Reviews of Milwaukee Public Market
Kyle Goodman
A hub for locally crafted foods and sweet treats in a stunning building that evokes Pikes Place while honoring its Milwaukee roots.
Inside you will find a variety of vendors selling freshly prepared food. The offerings are expansive, so make sure to take a little stroll before making your final decision. You will definitely be drawn to the swordfish in the sky that directs you to St. Paul’s Fish Market. You certainly can’t go wrong there because their lobster roll is incredible.
After your tour of the lower level, take your treasures upstairs where there is plenty of seating available. If it’s nice outside, then head outside where you can sit by the river or just take in the livelihood of the Third Ward.

In Chicago there is a place called French market near the Ogilvie station. This public market reminds me of that with a Milwaukee's spin. We love all the variety it offers with a cute little display and classy presentation. They have carefully chosen the selection of old and new favorite. Whenever we have a chance, we try to eat real, clean, slow cooked food and they had all the options we were looking for including a real candy store! We will definitely be back.

Milwaukee Public Market is a super cool place to meet people and hang out. They have many epicurean little shops inside from fresh fish, prime meats, gourmet coffee and barista bar, chocolates, wines, baked goods, mini eateries like sushi, Mediterranean, pizza, sandwiches, ribs and a beautiful fresh fish and oyster bar (St Paul’s) in the very back with bar and table seating, Of course…various cheese and curds are here too! It’s fun walking through and seeing all the interesting items. Everything in this market is delicious! There’s something for everyone at decent prices as well. We stop here every time we come to Milwaukee.

Hip little public market with excellent food stalls and an atmosphere that is it's own thing. Both modern and old fashioned, it blends into the historic third ward as smoothly as too much vermouth into a dry martini. I highly recommend a visit.

The Milwaukee Public Market is more of an urban food court than it is a traditional farmer's market. It is situated in The Historic Third Ward about eight blocks from the intermodal Amtrak and bus station. The enclosed yet airy market is filled with open space restaurants that also sell fresh produce and meats. At least, that's how I saw it as a day tourist looking for lunch. So, don't get me wrong, they definitely sell everything you need to make a meal at home. On a busy Sunday afternoon, however, you would be having a different experience than a trip to the typical grocery store. So, maybe eat something prepared and take something home in order to justify waiting in line. We ate at the St. Paul Fish Company, and it was awesome. There are other gift and apparel shops scattered throughout as well. It's a must see attraction and a super cool place to hang out. Speaking of cool... It's within walking distance to the Bronze Fonz statue on the nearby river walk through the downtown. Can you take in amazing architecture along the way? Correctamundo!

This is a bazaar type of place in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. It has different food vendors, produce, meat, baked goods, wine shops, etc. We bought a few things to eat at different vendors. The price is reasonable considering the portion and quality. Ample seating on second level. The place has an industrial vibe. There are outdoor seatings as well.
Matt Velázquez
Always great food and a wonderful environment! Plenty of food choices of several different cuisines. Great dessert options as well! Family friendly, but may be a little overwhelming for younger children.
Sean Clark
This place rules. I only had a few hours to hang out in Milwaukee before leaving and this place came highly recommended. It's basically a mall food court if it was really nice, independently owned (I assume) places. I ended up going to the place with bratwurst because when-in-Rome and it was excellent.
Not too bad an Uber to the airport and near a lot of other neat stuff downtown. Mostly bars, but I didn't get a great chance to explore, but it seemed pretty cool.
Paige Vanderbok
This place was so fun! I loved looking at all the little places they had. I've been to an indoor market before that mostly had shops and some restaurants but next time I'm here I'll definitely save my appetite to grab a bite to eat here!
We did at least get a glass of wine and dessert while we were there. It was a great experience and I'd love to go back.
Christopher Drenth
This is a great spot for a grab an go lunch or treat. All types of different foods surround a busy and eclectic atmosphere.
Take a stroll through or sit down and people watch with a nice treat.
Bruce Forshey
We stopped by for dinner at the Saint Paul Fish Company located in the Milwaukee Public Market. The food was great and the atmosphere is excellent. The market place is a great mixture of different businesses that really compliment each other. It's a great place to go and grab a bite to eat and have a drink. To all who are in the Milwaukee WI area it's worth the time to stop by and check this place out.
Michael Fisher
A very popular place to hang out. The food variety was amazing. There was something for everyone. Coffee shop, smokehouse, pizza and burgers, Mediterranean food. There was a huge array of candy and an ice cream shop to satisfy your sweet tooth.
You can get milwaukee branded merchandise as well.
Linda Rounds
What a nice eating and specialty food shopping venue. Pulled into the parking lot next to the Milwaukee Public Market and found a spot right away. Free to park for the first 30 minutes they you pay after that. Something to eat for everyone. Fun sitting up stairs on the mezzanine to eat and decide what you want for dessert 🍪 …

Very busy market, every store is great. Food food food and more food, different kinds of cuisines available. Tried excited menus in few stores. Love this place in Milwaukee.
Traveling_Tref
I visited the market on a Tuesday. Minus a star for crowding. There is a unique selection of various food, oils, and drinks, for offer at this market- but there is virtually no room to walk, or even space to stand to browse menus/items without people bumping into you. As a traveler I’m always excited to try new foods at markets, but the crowding was too much for me and my family.
Lee Loo
It was early in the morning when I passed by here and so only few stalls are opened. Will come back next time . But its nice inside . Lots of stalls , seafood market. Cheese 🧀 etc.
pretty nice to chill . …

Lobster roll at St. Paul Fish Company alone is worth the drive from Chicago. But the market located in Third Ward area of Milwaukee has variety of vendors selling everything from sushi, pizza, chocolate to wine, coffee, and ice cream. The area has become increasingly trendy in recently years and quite crowded on weekends but it’s still worth a visit.
Gaojoua Ly Ka So
I love a good public market. Majority of this one is food. There are a couple non food vendors, but again, not much. Plenty of food and drinks to choose from. Quite a fun atmosphere, not kid friendly. Stroller was hard to maneuver and not lots of food choices. But adults it’s great! Bloody Mary’s, cocktails, seafood, sandwiches, yum! Will have to go back and try more.
Lauren Kaspar
A must-visit!! A great taste of Milwaukee, located in the historic Third Ward. We enjoyed walking this area in general but the public market was one of the best spots. A variety of local artisan products and freshly prepared meals. Brew City Brand Apparel, a unique Milwaukee souvenir apparel shop was one of our favorites. Lunch at St. Paul Fish Company was a good choice as well. The clam taco special really impressed my bf and I thoroughly enjoyed my crab cake sandman draft Schlitz.
Fernando Mercado
We were visiting Milwaukee and hear the Public Market was a must. It didn’t disappoint! There is a great selection of food, drinks and sweets - even ice cream. I liked the modern and casual look of the place, plus it is within the trendy Third Ward where you can explore more restaurants and bar options if you want.
I went with my wife and kids so we kept it very family friendly and that’s one thing I like me about the MPM. It’s good for families w young kids, young people, and adults that need a good drink! ;)
Connie Iacono
Also St Paul Fishery located inside! So much to see, do, eat, drink and buy! Many different types of markets inside including but not limited to meat all types, seafood all types, wine and cheese all types, candies and restaurants! Love this place!
SPICY
Inside Market good but restaurants around Market even better.
Small Well organized Super clean Local vendors no chain Excellent seafood and bakery Reasonable price Plenty of seats washroom located on second floor. Two hours maximum for parking on week days. I recommend park in parking lots if plan to stay longer.
Abby Champagne
We ate at Wahlbergs and it wasn't a very good experience. It was expensive and the burger looked like a McDonald's burger. My bun was flat! Service was slow and there wasn't even many people in the place. (2 people) Paid $15 for a burger and tots. I don't know if they were just having a bad day. I still would give them another try just to see if maybe it just was a bad day that I happen to be there becuz I understand it happens. BUT then walked across the street to sweet treats and had some phonaminal cookies and cupcakes!!
Brad Gray
Amazing food alot of good choices. Food is from Pat's Ribs and Po Boy sandwich is from St Paul fish company. Excellent will return soon.
이미자 (소화little flower)
Very busy and crowd on weekend. I bought some seafood like fresh oyster , frozen crabs and beef jerks. They could sit & eat in the market. There are a lot of things to eat and buy. Fun
Michael Goldstein
Real fun! Pretty crowded and tons of unmasked people 😔
But real fun, lots of smiles from vendors.
HIGHLY recommend the Spice House shop in the market. …
Jason Holder
The Milwaukee Public Market is easily one of my favorite places to visit in the Brew City. They have the perfect selection of restaurants and shops, and there’s plenty of parking available in the area. The upper level seating area is great for people watching and taking in the hustle and bustle of the market. Whether it’s seafood, cheese, wine, vegan cuisine, coffee, chocolates, bakery, deli sandwiches, sushi, Mexican, or Mediterranean food that you’re looking for, the market has it!
Sam M (Drivebytourist)
Hello YUMMY!
this place is delicious in every way. Great place to hang out, discover new food and drinks and find some things to bring home and be the master chef you always thought you were but nobody believe to be true.
We stopped at Thief Wine and had some amazing wine and a cheese tray. We also got some brisket at Pat's place and faltz woodfire pizza. Picked up a tshirt, some local beer to bring home and cheese. Everything is wonderful about this place and the ambiance is wonderful. Treat yourself!

