Awesome items in the aisles. Something to find for everyone. Tasty, healthy, all sorts of things. Good customer service. The cashier was super nice. They have some really tasty guacamole and salsa. Hadn't been to Trader Joe's in a while and this one definitely didn't disappoint!

First time to Trader Joe’s in probably 10 years! This location didn’t disappoint. It was super clean, super busy and had all sorts of cute seasonal items. Produce looked amazing, too although I didn’t get any. Cashier was super friendly!

They are unique, consistent, have items I don't find at other chains or other local/independent grocery stores. Prices are unbeatable for organic products, meats, veggies and so much more. Just wish it were a larger store and it is the only one in whole state of VT. Have loved all my TJs in all the states I have lived. NJ, NY, CT, CA to name a few. Check it out u won't be disappointed in the things u find.

I love visiting this location I always find new treats at an affordable prices. If you have a chance to try the lemon or lavender spray hand sanitizer that's great too. The staff is always available and willing to help with any questions.

Great selection of food. They carry their own brand and they have some really cool stuff that i only find there. The guava passion fruit Greek yogurt is DELICIOUS and so are their dark chocolate peanut butter cups. I literally drive from Montreal to get them!! Plus everyone's super friendly and very helpful.

Really nice place to find some cool things you don't find in or al grocery stores. Some of these are really great finds and taste great. Looking forward to revisit when I'm back in the city. Place was clean, staff was super friendly. Lots of free parking.

Ok it was packed and gave me anxiety but SO MUCH delicious food and great selection and great prices! Also loves the cashier, gave my toddler stickers and a few candies when we said it was our first time. Clean and lots of carts available. Everything stocked! But, will go next time after 7pm.

I absolutely love this place. As I was shopping here, my car battery ended up dying and I was unable to get to my class. I went in to the customer service desk where I was immediately helped. Heather drove her car up to mine, and Maggie instructed me on how to place the jumper cables on my battery. Heather even offered to lend me her cables for the next month while I tried to find another battery/pair of my own. Maggie ended up using her car to jump mine (with the help of a kind stranger and their jumper cables) and I ended up only being 30 minutes late to my class! The employees here have always been so sweet and helpful, and this location has never given me any issues!

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff Fresh produce Kosher meat, fish, cheese, and bread all available Generally well priced compared to competitors Staff will hold items for you if you call in advance Get seasonal fruits like persimmons, pomelo, pomegranate etc Cons: Usually very busy Sometimes this location receives new products late or not at all compared to other locations Sometimes things will go out of stock for a while Occasionally some products have an order cap (like 1 case scallions per day) so they go out of stock quickly

Keep the oak milk flowin’! Good clean store, didn’t like their setup for fruit in the middle of isles, laying in boxes but always good to have a Trader Joe’s. Full grocery shopping here can’t be beat.

Very nice store with extremely pleasant staff. I didn't know some of the products were seasonal ( Mashmallows) and I was getting upset because the black licorice I was looking for was sold out every time we went...but that was until I was told they get daily deliveries and if I call early enough they can set aside any given product they have in stock...so I called early morning and...I got my black licorice !! I hope they will open stores in Canada soon but we will come back anyway.

Bought an overflowing cart of groceries for $170 which right now seems amazing. Many pantry and frozen food options. My favorites include canned tuna (which is just tuna and water), organic corn flakes, Tuscan pane bread and many more.

I'm from plattsburgh ny and we don't have trader Joe's. It was nice to be able to visit a new store. I enjoyed my visit, staff was wonderful and pleasant! We were able to get new kinds of food we aren't able to get here in plattsburgh at decent prices as well so that was nice. The food we did get was really good to! Im excited for my next visit!

We used to love Trader Joe's when it was interesting and quirky. But slowly the interesting items have disappeared -- some of the very items that drew us to Trader Joe's in the first place: purple corn flakes, lemon pappardelle, pulled pork, fresh pasta purses, and a few others items. The wine selection has gotten smaller and boring and the person that made it interesting is gone. It's still a pleasant enough place, but now it's really just another grocery store and not worth the 40-mile drive.

