of, such as buckets of shrimp you can help yourself too. They didn't have any ice and the buckets were not cold on my last visit. However, they have the same type of shrimp up at the counter so I picked some up there instead and they were wonderful. They also have a very good selection of various fish. I would like to try some of their live fish. At the time of this writing they had live Dungeness Crab for 10.99 lb and live lobster for 11.99 lb. In addition they also had lots of live catfish. The live specimens all looked to be in good shape and quite mobile, which is always a good sign.
Overall I would say if you do a lot of asian cooking that spans multiple cuisines, this is your place to go. If you get overwhelmed by confusing and loud markets, then maybe visit somewhere else instead. As some reviewers have stated, it does smell a bit fishy but honestly it is still worth the trip.
Kazoua Berry
I love coming here because its close to my home and they have all that I need for my family. They used to accept credit cards but now they only accept cards that take a pin number and cash and ebt. So make sure you know your pin number.
They also have deals. If you spend $100 you get a certain percentage off. Also they usually have deals like buy a certain bag of rice thats on sale and you get a free item thats listed on it.
I especially like their papaya salad and their bahnmi sandwhich made fresh in their deli area. Very friendly staff. They will help carry heavy bags of rice if you need help. Parking is plenty and free.
azkite
Great selection of snacks/drinks, a lot to choose from. Huge frozen section.
P Vang
This is my grandma favorite Asian grocery store AKA stinky store. Because of the reality smell of live seafood, all kinds of meat and all. I shop here when I'm near by... they have everything. Definitely check it out....
Carl Pond
Selection great, customer service dreadful. I dare you to find an associate who is curtious and helpful. Those associates at the registers are sullen and expressionless robots, famous for handing you your change without making eye contact. Judging by their attitude, the customers are there solely to irritate them.
Amy
Ton of options but soo confusing to get around. The set up is strange. The mochi donuts are fantastic
P H
Love this place for cheap ingredients and anything else you need under the sun, I live in Edina and make the trek over here whenever I need anything fun. Recently purchased a ton of snacks and drinks for a long road trip. Also probably 50 different types of fish sauce.
Jacob Bernstein
Massive grocery. Fresh produce, huge variety of protein, meat, fish. Hard to find imported items. Always improving and adding products. Kitchenware section too.
D Weiberg
Just average. I heard this was a great place to get Indo items and cheaper but we were not impressed. We will stick with United Noodle.
Beenjammin scott
I love this place. The ramen selection is amazing and chicken and beaf is really cheap. It does sometimes smell like fish here but thats because they sell fresh and live fish. Definitely worth a visit
Eamon
Was impressed by the quantity and variety of dry goods and frozen items at Dragon Star. However, the produce and meat section were quite lacking and the presentation of items made the quality and cleanliness of those items questionable. For those seeking hard to find items and require variety, I would recommend Dragon Star. However, for those looking for a better shopping experience (e.g., cleaner, more presentable, includes mini restaurant, etc) I would recommend United Noodles. You can't go wrong with either choice though, especially when your options are limited in the MSP area.
Miss Malone
This Market is well-stocked. but I did have a problem with the cashier I offer her my reuse cloth bags to put my groceries in and she refused to bag my food. not everyone wants to use plastic bags.
Marco Berriodi
Had a good selection, although everything is kind of haphazardly organized, making it difficult to find things if you haven't been there. The fresh produce is surprisingly good.
Toua Khang
Huge store, fresh produce, a great many variety of Asian products.
Ahmed Taher
There are a large selection of imported food and stuff. I would have given 5 star if not for the smell. They could have isolated the fish market in separate room.
Mark Staloch
Larger asian market with everything needed. Tend to get their fresh produce-bok choi, thai basil, peppers, mushrooms, bean sorouts. Meat and seafood also good value.
P. L. Boss
They have improved a bit on their customer service. But it will help if the greet customers. The shop equally needs to be ventilated most often to clear the air.
Jiten gori
Always a good place to find just about everything you need. The new meat section is clean! About the only place I can find fresh lime leaves.
Justin Ledo
I was super surprised at the full scale of the place. Plenty of food options and I had no idea there is a lot of going into making oriental food. I'm thinking about grabbing a cook book and resting out some recipes. I picked up a bunch of snack foods like shrimp crackers and lobster chips just because why not?
