Such a great shop! Knowledgeable staff, excellent care to the animals, and all around fun experience. Definitely bring the family here, but keep the bratty ones from pounding on the glass....you know who they are. The neighborhood is starting to evolve and Twin cities reptiles will continue to be a fantastic Edition. I hope the building owner and city won't price you out. Keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍

Absolutely love this store! Despite the name, they sell more than just reptile supplies. The supplies they offer for everything are amazing quality! When I grab treats for my dog there, or things for my reptiles I know I am getting a quality, and trustworthy product! I also have bought snakes from them before. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. If I didn't live two hours away, I'd be here every weekend. Picture is the latest snake I purchased from them.

For years I've been shopping here and I've always had a great experience. Literally all the kind, and truly knowledgeable like hands on, real life experience pet care vs generic text book stuffy information but really helpful, useful and reliable for no matter which animal I was inquiring about over the years, dogs, birds, bearded dragons, bunny's, cats you name it I've gotten insight and affordable enrichment items for each one. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to experience this on such a great scale, but I am moved to write this review because I recently called to see if I could order some bugs for a special bearded dragon I know using My card over the phone and have someone pick them up. Firstly the process is so easy and especially if u know what you need, which lol I have a habit of the opposite when it comes to decision making. The wonderful ok I'm not sure if her name is Miranda or gosh I'm sorry but the girl was such a rock star, she helped me find the perfect solution for my budget short notice and was incredibly helpful with the details in regards to all my selections. Fred, my bearded dragon friend has already outlived his anticipated departure date, but when I called I had received him with the intention of making his last time here memorable, hence the bugs and extra tlc, but I'm so happy to share that it's been 4 days since our "celebration of life" homecoming extravaganza and he is whipping around like a brand new hatchling lol, I have used light, sound, reiki and crystal rock treatments as well to help with environmental energy since he is absorbing all his heat and nutrients from external sources, but the love and care that you have invested definitely was radiating from the Dubia roaches, crickets and horn worms along with the highest vibrational frequency of love I could feel it through the phone, it definitely helped make this beardie think twice about throwing in the towel so I appreciate you all I highly recommend

Great place, seems to go a little bit further other shops caring for animals. I purchased three Hermit crabs total from here, and two are still healthy 3 years later. Unfortunately the biggest one passed away during molting. I am very glad that this shop had a reasonable setup for their crabs, as most shops just throw in some dry coconut fiber and call it a day. But, twin cities reptiles made sure to have good humidity and temp, clean water, and extra shells. Although there wasn’t much space for the crabs, they did make sure to meet the hermit crabs needs while their were there. This shop also has helpful employees.

This place is awesome. It has had really good employee retainment for some employees over the years which has created an abundance of knowledge within the store. They have really random cool repitles of all different sorts. Some for breeding so not for sale and lots for sale. It's definitely worth the stop! Friendly, cool shop. Also I pick up live feed bi weekly there.

Went there to pick up some hermit crabs for the kids. I've always loved this place, but never had spent money there. Sage was very helpful in getting us all.set up with what we needed, took their time, and didn't try to over sell us anything. It was a wonderful experience for us, and the kids!

Definitely a must for any one thinking of adopting a reptile, amphibian or insect/arachnid. Friendly staff who are passionate about these kinds of animals and have a wealth of information. I'm planning on getting a cave gecko (which they have some) but still a bit unsure if I would be able to properly care one. However thanks to them I know I should be able to and they would have all the equipment/enclosure supplies I'd need. Even if you don't plan on getting a cold blooded friend but have an intrest in them I still suggest a visit. It's like a reptile house in there!

I have super mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, it's like a little zoo and they have a pretty nice selection of snakes and bugs. However, if you're gonna call yourself a reptile store, you should also have more than 1 turtle in stock. And/or maybe be willing to order something in? The other thing is that the front register staff was really friendly and we chatted a bit between their customers and I got a bit of useful information about who to call and talk to with my questions. But when I went to talk to 'the guys' working the floor, they were all standing in the back (there was a lull in customers) by the bug stand thing and were pretty unhelpful when I wanted to ask some questions about getting a turtle either ordered or when they might restock. So that was disappointing.

They are the best reptile store in MN. The staff is amazing knowledgeable helpful kind informative and take wonderful care of everyone and every creature there. Even if you're not in the market to buy one I would strongly suggest going to check them out. If you already have reptiles this is a wonderful place for food accessories anything that you may need

This is the place to go for reptiles in the twin cities. I mean, it’s already in the name. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they are all individually passionate about their own particular niche and know who to point to for the kind of animal you have if one person doesn’t personally know. They have been wonderful with walking me through switching my ball python from live to frozen thawed, including offering the option of fresh killed prey which I’ve never seen offered at any other pet store. I’m so glad we have this place here, I’d be lost without it. Plus it’s always so fun to stop in and check on all their cool animals on display!