🍔🌭 Milwaukee Public Market 🥙🥗
🏡🏭 LOCATION (= 1 ⭐️) - In the center of Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, the MPM is in the perfect location. When you enter the warehouse sized building you’ll see a food court of many different kinds of food and produce.
💁🏼✍️ SERVICE (= 1 ⭐️) - We ate at Aladdin’s and service was wonderful!
🥗🍜 FOOD (= 1 ⭐️) - My wife got a brat and I got Egyptian rice from and it was very good quality
💰💵 PRICE (= 1 ⭐️) - Price is low and wonderful for the food quality.
💃🏻🎊 EXPERIENCE (= 1 ⭐️) - Unfortunately, in this category they lose a star - It was so extremely crowded I couldn’t even walk without people touching me. The lines all ran into another and it was very uncomfortable.
🤔 Overall Thoughts - 4 ⭐️’s! Great food - Low prices - High level of service - wonderful location - Only losing the one star for a very disorganized structure inside not equipped to handle a high number of people. Would absolutely go back, just not at lunch on the weekends.
B.J. Gober
A must stop for downtown Milwaukee. Great variety of fresh foods and drinks. It gets crowded so plan on hour or more if you wish to eat. Limited seating at most places.
Max Xavier
I enjoyed my visit here. It was nice. Talking with Adam Pawlak was nice. The place is clean and organized. The shops were nice too. I was hoping for more butxhers but the market is for the modern customer. Parking was easy across thr road at the parking garage. The oysters were fresh and tasty.
Rich Ross
I really liked this place. We ate lunch and made some purchases. They do not validate parking no matter how much you spend.
Letty Jean
Awesome place. We planned a trip to Milwaukee and I wanted to shop the market because it looked like a unique experience. Very busy. Wait times on even a Bloody Mary at the sausage and cheese shop was half hour. Stopped at the Thai place to eat and I got food from the St Paul fish market. Had the lobster roll. It was amazing. Stopped at the little shirt depot in there and got a Milwaukee shirt. Really cool place. Loved the views from the windows when eating. If you don’t like busy places with lots of people and long wait times you won’t like it. But if you don’t mind waiting for what you want or having unique experiences then it’s fun. I loved it! The boyfriend was not a fan but he hates crowds. I’d love to go back.
Ying Tu
Public Market was closed in honor of Labor Day, love the outdoor setting, relaxing vibe, will definitely visit again next time when we visit Milwaukee.
Ellie Kang
Always exciting to eat and shop here, fun to bring friends and guests. Lobster rolls at St Paul's is a must and it's great way try different food options within your party and meet upstairs on the 2nd floor to dine together. Clean and spacious, you get a great view of the market and taking the elevator is easy. Parking lot no longer validates for purchases at the Market, but it is convenient and often packed.
Kassandra Goettl
Smaller than I thought it would be. Quality over quantity! Good cheese shop. I recommend starting your visit with the lobster tail bloody mary from St. Paul Fish Company.
Trisha Johnson
Although there are a lot of places to pick from, we found it lacking in actual options. It was more of which place to grab a salad from, which place to get a smoothie from.. For first time visitors, we found the customer service to be just below average. We ordered food from 4 different places and received the same service level at each one. One guy was even on his bluetooth talking the whole time.
MF Snyder
Wowwie! What a fun place to buy fresh, live seafood! We arrived early on a Sunday morning and picked up 15 live lobsters, shrimp, clams and oysters for an old fashioned Labor Day Weekend clam bake. The staff at the seafood market were fantastic! Because we arrived so early, we stopped for a cup of coffee, some baked good and picked up a big bottle of the Lutz's Bloody Mary mix. Great location in the Third Ward and parking was not a problem.
Lauren Topel
I enjoyed the possibility of so many types of foods and products beautifully displayed in such a bright, large open space. Something for everyone. Asian, Mexican, vegan (big selection at one vendor near a playful van front) fish, meat, sandwiches, salads, soup, and more. I couldn’t leave without trying something sweet. So many choices but I ended up getting the best chocolate covered Oreo ever. So fresh and crisp. Lots of choices for seating and gifts including flowers.
Rodrigo Lledo
By far, one of my favorite places in downtown Milwaukee. I’ve had the opportunity to try all the food places in here and they’re all great!
Warongvat Wanachaikiat
Great market to explore Milwaukee. A lot of food and souvenir to choose from. Great place to grab lunch and hangout
heaven noel
Great food and great atmosphere. Be sure to visit the olive oil and vinegar shop directly on your right when you walk in. The ladies there are so sweet and the products are phenomenal !!
Timothy Norwood
Love this place, just the right size. Not overly crowded and a very friendly atmosphere.
Diana Eide
Fun stop to check out lots of different foods. Really busy and crowded though. Would definitely go back.
Jacque Harper
Just happened to stumble upon this place! The bartenders were really fun! Had the lobster 🦞 roll, Buffalo flounder bites. Absolutely delicious! 😋 We will definitely be back. It is a small bar and it's first come first served, but worth nevertheless ❤ …
Denise Colon
We had a blast. Great food and drink options. From seafood to delicious crafted pizzas and beers. You can even find vegan foods. Venture out and enjoy it all.
Candus Taylor
Beautiful little market where you can get unique gifts and goods. We got several great spices while there. And real fruit slushy drinks, the mango was fantastic!! We were going to get oysters but the guy behind the counter was super rude to us about them not being open for 10 more minutes. So we decided not to give them our time or money even tho we would have been more than happy to wait if he wouldn't have been so mean.
Judy Cutie
Kayleigh was a wonderful server. We had the friend cheese curd and beer. The food was amazing and the dipping sauce was the bomb. Will definitely return.
Alisha Werrett
We caught the fall festival while in town which was lively and fun. Great music, games for the kids and a brewery van which was an excellent way to start our Milwaukee tour.
Renee Mielke
This place is always fun. The varieties of food and sweets, cheeses, wine, seafood, Olive oil, spices. My favorite place to eat at is St. Paul Fishery. Sea bass, fish fry, lobster roll. Great menu. The whole experience at Public Market is upbeat
Shelton Freddy
We tried the Catfish fry, fried calamari, Lobster roll and the Oysters from the St.Paul fish company and it was pretty good. Even though it is crowded overall it was super clean and well managed
Loryn Denney
Great variety of products and friendly people! It can be a little overwhelming navigating through crowds at times, but overall everyone is pretty nice and understanding. The candy/chocolate is delicious. The spices are also AMAZING! It's nice to just slowly walk through and look at all the things!
Dylan Collier
So many great options. Tons to choose from for snacks, drinks and food as well as unique gifts. Went on a Friday and it was so busy that it was hard to move. If you don’t like crowds it’s probably not a place for you.
Laura Killberg
What an experience! If you haven't been you need to. Great spot to get lunch and people watch.
Simon Huang
Small but quality collection of stores and food establishments w a good variety. The St. Paul Fish Co was amazing
Haruna Heima
Good seating, parking was alright. Lots of good stalls and food. Bathroom and seating on the second floor accessible by stairs or elevator!
Dr. Anntoinettemarie Williams
This Urban chic market is everything. From the sea food, cheese, soups, Thai, Mediterranean, chocolate and yes vegan restaurant to name a few. I would hVe given 5 stars however it lacked African cuisine and culture. Overall great place to grab a bite and sit out on the patio and people watch.
Shawna Verges
Friendly staff working outside validated our parking while we waited to enter the market. Heat lamps are lined down the sidewalk for cooler days. Great atmosphere and decor inside and out. Great variety of vendors from pizza to salads/wraps to burgers to spices to candy to cheese and beer. Something for everyone! Sufficient seating on the second level balcony, overlooking the market. Staff works fast to sanitize tables between guests. I can't imagine how busy it is in there when attendance isn't limited due to the pandemic. Regardless, I'll definitely be back!
Jack L. Moon
There are many various shops, and some have absolutely attentive, timely, and polite staff that make sure their customer has a positive experience. Most notably, in my opinion, the spice shop - which sells EVERYTHING you could possibly want, spice and seasoning wise.
The food is honestly delicious everywhere! I've eaten at several places, and their food was all elevated, elegant, and delicious for a reasonable price. At various shops, there are vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and keto options. Depending on which shop you go to, however, service can be VERY slow, so be prepared to spin the wheel on whether you'll get your order in 5 minutes or 30.
It is also extremely wheelchair accessible, with lots of disabled parking right in front of the door, and an elevator to the dining area on the second floor.
Mary Crawford
I like the Milwaukee public market. It's a cool place to visit. But I will say that most of the vendors have people working for them that are seemingly overworked and some of them have not great attitudes. Every place is different for what you have to do to order and pick up but they each act like you should know exactly what to do and if you don't you're pretty stupid. I don't know if it's just people working temporary jobs and that kind of attitude but it kind of puts a damper on visiting the place. Otherwise it's clean the food is generally good and there's plenty of room to eat in the balcony. You probably will be spending a little more than you thought you would on food. But the variety is very nice.
Xiomary
Wonderful place to walk and explore the different food, seasoning, and drinks.
E Mullins
Great variety of vendors and restaurants! Ate seafood but took pics of the massive chocolate display!
Pat Clusman
Great place to grab a bite to eat. Many different food vendors offering all kinds of food. You can buy some packaged goods as well. Can get busy but that is part of the fun. Find a place to sit and eat on the second floor.
Matthew Goss
Excellent indoor public market. Great inside shops selling meats, fish, baked goods, candies, wine, coffee, spices and various restaurants selling American-style food, BBQ, east-Indian foods and more. Parking is available and reasonably priced, but fills up quick. Great to go to anytime of the year.
Gargi Shetty
Authentic food farm to table, boutique shops with different kinds of oils, spices, mixes, flowers etc .it’s a closed place , masks are still mandatory and people will think them for that. Parking is available for free for the first hour if you get to use ticket sealed by the shop of purchase. Make sure you keep your ticket safe , it’s a $50 fine if lost. Enjoy authentic food.
Cathy Peterson
Fun. Not as good as Cleveland's, Vancouver's or Toronto's. Have been 3 times and nothing I bought to bring home was particularly great except the 18 year balsamic vinegar.
Of course, St. Paul's fish market is great. I get the ahi tuna sandwich rare and without the bread and condiments. The fish is great. My husband lives the oysters.
Scott Perdue
Fun place to get breakfast or lunch. We got there at 9a which is when only a couple breakfast places are open, with most of the rest opening at 10a. The free Milwaukee shuttle "The HOP" has a station right outside, plus it's along the riverwalk, so it's very easy to get to.
Joelio Pro
They got what you need! Quite a bustling place just south of busy downtown. Prices are very reasonable too. Don't have dinner beforehand, as you will find your next meal here at one of many eateries.
Morgan Ottmann
A must! For locals & visitors, from chocolate/candy to wine bar, butcher block, cheese stand, sushi, oyster/seafood "diner" as well as fresh seafood for purchase, daily specials...oyster bar is my favorite ; ) and I only mentioned a quarter of what's offered. Street meter parking or park in the lot, bring your ticket in and get it validated pretty sure from any vendor you purchase from.

