First time here while visiting Milwaukee and I was not disappointed. We had a fabulous lunch. I had the spicy sausage and pepperoni calzone, we also had a pepperoni pizza. All was delicious. We shopped after eating and enjoyed the store. Looking forward to coming back.

I love coming to Glorioso's! They have the best selection of pasta sauces and fresh made pasta. They also have an extensive selection of wine to choose from! In addition, they have a great deli to get meats and salads. They also have a variety of cheese and bread!

Best Italian beef in the city! Great desserts. Excellent food. 8/10 on attitude/friendly environment, would be a 10/10 if the guys in the back that make the sandwiches were a little more friendly, everyone else the exception. Have tried the Italian beef 🔥🔥🔥, black cherry cheesecake 🔥🔥, parm chicken sandwich🔥🔥, calzone 🔥. Prices are excellent on the sandwiches. Dessert are expensive but worth it if your a sweet tooth like myself. They also have a outside sitting area in a great neighborhood right off Brady. I hope this place stays open forever!

Absolutely incredible! First time here and within 3 minutes of entering Michael Glorioso stopped me to ensure I was finding what I needed. Family owned and operated. Impeccable service and curated selection. Human torch sandwich was one of the best Italian subs I have ever had. I will be back!

We recently placed a catering order, and I can’t say enough good things about the whole experience. The food was amazing, fairly priced, and easy to order/pickup. Our order was for 15 people and everyone at our backyard party loved it! Best Italian beef I’ve ever had, and the tiramisu was phenomenal. We grocery shop here often, but we definitely plan to order catering again — even for a small group. Thank you!

Almost every holiday season, I take my kid's Nonna to Glorioso's to buy the ingredients to make home made ravioli which we have at Thanksgiving. Making it together this weekend to put in the freezer for the big feast! Although it is getting hard for her to walk, it's always a special trip. She never fails to ask me "Did you ever go when it was across the street?" We appreciate the quality, friendliness, and timelessness of such a great Milwaukee Italian grocer experience. Thank you.

AWESOME! We got an Italian Cubano, and a Caprese cold sandwhich. They were both great, and just so well made. Fresh bread, fresh cheese, freshly cut meat, grilled perfectly, and quick too. Such an amazing selection of Italian meats and cheeses, but we were only there for the sandwiches. Not too expensive either! Perfect size and price for lunch. I'll for sure be coming back!

I’ve now been to this wonderful gem countless times. You pay for way you get here, QUALITY! The week of Thanksgiving the owners were there greeting their customers and making sure everything was to their satisfaction which was a very nice touch and greatly appreciated. I love this place but was recently disappointed. Tried to order small antipasto tray a week ahead. Was told they are no longer taking any orders until after the holidays. Never had a problem before. I don't have time to make my own. Thankfully, found another Italian specialty market happy to help.

Today was our first time here and it didn’t disappoint. We got two sandwiches from the deli & some garlic breadsticks along with fettucini alfredo with chicken. Everyone who works here is super nice. Getting the deli is always a treat for lunch as well! When we had guests in town we took them here for lunch one day and they ended up wanting it again a couple days later. Their gelato, cannolis and red velvets cakes are our favorites too.

A great and convenient place for groceries on the east side. The deli serves some tasty sandwiches (the Milwaukee muffalatta and veggie paesano are some of my favorites) and the hot ham and rolls on Sunday is a good deal as well. It's a great stop if you're looking to put together some charcuterie, or obviously if you need some specialty ingredients for Italian dishes. They have a good alcohol section as well, and their house Moscato is a favorite dessert wine among my friends. Lastly, you can't go wrong with their baked goods, lots of tasty breads and sweets to choose from.

My husband and I got married on April 16, 2022. We had a rehearsal dinner the night before at Broken Bat Brewery. The brewery doesn’t serve food, so we were in need of catering for our group. I love Italian food and have always wanted to try Glorioso’s, so this was the perfect time to experience their delicious food! I inquired about catering for our event and was in touch with Lori. She is a great communicator and extremely helpful. After email exchanges, we met her in person at the market. Lori helped us decide what to get, as well as guided us on how much food to order for our group size. Glorioso’s has so many options, it was hard to choose! They even helped cater to a couple of our vegan guests. Catering the actual event went smoothly and we couldn’t be happier with the service! They delivered promptly and did a quick set-up. Everyone at our rehearsal dinner kept talking about the food. Anyone else I reached out to about catering, gave us a higher quote. We were surprised with the amount of food (and quality) Glorioso’s offered for such an affordable price. After this, we plan on being regulars and getting food from the market anytime we’re on that side of town. Everything is delicious and they are a perfect catering choice if you’re going the Italian route!

