Reviews of Target
Shima H
There is zero single pair of woman socks, no single woman's XL underwear, not a whole lot of toy selections and not a whole selection of woman's clothing, and no discount areas. This is like a upscale small local decent target store, prices are fair. Tried to found out how much was on my Target gift card the lady at costumer service walked over to the self scanner area and scanned my gift card to find out the price and it was not valid since it had to be done at costumer service area not the self check-out area. I was very confused other than that, Starbucks is always friendly and drinks always taste good here and created with love.
KP PDX
Really bad selection and shelves are always empty, but It’s convenient and always has the yerbas I drink for work which is mainly why I go. Always a homeless gathering going on outside and right inside the entrance by security as well. Other than that it seems like the store is pretty much run by high school girls and to their credit they seem to do okay. It’s just the problems that come with the location unfortunately… Otherwise a pretty decent store, just don’t buy the produce lol

For the love of all that is holy please update your website to ACCURATELY reflect what you ACTUALLY have in stock. Other than that the store is fine but severely lacking in diversity of product since they went from two levels to one.
Cyndi Smith
Decent if you view it as a large convenience store. It has a fraction of the stuff it used to or even compared to other Target stores. I would go here if I need a couple small generic items, but not if I'm looking for something specific.
mikey carrier
If you tell them about the online price the are required to look it up and offer it for that price. Super useful for big purchases. Few items not to useful for a bunch of small items.
Talitha Eicher
Very clean and helpful workers. I guess it is normal in Portland for bathrooms to have coded locks on them so the homeless does not use. The shop is on different floors but they still have everything a 1 floor Target would. We thought it was funny that their were escalators for the carts. (As to why there is a photo of it)
Tracy Strickland
I think of this as a mini Target and living downtown it's nice having there. Inside is always kept clean and staff is friendly. As for all the comments about homeless outside. There's normally 1 near the door and it's always someone just holding a sign and not speaking nor bothering anyone.
Justin Kwon
Kind of a small target...but the people who work here are nice.
Rose Layton
This is a very strange Target. I guess if I needed some common household goods it’s fine but the lack of options outside of the food aisles was very apparent. I was almost expecting a second floor, but there is none. It’s a design problem, imo, but the store itself was clean enough and well-staffed.
Also, not a good idea to believe the app when it says something is in stock, unless they’re hiding things in the back to do pickup/delivery, it lies.
Jacquline Ohmer
I try to lean on the positive side, but this one employee made me very uncomfortable during my trip today. TLDR: Fitting room lock was broken, employee followed me around, then almost didn't let me have my debit card back.
I went to use the fitting room, and the lock wasn't working. I ended up making an "in use" sign, and tried on my clothes. They weren't right for me, so I went to grab the right size. That's when the employee started following me. I got my things, went to check out, then realized I left my debit card in the fitting room. I let the front attendant know, she was fine and said I could go get it. I went back, that employee was there. They were hesitant to let me into the fitting room (which they locked from the outside). Their demeanor made me feel uncomfortable. Not cool...
Adam Bliven
I've been to a lot of Target stores in my travel, but this one outshines the rest. The store is immaculate, well stocked (without being overstocked), and the associates are always willing to help me find things. Bravo!
anna preble
Target is ok but it's not my supplier of choice - the downtown location is very convenient and was a good payoff when I didn't have time to go to a larger store. For me the biggest draw was dropping off recycling while I shopped. However during their recent renovation the downtown target removed most, if not all, of the non-curbside recycling. They no longer accept plastic bags, batteries, or electronics. The residents if Westside Portland have even fewer recycling options.

Now that the store has downsized and relocated to the first floor, it has a much different feel. The old store had a larger selection but also had a lot of sketchy people hanging around. There were just too many places for weird people to hide out. The worst part was the long line of smelly people standing inside the store to return cans. Made for a bad experience and it's too bad they could not find a better solution.. Now that it's on the first floor it doesn't feel as sketchy. It has all the basics and they got rid of a lot of stuff that probably did not sell in a downtown location but for your basics and a limited selection of clothes, this is a good place to check out. Also, the food selection is decent for a downtown store.