This is an amazing market that helps support local businesses. Great community and atmosphere for an afternoon meal and walk around. The prices are a bit steeper due to its location and rent costs, but supporting our local communities, this is worth it.
Highly recommend for Tourists or Travelers to get a feel of the area. This is in walking distance to fiserv forum. Park, along the street, pay the meter, and enjoy the stroll and food/drinks and views around the area.
Melee D
Very small but cute and crowded. I got some bbq and candied nuts last time I was there. Reminds me of a mini Pike Place Market, but there's really not much to see here. They could definitely make it more interesting by adding more vendors or expanding. It's probably only really worth it if you're already in the area.
Craig Ihlenfeld
Great meat counter. Also have wood fire pizzas and panini that are awesome. Eat lunch there or do your shopping and eat at home. Very cool place. Parking isn't too bad, lot or street
Imani Cunningham
Great atmosphere! Lots of different foods to try and if you have a sweet tooth it’s the place to go! There are covid precautions in place of course. This is one of Milwaukee’s best places to go if you’re looking for something to do or somewhere to eat and relax.
Nancy M. Ramirez Blancas
Came here with my friends and it's super cool. The food options and stores were great! Good place to start if you're coming to the city. We are from Chicago.
Evelynn
The Milwaukee Public Market was way more than I expected. Good food all the way around. I ate at the BBQ place and it took me all the way down south!!! It was so good I FaceTime my aunt in Mississippi yesterday!!! 4 days later. I had gotten Egyptian rice to take home and it was amazing! There are several different vendors and lots of amazing food!!!
Steven Bosak
Great market for grabbing a meal with friends and family. I had falafel one night and fried local fish the next. Good beer and wine available. Love the cheese and sausage shop.
Luis Mejia Barton
We visited on a recent trip to MKE! Awesome place! Great food and we loved the vibe!
Andy Andersen
I always enjoy coming back here. It’s a great place to enjoy some food and people watch
Ryan Mackman, MBA, MHA
Great for locals and tourists alike. Definitely stop at the West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe, grab a bloody mary, and then stroll around and find what interests you. Everything from local stores, food, drink, etc. it's kind of like a small sampler of Milwaukee.
Jennifer Stuart
I absolutely loved this place! I follow a dude on Tik Tok who eats at places around Milwaukee and I put this place at the top of my list.
I drove in from an hour away on a Friday and it was really easy to get to. Parking and leaving was also easy, just remember to take in your parking ticket to get validated to save a few bucks.
We arrived around 10:30 and just looked around to see what they had and what we wanted to eat. They have tables and/or bars at most and extra tables and chairs upstairs or outside. You can also take the food to go.
It was a great experience and one I will do again and again.
patricia schlagel
Fun and interesting places to get food options. Wide variety. Come to snack or a meal. Cheese counter had awesome selections and willingly made me uo a nice cheese tray to go.
Doug Stern
Lively, eclectic and full of interesting food experiences. My son and I recently visited during a long weekend in Milwaukee. It's not one of our go-to stops when we're in town!
Cyndi Kramer
Addition: I've been taking the cooking classes here for the last year and they have all been FANTASTIC! Staci is an amazing chef and teacher, it makes me want to actually cook at home! You never leave hungry, the "tastes" will fill you up.
This is the best place for people watching while noshing on any of that many and varied offerings from the resident vendors. The balcony up above gives you a birdseye view of the action on busy weekends! For a quieter food and a book experience hit it up on any weekday and grab your seat for a pleasant morning or afternoon. Oh, and clean bathrooms!
Robyn Reince
Fun, vibrant atmosphere with a wonderful, eclectic selection of food- and cooking- based delights. I like to walk through there even if I'm not interested in buying anything - it's just fun to look.
Raquel Jefferson
We stopped here while on a weekend vacation not really knowing what it was. It was a great decision! It's basically a market full of different shops inside a big building. We stopped at a few places and grabbed sweets and bakery items. So much to offer. I would suggest stopping here to my friends if they were staying in the area.
Kirsten B
I always enjoy stopping by Milwaukee Public Market. The specials at St. Paul’s are unbeatable; I usually get the lobster boil! Our server was very courteous, professional, & efficient! The market was very tidy & followed COVID guidelines accordingly. Tasty food, great atmosphere. Cant wait to go back. :)
Caleb Kopczyk
A Milwaukee must-do! Excellent places to eat, fun shopping, and a unique location! Perfect spot for a break if you're downtown or in the Third Ward.
marwah haleem
This place is soo much fun! I enjoyed all the food stalls that I tried! My favorite was the oysters 😋 they were so fresh! Will be back for more! …
Leo Carter
Great as always. It was very busy, as always. I was able to find 2 bottles of really nice wine for a very reasonable price. My wife and I love this place.
Allison Bartels
A must visit for all things delicious in the historic third ward downtown Milwaukee. There is literally a meal, snack, cocktail, or coffee for whatever you're craving. Mexican, Thai, Soups, Deli, Salads, Smoothie, Vegan, Greek, Seafood, Baked Goods, Ice Cream, Chocolate, Wine/Beer, the lists goes on. My favorite places are the salad and juice bar. The freshest biggest salads I've ever had. The tuna salad caesar is something I crave. I'm also a big fan of the new vegan place. I'm not even vegan and it's very delicious! Seating and bathrooms are upstairs. (Lots of outdoor seating too) It gets insanely crowed on weekends but a pro of covid is they are limiting capacity which I really prefer. A must when in Milwaukee!
Dee H
I was not sure what to expect. I believed this place was a grocery store of some kind...it was as it said. A marketplace that sold hot or cold meals. Cheeses, wines, meats, sea foods, bread and souvenirs. All the basics and culture things associated with MKE. You can even eat in and because of the current events in the world; the sitting area has clear plexiglass in between each seat at the bars. I hope to go back soon.
M Borrus
Quite a unique place for someone who has never been a public market, but it really fits its name. Good in all season. Great great french fries. Large variety of things to eat there or take away. You’ll always find something that you want. Really nice sign of a rooster. Great place to go on dates! Walk around even if you’re not hungry. I think they should have free samples everywhere, but I’m preaching to the choir. One hour of free parking with validation inside.
MJC
Everything from regular American food, to vegan, to dessert, to wines.
Not a bad place to hang out if you're in town and looking for a place to eat/drink.

The Public Market is a great place to get fresh food. They have so many different vendors with different services that it would be pretty hard to not find something to like there. The vendors and businesses at the Milwaukee Public Market are super friendly as well and appreciate those who come and get food. I like to go there from time to time to get either meat or fruit, and for special occasions the sweets are too tantalizing to pass up.
Peter Sayarath
The Milwaukee Public Market is a staple of the area. There's a diverse selection of food and some souvenirs available. It does not take long to walk through. The stuff that is there looks very good. I would definitely plan to enjoy the additional businesses and venues around this particular building and the Riverwalk. Parking can be hard to find allocate $2 per hour for the meter parking during the week.
Jeremy Miller
Something for everyone here. Vegans. Sweet tooth. Healthy eater. Comfort meal.
Plus, get an hour of free parking with any purchases here.
Jen Bradley
Absolutely loved this quaint little market with indoor shops, food stalls, spots to enjoy wine, seafood, and food and drink galore! Very cold when I was visiting so wandering inside was also a nice advantage! Lovely selection and so fun to stroll through. Everything was delicious! Definitely a must for all visiting downtown Milwaukee and close to the historic third ward.