Not actually open during started business hours on my first visit. (edit) Gave em a second shot, so I went back. Nice reptile selection. Among my other purchases, I asked for 30 small roaches but got about 15 small + 15 medium/large (which my small leopard gecko can't eat so wasted money).

If you are looking for anything reptile this is the place. They have great parking and lots of reptiles and stuff to take care of them. If you don't like reptiles you should see this place anyways you will see some incredible things. The only thing about this place is the service is not so good. There was only one person in there that was helpful all the others didn't care if you were in there or not. I felt like I was disturbing them. One guy at the cash register was very rude.

Back in the day, mid 80’s we use to buy all of our pets at Twin Cities Reptiles! Plus we would bike there like 3-5 a week to look at the Alligator Snapping Turtle! At this time, the store was below the Original Down in the Valley in good ol Golden Valley MN. What an awesome kid memory!

This is the best exotic reptile and insect store. I highly recommend this place, unless you're an irresponsible parent buying and pet for your child then no, stay away. The creatures offered by the store are high maintenance.

Bought a beautiful tarantula from here. Answered all my questions and made sure I knew how to take care of it. I named her Mary Jane. Not sure if she's actually a girl, but they told me how to figure that out too!

We took our 14 year old granddaughter to Twin Cities Reptiles to purchase a chameleon. She has been wanting one for three years. The staff at TCR were wonderful with her. They asked her what she had learned about caring for chameleons from her research, commended her for what she knew, politely and knowledgeably filled in important areas she didn't know. Wonderful place! We have a leopard gecko that wasn’t doing well. I knew the gecko probably needed a new lamp, so I drove from the western suburbs to this store. I explained to an employee (Krystle?) what was going on. The gecko wasn’t eating, had lost a ton of weight, not shedding properly, along with a few other things. The employee gave me a lot of tips and recommended several affordable products. It was like a trip to the vet! They even offered to take a look at our gecko if he didn’t improve. Our gecko is now thriving and it’s all thanks to Twin City Reptile! Thank you for all of your help! Worth the 35 min drive!!!!

Excellent service, expansive selection of products and animals, including rare morphs of several snake species, highly recommended! Seeing the tortoises mating was surprisingly hilarious because the male was making funny noises lmao I wish I could post video on here! Also the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Love this place and how they are 95% reptile related. I wish there were more stores like them. Sometimes I think there are too many animals for them to care for, but all the animals looks healthy, happy, and have correct set ups. Everything I've been in there, someone is always tending to the omreptikes that require specific humidity/food requirements. Employees actually know and give advice about lighting and it's the correct advice. You can trust the advice given to you but as always do your own research before jumping into any species of animal. Feeder prices are aittle higher, but I get it because of the convenience of getting certain feeders you can't get elsewhere local. Highly recommend.

Always a fun place to visit some cool reptiles. I purchased my bearded dragon here and I love him to death. They carry everything from gegos to iguanas yo spiders to snakes! Its clean and the staff knows their stuff about reptiles. They have a great selection of reptile food along with all the reptile supplies you could need. They also carry pet supplies for dogs, cats, and rabbits. They carry a big selection of tanks as well.

We love this place and have purchased two ball pythons from them. Very knowledgeable staff who were able to successfully talk us through a difficult eater and another one who had difficult sheds. They were able to solve both issues. They have everything you need here.

Update 3/17/21 - my favorite reptile shop! My uromastyx uvb burnt out this morning on a bulb I bought last month. Brought it and the fixture in to make sure it's the bulb not fixture. They looked up my info and helped me replace the bulb. Thank you TCR! My uro is so dang happy to have his uvb back! Always super inspiring for bioactive enclosures. The people here are very willing to answer any questions about reptiles, and they've always been very helpful. My leopard gecko was very healthy when I bought him and grew up wonderfully. He's a happy, curious little guy. I stop by Twin Cities Reptiles pretty often to pick up more food for him, and it's always an enjoyable time. Highly recommended to any reptile lovers out there.

We had a wonderful experience today buying our first reptile baby! We decided on a western hognose with a lavender morph. Since we did not have equipment already, the staff was incredibly helpful despite it being quite busy to show us where everything was and let us make a pile for everything at the counter. Healthy animals, good quality food for said animals, supplies for any animal - this store has got it all. Even if you aren't planning on getting a reptile, it's fun to see all the wide variety of creatures they have here. From looking at the outside of the building, my expectations of quality/size were not very high, but I was stunned by how cool it was on the inside. Way bigger in there than it looks from the store front. Also the first pet shop (herp store) that I've been to that has fruit flies readily available. Easy 5/5.

it’s always a joy to come here! the staff are conversational, and good at their jobs. i come every month or so to get mealworms for my leopard gecko, the process is super easy and they are always happy to answer any questions i have about feeders. the checkout line is super quick, too! it’s no surprise that these guys have survived 40+ years!!