I just started shopping at the "new" Target in the Portland Galleria and it's a wonderful store! The "old" store -- in the same building -- was multi-level and this "new" store (which is right next door to the "old" store) is one level, which is nice! And as a vegan, who is a total "bargain shopper," I really appreciate the selection of foods, and other vegan products, that Target has at such affordable prices! Plus, the Target Circle Rewards program is really "rewarding" (pun intended), because I save 0.01% every time I shop, which I can use toward a future purchase.
Matt Dolge
Your standard target winter everything that you would expect. It doesn't get five stars because of the image I posted and also the bathrooms were out of service. Btw, the security guard reality knows how to dance.
Kendra H
The employees at this store are so nice. Multiple people offered to help me with an online order pickup and then they surprised me with a bagload of free samples. Best target trip ever. 😁 …
Lydia Cheng
Convenient location but there is less variety/stock in this Target compared to other ones. Great if you’re stocking on bare essentials only. Not much stock in this location otherwise.
Mark Basta (N0p3Mark)
Very clean store. Staff does a great job maintaining. Cashier was courteous to everyone in queue, myself included.
Jaclyn Smith
The staff here is really friendly and helpful. Also, the store is clean and well stocked.
I visit this store regularly and I love it. However, I have to give the store 3 stars as they have started using plastic bags at the checkout which is a violation of the plastic bag ban in Portland.
I'll be happy to give them my previous 5-star review once they go back to using paper bags.
Jacob Emeterio
The new Downtown Target store is beautiful, well-organized, and has nice employees. They do sometimes have stock issues, but that could be attributed to everyone being at home from COVID-19. I wrote a bad review in 2017, which still stands, however they have made vast improvements.
Mandy
The customer service here is always pretty consistent. I really wish it was a bigger store because there are a lot of things I see from target that I would like to get at this location. I also wish they had a much bigger seasonal section. The ground floor entrance and sidewalk outside can be a little scary at times because of the way the city of Portland isn’t handling the homeless crisis.
Christian Grand
Quality consumer goods at fair prices. This one is a little abridged since it's downtown, but still great.
Shivani Wanjara
Not as big as the store near Washington square. But it’s a good store. Decent size but sometimes the stock is low if you see something online. I would check if it’s available in the store. Since it’s a smaller store. Nice staff. Really ready to commute there since it right between a max and streetcar stop. Easy to commute in downtown!!
Katie Weinberg
Seems like they've gone a bit downhill since opening a few years ago. The selection has never been great compared to a normal Target, however now, it seems the shelves are usually not stocked. They're bare. I'm not sure who's in charge of ordering, but perhaps they should find someone new. Three stars for being convenient in the downtown area to pick up food items (even though you never know if they'll be stocked or not).
Delta Shelta
The employees seem to do their best dealing with the amount of homeless traffic downtown. This is my go to store and they are always kind and respectful.
Katherine Parker
The cashier was awesome. It is like any other Target with a Starbucks. I have an objection to most department stores that sell clothes because they discriminate against larger size women. Over half of the female population is size 14 or above, but you would never know that to walk into a place like this. They have a Plus size section, but they fill it with the clearance stuff from the smaller sizes. They literally had three racks of plus size clothes. That's it. I was looking for a coat or jacket and they didn't have any in the plus size. Not even a sweater.
Heather “Miss Heather”
Nice store. They should match the products being advertised in the current circular to attract loyal customers, not doing so makes them seem like a rip-off. Staff seems mildly untrained. Store has great potential. Wonderful for checking out products and browsing. Nothing in women's clothing larger than 2X.
Stephen Tortora-Lee
Interesting location. It would be greatly improved for me if I hadn't had to go through so many twists and turns inside the building to get to the store itself. It has a lot of fairly fancy sustainable groceries as well as junk food but I didn't look much beyond the grocery section.
Looking forward to visiting again and seeing if I can find a more convenient way in. But interesting selection.
Jenelle Peterson
The selection is smaller than other Target centers but they should have everything you need. The whole appeal of this place lies in the fact that it is very convenient to folks who live or are staying downtown and can't easily get out to the big big box stores in the burbs. In that respect, it's a smashing success.
Marshall Steeves
I couldn't survive without this Target. It's SO convenient, has everything I need, and at a good price. The order and pickup is a dream -- I honestly can't express how nice it is to have. I hope this Target stays forever. It's a MUST when staying downtown.
kirkdis
Good and cheap supermarket which offers all you need.
crystal storm
This store is ok for one that is in a area of town with a lot of homeless ones around. However i do need to say this. Sometimes the workers there are rude. One time i went up to pay for my things the cashier rang everything up and put it in the bag. When i looked around for a minute to see if there is any thing else i wanted to buy the gloves that i had payed for came up missing. How did that happen? I did not take them out and i saw her put everything in the bag. The bad thing is that i did not notice that the gloves where gone until i left the store.
Dashton Peccia
Very convenient if living down town since other options are a bit further away. Definitely a better atmosphere than most stores in the downtown area (many of them have problems with security). Make sure to call before you come here as they don't stock / carry as many items as most targets.
Ed Degeneffe
It's Target! They have a great selection of reasonably priced goods, the associates are friendly but not pushy, and they have escalators! I go here all the time to pick up snacks on my way home from work, and it's always a great experience.
Patrick Engelking
I had the best experience with Cori at this Target! She not only helped me find a great bike, she also went out of her way to realign my front tire. Much appreciated! -Deanna
Shiloh Romero
Great place for food, grocery and whatever else you're looking for. Employees are friendly and nothing us overly expensive. The store also has a place to eat and grab coffee at the entrance.
Only real complaint is that the bathrooms have passwords you have to ask for, but I can understand why they would have it in place.
Atira Casburn
Convenient location for those frequenting the downtown area. They have a decent selection of all the basics but not as much variety as a typical suburban location.
I had a friend order something for my son on the website for in-store pickup. The process was extremely simple. I would definitely come back.
Zombie Ninja Squirrel
Target Galleria is on my way to work. So it’s highly convenient for me to stop there. I ordered some Beats Solo 3 headphones Friday evening and picked them up Saturday morning. I was in and out in a few minutes. I love it!
Brian Bawol
A downtown Target store that has all of the goods you would expect out of a Target with the convenience of being in the central business district of a larger city. The staff were helpful, the place is clean, there are code pads on the restroom doors since there is a pretty significant homeless population down by the store. There is a Starbucks located on the ground floor if you need to get in and out for a quick caffeine fix.
You may have to travel up and down throughout the store as it is multiple levels, however I was able to get in and out rather quickly finding the product I was looking for on the third floor with no problem.
Rickey Ennis