I really enjoyed this place. Went there and really did not know what to expect. They had a wide variety of items everything from food the cloths. There were alot of things to look at and see. A wide variety of food. It was crowded but not too crowded. All the staff was friendly and it was easy to walk around and see everything the vendors had. It was also indoors which would make it a great place to go in any kind of weather. Parking was extremely easy which also made it a great plus. It opened early and stayed open late which is great for the late weekend sleepers like my wife and me.
Andy Holmaas
The Milwaukee Public Market is exceptional. The variety of food, drink that is either alcoholic or non alcoholic, coffee, spices, and more is outstanding. It’s very clean with excellent air conditioning. Prices were reasonable. Parking is easy enough for a public market. This is a very cool stop to see a lot in a small amount of time.

Whenever we visit the Milwaukee Public Market we always stop for lunch at the St. Paul Fish Company. It can be very crowded there and you’ll have to put your name on the list and receive a pager. You can walk around the Market until paged, and you will find the wait we’ll worth it. The wait staff is very good and the pricing on the dinners is very affordable. The lobster is well worth the price as is the fish dinner and classic tuna melt. Delicious.
Sangeetha Chandrasekaran
Super crowded but people wear masks so its safe. Its a good place to hang out with cheese shop, wine shop and few restaurants. On the Bus is a vegan place for amazing healthy drinks and acai bowls.
Ron G
What a fun place to visit ! We plan to make a return trip, & next time to be hungry & thirsty, so we can try more of the delicious food & drink items that we saw.
Solisfran Solis
This place is amazing! You can find anything you crave, from delicious seafood, BBQ, sushi, wine, or margaritas, to delicious sandwiches or yummy desserts. The atmosphere is a whole experience.
Jake Weber
Went to st. Paul's fish market for oysters and it was very good. Remember half shells are different than shooters. Half shells are what you think of when you order oysters.
Joshua Moore
Great location for finding some tasty and healthy food. Plenty of coffee options as well. Vibrant atmosphere with plenty of food to choose from. The hand made sandwiches are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters and the smoothie bowls are full of delicious nutrients. Lots of craft foods/drinks/wares and other unique finds hidden away in this gem. Well worth taking your time to visit and stroll through.
Laine
Stopped here as our last stop in Milwaukee and I’m happy to say I will be back!! So many delicious food to choose from! So many friendly workers to help you out! It was packed in there but at least they separated tables with plastic blockers!
Went to St. Paul fish company was not disappointed, fresh, tender and fried to perfection was my po’boy! Crab cake was stuffed with real crab legs and since I had a hangover from last night I had to get that bloody mary to help with my headache!
Linda Settler
Ate a wonderful fresh fish dinner @ St Paul Fish Co. accompanied by a glass of wine from Wine Thief before heading to a Saturday night concert. Nice to see the market hopping with visitors. The last time I was at there was over the holidays for MATC's Parade of Gingerbread Houses. Such amazing talent on display by students in the Baking & Pastry Arts program. Be sure to check it out next year.
Tom Duffy
Love these public market when you’re with the group, everyone gets to get what they want and pay for it themselves
Ali Bakir
One of the beat places I've been too. Cheap food. Wide selection of cheese, fish, chocolate and others. Clean and energetic. Has nice views too.
Parking costs 4$. If you purchased something, show it at the gate and you don't have to pay. I didn't know that, but the nice lady still didn't charge me when she found out I was out of town!
Janet Lopez
Loved this place!! I’m from Chicago and we don’t have a market like this. I like how there’s a little bit of everything! You can literally enjoy foods from India, Asian, Mexican, Italian to name a few. Oh and don’t forget the little cute bus ice cream shop it was delicious! A great way to end a meal!
Yenuganti Prasanth
The awesome place I have ever visited with Mr. W . Enjoying and exploring a lot of items and we can go through many continental foods in Milwaukee public market.
Robbie & Stefani Beierle
We love each vendor at the public market! Always hard to choose!
Sofia Gunawan
Everything inside this market is yum: from creamy vegan lentil soup to five veg/fruit juices to flourless peanut butter cookies. If you're a fan of Prime NY Strip, the butcher can grill it off for you.
Greg Arnold
This is such a great place to visit. Everything you could ever want to eat and drink all in one space. I love going to Anodyne! My favorite coffee place!
Nyoman Ribeka
Super awesome place. If you're in town, you definitely need to stop by and sample some of the great food and drinks they have to offer.
Highlight for us was:
Shark bite from St. Paul. One of the best fish in skewer we ever have. Very very tasty! Great seasoning! Also try the lobster role!
Cuban sammich from Wes Allis and the curds.
S G
Milwaukee, I love you and envy you simply because of Public Market! Why doesn't Chicago doesn't have anything close to this, a place that's actually serves really good coffee, seafood, cake & muffins, cheese, bratwurst, wine and more!!! I would return to MKE just because of Public Market and the Historic Third Ward, loving the energy and varieties here! My fav here is hands down St Paul Fish Company!
Anita Lindemann
Saturday afternoon had some parking challenges and a fairly crowded market. However, a large variety of wonderful food and beverage options in a hectic but neat indoor atmosphere makes up for it.
Wesley Vasile
If you are visiting or even a local this is a must do for all. I really enjoyed this experience at the Public Market. You have a great selection of food. You have seafood, cheese, sweets, Mexican and even beer options. I loved walking around and trying different foods. Staff all seemed lovely and this place has a great vibe. Check it out
Linda Hoernke
An amazing market place selling everything from fresh fish, gourmet spices, international chocolate and cheeses, wine and vegetables and fruits. Restaurants where you can enjoy a meal inside or out. Food in all restaurants is fresh and exceptionally good. Located in the Historic Third Ward, the market fits in nicely with the atmosphere of the area.
Susan B
I love this place although I didn't have the lapster roll this time it simply is amazing but I always have my oysters
haoqing shangguan
I would recommend this restaurant because their food are such awesome 👏, these are four kinds of my favorite food of this restaurant and I strongly suggest all of you to try them. The Pistachio and Walnut Baklava are sweet, the Spinach Swirls are fragrant. When you take them together, then you reached the heaven.✌️ …
Miguel Sarmiento
Great place to go during a visit to Milwaukee. On it you can find a variety of small restaurant and food stores where you can try delicious plates. The market has a second floor with additional tables and it count with a elevator for your convenience. Also there are some outdoor tables whre you can enjoy your food during sunny days. There is a parkint lot just in the corner and and bus and train stops just in front.
Humberto Montenegro
Awesome! This place has a very energetic vibe whether you are buying something, or having lunch/dinner or just hanging out with friends at one of the many bars you'll have a great time!!! It's got many different stores to visit and get products like cheeses, spices, meat, wines, etc from all over the world 🌎... 😎 …
Mike Siegwald
Very cool place. Best market I’ve been. Very busy and full of life and People.
Adam Goode
This place was pretty cool being right downtown so very easy to get to. I was staying at the Cambria hotel, so ask I had to do was go left out of the door, walk maybe two blocks, take a right, and I was there. Once you enter, things are bustling, especially at my arrival time of 1pm. There are about 15 different vendors there mostly serving food items. You can get things from ribs to cheese to pizza to burritos. I got the pineapple express at the little Mexican vendor on the far right, and it was DELICIOUS!! There is a vendor there selling novelties and t-shirts, but watch out as some of that seemed very overpriced. As he had a basic steam on print shirt for $60. The place does have "decent" seating option, I guess it just depends on the time. Overall the place was fun and well worth the experience.
Miranda Rosenkranz
I love this place! Great for a date or if you’re from out of town and want to try some WI staples. I recommend the bloody from the seafood place, they put salmon jerky in it! I always get a Milwaukee tee shirt too.
G Castro
Add the Milwaukee Public Market to your to-do lists when you visit Milwaukee. Lots of independent shops, and a wonderful variety of vendors! I enjoyed the ambiance as well, it has that unique midwesterner charm about it. Definitely will return soon!
Chris Surges
Amazing place for a group lunch or dinner. Lobster roll, swordfish, (St.Paul’s)and hummus/gyro (Aladdin’s) favorites. Seating on second floor great for people watching all year round. Patio in summer is a must. Many many choices for all..
Rattasat Nudam
Even though the exterior of market looks small, its interior creates a welcoming ambience. Packed shops in an unorganised zone make a real distinction between markets and supermarkets. Most of them sell food ranging from raw materials to ready-to-eat food, of course you are able to find a seat on an upper floor if you will. Many bakery shops are located here but a price tag can vary from fairly reasonable to phenomenally expensive.
Marcelo E. Lopez A.
Inside this place has a lot of options to drink and eat. The inside is very colorful and highly recommend hanging out for a few drinks and snacks.
Linda Malik
So much to do and try here! There are tons of food and treat options and a fabulous wine bar where you pin sit down at the bar and enjoy a beverage of choice as well as a few meat and cheese accompaniments. There is a great candy shop and bakery with delicious cookies, multiple food options and a second floor area to sit and enjoy your chosen Goods. There's also an elevator for access. If you're anywhere near the downtown Milwaukee area this is definitely a place to visit.
Nicole Tooze
I had the chicken asian salad with a fresh juiced drink. I just added a lot more toppings. This was only the regular side. It was so big and had some left over.
If I lived in Milwaukee, I'd definitely go here more.
Frunk Chungus
Prices are a little higher than I'd hope for, in a place where there's hardly anywhere to sit. Guessing rent is too high. Cool variety though, many places within to eat or get a drink
Angie Gamboa_
I loved it! All the vendors are so nice and there so much to chose from, lots of space to sit and defintely a place I"ll go again if in Milwaukee
Rebecca Knox Captain Save A Home (Captain Save A Home)
Highly recommend Adam Pawlak's cooking class. He shared simple tips that could be used on an array of dishes and the tomato butter sauce was heavenly. A perfect date night!
Kelli M
Big fan of the Milwaukee Public Market. Love trying different food, a glass of wine and desserts. We visit every time we are in town. Parking lot on the north side offers free 1 hour parking if you purchase something from the market, but be sure to take your parking ticket inside and have someone stamp it when your making your purchase.
jon grossman
Lots of fun. Short walk inside the market, lots to choose from. More like a food court than market, but lots of good smelling things; spices, coffee, mexican food, wood fire oven..etc. parking around the public market is meter / download the app and pay for it from 8 in the morning until 6 in the afternoon. But for 31 minutes it was only a dollar 18. Still had a blast
Kurt Shimala
Probably my favorite downtown market I’ve been too. I really like the size and the overall layout of this one. I find ones like Findlay Market and Quincy Market overwhelming with their one long main aisle. This has an outer loop with “islands” also in the middle. Good variety of food and drinks along with other vendors. If you want a T-shirt or other branded item, go upstairs to the office next to the bathrooms to purchase.
Moon Villalobos
Cool place to stop and eat or people watch. Plenty of cool things to buy and is a must to anyone in the area. Highly recommend!
Jennifer Haumschild
Always love the public market. Has an elevator, so accessible which is pretty great! Great variety of food vendors with meats, cheeses, sweets, hummus, oils, salads...a fish and seafood market, wine bar, ice cream and smoothies, and coffee. Great sauce shop also.
Emily K
LOVE this place! The whole concept is great - something for all tastes. The Rose water lemonade is delicious, can't remember the name of the restaurant booth is though. Wish I didn't live so far from it 😢 …
Willahelm Wan
Wonderful experience there. I usually don't drink, but I couldn't pass up the bloody mary there. It was more of a meal than a drink. Absolutely delicious!
Carmen Morales Rico
Lots of good options, but nothing better tha oyster with a beer 🍺 …
david castillo
This is by far one of the coolest places to visit in Milwaukee. It's not very big but it packs a lot in to the space. There are a diverse array of food options from sea food, Japanese, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Vegan, and local options. The sea food restaurant offers some great deals. I would recommend getting a sandwich as West allis. It's amazing...this a is a great place to visit and pick up some stuff to take back home if you are from out of town.
Joann Sodon
Exciting, crowded, smaller than expected, lots of amazing food options
David Perloff (Davyjones 1610)
This is certainly a great place to start a tour of Milwaukee since it offers a huge variety of all the great tastes that exemplify the city's culture of food, wine, beer, etc. I certainly enjoyed my experience here, just by the vibrant environment and great-tasting food that's all local and made with love!
Jake
We can to the Milwaukee public market on Saturday. There was lots of people there and very crowded. On the other hand there was lots of businesses to. Lots of them where food. But some of them seemed pretty cool. The prices weren’t terrible either. Its definitely were a lot of people our on the weekend. Overall it’s really cool and nice, it’s just really hard to navigate around because of all of the people.
Grace S
1) You couldn’t social distance if you TRIED to here. The crowds can be overwhelming in the small market space, and people being maskless just makes it worse.
2) Some spots for good food. I like to get macarons from the bakery, and chocolate to sample from the candy shop.
Katrina LaRose
Such a cute and convenient market! I was here for a week and tried the Mediterranean place (Aladdin) and it was very delicious! And I had a smoothie bowl at the smoothie/coffee place inside. It was good, because of the heat it melted pretty fast though. My husband tried the bbq place, and he really enjoyed it!
Cherry Tree Inn B&B
Incredible find! We popped in for some sweet treats at C. Adam's & Kehr's. Great shops of cheeses, meats, coffee & so much more in there with lots of space to eat inside & out.
Benjamyn Giordano
Definately recommend one goes the sea food was delishious. The bar staff were beyond friendly would definately recommend.
Caleb Carter
Neat space with a lot of options. They are a bit busy and could use some more seating.
Omar Juarez
Burger patties are NY strip, ribeye, and sirloin trimmings. It's more like a tasty steak burger
Caitlyn Lee
Stopped here on our way to Door County. There were various food vendors to choose from! Everyone was happy with their choices. The price was decent too. There was a bit of traffic trying to get out of the parking lot, and parking is free for the first 30 minutes. Much cheaper than downtown chicago parking
Nate Church
I loved this place! Very high energy, tons of selection for food and souvenirs, and a great experience. I would highly recommend if you are in Milwaukee to check out the Public Market!
Cesar Pineda
Great place to visit, a variety of different food to eat. Food is outstanding at a very reasonable price. St. Paul Fish Company is always packed, expect to wait but it's well worth it. Lobster roll is amazing!!! Everyone's customer service here is top notch. Expect the best out of everyone!!!
Jill Lee
Fun place to explore if you’re new to Milwaukee. Tons of food to shop for and alcoholic drinks. There’s bakery, ice cream, sushi, etc. It gets very busy around lunch. I recommend visiting place around 3-5 pm when there are not as many crowds. If you come around noon, you are walking shoulder to shoulder with people and long weight time. There’s seating and table as well as bathroom upstair. Get very pack and busy. For parking they have a parking lot however it gets full fast. Luckily there’s street parking.
Aaron M Mills
The Market is a beautiful building with an excellent assortment of food and shopping choices. The ambiance is bustling and lively, lending to an upbeat feeling that is entrancing. Because of COVID-19, there was only outdoor seating for our lunch, but that was far from a bad thing. Next time I'm in Milwaukee, I would not be surprised to find myself here again, trying some new fare.
Reihaneh Samsami
Lovely place with several options of good food!
Must visit in Milwaukee!