My 7 year old has been asking about lizards and turtles. I brought him here to expose him to the cities best shop. He brought a pen and paper, took notes of what he liked, so he could research them at home to see what would be the best fit. Staff were very busy but took the time to be friendly with my kid and answered all of our questions. Been shopping here for over 20 years.

Go to store for reptile/amphibian/terrarium needs. All the live food you could need. Plenty of supplies for not just drystock, but wetstock like aquariums, newt care, etc. Very helpful staff, always give them a call if you need something specific and they will probably reserve it for you if yoy come in soon. Great selection of flightless fruit flies also!

I brought in a praying mantis that had been in my yard all summer I live here in Minnesota so they're not native here and I thought it was pretty awesome not only that they take it in but one of the workers there decided to take it home and take care of it so now I know it's being well taken care of because I know it won't survive the winter she gets to live out her life.

I have been here multiple times and always impressed by the friendly staff and service. I have bought multiple cages and feeder mice and insects along with a snake that passed away a litter over a month after i recieved her, and i talked to the manager about what could have happened and she told me to come in and they took care of me. I highly reccommend buying anything from here including pets they are well fed and taken care of.

I live in East Central MN and tried to call ahead to see if they have a specific frog I was looking for. As it was a 2.25 hour drive for me to St. Paul. The person on the phone acted exacerbated I even dared to ask what they had in stock, abruptly put me on hold to "check in back" and never came back to the phone call. I waited and then I just got hung up on after several minutes on hold. It was my only weekend off for awhile and so I chanced it and drove down anyways and was lucky that they did have the frog I was looking for. It was a birthday present for my son and the only thing he asked for. The person who helped me with the frog purchase once I was there was friendly and helpful. Once I got up front to pay I immediately recognized the voice of the cashier who was rude on the phone and left me hanging on hold. She was NOT kinder in-person. When she could tell I wasn't pleased with how snappy she was, she proceeded to tell me how busy her day had been. If I was her manager I'd help her with some emotion regulation skills, because she is obviously taking her stress out on your customers. So, five stars to the skinny emo-looking dude who helped me buy the frog. Minus two stars for the woman up front who left me on hold, hung up on me, was rude, and wouldnt help a customer who was gonna drive 2.25 hours to spend a lot of $$$ in the shop.

I will only go here for supplies/feeder insects for my leopard gecko, I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is so cool, the animals are very well taken care of, and the staff is always so nice and super knowledgeable. Honestly it’s one of my favorite places to go. I get dubias, crickets, waxworms, hornworms, and mealworms and they are always in great shape, healthy enough to store for a bit, and my little gecko man loves them. Cannot say enough good things about this shop!

Always the right place to go for animals, feeders, questions and advice on husbandry, and/or reputable brands in store. I needed a pulse proportional thermostat that specifically only controlled one heat source, and had night drop capabilities. I couldn't get a straight forward answer researching online, so I went into the store and the person that helped me showed me every option, opened boxes, looked over the instructions to make sure I didn't need any additional cables, etc. and assured me I could return it if it wasn't what I needed. I went with the Vivarium Electronics VE-300, have had it working for 3 days and it's functioning perfectly. It wasn't cheap but the same price as the other options and has a manufacturer lifetime warranty! This isn't the first time I've received great customer service here, and it wont be the last as they have everything you could need for your babies! Much appreciation to the wonderful staff.

I used to visit TC Reptiles when I was a teenager after rescuing a few critters. It was kind of a hidden gem. They only had a few employees and the owner was awesome. I loved it! Unfortunately, after a recent visit with my family, we likely won't be going back. The store has been taken over by snobby holier-than-thou hipsters. We had a couple interactions with different employees that left us feeling less than welcome. The prices were kind of high too. We saw a reptile hammock that was $10 more than at a local store. They do still have a great selection of both products in critters. However, the prices and the vibe was enough to put us off.

Hands down one of the most amazing pet stores I've been in. Gorgeous and clean, huge selection of supplies and an even greater selection of high quality, well taken care of, reptiles. Drove over 2 hours one way to go here, spent over 3 hours inside, and will absolutely come back many many more times. They even have animals they breed themselves there, so you can check out the breeding pairs and see what they produce. If you like reptiles at all, you must check this place out, and if your in the need for any, it's well worth any drive.