This Trader joe's is wonderful! Like most stores I have been to, even though they do indeed carry many gourmet and organic products, you can usually check off your grocery list your usual milk, eggs, butter, bread etc. at competitive prices as well.

Trader Joe's has a somewhat limited stock capacity but they manage to have a wide variety of your standard groceries as well as a few special items. My fresh produce is almost exclusively bough from here as other stores' products tend to decay before I get to all of it (within a week). TJ's products have always been fresh and surprisingly affordable.

Their selection is unparalleled for the unique and distinctive ... Gluten Free items are plentiful (I recommend the 4-pack of tiny cupcakes! and the pumpkin bagels!) I love the almond flour wraps I tried recently. Lots of non-dairy cheeses, great wines and a nice selection of prepared foods. But what makes this TRADER Joe's stand out is the FREAH CUT FLOWERS. Omg. Plentiful, and such great prices there is no excuse for not brightening up your space w the whimsy and wonder of Nature's creations. Shout out to the South Burlington, VT Trader Joe's!!

Every time I'm in Trader Joe's, I like to try a new item. This trip it was a bottle of unpasteurized OJ. Wow! It tasted so fresh, like ACTUAL fresh squeezed OJ! I've always bought fresh OJ at this specialty shop and pay an arm and a leg for it. This OJ was every bit as delicious and very reasonably priced.

Good prices on organics, frozen food is awesome, staff is friendly, and checkout lines are fast. They are having supply chain issues though. No mac and cheese until August. No goddess dressing. No organic nuts/trail mix.

I love our Trader Joe's. There is an older gentleman who is often in the wine section. He's so helpful and he's managed to hook me up with some really tasty wine for very reasonable prices. Last time I was in there, the cashier knocked my groceries off the little bagging shelf (I had brought my own bag into the store). She quickly and efficiently replaced the damaged items and they replaced my bag with a beautiful new TJ's bag. I was really impressed.

I have to travel quite a way to get here, but I'm always happy when I do. They have great products priced well; in a lot of cases you can't even find comparable items anywhere else in the greater Lake Champlain area. They offer good options for people with various dietary restrictions as well. The staff is always really nice. They are willing to drop what they are doing when they just overhear you can't fine what your looking for and are just generally pleasant to interact with.

A nice store, very clean and well-organized. I noted a fair number of staff re-stocking shelves. Check-out was swift & efficient. My only negative was the volume of the background music. I found it distractingly loud and I ended up cutting my visit short to escape it.

What isn't to love about Trader Joe's?! The location is great, the layout is great and it was immaculate. The staff, as usual with any Trader Joe's I've visited were courteous, friendly and love their jobs! Tonight Joe's was full of wonderful, glorious flowers for Mothers day! If you're looking for high-quality organic convenience foods, this is a good place to try. But if you prefer whole foods and a decent selection of fresh organic produce, I recommend City Market, instead. Trader Joe's has a hip atmosphere, good prices, and friendly staff. But it always seems to be busy and crowded. Despite this, parking is usually hassle-free. Though I do not enjoy my occasional trips to this store, there are a few irresistible items that I can find nowhere else: jalapeno-cilantro hummus, caramelized onion cheddar from England, and dark chocolate covered orange jelly sticks...

Trader Joe's has a great variety of different items. It is always very busy and crowded but there really is no wait in check out. Just remember to bring your own bags or be ready to purchase. Recommend for those with a different palette because there are lots of fun things to try

I love that Trader Joe’s seems to be taking pandemic precautions seriously. They limit the number of people in store, ensure everyone is appropriately masked and even have “high risk” hours. I feel safer shopping for my groceries here.

Trader Joe's is really a great place to go if you are looking for a place to get your groceries at, they have a large variety of all sorts of foods and drinks for great prices. The customer service is great and all of the employees working there love to help you in any way you can. Trader Joe's as usual was a pleasure to shop. Employees could not be more helpful and cheerful to help! I haven't been to trader Joe's in years because I don't have one near my house, so I was excited to find this one while I was in Burlington. I love all the different brands of frozen foods as well as amazing cheeses and nuts. I was excited to get both carne and Pollo asada especially with today being Cinco de Mayo. Although I have never been to a bad trader Joe's, the trader Joe's in Burlington tops them all.