It is so convenient, and has a decent selection of products available. But what really put it over the top for me was the customer service. This is the one store i have been to in many years where they actually had enough employees to do the job, no long lines, no waits. And everyone who i interacted witht hat worked there was in a great mood. That tells me this is a good place to be.
Stephen Weber (France Hopper)
Located right off the MAX and Streetcar, this location is super easy to get to via public transport. If you drive, the building does have its own garage underground or use SmartPark right next door. As a former City Target, this location isn't huge, but generally is stocked well with a good selection. Employees are also very helpful.
J P
Surprisingly seems to have what I'm looking for AND is somehow in downtown, precluding the need to cross over a bridge and drain precious time out of my life. Also, the staff here have been far superior in terms of friendliness and diversity relative to other stores in its class I've been to. It seems like that staff are trying to hold back even more friendliness to stay professional, but they want to engage me more. It's endearing.
Tessa Novak
City Target may be small, but it's got the basics: a little grocery section, plenty of housewares and paper goods, seasonal decor, electronics, and clothing. There's a good chance that you'll find what you're looking for. The pharmacy is particularly good: fast, efficient, and they'll text you when your prescription is ready.
Hakhamanesh Mashayekhi
It's a nice target store. The food section is pretty big. Drug store (supported by CVS) is awesome. The only negative aspect is about home appliances, I wished they provide more stuffs.
j spain Greene
The problem with the urban Target stores, convenient as they are to have in the middle of downtown, is that the inventory tends to be considerably less than suburban branches AND quite a bit more expensive. This Target does have a parking lot and they will validate your ticket - but if you need specific things, you might want to hit a different location.
Brett Harper (Killer Space Bunny)
I used to live on 11th and Alder. Loved living there. Miss it actually. I used to do all of my grocery shopping, well, most of it, here at this very Target. The staff are very friendly, have personality, and the store's layout is super easy to navigate. Their prices are pretty good surprisingly on groceries and they run regular sales. Gotta check it out if you haven't yet.
Damian Meyer
Sean was incredibly helpful when I called, dropped what he was doing to go check on an item for me. You guys have it and because of his excellent service, I will be dropping in shortly to make a purchase.
Keep up the good work Sean, and someone give that man a raise!
Taylor Chaparro
Unexpectedly clean for a downtown Target. Selection isn't great but essentials are there.
Kathryn Watson
I always recommend Target to people. It's clean, calm, brightly lit and well organized. That's saying something because I have massive anxiety and shopping is difficult for me. I love Target.
Lamon Hope
Great Staff. Very nice very polite very kind. Professional. Great teamwork . Great customer service. Great experience! Good job yall
Lily LoBasso
It's definitely handy having a Target downtown I hit on my way home or can run to quickly to grab something. It's a fairly nice looking store and the employees are generally nice. However, the stocked inventory for this store straight up sucks. I swear this store just always happens to be out of something when I need it and the item won't come in for weeks. And this is even the case with Up&Up products, which you would think they'd keep around. On top of that, almost everything has a markup of some sorry due to it being the downtown location. Some things have less than a dollar tacked on, and other things cost double. (i.e. The tone correcting powder by e.l.f. makeup is $4 at any other target, but at this one, it's $8. It's ridiculous...)
urbanphotos
It's a mini-Target split between two floors. Small selection of everything. They had 3 different cell phones to choose from, no socks that I wanted, crummy 7-11 type sandwiches. Reasonably priced clothing is scarce downtown, City Target helps to fill that need along with Ross.
Joseph Anthony
This is a unique Target. I usually shop at the one in Beaverton, but needed some quick food on my way into work. They had groceries at a very reasonable price. I thought their escalator for the shopping carts was creative.
Oz Ramos
In and out, I 😍 that we can order online! Almost all of my shopping is done between Amazon and Target for how convenient they both are (they are also located within a 9min walk of each other).
This location has two floors, with a trippy shopping cart escalator so you can shop between the two (I'm new to Portland so maybe this is a thing). The entrance is also right at the Max stop.
Both times I've ordered I've gotten my items under 30min, even when one item was in another location (their site says 2hrs). There's a parking lot and a courtyard/plaza on the adjacent block, and a food truck lot (also new to me!)
Adam Tillotson
Not quite as large as most other non-urban Target stores, but for being a downtown location (including free parking!) this place does a great job. Always in great order, friendly staff and quality offerings.
Marc Guthrie
Never crowded, friendly employees and has pharmacy &a Strbucks.
Erin B
I had a mix-up in where while I was on vacation my gift card was not wiped and I ended up paying $17 extra bucks out of pocket, as well as losing the GC. I hadn't realized the mix-up had occurred until the next day I was out of town again. I spent the next 3 days talking to various Target corporate Guest Services agents, all of whom were of no help. But once I called the employees at this Target, they sorted out the problem within ten minutes. Five-stars for amazing, genuinely helpful customer service (and I love the boots I bought here)! Also, a general props to Target for going gender-neutral.
Diana Kitsune
Granted this Target is a lot smaller than your average stores, but it's very convenient if you need to buy something since there aren't a lot of stores that carry such a large variety of items near by. They also open earlier than other Targets.
Andrew Quigley
CityTarget is here!
I've found myself at this Target more times than I care to admit to. There's a good use of space here (store is two floors) and a good portion of the store's second floor contains a grocery with many essentials and a substantial refrigerated/freezer area. If you need the basics (and more), CityTarget has it.
I'm happy to report that the prices here do not appear to be higher than the stores outside of the city center. This is a win and a big plus for downtown Portland!
Kerri J.
It's a little pricier than what you may be accustomed to at other locations, but that's probably due to it being downtown and they don't have a huge selection of things especially cosmetics. Other than that it's very clean and well lit. The staff is nice too.
Juniper Lund
The is definitely a markup in comparison to other targets, the staff seems much more stressed since they must deal with a lot more theft. The numerous security guards walking around makes it apparent. Still a nice place to go shopping, it is pretty well organized and makes it easy to do just one giant swoop through the store and get your items you need.
Lisa DeGraaf
This store is always clean, well stocked, and the employees are always friendly. Plus it is cool that they have a Starbucks on the first floor and a CVS on the second floor as well as everything you would expect from a Target.
Roland Robinson
I had an exceptional Target experience. Associate Moxxy thoroughly helped me find every thing on my list and then personally checked me out. I've never felt more taken care of!
CHRIS KIENLE
Best and closest department store to the Pearl district. It has about a quarter of the merchandise of a full size Target store. If you are looking for a big selection of merchandise you need a full size Target or shop online. This Target is just really convenient for people who live downtown and in the Pearl. This Target is right on the Max and streetcar line so no need for a car.
chichi gates
Not the usual stand-alone Target big box store but housed in 1 of downtown's older building adjacent to the food trucks block.
Would have passed it had not been for the iconic Target logo.
The store occupies 3 floors which personally, I find inconvenient or probably because I am more used to the big box store Target.