Cassie L
I like this market spot. It’s pretty crowded on the weekends, but it’s quality stuff. I’m here on the weekends from time to time. Get the chocolate chip cookies at C Adam’s bakery. Then go to Indulge for wine. It’s divine.
Alex Edmont
A lot of yummy food, pastry, wine. Cheese and more. Parking is available free one hour with purchase.
Seating are available upstairs to enjoy your food and drink.
Matteo Stucchi
It kinda remembers me NYC Chelsea market, but better, less busy and more genuine. Absolutely a must stop if you are in the area! Also cool the nearby street and its shops!
Will Cappon
Lots of different shops to buy souvenirs, good, or eat at. Always thought the market is a little overrated, but nonetheless a great spot to come check out. If you are looking for vegetarian/vegan options, there are several.
Carlos Jara Perez
Great variety of food to choose from 🙌 place is clean and have seats outside and on the second floor. If you're just picking up an order from one of the restaurants you can park for free (less than 30 min parked). …
Staci Yoder
I absolutely loved this place and wished I had more time to spend there! Loved the chocolate shop, the fresh fish counter, and the t-shirt shop right as you walk in. Super sad to not have time to peruse the fresh flower stand!
Bianca Velez
Yeeeeesss…. All I have to say is Lobster rolls. 🤤 If I could eat one everyday, I totally would. Come early cause the seating area gets full pretty quickly. …
Josh Tarnowski
Pretty crowded on weekends but there's pretty much anything you could want here. Also, a very enjoyable atmosphere.
Kathryn Lambkin
Don't miss this attraction, popular with locals. For a meal and take home some treats. Mostly food. Healthy options. Vegan. Oysters. Fish fry. Ice cream. Chocolate. Thai. Dips. Wine bar.
Reasonably priced.
Alexander Engler
Plenty of stores carrying a variety of different items. Olive oil, fresh seafood, flowers, candy, cheese, beer, wine, salads, sandwiches, spices and smoothies. It can get pretty crowded on the weekends so try to go during the week if you don't want a lot of people around. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes and not that expensive afterwards.
rycasV
The Milwaukee public market is always a good stop. Busy, but that's because people like it and go back. You can try something different every time you go, or even find something to take home to make. A great place to visit if you are passing through or never heard of it before.
Stix O'fury
Best lobster roll & oysters west of Acadia. Considering its location, pretty reasonable. Also has a tiki bar when its nice outside. Offerings difficult to find in this area, such as soft shell crab & shark bites. We love it. My favorite person, place, & thing in the city limits.
Rachelle Lehan
Kind of a cool spot to check out. It's more restaurants and baked goods than a market. I had expected more produce.
It's a relatively small market and it can be tough to find parking, but you can get your parking validated inside the market. Good spot for lunch
Monali Parmar
Expect a crowd but definitely worth a visit! So good that we'll be going back before we leave MKE!
Pulkit Kashyap
This is one of the must see places in Third Ward when you’re in Milwaukee. It’s the heart of Milwaukee downtown. There’s on site parking, it’s paid but if you buy something at the market you can get some validation on the ticket with discount. Friends said the seafood restaurant is very good. I bought some deserts, they were really delicious. They sell something known as Brookie (brownie + cookie), mmmmm yum!
Kelly McCann
Busy market, but easy access from the Hop. Lots of food, drink, and clothing venues to look at. Lots of seating upstairs. Free WiFi. Great place to stop for a bit while waiting for the Hop.
Emily Anderson
Always love the public market. Great place to meet up with friends. We were her on a Tuesday afternoon and it was less busy.. compared to a weekend..obvious? I dont know. But theres a lot of food options here .. previously held game days here
John Dlabal
Every city has an iconic foodhall and this is Milwaukee's version. It's decent sized with enough variety in vendors to satisfy everyone in your group. It's clean and well organized! There's seating upstairs and outside.
Zach Tichelaar
A plethora of options for you, your kids and any one else you might be dragging along to down town. You can get beer, wine, chocolate or even cheese. Space for you to sit down and eat. In the winter there is always lovely gingerbread mansions decorated around the market. The Hop drives right past so you can ride that.
Marie Nilson
Great place with lots of options.
The florist is EXECELLENT - most beautiful flowers I’ve ever received. Juices were tasty and well priced. The food was good, not exceptional. Loved the outdoor seating options.
Simone LaPierre
Awesome!! Though super spreader with it being so crowded with unmasked people. So good place to go when vaxxed and just having had it with double immunity.
Super fun besides.
Luis Florez
I really like the market and all the stores, I wish it would be a bigger place with more options.
In general, the food is delicious and the variety of options is good.
Cathie Kentner
Had a great time. Cheese, meat, fish, spices and bakery all in one location. Awesome vegan restaurant, with great sandwiches, smoothies and desserts.
Erwin Abidog
Small, good variety of food choices.
Agatha Barrow
Everything from St. Paul fish company was delicious . There's and assortment of restaurants to choose from, with seating on the second floor. St. Paul also has outdoor and bar seating.
Gary Oberst
Great place to visit, especially if you're from out of town. Lots of local specialties. West Allis Cheese And Sausage Shop has the best Bloody Marys. Stop and get one!
Matt Bowman
This is a must while in Milwaukee- it’s a great collection of eateries, stores offering local products, souvenirs and bakery goods. The upper level looks out over the market and offers lots of tables/seating to enjoy your purchases.