Glorioso’s is my favorite Italian Market and Delicatessen in Milwaukee. Their Italian sausages, beef and extensive deli are all outstanding and their catering services are top-notch. If you find yourself on Milwaukee’s East Side, I strongly recommend stopping in for lunch for a calzone or meatball sandwich. This family-owned Italian business prides itself on great service and great food.

A true Milwaukee gem. I've been coming here my whole life, although that started back when they were in the original (and smaller) location. Great deli, delicious sausages, and they carry a lot of Peter Scortino's breads and cookies. You can't get their gelato or sorbetto by the scoop anymore, but you can still get larger containers of it. They even carry gluten free dried pasta, and still carry on the tradition of Hot Ham Sunday. A must-do, whether you're looking for food for lunch or actual groceries.

Excellent. Try Italian beef and provolone with hot (I like hot) or mild giardinara with au jus...and that is only one of many on menu. Don't forget the vegetable pasta salad and the lasagna and/or meatballs. Meanwhile, you have quite a selection of Italian cheese products and...you really should go, see, taste for yourself. I have for over 40+ years.

Fine Italian groceries and food in the old school tradition. From the hot and sweet sausage is made right on site to the small selection of very very good meats. Pizza and sandwiches made to order, I recommend the Italian beef sandwich fantastic wonderful. They have a little personal pizzas that's just the right size for a person to have a really satisfying lunch. Been going here for seven years since I moved into Milwaukee. The wall of cheese is truly a sight to behold.

Thankfully, I discovered Glorioso's and that void in my soul has been filled up x10! This place is huge (compared to the Italian markets I'm used to) and has everything you could want/need for this kind of place.

Don't let the fact that I used to wait on the lovely couple who own this establishment at another fantastic food vendor (the tragically defunct Cempazuchi Comida Brava) on their same side of ever-trendier and -evolving Historic Brady Street in the heart of national (FINALLY!!) up and coming town Milwaukee (come a long way haven't we, kids?!) allow for you to think it has any bearing on my glowing review of this marvelous 74-years-young independent Italian grocery institution (since 1946!). This place is a true gem! My "Milwaukee Muffalatta" was hot and delicious (yes, I ordered it hot, so I was not surprised). Large selection of cheese, wine, meats, and probably every other type of Italian food and drink that you could want. As a new resident of the area I am very excited to return frequently. Okay, but kind of rude at the deli. The kid at the counter got snippy with me. He put in the sandwich order all wrong. I know this because I came home only to find the wrong ingredients on both of our sandwiches. My partner ordered balsamic vinegar on theirs and it came on mine, soaked the whole loaf of bread, in addition to the wrong ingredients on both sandwiches. :( Not worth $17. I think I will be calling in my order from now on just in case.

Good selection... But super over priced. Would only go to get sauce... Anything else is an arm and a leg. Selective shopping... The deli use to have soup and now they don't carry it or bbq chicken flatbread. Super disappointed

When I'm back in my hometown of MKE I always stop here. This time I just got through eating at a buffet and stopped in at Glorioso's for some groceries, and I instantly got hungry again. I truly LOVE this place. It was right at closing time but Michael G. still hooked me up with 3 lbs of the best Italian sausage in town, a tub of Italian Beef and he helped me remember the giardiniera and mozzarella to go with it, which I would have forgot. Superb personal service is one of their greatest features that I very much appreciate. I wish they would expand to North Louisiana where I live. Add-On> 04-23-2022. Once again a top notch culinary experience at Glorioso's. I really wish I lived next door to the place. Add-On> 01-13-2023. In for a tune up. Had to have an Italian beef, a Sausage and a basket full of Italian Groceries. Wonderful as always, and I love supporting this local Italian Grocery Store, Deli, and Institution. great stop for some authentic Italian food. On the pricier side, but perhaps that's just groceries nowadays. I've tried on two occasions to pick up the french bread but haven't had a really fresh one yet. Perhaps because it was later in the afternoon.

Not impressed with the Meatball Sub, and the kind of rushed service there, but they have it all Italiano. I expected more low key, and friendly service, but hey I am slowing down a bit. Next time will try the Italian Beef, it is more their specialty. There are some good photo's around of the family, it is kind of a nice field trip, I would recommend it if you are on Brady Street.