Mandy Cox
Dragon Star is a great neighborhood market. Produce is always fresh and prices are great! Aisles and Aisles of foods from all over the world. We've been going here for years and we love it!
the lovely Cleo
Good selection but i bought a couple boxes of treats to find that they were way past the expiration date and were way gross (didn't find out til i ate one) gross. But they have a wonderful fresh produce selection
The Ebony Princesses
Huge selection of foreign foods, feesh seafood, produce and new popup food options such as Japanese Corn Dogs
John Lo
The go-to asian store on the Northwest side of the metro. You can find just about anything oriental here. 4 stars because the deli area seems to only have hot food available between the afternoon hours.
ah man
Four stars for grocery store and zero star(if available) for customer service. The owner should installed self check out; cashiers they have are worthless at least few of them I came acrossed. Not a word no interaction with customers and they act customers are there to bother them. All they do is scan your food put in bags n that is all.
Kao Vang
It was hard to find parking. There were cars before us that came into the parking, Just to drive around and back out and away. Need parking.
Gene Johnson
One of the many Asia markets in St Paul. For the uninitiated, first impressions may be off-putting. In the front, veggies, meats, and a jewelry store. Venture into the huge warehouse in the back to find various bottles & canned goods, as well as, imported housewares from around the world.
Dayle Quigley
This place is amazing. They have everything you could possibly want and more. If you have never been, put it on your must visit list.
Amber Juliet
Quality matches the pricing, the variety of products is unmatched, staff are friendly, and I am a faithful customer who has been shopping at this store since I moved to St. Paul in 2012. There is a full fresh fish and seafood set of tanks, always a plus, and I have never been disappointed in my shopping.
kat vaj
This grocery store is very big. The meat is priced very reasonably. There are a lot of varieties of Asian plus Mexican food products.
Mao Xiong
Great place for all my tropical and foreign needs. Like papaya, Jack fruit, mangos, peach, Logan, lechee, sugarcane, apples and etc. Fresh herbs and veggies. Great prices! Nice workers! Check out the hot deli!
walter
I believe they have every grocery item to support your Asian cuisine cooking efforts.
Nic Jacobsen
Very authentic and i very much enjoyed it. There are a lot of authentic drinks though, so if that is specifically a goal, this is the place to go. Otherwise it is also a very functional supermarket.
Christopher Villegas
Huge Asian market!!! They have everything you need and more!
Minus a star for the cleanliness.
Patricia Young
Always busy, so good turn over on produce, fresh fish and seafood. Good selection of dry goods. I wish their deli served a wider variety of foods.
Luffy Zero
Local asian market. Has African and hispanic selections also. Not the cleanest but lots of variety with great prices. One of the best places to find variety of instant ramen for the college crowd.
Jason
It smells weird, but I'm Asian so I guess I'm used to it. pretty insane selection of everything. my favorites are Marie Sharp's hot sauce and Wisconsin farm raised pheasants. both are hard items to find.
Patrick O'Neil
Like, like, like this market. We get things in better quality, with better selection than the other place not far away.
Lloyd Lentz
Always love shopping here. One of the largest Asian markets in the twin cities. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Selection is overwhelming.
Paula Vang (Ruru_Nemuri)
Able to buy many things while they're on sale and not. Able to buy in bulk. Good snacks and condiments. Though i like the available meat choices and drinks.
Geo E
Super intimidating at first for someone who is not used to a market like this. But there is a lot of things to get here. Could easily spend a few hours looking around and shopping.
Ariel Lynne Wade (Warm Hearted Fox)
I've been a customer for a few years now and will always go back. Friendly staff always willing to help. Great selections of a variety of foods and great prices.
David Enyeart
Good selection of vegetables. The organization wasn't clear to me on my first visit, but there's a wide range of cuisines represented. I'll be back m
S . P
not a bad store, but with the whole Covid-19, there aren't as many employees approaching you, decent products, and it's got different varieties of food are there
Ryan B
Good selection of all your needs. Huge almost like wholesale style area in the rear of the building. My go to spot for ingredients when making an asian entree at home.
scott shimotsu
One of the largest asian supermarkets in the metro. Affordable produce and a wide variety of foods across major asian ethnic groups.
Alexandra Elliott
Great selection of food and many other items. Was so pleased to stumble upon this store on my way to a different market. This place is amazing!
Muhammad Algarhy
Pay attention to expiry dates... I posted a photo of a turmeric powder that has expired two years ago.
Kd Zeal
Bigger than it looks. You must try the boba, available in the deli area. Sip as you shop, with amazing flavors. They also sell unique candies and vegetables, and cheep spices.
Carlos Anthony da Cruz
Nice place to walk around and find the most unimaginable sauces and species. Be aventurous and creative or just get some Asian candy and the greatest variety of quick instant Ramen.