Neat spot with a bunch of different vendors. There’s a spice shop, seafood spot, sandwiches, smoothies, juices, canned goods, florists. There’s also bathrooms and seating areas on the top floor.

Cute indoor market with a variety of food, and wine vendors. There's an elevator / stairs that take you to the second floor where the restrooms and additional seating is available.

Love it here. It's like a perfect little sample of Wisconsin. Bloodys, wine, fish frys, treats, coffee, knickknacks... Great vibes all around.

Alicia Cera
Always a place I take people from out of town to visit because it is one of my favorite spots in Milwaukee. Amazing variety of food for all diets and palates featuring vegan options, seafood, Mediterranean, Mexican and more! Parking can be difficult and it can be quite busy on a Saturday afternoon but totally worth it! Will certainly be back soon!
Traci Gondek
Between a vegan place, the amazing bakeries, the incredible tacos and Italian food, and the view from the second story, I could spend an entire afternoon here.
Emily Stewart
Loved the Public Market! So many great options for food. I would love to go back and try more of what they have to offer!
Ranillo Rodriguez
Lobster Roll at St. Paul's Fish Company was amazing! Free parking in the back but tight spots.
Daniel Strosina Jr.
Wish I knew about this place sooner. Awesome place to go eat. Not the cheapest but then where is nowadays? Well worth the money spent to eat.
Sean
It's a great spot! So many vegan and vegetarian options. Aladdin is my favorite stop. Inexpensive for what you get and amazingly delicious
Denice Korean
The marketplace was a pretty nice place to go to. I would suggest to go during the weekdayfor parking sake. We got there when it opened. I thought it would be a lot larger, but it was nice. You could choose from Israel, hispanic, german, japanese, and other national foods. Really nice stop if you are with friends or family. I would have everyone get something different and go upstairs to share! For parking, make sure that you get a vendor you buy from to validate and your first hour is free! We went a little over an hour, maybe a few minutes, but it was free, yay!
Kathryn Humitz
Other than this place always being busy, the food is great. It truly feels like you're at an outdoor market.
Daniel Park
I like it. Many stories food, drink, coffee, sandwiches, seafood ets...
Hanging around here my family enjoy time
April Shipherd
Everything was amazing! Cooked meals at each place we stopped were fresh and super tasty. Also bought meats and cheeses to take home. Large selection with everything from standard options to specialty items. Definitely will be back everytime I'm in Milwaukee!
Melisa Anderson
Fun experience with a lot of options. Most of the vendors could benefit from more signage as to where to order and where to pick up food. Plan for a wait or order ahead.
Josef
This place is so alive. Full of open shops, eateries, and energy.
What a fun place to visit..... Parking is like any downtown city parking.
Kelly
Always a happy place. This is one of those "never gets old places". Local establishments, diverse options, always buzzing. I only wish it was twice the size! Grab a frozen mule, walk around and explore or sit down for an insane WI bloody...savor a whole lobster dinner or grab a cerveza and a taco or a vegan ice cream from a VW van. A great 3rd Ward experience.
Ras Maurice McCutcheon
Being good there for 10 years and it never gets old. Amazing food. Many choices. Friendly staff. A milwaukee landmark.
Janet Eibes
There is something for everyone at the MKE Public Market. I just wish it were open later - most nights it closes promptly at 8:00pm.
Jeff Heskin

Ben Goolsby (Ben)
Wonderful plus cool cars outside
Jaime Soto
It was a Mecca of cheese sold here. Everything was awesome. Cheese, meats, spices, etc. New place to shop. Will visit here again after stopping in Maders for a Liter.
J F
The Milwaukee Public Market is in the heart of 3rd Ward. The best wines, foods, fresh seafood, and cooking accessories all in one place. The salad place is the best! Stop there for a fresh salad and all natural juices. Prices are great and the atmosphere is lively. It's also a great meeting spot before festivals.
erica ethridge
This is my fave place!! We can't wait to get fresh lobster, sweets, tacos or Milwaukee attire.
Adriana L Amezcua
Yummy food, many things to pick from. Souvenirs expensive. Ice cream, fresh juices and the Mexican restaurant was delicious!!!
Amber Robertson
Great food, lots of options, even Vegan. Husband ordered from The Bus & was pretty disappointed to find out after placing order that it was vegan .... But it was still pretty good, although you could tell it wasn't real meat. Bread was fantastic though, & their other options (bowls, smoothies, milk shakes) looked really tasty
Oli Pierce
loved all the food and the aesthetic of the place! super fun, spent about a hour there.
ash pattison
I had a grand ol time, the wait was worth it. (As far as service) the food was great (king crab) but the service was dookie. Like any other service I would expect in WI.
Heather Dykema
This is an absolute gem in Milwaukee! The restaurant choices are amazing and I love shopping at the Spice House and West Allis Cheese and Sausage shop!