I’ve always been pro Trader Joe’s but the experience I had tonight was like none other. My friend and I went in to buy a bottle of champagne and this glorious employee named Quinn came over to make suggestions. He not only was extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable but also made our experience quite honestly the highlight of my month. He went so far as to give us the usual days he worked and said if we asked the front desk for his help he’d drop what he was doing to come help us (something that I will most certainly do next time I plan on coming). This man is not only the best employee I’ve encountered in a long time but also someone who you can tell genuinely enjoys his job. Good job Trader Joe’s and Quinn the wine guy I will most certainly be raising my glass to you tonight.

My husband and I were in Burlington VT for our anniversary and we stopped into Trader Joe's. The employees were beyond delightful and when one of them heard about our anniversary they brought us a bouquet of flowers and gave us a free bag for our groceries. I was beyond moved.... My wife and I regularly shop here. We love the store. There are so many different varieties of foods to try and at such low costs. We regularly save 30$ bucks every trip here than compared to the grocery stores. Today my wife and I went to swipe our card and pay for our groceries, but because of a direct deposit "snafu" at work, the card was reading 'declined.' We didn't know what to do. We had to transfer funds to complete the payment, but we needed to head to an ATM. The cashier and manager( Jamey) were so nice, understanding, and helpful. Jamey told us to go home, take care of our family and come back when things would be all settled. He was so thoughtful and compassionate for such a small mix up. Needless to say my wife and I were tremendously humbled and thankful. We loaded our groceries, drove to the nearest ATM, and returned to the store and paid Jamey our bill. What a store and what a Manger. I always enjoy the friendliness of the employees of Trader Joes and will always remember the kind gestures of a few of their workers.

Very kind staff. very good about cleaning carts and basks, and only having a certain amount of people in the store at a time. That being said, they often have water for those waiting in line. I've never wanted more than 10 minutes to get in.

Always fun to come here. Reasonable price for items and free of animal testing cleaning supplies. My doggies like their cookies too. Clean place. Parking lot is large, but it's 80 to 90% occupied when I go there. Plenty of open cashiers and staff is helpful.

I would give 5 stars if they had more organic products and more gluten free and dairy free products, and also made it easier to find the gluten free products they do have.

I've loved this TJs from opening day! I had a wonderful experience there yesterday, which I wanted to share in hopes it makes it to the people it should. I took a toddler in to Trader Joes way past his nap time. It was a gamble. He was screaming upon entering because he was in his stroller and he wanted to get up and walk around the store himself. What's a mom to do? If he was this over-tired I was worried he would just run around carelessly and my shopping trip would be over as soon as it started. No less than three TJs employees came to my aid. One handed him stickers while I tried to get him to sit in a cart. Another handed me flowers and said 'here, take these, you need these today' (flowers free of charge). The last offered my little one a tiny shopping cart of his own, which he was extremely pleased with. He gladly paraded around the store with his little cart and picked a few items he wanted. A screaming toddler made 100% happy thanks to helping hands at TJs. I was just so taken aback by this experience and the willingness to help me. It's something you don't experience very often in a retail/grocery store setting. I'm thankful and will definitely continue to bring my business to Trader Joes in South Burlington.

Today, Mary gave my 2yo daughter extra samples and coffee for me - I mean how can you not have a good day starting that way? Then she happened to ring us up at check out and along with great conversation and valuable (chocolate) tips, hooked my little lady up with lots of stickers to make her day! Each time I shop it's a similar situation. On top of all that, I'm able to buy all organic and save so much more $, than if I purchased even mostly conventional items at other grocery stores! TJs has great staples for awesome prices. They have all the basics my wife and I need to get through the work week. Fruits and veggies are always fresh, but choices are limited. Diverse and eclectic. The great advantage of TJs in VT (cf NY) is they are "allowed" to sell wine. The choices have moved on a lot since the days of "two buck Chuck" which is still excellent value but there are other ranges of very high quality globally sourced wines. My Wife and I shop at Trader Joe's a lot. All of TJ's labeled products are at the very least GMO free and this is important to us. The stores are always clean and orderly. The staff at TJ's are always cheerful and helpful. There are many organic and pastured choices, as well. I can always have a small gratis coffee while I shop. If you like quality with value, Trader Joe's will put a smile on your face and help one stay healthy!