This place is full of delicious Italian food! Whether it's a salad, sandwich, or prepared pasta from their deli or it's a yummy take and bake pizza or tasty gelato, you can't go wrong at Glorioso's. We like to get a bag of frozen stuffed pasta (the butternut squash ravioli is delish!) and have it on hand for those times when it seems like there's nothing in the house to eat! Their Italian cheese selection is huge! Since COVID, the Deli menu has shrunk a bit but there's always plenty of tempting treats and foods!

Have been shopping there for over 30 years. Everything is amazing. We always get Muffaletta and Italian beef sandwiches, the best! I stock up on my Italian pantry staples, Italian sausages and brats. I get their homemade marinara sauce, keep it in the freezer to top the sausages after we grill them. You can't go wrong with anything you get there

We have patronized Glorioso's in the past for minor items however this is the first time we had them cater our entire Christmas Eve dinner. We haven't quite eaten yet however everything looks absolutely fantastic the order is perfect and we are so looking forward to a great meal. Love this place. They carry the best sicilian cold pressed olive oil (organic Paesano) and their octopus salad is worth the drive in alone. A little disappointed they were sold out of my favorite Panetonne for Christmas, but I know it is hard to keep stock lately everywhere.

This was such a cool experience. My friends and I were visiting from out of town and we went here to pick up supplies for dinner. They had a wide variety of meats, cheeses, and ingredients. I really like the products and food but they need to have a numbering system at the deli for customers waiting to be served. I waited 30 minutes before they took my order. Many people would just skip in front of me which is not fair. They say next but without a numbering ticket it just doesn't work. My advice implement a pull ticket number so the correct person waiting can be served. I will give it a higher rating if this is done.

I picked up some ingredients for pasta and had the loveliest service. Got some great suggestions from people behind the counter. The mozzarella, pasta, sausage, and sorbetto I picked up were all amazing. I would go elsewhere for espresso, though.

East side of Milwaukee is chaos but you really need to fight through it and find all the great finds here. I bought fresh pasta salads and a big chunk of pepperoni/ salami style. Boy do I miss home. Parking is scary and be prepared to walk. You won't regret it.

I could spend hours here. It's so sad that more specialty grocery stores don't exist in Milwaukee. I came her for 00 flour. It was the only place in MKE I could fine 00 flour. They also have a ton of different olive oils, meats, pastries, cheeses. The prices are totally comparable to a standard grocery store too! Love it.

What can I say? This market is a treasure. The choices of provolone are greater than some cheese isles in other markets. Friendly staff, reasonable pricing. Cant find 00 flour in Madison anywhere but of course you can find it here.

I love the meatballs. However the bread is always or ashtrays seem old. Such delicious meats and cheeses ruin by a mediocre bread. This is the 3rd time I was let down with the bread. Other than that it's a great place with an awesome variety of items. Chocolate eclair was also a let down.

I'm so grateful to have Gloroiso's Italian Market in my hood. The bakery is divine, the meat + cheese departments are fresh, and pasta selection is outstanding. Glorioso's has all the staples you need to make excellent Italian food - including plenty of different wines! Of course, the deli is not-to-be-missed. A muffuletta sandwich to go? Yes, please.

First time I visited this place, I loved it. Although the selection is limited the quality of this Italian grocer it's very good. I thought the prices might be much more than you would expect to pay at a full-service grocer, but was surprised to see that they were still competitively priced. They have an excellent Deli, a great cheese selection, a fairly good sized wine department. It's kind of odd that this was the only grocery within a mile that I could get anchovies at. I know that might seem weird, but there are several big box grocery stores in the area that don't carry a good variety of Italian specialties.

Very cute little upscale market and Deli. It reminds me of a smaller version of Eatily. Prices are a tad on the high side; but the food was fantastic. I bought their homemade meat sauce which was exceptional. We tried the meat arancini - first time we've had any - and it was delish! It appeared that they also had a nice wine selection, Italian meat selection, and a really great looking bakery. They have chocolate covered cannoli that looked tantalizing and a nice fresh olive selection. Staff was all friendly and helpful.

