Cub is moving in the right direction! I went yesterday to refill my 5-gallon water jug, and was browsing in the deli area and saw they had crayfish on ice. I cooked it last night and ate it this evening for dinner. It was simply delicious! And it was reasonably priced. I don't have to go to seafood store and buy in large quantity now. I am a satisfied and happy customer. 😊

Hi I have been going to this Cub foods since 1997, when I moved here to USA. The workers at this location have been so helpful and we became a family as well. I have 3 daughters that are all grown now and we still shop at this location and I’m so happy to see the renovations. Steve and Becky are so warm by always making sure to greet me with a smile and asking me how I am and my daughters. Over the years I’m grateful and proud to see your workers take pride in creating a atmosphere of loving family to their customers and even when English was hard for me they still took the time to be kind and open. Store has an intuitive layout for the most part, and they have good deals from time to time. Signing up for their rewards program automatically applies occasional discounts in their ads, so I would recommend doing that if you're planning on shopping here.

I'm writing this review specifically in regards to the Uptown Cub Pharmacy. I never thought I'd say that but the pharmacists there really go above and beyond. They accept prescriptions from my vet and make sure they always have the medications in stock. They have been fantastic and it is so convenient that I can get medications from my grocery store without worrying about whether or not they have it in stock. They remember me when I go in and ask about how my old dog is doing. They are always really fast to fill the prescriptions and let me know when I need new orders.

I almost want to give this place a 5 but the parking was not desireable, but once you are inside its beautiful!!! The store is exciting with a Deli, Hot Food, Sushi Bar, Coffee bar and Ice Cream Sundae counter. Its got all of my regular shopping items and brands. Roast Beef Ramen Noodles.... adorable cupcakes for Office Birthdays, deli sandwiches and Deli chicken! Weekends near the falls just got 10X Happy!

Surreal. Especially late at night. Still I'm honestly surprised the rating is so low -- and had a lot of fun reading them. If you look at most of the one-star ratings it may have been the person writing the rating who created the problem. Crowded at rush hour, but what grocery store isn't. Some of the cashiers are awesome. Especially Gaylin and all of the folks there early in the morning. Produce section is consistent and the staff there are always helpful if you have a question.

While everyone is focusing on negative aspects that arent relevent or true, we should be grateful that they opened the tent and allowed us access to the assential things we needed to get by without having to travel far out the way!!!! Everywhere you go, you'll frequent people panhandling, whether they are homeless, addicts, ect. Cub foods didnt hire them to beg from you, its a reality that you cant control so, stop using others as an excuse to blame for your shortcomings & mishaps!!!! I was grateful and thankful for the cub foods tent being up after everything was destroyed, and so should you!!!!

This grocer company is great but the produce sections in all Cub foods is not that great. A lot of 'b' quality fruits and vegetables. I can't stand how much they rely on big mega Corp factory processed meats that charge far more than what they should.

Terry at Cub Lake Street is the best manager ever. I asked for help shopping and Terry first grabbed a cart for me, he could see the basket I was lugging around wasn’t enough. He found exactly what I needed. The store was clean too

The Pharmacist actually paid for my prescription herself, when I couldn't afford the medication. But... this is an inner-city Cub. Not as nice as their suburban stores. Located in a very tough neighborhood, with many transient/homeless people. A recent murder at the store exit doors is not unexpected, but may have been prevented if security personnel had been in place to deal with the mentally unstable perpetrator.

Great place to stop for the essentials , always clean, with lot’s of friendly staff to answer questions . It was weird to get used to shopping in a tent at first, but now it just feels like running down to mini cub . If you are going for something very specific , you may want to call ahead to make sure they have it .

I was doing laundry next door at around 2am and not only was the checker lady nice and friendly but she got me cigarettes from another counter that so happened to actually be in stock! Yes people I smoke American Spirits the DARK BLUE pack which it seems no one seems to carry around here....so again thank you Cub Foods.

As a autistic person: very very busy during the day. Lots of people. But one of the only stores 24 hours right in that area and great for later night or early morning shopping. Avoid during the day with sensory and anxiety issues, shop late!

What is there to really say? The place is full of groceries, drinks, fresh stuff, canned stuff, employees and cash registers. I usually do self checkout without any issues. The place is usually jumping so prepare for a wait

The Cub I always use. They change their quick frozen meals section up a lot, so I don't have to eat the same thing over and over, which is nice. And they have the best damn store brand potstickers I've ever eaten. My one complaint is about the bakery- I love frosting, I really do, but the donuts are so damn messy to eat because the only part not slathered in frosting is underneath. You can have too much of a good thing, turns out.

For emergency stops for bread, milk, and eggs this is a cool convenience store. Best to use this as the drop off point to take the free bus to the northern store for a large scale shopping trip.

Night security was lacking sophistication, posturing himself with an imposing demeanor. Perhaps this was how he was trained and is necessary for the area, I don't know, but it certainly did not impress me much. However, the staff generally were very friendly and helpful.

Great place to shop for groceries and the deli is okay . The birthday cakes are okay to they'll decorate them if you tell them what you want written on the cake. And if you call Cub Foods you can special order stuff from the deli and order cakes special made cakes from the bakery.

I prefer to visit the store during the day. A friend of mine had his car hijacked in the evening. Hope the remodelling will include better lighting and improved security.

They have the BEST Apple Fritters in town! The staff that work when I shop are helpful, courteous and always happy! I only wish that they sold white chocolate Kit Kats.

One time, someone picked a fight with me in line. Another time, this lady was yelling at a dude for talking to her kid. Another time, a dude with an AR 15 pointed it at people and ran from the cops. The other day, there was a rap concert in the candy aisle. Also, a Burmese dude got robbed in the parking lot. The robber said someone was watching a car and would shoot him if he didn't give him money. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol. So many of these reviews seem like out of towners masquerading as "mpls guides." It's a cub foods that gets a lot of foot traffic. It could be cleaner but again, so much foot traffic. I try to walk here in the morning when it's far easier to shop. Oh... long lines at a lake street grocery store after 4pm? You gotta be kidding me people. Where do you come from? Their bakery and deli sections are decent. Actually, the bakery is quite good. The biggest problem with this location is that they don't stock Tempeh. Why why why??

I came here at 4am and a guy out front asked me for a ride to the gas station. he claimed to have a truck but I didn't see one. the security guard inside noticed that someone had accosted me and went out there to get rid of him

It was OK. The problems I encountered were not from the store/employees. I had a problem with the guy ahead of me taking my cart while I was checking out. But the cashier called someone over who brought another cart for me. Thanks for that.