This was a fun place to check out, it is all food so I was surprised by that but it was a great place for lunch😁 …
Dave Lowe
Hip place with a bunch of cool local eateries....something for just about everyone. Seemed super crowded and though I had to wait about for my food to get made, we had no problem finding seating upstairs. Also, this local Root Beer was fantastic!
Samantha Hathaway
Many unique stores/goods located in one space. Nice taste of Milwaukee for visitors with something to try for all tastes.
davii smith
This place is really great they have almost anything you could want to eat. It will be crowded and seating will be a task if you're thing to sit inside but definitely worth the visit. The food is amazing and it's right around the corner from all the hotels. You should definitely not leave Milwaukee without coming here.
Amanda Wesley
Friendly environment and they had a little something for everyone in our family.
Shannon Ferguson
Cool building with several counter service restaurants and food-related stores. All the food we had was delicious and the staff was friendly. The restrooms and seating area upstairs were clean and easy to find a place to sit. Areas of improvement: They could stand to turn the AC a little bit higher -- it was a fairly uncomfortable temperature for hanging out on a hot day. And if you're a person who is sensitive to noise, beware, the space is one of those cavernous ones with lots of hard surfaces, so there's a lot ambient clatter.
Brooke Vincent
Very crowded as usual for a Saturday. I wish oyster bar had more seats available.
All food vendors are amazing.
Diane Zuber
Within walking distance of the Holiday Inn Express downtown Milwaukee. Reminds me a little of Pikes Peak market in Seattle.. but on a much smaller scale. I really likes the local spice store. The girl was so knowledgeable and helpful. There was also a cheese and cracker shop where we bought blueberry cheese that was delicious! I nice place to browse.
Alina Charnova
Good place for travelers to try some of the best local food. Always try to stop here while in MKE
Chelsea R
Awesome experience. Different varieties of food and drinks. Pricing wasn’t bad at all especially the oyster bar!
Nicole Krause
The Milwaukee Public Market is not to be missed on your visit to Milwaukee. There's something for everyone at this market. Yes, it may be busy but it's an authentic market. The t-shirt vendor near one of the entrances has the best WI t-shirts!
Quintastics Adventures
Great experience and a must see if you are in Milwaukee. They have so many varieties of specialty foods.
Eric Ellis
I'd recommend the West Allis Cheese and Sausage Shop or St. Paul Fish Company for a great meal, but you can't go wrong with any of the vendors here. It's very busy at lunch time during the week. Dining tables are up on the second floor with a cool view of the entire market.
Kristi George
Spent way too much money here! I wanted everything. Great sushi at Thai-namite and a great Margarita from Margarita Paradise. Finished with some delicious treats from C.Adam’s Bakery. Fun place to walk around with a beverage, stuff your face and buy some unique spices and gifts.
Niky B-C
Nice variety of food, wine selections/vendors.
Starr Price
Milwaukee Public Market is the goto place in Downtown for any type of prepared or market style food and Drink you can imagine.
The tone is upbeat and fun brought together with a multi-cultural, diverse blended atmosphere, all of which makes for a popular place for locals and visitors alike.
Amber Jones
It was my first visit to the public market and it was wonderful! Such a variety of things to see, eat, and drink. Visually pleasing. Will return again!
S M
This was our first time in Milwaukee and everyone had encouraged us to go to the Public Market. It was just a quick walk from the hotel and easy to find. We have never been anywhere quite like it, great experience. The market had a bunch of different shops within one open market, all of which had really unique items, mostly food and treats. We took our kids and let them pick out some specialty treats. Super fun!
AB Viajes
It is the best place in Milwaukee to eat or buy fresh and healthy foods. Also, for drinking wines and juices. I recommend eating a fresh lobster that they sell on the spot
Nicholas Lang
Great place. Had never been there. Good food choices
Keith Schmelling
This place is Awesome, I can't wait to get back there
Madeline Strom
So much fun at the Milwaukee Public Market! Lots of fun things to eat, people to see, and a wide variety of drink options. If you are in MKE, you can't miss this fun market. I'm so glad I spent the afternoon here.
Got lunch and a lobster claw bloody mary at St. Paul Fish Co, and a smoothie from the bus.
I wish I was staying longer so I could go back and eat more fun things!
mike kuhn
Incredible experience. It's not what it sounds like. It's many different fine eateries. If you are hungry? Go. It's got every types of food you would want.

Foodie heaven! Eat there, take it to go, or get ingredients to cook your meal. Many restaurants and stores (Olive oil store, fish market, middle eastern cuisine, spice shop, Mexican food, vegan, Thai, soup, salad, coffee, wine, bar, deli, etc...). We always stop while visiting Milwaukee!
Kaylee DeBuhr
Crowded but it was saturday. Loved the frozen brandy drink and all the food options. Plus fresh cheese and jerky. Would love to see places like this more where I live!
Dongbin Kwak

This place has something for everyone except seating, so make sure to always be on the lookout for extra seating!
Matthew Robinson
Was wonderful, exciting, meats, cheeses, coffees, and flavored oils tasting, the dark chocolate was totally wild, intoxicating nice!
mary ebony collins
Went St. Pauls Fish restaurant and always love the Lake Perch fish sandwich! Young folks moving so fast, they missed the part where I said "hold the pickle!" Hahaja
Vivek Chowdhary
A must visit location for anyone visiting Milwaukee. Excellent food choices from middle Eastern, Mexican, sea food, healthy sandwiches, salads, shakes and many more.
Parking is a bit of hassle on weekends but will worth the wait. Lot of good bars and restaurants nearby as well.
The vegan shake and sandwich joint is a new entrant but has some delicious dishes and drinks to choose from
Drew Wescott

Great food, super fun to walk through and grab a snack or lunch when downtown. Pretty busy on the weekends but there is a wide variety of great stuff to buy.
yanneth perea
I went long time ago and take my lunch in there. It was ok.
Last week I was looking for some snack at night. They have a lot of things and a lot of people but personally I didn't see nothing that I like.
Je Man
They have nice food! Great place to bring friends! Best lobster!
G Naylor
All kinds of food and drink options up in here.
Cheryl Stock
Great choices and variety of offerings in a clean, bright environment. Everyone had their mask on-- which is key. A great place to browse, grab a wine or coffee. Everyone should check it out.
John W
This place is awesome, so many things to eat and drink.
Lex
Favorite place to eat in Milwaukee. 1st know that seating is available upstairs (unless private event) or outside as inside will be very crowded. This place is full of a variety of vendors from Mexican and seafood to chocolate and spices, making it a great stop for people who like a variety of food or groups who want different styles of food. It is also a great place to try something new.
A Piper
It was ok. Much to crowded. Stalls too small to keep up with demand and long waits. Mostly all food vendors so I'm not sure why it's called a market place. They're is security that is walking around though, that guy was pretty nice.
Bobbe Wright
Great public market space for downtown.
Lots of unique food and desserts choices and local made products.
Zeen Absolute
You want a Tshirt that says "ope" on it, tamales, spices, and $1 oysters all in one place? You've come to the right place.
Randy Kim
It is a bit underwhelming compared to Seattle's Pike Market but that is an unfair comparison. The shops are niche. Food is unique. It isn't very overpriced and it is in nice little cozy district
Tyler Owen
Awesome multicultural vibe. Really great food options. Had a live clarinet player who was quite good.
Leon Corriea
Great place in the historic third ward to sample local food and drinks.
Cody Dubose
Amazing just amazing. Best food best people and the best time with the greatest man ever.

Aaron Miller
Some great food and treats in a modern and entertaining atmosphere. Clean and purified air. Some fantastic Wisconsin treats and delicacies.
Matt Hovey
We enjoyed the sights and sounds of this throwback market. Small but abundant with good choices for a quick lunch or snack with a stroll.
Shane Martin
One of my favorite places to go for lunch. There are many places to grab a bite but my favorite would be Green Kitchen. The outdoor eating area is very nice when it is not winter. It being right on the hop line is fantastic. It is a shame that it is right next to the highway tho because it would look much nicer without it.
Robert Walker
Some great food stores. Worth a visit
Wish Born
This place is one of the coolest places in Milwaukee. So many food quality food options, from the best Vegan burgers to fresh fish, delectable chocolate, fine wine and so much more. Plus the dining section upstairs provides a great view of the whole market.
Jarod Stevenson
Tons of options of places to eat, green a drink, or just shop around. Close to lots of places around the block within walking distance. Nice to have tables and chairs upstairs to have a place to sit and eat. Otherwise, it’s incredibly crowded downstairs among the shops.
Armando Rodriguez
Cool place. Not the best weather, but did enjoy our time there.
Gerald Gott
Nice place to get a variety of foods to eat there, or take home.
Pam B
Walked thru with my grandson we saw a lot of good places to eat,we will be back