Understandably, due to space limitation, the supermarket side does not carry the full line of food/ grocery items as well as variety.
Still, very glad to find a Target near our hotel for our needs.
Drew W
Glad to have a department store downtown. Target may not have been my first choice but they have pretty much everything you might need at decent prices. The layout is simple to understand as well.
Merryanne Coffman
I found that their prices are a bit high for a target store. Store is smaller than other target stores and selection is small. I always have to go to a register to get help finding items. But, to get a couple groceries on the way home it's okay.
Phillip Schmidt
While lacking some selection this Target was very clean, with helpful staff. Located across the street from great food at the food carts. There are 3 levels with escalators to each. Starbucks is on the main floor.
Oday Merhi
Nice Target in the heart of downtown. You can find pretty much everything you need from clothing to home goods to groceries. Good selection for all of those categories.
Robert Murphey
Pretty standard Target. Two story layout with a parking garage that validates. Customer service was poor. I tried to get a price match on an item that was five dollars cheaper on Target's own website, and while I did get the price matched, the employees I dealt with treated me as if I were an imposition and there was no one in line behind me.
Eric Robinson
Went to get some lip balm. Ended up finding a sweet deal a three-pack of chapstick, which is great because I can’t seem to hold onto those things. One minute they’re here, next minute they’re gone.
jay James
It's convenient, the MAX train runs right in front. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is a Starbucks as you enter the front entrance and one or two other places to eat if you walk through Starbucks. There is free Wi-Fi I sometimes use when waiting for the train. The downside is that it's a little pricey on somethings and very limited on selection.
Mike Bolle
It's a decent Target location. Selection is small but it's convenient. A good asset to the downtown Portland area. More attention needs to be paid to customer service though to obtain five stars from me.
Eli PDX
This mini Target downtown is great for "OMG I NEED...". It is a little pricey and doesn’t offer the variety of a conventional Target, but they do have a CVS pharmacy and plenty of greeting cards. (The 2 main reasons I go) The checkout staff are always kind and helpful.
jody deats
A very unique store with 3 lvls and a Starbucks downstairs. Also has the Target charm.
Very clean and the neat thing is that the Max line stops right in front of the store.
Love it!
Michael Wells
I live close in and work downtown a few blocks from this Target. It was never worth my time or money to drive an hour to save a few cents in a suburban big box so I'd hardly ever been in a Target, once CostCo, never Walmart. It's replaced Fred Meyer in my 'get it quick" shopping, as well as for things like razors and birthday cards. The selection is decent, prices are low and quality is good.
April Sunshine
Clean and well run, with a super convenient location. They have a starbucks with plenty of seating too. Never had to wait in line long to check out either. Definitely recommended.
Todd Mowen
Great selection for a downtown Target. Bathrooms are gross. This is where the homeless use the restroom. There was four of them in the restroom while I was there. Outside of that it was a good Target.
Jack Small
This shop was a covered up jewel for me and I was able to discover shoes I've been looking at online at GOAT or STOCKX and they either coordinated or had a marginally lower cost in my shoe size! I was truly upbeat with my finds here: They had the Acronym X AF1s in my measure as well as the Acronym Vapor Max marginally in my estimate! It was unbelievable! Other than that, the staff was truly obliging. I do not see why this put doesn't have more stars since the fellow who sold me indeed snared me up with a decent RIF paper sack indeed in spite of the fact that I said I was attending to wear them out of the store! I have experienced places with awful client benefit and this isn't one of those places. I appreciate this small shop and continuously come here to window shop some time recently making a purchase! Cool put!
Melanie Johnson
Visitors should keep in mind that this is a CityTarget -- so, two floors, no parking, smaller selection -- but it's been a great addition to downtown Portland. The prices are as good as any other Target, and the grocery selection on the top floor is surprisingly comprehensive, including gluten-free and natural options. There's a pharmacy on main level with quick turnover, too. Only downside: The dressing rooms can sometimes be a little under-attended.
Julie Nolting
Love to stop and shop here. The clothing is so cute make you wish for a thousand dollars and what a fabulous wardrobe you'd get. Friendly help that cares about it's customers.
Brad Tait
This is a slightly smaller Target than folks may be used to, but is a wonderful option to have right smack in the middle of downtown Portland. In general, most needs can be met here, including limited grocery selections. If you're looking for something very specific, though, it might be best to call ahead.
Torsten Kieper
Convenient downtown location that's close to where I work. Good for staples, but if you're looking for anything electronic-related be prepared to be overcharged.
$20 for a 6 foot CAT5e cable is just ridiculous. You can get one online or at Home Depot for $3.50.
Javier Carmona
Good place to go to get stuff that you don't get at Safeway, this is true for people that leave near the area. They constantly have specials going for wine and beer, normally the best deals are on wine (compared to Safeway)
Joshua Angus
I like City Target. Being from Appalachia it's still a thrill for me to ride an escalator and they done gone and built this baby 3 stories high! Oh and it's such a self esteem booster to be stalked by loss prevention from the moment I walk through the door NEXT TO STARBUCKS!! (Needlessly and baselessly, I despise shoplifting) right up until the second I pass through the theft detectors, turn and stick out my tongue at them. GOOD TIMES!
Michael Nielson
Has the essentials. Didn't see a furniture or automotive section. But if you're out of baby wipes or ibuprofen, this is your spot. Also has a tech department that's surprisingly well stocked and helpful.
Senia Foster
The store is okay, but the area it's in is NOT great. A LOT of homeless and drug addicts hanging around, asking for money. The max stop across the street always makes me feel on edge and uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this Target because of that.
mary tomlinson
Thanks for excellent staff assistance from Kade and Nico in Electronics. They worked for 10 minutes, cheerfully and kindly, to sync a new Altera speaker to my blue tooth and cell phone for music. Sincerely appreciate their great customer service.
Nicholas Viers
This City Target is split among three levels technically, though the first level is only a Starbucks. It has a number of the more core essentials and a pharmacy. If you need anything from underwear and deodorant to bread or beer you can probably find it here in some capacity.
David Mitchell
I get stuff for my son here. Had maybe one incident where a staff was disrespectful, but it was unintentional I'm sure. Overall, this is a pretty nice store considering the fact that there isn't as much space as some targets I've been to.
Chadwick N Hill
City Target... Everything you want in a Target in the middle of downtown. Get ready to pay a slight premium on mostly food items, but you have a huge selection of items in supercenter fashion. super convenient to the max and streetcar.
Keith Achorn
Convenient location next to the Airport and hotels. It's a pretty standard Target, which to me means good service and prices. And of course, it's tax free (as is all shopping in Oregon).
Elliot Lisac
Convenient location in that it's downtown, but the offerings seem a bit pared down relative to suburban target locations. That being said, they've got food, apparel, housewares, toys, etc and there isn't any noticeable price difference despite the premium location.
Corwin Brence
