I never thought it was possible to love a gas station as much as I love this one, but I do. I will never go to any gas station in the area but this one. The staff and owner are always friendly and make an effort to get to know their customers. They have the coolest selection of beverages and locally sourced products as well as the best gas prices around.

Visiting from Chicago, this gas station is down the street from the French Medow restaurant where I dined. It is very clean and the first station I've visited to have organic food choices. Other products are available but its sweet to see healthy choices too. The cashier was friendly and smiled; told me I'll like the tuna sandwich. He himself had just eaten one. I decided I would get my gas here during my stay in MNPLS. Each time I've gone, the place is busy. Tonight is just as busy and the two cashiers are friendly and with smiles. That speaks volumns to this stations customer service, the price and the products. It may be small but it's packed in greatness.

Great gas station, great prices, and a great presence in the neighborhood. It's busy for good reason! (But I do miss the fabulous taco truck that used to be parked here all summer!!)

Updated review: had a billing error at the pump, was concerned about being charged twice. Emailed the address on the website and they reached out incredibly quickly. The issue did seem to resolve itself thankfully, but wanted to make sure I highlighted how quick and helpful they are. Thanks Lonnie!

I don’t know who I have become, leaving a review for a gas station, but here I am. I love this station, I love the snacks, and the service is great. It’s still a gas station, but idk something about this one is delightful.

Great neighborhood spot. Staff is funny and very helpful. Great selection of baked goods and obscure beverages. They also have the usual stuff. The only real con is that the awesome gas prices keep this place very busy. You may wait a couple of minutes for a pump during busy times. Also, they don't have our cat litter. I need that unscented clumping action! More specifically, my cat needs it. Other than that, this place is perfect.

This is my favorite gas station. Great staff and great customer service. If you bring your own cup you can get great coffee for $0.99 and you can always find other interesting product that you would not find at your typical gas station.

Stopped here to use the carwash before heading out of town. I didn't realize you had to stop before the line in order for the car wash to trigger so I ended up going through without it ever triggering. I told the cashier what happened and he was very nice about it. Gave me a refund and I got a separate code to try again. Car wash did a decent job for the price.

It may be a fleeting thought to consider that a gas station can be anything more than simply a gas station... When you come to realize the possibility that there "is" or could be a greatest gas station in the world, it begs the question. For me I had never considered the thought until I became a unique part of the 36Lyn family. Treated uniquely genuine by the entire team, and loving there micro Co-op style food and beverage offering. To me there is a greatest gas station in the world and it's in South Minneapolis at 36th and Lyndale!

Excellent service. The employees are really nice and we’re very helpful. They lead me to products that I couldn’t find on my own. They also swapped out my propane tank for me and did all the lifting. Excellent service.

Best gas station I’ve been to in the cities. From the outside it looks like standard BP, on the inside it’s local everything and some of the friendliest dudes I’ve met running the place. Love 36 Lyn!

Was at the 36 Lyn Refuel Station tonight and had the best experience of my life. Had an amazing time there, everything was awesome but the best part was this McCrae fellow... the guy with the long hair and toque. Give this man a raise! He made my night!

It’s always busy but there’s a reason! They often have some of the cheapest gas in town, and lots of options for beverages or a quick bite to eat inside. The only downer is that they charge you to fill up your tires. 4/5

The cheapest, best place to get gas.. Even cheaper than Sam's Club and you don't need a membership. It can get crowded so go at non peak times.

I just moved to the area and have been to a few other gas stations nearby and this one is by far the best in Minneapolis! The African-American gentleman, whom I believe(if not, should be) is the Manager does top notch personal service and runs the store very well!! So glad to have a locally owned business within blocks of my own house!! I highly recommend this place!!

This is the only place I fill up (and I live in Saint Paul). The gas is the cheapest in town and the employees are cool. They carry locally sourced products and pay a living wage -- it's one of those awesome places where you can save a buck and feel good about it. The only problem is that if you go during peak hours, it gets so crowded because it's clearly superior. Still, I'll wait in line behind 5+ cars...totally worth the wait.

Generally cheaper gas than nearby stations. Need to replace squeegees more frequently. No paper towels at pumps. No longer a working carwash. Basic merchandise selection. Small lot can get crowded at peak hours. Watch out for reckless ***holes using it as a red light bypass.

First convenience store/gas station I’ve ever been to that makes an effort to sell locally sourced products and fresh fruit, plus the gas prices are consistently the lowest citywide. The staff are very friendly and invested. It’s gotten a reputation in the local media for the local product sourcing and paying all of its staff a living wage. Pro tip: Go during off-peak times as the parking lot can be a bit of a bonanza. Pay at the pump still works even when the store is closed.

This has been my gas station of choice since I found it 5 years ago with the GasBuddy app. With very few exceptions, it has been the cheapest gas in South Minneapolis often being 10¢ cheaper than other stations within a mile.
