This is a great Asian market! They have many fresh vegetables and fruits, canned and dried goods from all over Asia. Seasonings, marinades, soy sauce, fish sauce, canned fruits, they have it all. They also have one of the best seafood counters anywhere. Choose your fish from the huge selection, and they will clean it and cut it any way you like.. Live crabs, live lobsters, live clams, live fish, plus a large selection of frozen fish from around the world. The meat counter is also well stocked with everything you need to make your stews, soups or for your grill. There is also a large supply of kitchen implements including steel woks, porcelain serving dishes and cooking tools. Great store!

What a great find and surprise. Highly recommended place to get fish and all sorts of Asian food. I was able to find my wife’s favorite fish ever! We called in Cuba: Jurel, not sure if that is the real name since here was listed different. Also bought some dumplings and this bamboo thing to cook them. Nice store will come back for sure.

If you're on a hunt for a good Asian market in Louisville this is the place. The amount of goodies and items you can find here is amazing. Everything from delicious items such as frozen boba, snacks of all sorts, and an amazing selection of fresh veggies and meat. The aisles can be narrow, but with so much good stuff who can complain really. They do have bulk items such as rice and ramen. They have tons and tons of sauces to choose from. I settled on so many things, before I knew it my basket was overflowing. If you’re looking for a particular ingredient for a certain dish in Asian cuisine, this would be an excellent resource. They have good prices and good selection but it isn't easy to move throughout the store. it's very congested. If you're looking for rice paper for spring rolls or summer rolls, this is one of the few places that still carry it. Albeit, not as much in stock as they usually carry.

Really good fresh fish available. Many indian fishes such as Bombay duck, surmai and pomfret is available. Shrimps are also available. Would recommend fish lover to visit. Good place.

I absolutely adore this store! There's a fantastic variety of drinks, fresh and frozen foods, and snacks/dried foods that I simply cannot find elsewhere, as well as an aisle of pots and pans and other kitchen tools that I would otherwise need to have shipped to me. It's shame the aisles are so compact, but that's just because the shelves themselves are JAM PACKED with amazing products. By all means, check this place out!

Very nice selection of food you wouldn't find in your typical market. They had a great selection of live fish, crabs and other shellfish for being so far inland. Tons of meat, frozen seafood and bones for stocks and soups. They also had a good selection of fresh veggies and fruits. I also haven't seen a place with a wider selection of fresh noodles for cooking around here. Over all they had the widest selection of regional foods i have ever seen. If youre looking for ingredients for authentic asian and other cuisine, this is a great place to look.

Great selection and variety but at a cost! Higher than average pricing compared to other oriental markets in the city. This is probably the only marketplace that has a good live seafood selection in all of Louisville and that makes me sad. 2 less stars for lack of customer service and two checkout lanes with only one in operation most of the time.

Viet Hoa Market sells some produce items that you cannot purchase year round at kroger or other popular grocers are available here such as kabocha squash. They do not take Debit.

Ah, so the only review for this place here at this time is one-star, which doesn't make sense to me, which is why I'm writing this. Yes, I give it five stars, I love it. I've been shopping here for years. The place is the size of a large-ish neighborhood market, no frills. It's sort of a produce market right up front, then a refrigerated section running up the right side, a frozen section running up the left side, and most of the middle is taken up by grocery aisles, with everything from crockery/utensils to noodles galore to sauces/condiments to canned stuff, snacks etc etc. Roughly a quarter of the store in the back is a seafood/meat section with a fishmonger's/butcher's deal in the very back. I go here in part for the pretty good selection of fresh veggies typical of Asian cuisines. They have a nice selection of mushrooms, some of which are difficult to find at other places, fresh at least, like bunashimeji and trumpet. I like the pricing: fresh shiitake (nice ones, with split tops) are $5.99/lb, which is like a third of what they sell for at Whole Foods. They also always have fresh galangal! Basically their not-so-huge produce section is dense, there is lots of stuff, and the goods have always been in good condition, which is not true of all Asian stores. There's a wide variety of sauces and condiments, I especially like their curry paste selection; there are plenty of vegan ones (e.g. no shrimp paste - they don't say "vegan" but they are per the ingredient list). The back quarter is a combo of frozen seafood and meat etc. in a couple of rows of open chest freezers, and, in the very back, fresh/refrigerated seafood/meat and some live seafood, with a service counter. It's a kind of place where you can get a pig's head or a prepackaged pound or two of actual duck heads or a quart of pig's blood. Not my thing, since I'm eating plant-based only, but if you're an omnivore and adventurous then you might have fun here. Note: the store has always been in good condition, but, because of the back section, it often smells like a fishmonger's. Doesn't bother me at all, just a word of warning if that's a red flag for you, some folks can't stand it. I go there regularly for some fresh produce that's just better and cheaper than elsewhere (when it can be found elsewhere), and also Asian pantry essentials. There's always been traffic. That's my two cents.

Good selection of seafood and meat cuts.. they have a lot of things that other asian markets in the area dont have. Careful though because everything is a little bit more expensive. So if youre doing a second store run that has the same product, it might be cheaper there.