This place is amazing! There's a hot deli, serving delicious food, from sandwiches to risotto, with fairly decent prices and fairly large portions. Not only that, there's also a dessert counter, with chocolatey sweets, ice cream, and refreshing coffees! And to top it all off, it's a grocery store, complete with all the food-related necessities of everyday life, and plenty of extra sweets and salty treats that aren't exactly necessities! I've never had unkind employees: in fact, many are talkative and inviting, and very helpful if you have any questions! Edit: I had one bad experience as detailed below. But I have had about 10 good experiences there since. There was a piece of plastic the size of half my pinky nail in my bowl of pasta. This could have killed some kid who wasn't paying attention. Milwaukee's most published songwriter and pop producer does not approve of your deli.

I love the lasagna, pasta and meatballs, as well as the ravioli. The to go section is awesome, variety of selections on meals to go. They also have a deli and a dessert bar. Excellent cheese and wine selection, as well as home made frozen food options. The pasta sauces are delicious. You can go there hungry and get a hot deli sandwiches then shop for food. It’s on the pricey side, but your worth it.

The Italian Deli is one of the best I've been around here in the Milwaukee area! Need some authentic Italian sausages, cheeses, sauces, etc? Come here, they're amazing. One thing I was a little disappointed in, was that I get their Calzones from time to time, and the last time it looked like it was about 1/2 the size from the one I purchased about only a month before. Not worth dinging them a star for it, but maybe I should bring it to the manager the next time. Nonetheless, the best place to get your ingredients for making your Lasagna!

A nice little charming neighborhood Italian grocery store on Brady Street. This is more of a specialty food store so don't expect massive amounts of every item or a big selection. But what they do have is quality. Try their sauces, amazing. The produce is pretty limited. But the cheese, pasta, and sausage selection is very good. That being said I've never met anyone who goes there who doesn't rave about their deli and specifically the meatball sub. Definitely one of the best I've ever had. Try it.

Oh, mama mia! The decadence of the ingredients here, the rich freshness! I've never been as empowered to cook as I have been after I'm done shopping here. It's difficult to go in here on an empty stomach because of all the walk-a-long treats they sell. The gelato in particular. For good Italian deli meats, cheeses, bakery and hard to find Italian products this is the store to go to. They also make fresh sandwiches in the deli while you wait or while you shop (I think that they make sandwiches all day not just during the lunch hour). Five generations of my family have shopped at this market. There is no parking lot just street parking as the store is in what is known as the 3rd ward in Milwaukee. It is worth the trip though. The store is not that close to where I live so when we go there we stock up with what we need.

So close to a five. The food was excellent, beyond a doubt. The problem is that the space is incredibly close and there was no distancing going on AT ALL. I'm not sure it was even possible when there are no restrictions on how many customers can enter at one time. Staff was masked appropriately, except on younger male employee who had his nose hanging out as he talked over the plexiglass barrier to another employee for an extended period of time. It seemed like he might have been on his lunch break but it was really crowded and he was oblivious to his noncompliance. There were signs and distance markers but most customers, although all appropriately masked, were ignoring them. The employee doing line management was trying but people just seemed unwilling to give way to other customers. It might be better to have someone at the door ala Trader Joe's, letting in a safe number of customers and then only letting someone else in when a customer leaves. I was uncomfortable and probably will wait until this has been ironed out before returning. I wouldn't even feel safe picking up an order. Curbside, a yes.

Recently discussed this and I LOVE IT! If you are from Cleveland, OH area - it is a mini (one store) of the West Side Market. I love the Italian food here. It is FRESH everyday. They have pizzas that are made fresh that you can take home to make in your oven with the easiest instruction on it. Great place to get it Italian Soda from. The prices are all reasonable. Quaint little Italian market. Their deli is wonderful. It is our go to spot to take people visiting who want an unusual spot for lunch, in an Italian market? You select your lunch from a menu hung over the deli. Wait. And when it is ready take it to a little balcony overlooking the market. They make great red sauce to take home, pizzas, and bakery. Parking and traffic are usually an issue but pack your patience. It is worth it!

Fresh product every day with a deli that serves food and seating in front of store. Honestly they can not do wrong here, everything is delicious flavors from all points on the food from in house brands to deli choices, I haven't found anything that one ups their product in Milwaukee

The items here are understandably pricier compared to other groceries nearby, but that shouldn't stop you from shopping here - they have some great Italian fares, from meat cuts to pastas to gelato. They have lots to choose from in each section, and if you ever have trouble getting around or finding something, be sure to ask an employee - they're extremely helpful. If you buy something to eat right away they have a handful of tables near the entrance by the windows where you can sip or eat and watch the busyness of Brady. Great deli, fun shopping, good food and drinks.