As much as they have in groceries that others nearby don't have, their selections in most other things feel very...standard. Very corporate. You're more likely to find the big brands, the popular stuff, but it won't be for the best prices, and if you want anything beyond the stuff that tested the highest with focus groups, you'll want to look elsewhere.
Michael Park
Much more narrow selection than regular targets. Items aren't too pricey considering you're in the middle of the city. Always busy but well kept and friendly staff.
SuperKen21
It's a Target so it has everything you would expect. It's very conveniently located if you live in the area and has a StarBucks in first floor. The produce section is quite small but all the staples are there.
Jack H
Not a fan of the "city" target model. Every cart I tried to use had a locked up security wheel and didn't roll properly. Wish they used the first floor for more than a coffee shop. Despite, store was cleanish and staff were friendly.
Hilda Garfer
Small 3 story Target store. Less options them your neighborhood family Target. First floor, Starbucks (no food court at this down town Target). second floor, women's clothing, and check out. Third floor, men's clothes, small shoe department and small, but good size grocery area. Escalater and alavater access from first to third floor store. This Target only has paper bags as an option for your bought items, plastic is not an option for you. Paper bags are spacious, but its bulky to cary when you have more than 2 bags to cary .
David Hyliard
Overall one of the worst Target locations. Most of it has to do with the bathroom situation which tends to be crowded no matter what. Plus the staff tend to not be as attentive to what's going on in the store. Wouldn't be super suprised if this location gets closed down or has a major problem in the future.
Erin Fisher
Not a super wide selection, they often run out of food items. But it is very convenient, right on the streetcar line. The employees are always very helpful and nice.
Charles W.
Always an adventure visiting the downtown Target. Once past the throngs of panhandlers and other 'colorful types' the tucked-away store hosts a large array of downtown survival goods. (Cheap groceries, clothing, booty call necessities for before and after. ) Do drop in.
Marilyn Acosta
The target to go to in a pinch. They don't have every department that a suburban location has, but has the essentials for city living such as clothing, pharmacy and toiletry items, and home needs. Friendly cashiers
David Silver
Easy shopping experience downtown. Nearly everything you could need in one place. Staff is friendly and signage gets you where you need to be. Economy is key so don't expect too much high end stuff.
J W (JW)
It's a target, but one that is generally well-stocked, clean and check out is quick and efficient. I did get here once 15 minutes before closing time and they had locked the doors.
J Cooper
Easily the best target I've been to. Interesting multi-floor layout. CVS is located inside, and there are guides to tell you which departments are on which floors.
Julie Sanders
Downtown Target right in the center of Portland. This store has a lot of the familiar items from suburban stores, but it's upstairs (there's an escalator), has lower ceilings, and feels like you're in the city. You won't see a lot of your moms with strollers here. Grab a coffee downstairs at Starbucks, or walk a block to Case Study Coffee.
Shannon Kelley
Its a downtown Target so it's pretty security tastic. I felt more watched by staff then helped. Clothing selection is so so. Every section is a smaller abreviated version of what you're used to.
Standard Nerd
Pretty cool Target right in the middle of it all. Don't expect them to have everything a normal Target would, but they have made great use of the space and offer a lot without having to leave to the burbs.
Jared Welch
This is pretty much a mini-target, but its a convenient downtown location with decent selection and prices. Good place to grab something on the way home since its a few blocks from Pioneer square and right on the red/blue Max line.
Travis
Nice 2 story Target in downtown Portland. The selection isn't as large as suburban locations so you're not going to find large furniture items and what not. It's more aimed towards urban dwellers on a budget. Clothing, grocery, household items, etc.
Luqman Hakim
One of popular grocery in downtown Portland
Luqman Hakim
One biggest grocery in City Center
Christine Stevens
Toy selection dismal. Big, but except for clothes the other departments seem to not have a very big selection. A plus though is if you buy something they can validate your parking.
Agha Zain
Not the greatest location for a Target. But if you really need something from Target quick, this may be the answer. Parking situation isn't the best, though it is what it is.
chris morgan
target is one of those big chains that hardly needs reviewing and is seldom an inconsistent experience. this one in portland is pretty well laid out, and is one of the only places you're guaranteed to find a phone charger cable in a pinch on a saturday!
John Good
Nice corporation, support equality. By the way, I see a lot of Muslims in the downtown Portland store. I think they appreciate the inclusion, too.
A S
The location is convenient and the store certainly possesses one of most unique layouts. The staff tries hard to maintain a cleanly store appearance despite the high traffic
Lauren Zanko
This is a nice target with a good selection, but it's still just a Target store. It's not going to blow your mind, but you can get a decent price on towels and dish soap, whatever floats your boat.
Lisa Day
Ordered online and item was ready for pick-up within minutes. When I arrived at store there was no wait times. I was in and out in a jiffy. Perfect way to shop!
Jerry Vermillion
My go to place for a department store downtown. Prices are good and it's big enough in a small location to be viable. I shop here for all my need from medicines to electronics to clothing.
Charles Bosse
It's surprising to find this large a space in a city center, but it's nice and bright, and has a reasonable selection of normal home goods. Weirdly there is also a selection of groceries available.
R Pugmire
Friendly staff, great CVS pharmacy and gift registry. No waiting in lines ever! Can order online and pick up in store.
Devin House
I love the newer, smaller, urban Target store concept like this one, where I'm always able to find what I want (they'll have a few items, not hundreds like you would see in the larger stores).
Pat McCaren
I like Target. It's got nearly everything. And it's clean. Jumbo laundry bag is waaay too big, could sleep an entire family.
Jennifer Bitgood
Everytime I am in downtown I go into this target and I love it. There is also this really cute trans girl that works there
Phil Carriere
Free underground parking for one hour. If you have many purchases, you can request someone to accompany you with a device that allows your cart to leave the premises otherwise they lock up. Or take everything by hand.
Patricia Cates
Great for a City Target. Still has a good selection. Even small grocery section. Always find things on my list
Travis Halfman
I really didn't feel comfortable in this urban Target. I suppose you have to in locations like this but security-locked restrooms always portend an anxious atmosphere.
Robert Kuhn
Im not a fan of corporate giants but I had a really good experience at this Target. I was looking for a reason to hate it but couldnt find one. 4 out of 5 stars for sure!
M W
Although smaller than a regular target, they have the best employees of any target anywhere. I frequent this target & always encounter happy staff and excellent customer service.
Demetrius Cooper Sr.
Always love this store and its location..When I found out they returns cans here so much better than Fred Meyers I love it even more..They take certains bottles and cans others dont take cause it wasnt bought there...smh... Their customer service station is pretty chill...
Christin Engelberth
All the employees are kind and helpful, but because it's a city target it has a smaller selection than the average target store
Bennet Fox
Target is a mini department store. For a free smile tell the staff to have a great day!
Nolan Morris
Smaller Target than some, but the staff is friendly and helpful. This location is convenient also for MAX commuters, as it is on the blue/red line.
Abdullah Alsenan
Pros: good location, organized
Cons: limited choices of fruits and vegetables, no self checkout, smaller than other target stores.