*MAGGOT INSIDE PRODUCE* I recently bought a red pepper from this trader Joe's on 12/29/19 around 8:30 at night before they closed, they only had a few peppers for selection. I went home and proceeded to cook dinner I cut the pepper open and it happened to have a very large maggot inside, I love trader Joe's but I'm changing my 5 star review to a 4 for what I found, I am now hesitant to go back because I do not want to find more insects inside my produce. Over all I think trader Joe's is nice but they need to make sure there produce is maggot free.

Trader Joe's staff are the best (well trained and extremely helpful). The store has interesting food selections mixed with gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. I appreciate being able to purchase in normal size containers (not supersized). Cheese and wine selections are ample with modest beer choices. They would get five stars, if not for consistently getting bad avacodos and onions that are bad on the inside. I have learned my lesson and will not purchase these items from TJ.

Crowded every day I go here. Of course, I know from working in retail that it's the consumer's fault, not the business. I think the issue here is that there isn't much community spirit in yielding to people in the checkout line and being patient, like there is at City Market or Healthy Living. It's a bit corporate. Cheap food, cheap alcohol, cheap produce. What did you expect? Their quality control is excellent for a supply chain of their size, and when the budget is tight this is the place to go. Management seems to have things nailed down, it feels like most other TJ's, but it'd be nice to see a little more VT-centric decoration/vibe. The staff here is friendly and always seems to enjoy working here. A lot of residents are still bothered by TJ's moving in right next to Healthy Living, turning away business from HL and sharing the same tiny road. They also forced a couple homeowners to relocate. There's a lot of trouble caused by this little road, especially because drivers here feel no remorse over hitting pedestrians trying to walk between the two stores, or even to their car. Save us all the attitude and be a patient driver if you're going to visit here. Ultimately, I don't see their presence affecting Healthy Living too much, as they definitely cater to a bit of a different market, but I'd be curious to know what the numbers are. Anyway, always clean, courteous, well-stocked. Recommended if you don't want to spend too much for decent groceries.

Wear sunscreen! Right now for COVID -19 they are limiting the number of shoppers inside so you have to line up outside in the sun to wait your turn. It doesn't take too long to get in and shopping inside is very pleasant without crowding, but if you sunburn easily you may want to wear sunscreen when you go.

Trader Joes rocks. They have a great selection of fresh produce, dried goods, meats, cheeses, dried goods, and wine. There is also a hot foods/pretty made section if you need to pop in and grab a quick lunch or dinner. The prices are mostly fair, some things a bit higher in price than your average grocery chain (meats) but I believe that's because the items TJ sources are not from gigantic globo chain producers. They have some items that are sooooo good that you can't find elsewhere, like their dried mango strips or spicy cheese puffs. As a bonus, all the staff members are super friendly and ready to help you out.

This is a newer, quite large and very beautiful Traders. The store is well organized and well stocked with all their typical great products which our family LOVES!!!! WE are SO happy that Trader Joe's is finally in VT!! The down side is the atmosphere. It feels like a supermarket and that's not a good thing!! For starters, this TJs staff could definitely use some more training on the products they carry but more importantly, they need more of that "joie de vivre" that one so excitedly anticipates when they go to a TJs. Take it to the next level. Crank up the tunes so you can at least hear them, have some fun and don't look like you hate your job so much, Get those samples open and share the experience of great food and wine with everyone!!! This trader joes is a little smaller than the usual trader joes. And their location is slightly inconvenient as it's right off of Dorsett st and the traffic can be high. They are also, generally, understaffed. I always have a huge line and rarely someone to ask for assistance. Additionally, i always end up packing my own bags. Nonetheless it is a trader joes and the pricing, food and staff are always great :)