A very good Italian market. Nice selection, with a helpful staff. One warning... don't ask their olive oil expert about the difference between different olive oil. A half hour later, you'll still have trouble tearing yourself away. The Sicilian breadcrumbs (their brand) are especially good. The grated romano makes the difference. Great for breading and frying. The deli has a wide variety of charcuterie, offered nowhere else in the city (at least that I know). You can order sandwiches and prepared Italian food. It's a great place to go.

Seriously the best lunch spot in Milwaukee. It is a rare gem to find a place that is this 'local'. I frequent this market on Saturday and the same folks are there passing out samples. You can always spot one of the original Glorioso's brothers working the meat counter or arranging one things in the ailes. Look up the menu, I'm pretty sure you can find something you like. If you are from out of town and want to get a good taste of Milwaukee, this is the choice to make!

Fun place that I'd never noticed while visiting Brady St. Thier pasta selection is obviously impressive as an Italian market, and I got lost in the cheese aisle for a bit too long. They did have an impressive number of beers, wines, and specialty liqueurs. I love Glorioso's: they pack a lot of stuff into a smallish space, and some of the items they have are difficult to find anywhere else in Milwaukee. The market is well stocked with imported cheeses, wines, hard-to-find confections such as panforte, baccala, specialty ravioli, a full line of interesting pastas, and more. The Italian sausage here is the best I've had in the city, and it's a nice treat to have an occasional slice of cassata cake from the dessert section. The deli is marvellous, and it is my go-to spot for spanakopita and arancini. The sandwiches are also very good--the Muffaletta, the Human Torch. I hope this place lasts forever!

Wonderful market with an impressive selection of imported goods. However, the food at the deli left me disappointed. I ordered the penne alla bolognese, and I thought that the sauce would be thick with meat and tomatoes like traditional bolognese sauce, but it was the opposite.. almost like a tomato cream sauce. Also, the pasta was very bland from a lack of salt, which makes me wonder if they adequately salted their pasta water. The truffles tasted like cheap chocolate, and the cannoli was stale. Will be back for shopping, but not for a bite to eat.

Wow! It's a good thing they offer free parking, because there is so much great stuff to buy you'll need a car to get it all home. Glorioso's has a ton of staff and they are all super friendly. This is fantastic when you are trying to choose between the three (!) types of DOP parmesan they have. The deli is amazing. I recommend the arancini and meatballs (regular size). Their take home pizza is much cheaper than delivery and so much better. Lastly, to paraphrase Beauty and the Beast, "Try the red sauce, it's delicious!"

For small-scale or specialty grocery shopping needs, Glorioso's is perfect for East Side residents. They sell a wide selection of meats, cheeses, and a variety of other Italian groceries (among other less Italian options). As an added bonus, they sell ready-to-eat meals including sandwiches, calzones, salads and pizza. They're occasionally sold out of some popular items - but this should be taken as an indication of quality, rather than a stocking issue.

Excellent choices for meats and cheeses. Hot sandwiches available including the Milwaukee style muffaletta. I would recommend getting the pre-made muffalettas for the authentic Decatur Street style or mix it up by taking it home adding crushed red pepper with some Glorioso's Spicy Pizza giardiniera and bake it in the oven for a bit. You can't go wrong any way!

Deli sandwiches were so-so. The market itself was nice. A decent selection of goods for its size. Lots of house branded relishes and sauces. Cannolis were pre-filled.

Quaint and old world Italian Market. The minute you walk in aromas of Italy hit your sense accompanied by Italian music. Quality groceries that include pasta, pasta sauce and local crusty break, cheese, wine and deli items (including mortadella). The deli is great also. A menu of great sandwiches, my favorite: Milwaukee Muffalatta-served on Italian bread, Italian deli meats, cheese and topped with Glorioso's own muffalatta (hot or mild-I prefer hot). The bakery has great items as well, including fresh and authentic cannolis. I always leave with a basketful of delicious items. Their jarred muffallatta is the best.

Our team at work goes here for lunch sometimes. They have good food for lunch and while we wait for our food to be prepared, we do some light shopping for good, Italian food. People usually take their food and go but there is a small sitting area to eat.

Italian beef , pepperocinis , sharp provolone , and meatballs. Add them to your basket with some Scortino rolls , and go home to impress your family with some italian cooking. Wave your hands a little while your talking and you will be judged as genuine Italian.