Shannon Kevlin
It was my first time going. I had a very nice experience. Our food was great. Lots of hustle and bustle. Will def go back to get my drink on!
Colton Barney
Great place to get really healthy food. They're is a place inside called 'On The Bus' that does vegan / vegetarian meals. Among other places like a coffee shop, a candy place, a sushi place, a bar, a winery, and a bakery etc. It's a great place to find a little bit of everything.
Natali H
This market is one of the first spots I take all of my out-of-town guests. The Spice House, lunch of all kinds to go, fresh produce shopping, and cooking classes - all just a few reasons that I love this place!
Leah Burg
Literally oir favorite place for lunch in Milwaukee. So many choices! Kid-friendly!
H. Lieu
A great spot for local food. Make sure to grab some seafood.
Ольга Демидова
Nice place, but not large enough. The range of products is rather narrow and the prices are high.
Tiffany D
Wonderful market full of delicious food and drink. Located in the historic Third Ward District. Busy place, but still a great place to visit, people watch and enjoy some good eats.
Dys Fox
A very cool community market. There's a ton of variety in places, the food I got while there was very good, and the place itself was clean and well kept. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's a very crowded place, which may make some people uncomfortable.
Sarah Hartman
Great indoor public market in downtown Milwaukee. A plethora of shops selling food, produce, spices, and more. The place is cramped and crowded, but well worth the hassle.
Charlie Ly (I live here!)
Lots of coffee shops... N donuts n Seafoods too. Parking slip got stamp n it was not free for 0-4 hrs...have pay $6.00 for 1.15 HR. Oh well! Otherwise might give a 5 🌟! …
Jason Engel
Solid public market with good selection of local shops. Coffee shop is fantastic and sandwiches at the deli were fresh and homemade. Something for everyone here from fresh meat and fish to homemade candy and ice cream.
Chris Biddle
Excellent variety of things here, mostly food, collectables, and other stuff. I can't wait to go back.
Elizabeth Shereen
great vegan food at On The Bus!
this building is a great place for coffee, restaurant food, and flavored olive oil. there is also a selection of produce, small chocolates and a few kitchen supplies.
Julie S
So many delicious choices! We always find something new and amazing when we visit the Public Market. The St.Paul Fish Co. has Squaw Candy (a sweet Salmon jerky) that I haven't seen since my days living in Alaska. Super fun find!
Rachel Chapin
Honestly it's overwhelming with everything in there. In subsequent trips I hope to be able to take in more each time. What a superb selection. From St Paul's fish, to various deli items, to other full restaurants, a taco window I saw, wines, it's all in there.
Hovo Sepuhyan
Lobster roll is a must. I havent had any better
Angel Gonzalez
Cool place to visit and browse.
Charles Joseph
I'd give the place five stars if it wasn't so darn expensive. If you're a person who can overlook the high prices, then it's definitely a five star type of place. The atmosphere is charged. There are shops everywhere, with different types of food. The place is definitely worthy of a visit.
Finding Faith
great place somewhere to grab something quick a beer or coffee, or sandwich. There used to be some cool stuff in there like a bear on a wire. not anymore though.
efrain quiroz
It's going to be packed to be ready. It's a very nice place to get some fresh groceries if needed but I went for the sweets and they have a couple of places to get something for ur sweet tooth.
Martin H
Small shop market with mix of shopping and eating. 2nd floor dinning room closed due to COVID 19, had to eat outside on a picnic bench set up in the parking lot.
Bright Liwanag
Love the lobster roll at St. Paul Fish Company!
Trae Herring
This stop was one of the best on our trip. Great market with a variety of shops. St Paul Seafood is an absolute must for lunch!
Ruby Tapia
Great place to bring the family! Pricing is decent, not incredibly marked up unlike other places. Will definitely be coming back.
Nicole Leonard
Free parking if you're in and out within an hour...be careful though because it's probably the worst parking lot I've ever seen. They have a wide variety of options for eating on site or shopping for home. There's also an amazing t-shirt/souvernir store. Absolutely love this place! An absolute must stop when in the city.
Andrew Kailhofer
Love going here when i can. Good food options. Spices! Coffee! Sweets! Flowers! Parking often tight.
Jay Briggs
There is something here for everyone! I love this destination. If you are near by you better stop here!
Talea Bloom
Parking here was a breeze especially impressive for a busy holiday.
My friend and I visited a few weeks ago and where delighted by the variety of food stalls and vendors. The space is quite large. The busteling atmosphere is electric here.
You can find arts and crafts as well as food from around the world. We where particularly impressed with the fish market, the vegetarian place opposite the wine bar and the wine bar itself.
We wound up eating our vegetarian meal made of smoked tempeh salad and vegetarian goat cheese Panini at the wine bar and the manager there was kind enough to suggest wine flights to go with our food.
We'll be back.
Misty W
Great market! So much delicious food. We stopped at least 3 times on our weekend in Milwaukee.
Eric Liebe
We love to visit here every time we come to Milwaukee. It has a little bit of everything from food, candy, pastries, beer, wine and souvenirs from brew city t's.

Fun and enjoyable experience! Honestly, I didn't expect to find a venue like Milwaukee Public Market while visiting the city. This was my first visit to downtown Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Public Market. My colleagues and I were on a short business trip for one day and night. After finishing our work, my colleagues suggested a late lunch and visit to Milwaukee Public Market. Obviously, they had both visited Milwaukee and Milwaukee Public Market. The market is very similar to markets I have visited in Boston and Seattle. My colleagues wanted to have a late lunch at St. Paul's Fish Company, both having dined here on previous visits. Their suggestion was excellent! Fantastic food and beverages. As the name suggests, St. Paul's is reputed for their seafood menu. However, if you're not looking for seafood, the Milwaukee Public Market has many dining options available. There is also many other various shops and attractions within the market. The market is enclosed inside a building, offering year round protection from the elements. Of course, since my visit was during winter, and the ambient outside temperature of approximately 10 degrees, the Milwaukee Public Market was a great place to visit on a very cold day. My personal observation indicated a nice mix of locals and tourists. If you find yourself in Milwaukee, I highly recommend a visit to the Milwaukee Public Market. It's fun and enjoyable for all ages!
Valerie Norstrem
Spice house was great. Easy parking on a weekday. Bakery items looked great. Prices were to be expected for a downtown location. Good place to take visitors to get a taste of Milwaukee
Enoch Rasmussen
You'll find lots of local shops and restaurants inside this very cool market. Also there is an upstairs seating area that is perfect to sit and eat or meet with friends!

This place was awesome!! Went to grab lunch with a friend before we flew out of Milwaukee and I had a great time just walking around the market checking out all the vendors. It was very crowded and for good reason. All the food looked awesome, the prices were very reasonable and the environment was so comfortable. Highly recommend for an afternoon outing.
Andy P
It's crowded at times if that is your thing you are in right spot. Best way i found to go there is go tothe veterans park leave you car there and hitch a ride on the street car. Great food choices and really nice cookie place inside.
Punit Omar
Very very crowded. Go there only if you have absolutely no fear of covid, and you've taken 4-5 covid booster shots. Otherwise a good place overall to have quick bites of food. Outside seating is also available.
AG Lopez

Milwaukee public Market great place to enjoy a variety of foods and drinks of all types. Cute shops with a local fare.
Ric Henderson
Never been to Milwaukee before and our Uber driver suggested going here. Very cool place, must see to truly appreciate. It's like a big indoor street food market. High quality vendors occupy this old, historic building with pretty much any food you can imagine....and beer. Very crowded on Saturday but worth it. Best advice - go with an empty stomach! There is even a big butcher area with a huge selection of fresh cut meats, seafood and sausages.
duane leach
It was very different experience for me in a good way. Definitely will be go back.
Benjamin Effa
Amazing as always! Must stop when in Milwaukee. Great paninis and sweet treats.

Expensive and crowded. I guess that's good business. High quality stuff, but the road construction is a nightmare around there.
Juliana Ferguson
This place had so many food options and cute places to shop! I just stopped by for a quick snack on my way to Chicago and got a funfetti cookie and iced latte. Both were excellent!

I've been coming to the MPM for at least 8 years now. The selection of vendors has changed over time, but the quality of food and selection remains unmatched. You can buy groceries for the week and also get a meal for the day, finished off with some coffee. Clean seating upstairs to enjoy some people watching as well!
Davon C
Good place. Excellent food at the fish market 😋 will return 👌 …

MUST VISIT WHEN IN MILWAUKEE!
The food and ambience here are fantastic! I specifically enjoyed the catfish fry and clam chowder from the fish market. It was 100000 out of 10. The mango lassi from Aladdin was immaculate too. Desserts were amazing (PLEASE try the cherry cheesecake) and we got some souvenirs (stickers and a shirt) from the store too. Will definitely visit again next time!
Gene Doverspike
We had a lake perch sandwich & a grilled Italian & they were delicious!
MS B
Love this place! So many cool options to eat and it's always lively and fun! Can't go wrong here...and the prices are reasonable as well.

Whenever I am in Milwaukee, i head to this market.
Food is fresh and the shop owners and staff are very friendly.
The building is also totally enclosed, which helps when Milwaukee is having some of its cooler weather moments.

This place is SUPER busy, but for good reason! A lot of different food options to get something to go! We tried the Mediterranean place and the food was excellent. Also visited the candy and bakery shop. If you are looking for a good to-go place in Milwaukee, stop by here. You won't be disappointed.
Nikki's Crafty Life (Nikki's Crafty Life)
This is a great place to eat, and seems to be a good way for newer restaurants to get established. We went there about an hour before they closed, and it was still very busy. My family all liked their food, and it was nice to go to one location that made everyone happy. My only complaint was the place with the bus decor. I can't recall the name, but their service was slow and inattentive. He were standing there for 25 minutes waiting for smoothies, and when I asked how much longer it would be, the woman casually pointed and said they were on the shelf. I hadn't even noticed a shelf, and she insisted she'd told us they were there. If she did, it was too quiet for me to hear her. I'm not sure why she thought we were still standing there if we knew they were ready.
Elvira Osornio
Excellent selection of everything yummy. Nice place to visit
Brenda Kennedy
First time there had a great time. Lots of different vendors to look at. Big variety!!! Ate at st.Paul resturant. Had the walleye basket and a bloody Mary with shrimp and lobster claw. Will definitely be going back
Gregg S
It's pretty crowded on the weekends but there are some great places in there
Mr. Jim Business
I have visited MKE several times over the past few years for work and just discovered this place. Now a far walk from downtown hotel, this market offers something for everyone. Seafood, sandwiches, Thai, bbq, Mexican, vegan, local beers and wine. Sorta a food hall with provisions. Check out this place if in town. It’s a worthy stop!
Jerry Stout
Lots of options and most very good. Staff of vendors very helpful and friendly. However due to nature of business it is crowded and noisy. Just be prepared.
Carey Shea
Short 15 min wait for a table on a Tuesday at 1 pm. Food was great. Has shrimp Caesar salad. Lots of large grilled shrimp. Fresh greens. Lots of grated parmesan cheese. Highly recommended
Drew Shemenski
This place is so cool. Wine, spices, fresh meat and fish, and lots of great food vendors.
Chuck Burns
This is my favorite place to go while in Milwaukee. Amazing food and just a fun place to go when you need to get inside.