Ly Huynh
Pretty decent selection for a smaller target. The electronics section has a surprising amount of games. Target also has smartpark validation.
Jon-Michael Phillips
Love target but they have no men's shoes 1 row compared to 10 rows for women and they say we're equal?
Sparrow Theis
Very friendly and helpful staff. It is very clean. Not as well stocked as larger stores, but convenient to Pearl District shoppers.
Brittany
This target is right downtown, but lacks the selection normal Targets have. Went there and left missing several items off my list because they simply don't have enough space to carry them at this Target.
Heather Shemery
Clean and nice. Easy to navigate. Really convenient for those living in downtown. My cashier was friendly.
David Dixon
The concept is cool, but you'll want to price check. Curtains for sale here were 4 dollars more in store than on Target's website.
Rachel Knotts
It's clean and convenient, but they don't offer as much selection as other Target stores.
Andrew Vanderwall
Not a fan of the two level store. Prices are good, but the layout can be a little confusing at first. Nevertheless, it is a target, and in a good location downtown.
Hobson Lane
Everything you could possibly need for your urban home, including groceries at a reasonable price. Who knew Portlandians would allow economic efficiency to influence their quaint pioneer spirit.
Mj Mj
Very small for a two/three level Target, but the employees were incredible and helped me pick out an outfit.
Shane Massicotte
One of the smaller targets that I've been to. They have a CVS pharmacy in there as well. The staff was friendly and helpful...
Zachariah Modersbach
I don't know anything about their products or prices, but I use the bathrooms here a lot and they're always clean.
winnie messa
I always come to target for small scale shopping like little groceries and I love the fact that they sell about everything from clothes, to shoes, bags and groceries
SD LS
Friendly cashiers, decent prices. Great prices in the clearance section- long cardigans with pockets for 7.98!!? Yes, please!
Dean Conner
Nice center city store. Elevator only goes to second floor of a three floor store. Escalator takes you the rest of the way.
Aleek Aintablian
Target is well organized and has everything you need. Plus it feels like home.
Burak Atagün
Best store to live in a zombie apocalypse. This one specifically has an advantage due to its high ground but make sure to get there before everyone else!
Maynayz & Kale
Great if you live right by it. Like anything in Portland, is difficult to access. Don't stop here if you are just passing through. The store is fine though
Erik Dewhurst
Urban Target. One of the first in America. I love this place since I work downtown and it provides a lot of grocery store staples when the next closest place would be too far to visit on a lunch break.
Adam Wallace
Awesome place DT for all your shopping needs. I bring my backpack since i only live a few blocks away and they are super cool about it.
Andrew
Convenient & well-stacked. The design is conducive to city life (two stories with a cart escalator). And unbeatable location to boot!
Sean Rooney
Great Target. Miles ahead of the 205 Target.
Ian Lloyd
Clean and friendly staff. Never scene so many sketchy people walk in and order iced water. staff was super nice and helped out anyways
Winterlord Bismark
Probably one of the most ghetto targets I've ever been to but it was okay. They had what I needed.
Taylor Butcher
We came here for some toiletries and a jacket while passing through. We accomplished our mission due to good selection and prices.
Jesus Reyes
Apart from a huge Starbucks at the bottom, this place is a great place to get some things before heading home. I love that it's right on a max line.
A Walters
Very well kept. Smaller than a normal target but still has decent groceries and other goods.
David Brown
I've never seen a multi-floored Target before so worth it just for that difference. Other than that, it's just like any other target you've been to before.
Jewel Quesada
Great, friendly staff, and quite a diverse selection. Limited stock due to size, but otherwise great and safe!
Awkward Pumkin
The layout is very confusing having to go up and down stairs to find what I need eventually found what I needed very little help from staff but I do like the building. it was an ok visit.
David Gilchrist
Great downtown store with clothes, household goods, and groceries. Three levels. Near the Portland street car stops for A and B, NS lines.
L. Freeman
Hassle free return & pick up of replacement. Masks required and enforced. Thank you
Chantel Herbert
Kayla was so incredibly helpful tonight trying to help me find the product I needed! Excellent customer service. Thanks, Kayla!
Todd Mc Intyre
A 3 story Target. Kinda small and they don't have everything a normal Target would have but it's across from all the great food carts.
christopher robins
Target downtown. Love the discount sections. Great customer service even if they don't have enough checkers working. .
Ben Brown Jr.
Bailey is the reason I come here. An amazing talent who helped me find what I needed at a price I could afford. Don't lose her.
John Tallent
Small selection for a target but centralized location downtown makes it convenient. Clean and comfortable.
Meredith Deneweth
Smaller Target with less merchandise choices. CVS pharmacy inside. Good grocery section.
byron diffenderffer
Prices are often not accurate. Selection and stock can be pretty shaky, but the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Caroline Sebastian
I usually have a very good experience with target and this location is no exception. Great prices and selection.
Davos777
Small selection yet this is because it's really more like a City Target.Good friendly service a bit extreme security because of the area.
Callum Baker
Offering guest wifi and toilets. The staff were helpful and friendly and sufficient stuff to call a real target.
Jack Sung
A large retail store occupying an entire building, very well maintained and the service is good.
Walt Moorhouse
No convenient parking and limited inventory, but if you need to pick up some household stuff and you have never heard of Prime Now, it's there.
Scott Likely
Decent Target store, a little smaller than the usual ones, but with an adequate selection of clothing, electronics and household items
Justin van Schaick
Hypermarket located on 2nd and 3rd floor with groceries as well as non-food items at good prices. Starbucks and CVS pharmacy in the same building.
Carrieaf
Great target for downtown location! And there is even a small grocery section with a nice selection!
Faith Schwalbe
Store personnel are friendly if you can find them people seem to like to leave messes for them to clean up
J. R. Kern
They are going through a renovation now, it should be nice once done.
Andrea Moulding
Who doesn't like lunch time shopping? They need to do something about the people that live in the lobby. They are hard to get around sometimes.
Roger Keyes
They didn't have flowers and that's what i was looking for. Also, they lock the bathrooms, which is annoying if you have to pee really bad.
Melinda Dominguez
Large place...I could just spend ALL day here.....lots of really good stuff here.....parking isn't ideal though.
Andrew W
The layout is kind of weird. They do have everything you need though even a grocery store which is handy.
Jillian
Ordered cute drawers online and they were available for pick up the next day!
Matthew Thomas
Best target in town. Cool modern design. Staff has excellent customer service.
Val Pierce
Two stories yet not a large selection of items. Was followed around like I was stealing and saw someone escorted out for it. Kinda rough location with minimal product and aggressive security.
Takuma “Tak” Ogihara
nice target store but only one exit and entrance and on multiple floors makes it a little inconvenient when youre in a rush
Arron Winter
Amazing store in an amazing location. Worth stopping by just to look out the window in the Pharmacy section.
Sri Hari
Located right next to a Max station thereby easily accessible. The staff was quite good and got all items I need..
Rob Peterson
Not the biggest Target store, but has essentials and groceries. Men's clothing is very limited.
Leo Villasenor
Well organized, clean and a good selection of basic needs (meds, personal hygiene products, etc.)
Brandon Peraza

