They have great prices on a variety of things especially if you buy in bulk. But I would say the quality of some of the produce isn't as great as some other places. But still all around great value I don't really shop anywhere else but maybe Aldi's.

I stopped in exclusively to buy ice as we were leaving on vacation. They didn't have any of the large ice bags I needed, so I ended up having to buy 8 small bags instead. It was an ok experience except for the representative behind the customer service desk, who was really nice.

I like this store a lot. The employees are very friendly and helpful. My only reason for four stars is I find a lot of expired items at this store. I think they might have to start paying attention to product when they are stocking new product?

Cheap meat, passable produce. Lots of Mexican fare which is great. It's never crowded which is really nice compared to pick and save. It's not trying to be a boutique store, so come with expectations of being able to get what you need and good sales when seasons allow.

Clean and neat store. Very few out of stocks. Cashiers are efficient and friendly. Prices are competitive. I wish their bakery was in a better location and you didn't need to pay separately. Very well managed store. Outshines the competition.

On balance, this is a reasonably good store. Among the positives: a. always plenty of parking near the store's two entrances; b. usually light crowds -- even, say, on Saturday afternoons; c. very good meat department -- far better than the equivalent in any branch of The Much Larger Grocery Chain Store; d. usually wide selection of brands to choose from throughout the store; and e. sale prices can be very competitive with other retailers. The negatives: a. non-sale prices tend to be rather high; b. personal care items (shavers; deodorant; tooth care) are all but non-existent; and c. layout of the store is such that finding certain items can be a challenge. But here's what stands out to me: the choice of music over the public address system. I've visited this store at least a dozen times in recent months -- and every time, I hear what, apparently, is SiriusXM's 80's channel. For me, that's a fine choice. But it's also clear, over those many visits, that the crowd here tends to skew older and Latino. Is that really the audience for such classics as Madonna's "Like A Virgin" or Duran Duran's "Hungry Like The Wolf"? Talk about misreading the room -- although there's little evidence that such a choice is deterring foot traffic here. Overall, I'd offer a qualified recommendation for this store.

Went here to get Gerber Amish chicken legs after calling and being assured that they were available, we discovered the same ploy a different non Amish brand offered. But on the upside the store was very aesthetically pleasing produce quality was good and we found everything else on sale in their ads. Prices on many items were better than we found at Maliki's so we will be switching to this one even though it is farther away

Store is in the process of rearranging some of the aisles so finding things you once knew the location of is a work in progress. Great meat prices. Love they started carrying Boars Head deli meat.

Cheaper than pick n save, no curbside pickup. Healthy variety of products, too many plastic bags at check out. Wide aisles make it easy to keep distance while shopping. Good beer selection and Mexican foods section.

I love this little grocery store. The bakery is awesome and the cashier's are really friendly. Their produce is really fresh and they have the best selection of food from other cultures and countries. I'd give them 5 stars if they delivered...but that's a really kinda petty. I'll probably give them 5 stars next time. ;)

The overall selection is more like 3.5 stars, but this is a good store for certain kinds of items. The produce section is fine but not outstanding. The deli is very good, and has great carnitas, cooked rice, and fried chicken. The meat department is light on seafood, but not bad for chicken and red meat. Also, the Pig often has lamb--something that Pick-n-Save on Holt no longer carries. Good variety of Mexican chorizo and Eastern European sausages. The Pig has standard canned/packaged goods, but the ethnic selections (Mexican and Polish, especially) are very good. Dairy and liquor are fine enough; the frozen food section is okay. I don't eat much candy, but aside from the usual mass-market suspects, there are some interesting candies from Poland and Mexico. The Pig isn't crowded like PNS often is, though sometimes there aren't many checkout stands open, either. The atmosphere is downscale, but that's part of the charm.

My favorite supermarket. The employees are excellent, it's the best place to buy meat, & great deals on produce, milk & eggs. They have great deli salads. And Issac, in the deli is a good man, I love their Asian chicken salad. Angel, in the produce dept. is excellent, & very knowledgeable. They ought to reduce their prices on other grocery items, such as canned goods.

It's a pretty good store if you buy what's on sale. I like the variety of ethnic foods that can be found. I am giving three stars because the employees at this location are terrible. They are always rude and arrogant. Recently we had an issue with a cashier. He was extremely unprofessional and should not be working in a service type job. Instead of arguing with customer's and refusing to bag their items, he needs to learn to bite his tongue and accept that the customer is always right even if you don't agree. Without customers you will not have a job. I spoke to the owner Sal about the cashier's unprofessional behavior and I hope he takes it into consideration with this employee and all others at this location. There are many stores to buy groceries from including those online and keeping customer's should be their number one concern.