Natasha mancia
Its very big! So big i actually had trouble finding any of the things i was looking for. Out of all the employee's i saw out on the floor not one offered their help. I did ask for one of the things I was looking for but the worker didnt know where it was. Its a great place otherwise though.
Eric Musser
Huge store, it keeps going past the main store to a larger, warehouse type shopping area. Decent produce, awesome packaged goods. This is where I go for unique items and standby Asian comfort foods.
tony hoffman
One of the best asian markets in the cities. Here and united noodle in mpls are easily my favorites. Nice produce and very large grocery and meat/seafood sections. Great selection of ramens!
Rebecca Lee
They've got a good variety of foods and brands. The only thing is that it can be a bit busy most days and times, and the parking lot is small. You may have to drive around for a bit before finding a spot.
Kate
One of my favorite Asian supermarkets in Minnesota. I think you can find whatever you want in there, but you need to be patient and see carefully because it is so big😁 …
Linda McLoon
Lots of variety, but the place is rather dirty and oddly organized. However, if you need something, they will have it. Lots of frozen fish!
Audrey Kludtke
Huge place where you can find multi cultures food around.
Patricia Wiberg
Good Asian grocery store but it has the best Mochi donuts!!!
Nyango Melissa
Great selection of groceries including Mexican and African. Always fully stocked.
Bob Melson
If you are looking to cook Asian food at home go here, meat, fish, noodles, spices, candies, nuts it all here
Luisa Abeyta
A zillion things. Everything you could want. Reasonable prices. Hard to find things but staff is helpful so no problem. Checkout was crowded but got us all out in record time.
Wen Qu
This is the place you go if you need any Asian groceries. It's crowded and the cashier Lanes are very efficient. You can even get live seafoods over here. Highly recommend!
Joel Rogness
I love Asian grocery stores, and this one is, with the recent expansion, an Asian grocery cavern: it's huge. Go on a Saturday to check out the bins of seafood. Dragon Star seems to me to lean more Hmong, Thai and Vietnamese, whereas if you're looking for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean you might want to head over to United Noodle.
Estelle Wright
Fabukous selection, friendly team.
Paul Kisling
Fresh produce at the lowest prices around! And if course all the unique Asian products and things you've never seen or heard of!
Novlett Harding O'Neil
From a different country always find things that remind you of your home great place to shop
Crystal Green
I love the selection at this store but the prices can be a little inflated. There are 2 other Asian food stores down the street check them out first before going here.
Teng Yang
Great Oriental Store. Lots of products for reasonable price. As of this review they're going through some renovations in the back but it is still worth getting your products there.
Elizabeth Moldenhauer
Great market... beautiful produce, fruits, meats and seafood. Everything you may need for your Asian meal including the pots and pans. Best ever
Jim Piersol
Dragon Star is awesome. Huge selection of items at great prices with friendly staff There remodeling that is in progress looks amazing.
M S
It has many south east asian foods
Terry Mewhorter
Very nice store one of my friends told me about the store now I will drive more than 50 miles just to go there I like this store
Lindsey
Good place. Go here often when there's no other closer places. Parking is hard to find sometimes especially on weekends. But it's a decent oriental market just like any other.
David Bennett
Nice people and Great food
T R
Very Cool and Very Intimidating! If you are going for the first time take some time to explore and look at everything. It will also be a good idea to have an idea of what you need to keep on track because it is easy to get lost!
Marcel Dave Abriol
This is our go-to for all our Asian food needs. They have a variety of selections, and the place is spotless.
Emmanuel Akolly
Price have gone up drastically.
M P
Great variety of Asian grocery items. I mainly come here for great selection and prices on whole fish and tropical fruits and veggies.

A cultural experience for sure. Best place for huge produce, seafood, spices and groceries if you're looking for things to do Asian, Hispanic, and East Indian cooking.
David Yang
Great place. Def some hidden ingredient gems can be found here.
S H
Great place to buy fresh vegetables and fruits with more Asian choices. Seafoods have many different choices and somewhat fresh. The environment is ok.
Maichang Lor
has anything and everything you need, just needs more green vegetables varieties, and I'd there was a deli it would be better. prices are pretty decent
Justin Her Her
Bruh, they got seafoods. We got the last batch of cray fish. Getting ready for round 2 when they get back to us. They also got a 2nd level in the back. Cuties in this Sunfoods. Definitely coming back. Could use a mop though.
Robert Warbelton
Incredible selection, and the folks working there are SUPER NICE.
Virginia Sumihi

K “Dkdcare” T
They used to be really stocked up and clean but lately it's little different.
Elan Mumme