Angel Pan
Well kept store, clean bathrooms, and staff everywhere and accessible if you have questions.
Jacquelynne Underwood
Nice location and multiple levels. It isn't fully stocked like a larger Target

This place can get pretty busy, but it has good prices and most any item you could be looking for.
Ed Park
Hey its urban target. Forgot to pack my underwear so got everything i needed plus a can of pinot and no sales tax
Claudia B
Convenient located directly on the line of the streetcar. Across from the block of food carts. Starbucks is a bonus!
Joe Q. “JoBot” Jackson
Their stand on the "bathroom issue" has made me a more loyal customer than ever! You go Target!
Torrey Schweigert
Nice place with a good selection pretty much like any other Target
Kori Blunt
Target is a great store and I like the online purchase and pick up feature
Chris Boyle
City Targets are interesting. Smaller selection but seem to have what I'm looking for. Right on the Max line also.
Alyssa W S
Nice target, especially since there isn't much else around, so great to pick up essentials
Alex Mansfield
A run of the mill Target spread across 2 stories. Escalators are present for people and shipping carts. Slightly smaller selection than most targets.
Ricardo Chercasky
Great, every thing you need or almost!!!! Great environment!!! Fair prices. Grand variety!!!
Ames Harlem
I love how they're using an old building for a Target! Upstairs, they keep the old fashioned windows. So cool.
Rebecca Pitra
Good staffing and could get lost in the store if wasn't paying attention.
Erich Arendall
While not as fully stocked as some Targets, the staff is friendly and helpful.
Thomas Hirschfelder
Downtown store is convenient. Loss prevention is fairly rude and make everyone uncomfortable.
W. Ryan Hatch
Because it's a bit small and multi leveled, the layout is confusing and selection is more limited than other Target stores.
Sam Steen
Didn't have a lot of stuff. 3 pairs of men's shoes in the whole store (and about 100 pairs of women's)
The Keidron World
Good selection for a downtown store...great cartwheel...perfect for the city dweller...all the essentials...
Nikolay Galtsev
Surprisingly, food is sold on the 3rd floor. The restrooms are kinda scetch, but everything else is like usual.
Chrys Chabot
One of their City Target locations. This means it's conveniently located in the middle of downtown, but doesn't have as big of a selection as the suburban locations.
Bridget Wyatt
Everyone is friendly and my order is always able to be pick up quickly
Jeremy Leishman
It's Target, they are all the same. If you've been in one you've been in all of them. You like them? You go there.