Pros: 1) The staff is nice at this Piggly Wiggly. 2) Some of their deals can't be beat; it helps to keep their ads in your rotation to strike great pricing. 3) The rewards card makes it worth while if you're looking to save money on gas. 4) The Mexican bakery located within this Piggly Wiggly is a nice touch and offers a variety of authentic Mexican, freshly baked goods. Cons: 1) The produce isn't the greatest. Even after thoroughly inspecting all my fruits and veggies prior to purchasing them, which takes awhile, since you're going through items that are nearing their time, I've noticed produce from this Piggly Wiggly does not last long. Expect to use your products within one to two days of purchasing. 2) I do NOT buy meat/seafood from here. Reason being: though the deals are great on their meat/seafood, I've noticed that many of the packaged meats in the coolers look discolored/not so fresh. Same goes for the fish. I've bought steaks from here once; let's just say never again. 3) If you need to use the bathroom, avoid the ones here like the plague. I've used the bathrooms here numerous times on various days and they still look awfully disgusting. As it goes in the restaurant business, you can judge general cleanliness by how kept the bathrooms are; this is why I tend to avoid the "ready made" or "hot food" sections.

I like Piggly Wiggly! They really have a great selection, the aisles aren't crowded and they have human cashiers!!! That's one of the main reasons I wont shop at Pick n Save anymore, not only are they're prices high but you have to check your own food out, and bag it!

Sal's Piggly Wiggly in Bayview is one of my favorite places too shop, and I've been a long term shopper there because it's a family run business and the employees treat you like family. The prices are good and if you're a smart shopper and use the ad's your savings can really add up! Right now if you spend $50 they have a coupon for $10. Free money!!! Who doesn't like that. On most days there's a good chance that you will run into Sal the owner or Dave the store manager. Both are ready to help/ listen for comments good or bad.

I go to Piggly Wiggly for their bakery items, specifically their fresh bread and hamburger buns. The deli is very good as well. Their meat selection is also decent, and they recently marked their store brand milk to a daily price of $1.99. My issue with this store for years has been the mediocre staff, which is generally unfriendly and not helpful. This keeps this store in my 2nd tier of grocery store choices.

They have lots of Hispanic foods, the reason I went there, hard to find Hispanic foods they have. They have freshly cooked tamales n other foods, a reg bakery as well as a Hispanic bakery which is good. Big selection of fruits, vegetables, everything else is limited, Make sure you check the exp date on stuff tho, I've bought things there before that were expired. My cashier was really nice. I go there specifically for Hispanic foods. It's a small store, and a bit dirty. But the Hispanic food you can't find at pick n save you can find it there or El rey. The store manager there is also helpful.

Deborah at the deli was great at helping us pull together the food menu (party platters) for a family get together. The sandwichs were great and had a good amount of meat on them. Stopped at P&S but it was difficult to get assistance there. So glad we ended up at Piggly Wiggly instead and had Deborah to help make sure we had what we needed.

I love Sals piggly wiggly . They always have a surprise in store special or managers special. Their meat is always fresh. The butchers have also gone the extra mile. The only thing I can really say that bugs me is every time I come here, the store manager (who I believe is the store manager) and the meat manager are usually outside, smoking nearly in front of the doors. I get it, you need a smoke break. You're absolutely entitled, but you shouldn't be doing it in front of the doors when customers are walking in and out.

Prices went way up since my last visit and are now above PNS on several items. Before they used to charge almost wally-world discount prices. I also found out if you enter near the liquor area (was coming from another store and didn't to re-park my auto) get ready for a hike. In order get to botled water, I went thru their massive attempt to fix this. I sincerely hope re-sets or re-sructuring helps because it's just too difficult to navigaug

This store needs serious updates. The parking lot is horrible and the store looks exactly the same as it did when I worked there almost 20 years ago. The only plus is I can find many Hispanic items here that I can't find in the other nearby grocery stores. Employees are also friendly.

I was in town for two weeks to do some work and had to buy some Topo Chico. So, I stopped at this Piggly Wiggly. I had not been in a Piggly Wiggly in almost 50 years. There used to be one in my home town of Alice, Texas. But, it closed down in the 1970s. Nice to see they are still in Milwaukee.