It's Target, but this location is really handy for grabbing stuff on the way home from work, which gives it bonus points.
Corey Anson
Smaller than a normal Target but still packing most of the items you need from this type of store.

Oldman Havok
It's a Target, but this one is downtown so it's a little more security conscious.
Noe Garcia
Very well organized place. They have a trolley elevator! :)

It's a unique Target. Good to check out if you're in the area.
Alicia m
Helpful security, great selection and prices on household goods, friendly and helpful staff!
Emilee Sievers

Good selection of energy bars, Larabars 10 for $10 which is pretty good!
Jezus Cicero

Great customer service and tons of products to choose from. Awesome store!
JP Painter
Classic city Target, with a surprisingly good clothing and skin care/makeup selection.
Sally
Regular target store, be careful the store is open until 10pm, but the bathrooms close at 9pm!
Leah Goeres
The service is okay and goods are cheap. However i dont find there products to be high enough quality. You get what you pay for.
Christina Mae Ketcham
Great products, huge inventory of household and clothing, good prices.

Randy Shufeldt
It is great to have City Target downtown for lunch time shopping.
Mel Cagle
Conveniently located on the Max line, but fairly small selection in nearly every department.
Scott Pierce
It is a Target. Staff was hard to find to ask questions. Furniture was cheaply made, but it was priced as such.
Christopher Anderson
It's what you get for the location. It has stuff but not a great selection of stuff. Booze is kinda expensive.
mike
It's Target. Helpful staff, clean washrooms, good prices.
Chris Cunningham
It works for some things, but tends to lack the stock that other targets often have. Feels kind of cramped.

Melor Striefentier

It's the downtown target. Can't get too excited about the mediocrity of this place... It's convenient though.
Erik Jones
The multi-floor experience can be awkward and cramped, but it's a good store.
Alexander Santo
For a downtown location, this Target has almost everything you'd expect to find at a larger branch.
Dan M
Small target in the heart of downtown. Parking is free with validation if you spend $25.

Less items. Crowded. Not very well organized. Lots of homeless inside

Downtown target, located near food carts = clean place to use the bathroom.
Aaron Rape
This was a normal target, but the downtown location was very convenient.
Cissy frysinger
SMALL STORE YOU HAVE TO HAVE THINGS SHIPPED THERE FROM OTHER TARGET STORES. THERE IS ANOTHER ON MALL 205.🐢 …

Smaller than other targets I've been to, but what do you expect being located in the middle of Portland?
Keith Koenig