I don’t live close to here so I haven’t had the pleasure of buying much, but my experiences with this business have been exceptional. Their employees are very helpful and knowledgeable about exotic pet care. They helped me narrow down my options for which animal I wanted to purchase and supplies. I loved their selection of plants, wood, and decor. Definitely the best place to go for reptile supplies in the area. They also have a great selection of animals. If you’re looking for a new pet you’ll see options you probably haven’t considered yet. (Of course don’t rush into any decision and do plenty of your own research before committing to any animal, but hopefully that goes without saying.)

I've been here for snakes, bearded dragons, fish, gekos and a few other things. The staff is always so eager to help and so knowledgeable. They have such a wide variety of things and if they don't have it can usually help you find it or order it. At the time of this they offer live or frozen feeder rats/mice still as well as crickets and some other things. I live 70miles away and drive here any time I need something because it is so amazingly welcoming.

Tried to get some info on buying a baby bearded dragon and was told there is a wait list. When I asked how long it would be until they are available and he couldn't even give me a rough estimate. Then I asked how many people would be ahead of me and he says "oh I can't tell you that" like it's a big secret. Very weird customer service. One other time I called up just to ask if the reptiles were all born there in house and the guy said "yes" and today on the phone with the same guy that gave me a hard time about the list said they get some for their "breeder" The store seems really nice whenever I go there but it's a wonder where they get some of the employees they have. Very unprofessional. Other that then, everyone is generally nice and the animals seem well taken care of.

They were strict on the social distancing which is understandable. Bought a young boa which had dates and what it was fed dating back to when it hatched. He’s doing great and is very friendly. i bought a ball python from them christmas of 2019 and the snake has been doing very well, when i bought him i assumed that they fed their snakes frozen thawed but that wasn’t the case because he refused to eat frozen thawed and happily ate live. i recommend you don’t purchase from them if you’re against feeding your snake live. the employees have always been kind and helpful to me, especially the lady who wears a lot of colors and does her makeup very nicely. i don’t think the enclosures they keep the animals in are always perfect, but what do you expect from a shop with so many animals?

This is the go to place for reptiles and invertebrates. The staff are wicked knowledgeable and always happy to help answer questions. This store is clean and the animals are well cared for. There is a great selection available of healthy creatures and supplies to maintain them. They also stock supplies for other creatures- link guinea pigs, rabbits, cats and dogs, etc. Resist the urge to buy from big box stores and come to where the knowledge and supplies are.

I visited this store for the first time last month to get some super worms for my leopard gecko. I purchased 50 of the worms in hopes they would last a while since my usual spot was out of them. I have pretty good luck keeping my super worms in the container they are purchased in and toss some oatmeal in there for them to eat and they last quite a while. The super worms I purchased from this location died rather quickly. I am not sure why but I loved the store and would love to revisit and would definitely purchase again there if I had some advice on how to keep the worms a bit longer. Any suggestions?

TC Reptile has been a blessing in our lives. Every person on staff has been extremely pleasant. They take excellent care of their products, animals, and store. No matter how busy they will answer as many questions as you'd like. Be sure to be prepared to spend money and answer questions back because they expect you to take care of your pets and make sure you are educated and prepared to take care of and provide excellent care of your animals. High quality feeders and competitive prices. If you want something specific all you have to do is ask its more likely than not that they are going to put you on the next expo list or they will already have some in stock. Scott is one of my personal favorite employees. If ever I need to know an answer... Scott will either have owned or or knows about it. Above and beyond.

They're mostly really good. Have a wide variety of animals from your run of the mill beardies, Leo's, and cresteds to viper geckos, grass lizards, and beyond. Staff can be a little standoffish so you usually have to approach them rather than them approaching you which has its pros and cons. But most of them are really nice and will answer your questions well. Their customer service and overall high prices are the only reason they don't get five stars. If you want something similar with better customer service, go to Snake Discovery in Maplewood. Otherwise, TCR is my go-to for all my reptile needs ☺️

I had a fantastic experience here recently. I've been looking to upgrade my leopard gecko to a bigger tank, but have been lacking a lot of information to do it correctly. I also don't have a lot of heat control in my apartment, so I've had concerns about being able to keep a bigger tank warm enough. Every question I asked was answered expertly and the lady helped me pick out things I needed, as well as help my mom pick out a new accessory for my leopard gecko (she loves her grand-lizzard). Great selection, great staff, I'm new to the area and will definitely be making this the place I go for all of my leopard gecko needs. And for the record, I've been able to keep the tank warm, and William Fredrick has been doing well in his new habitat.

Once they realized I very much want a happy life for my snake they have been nothing but a delight everytime I go in. Quick and easy for your basic food/supplies runs, and an amazing/beautiful selection of reptiles if you're going in to gander or purchase. I bought a baby veiled chameleon here in November (2017) and I recently went in to look for a larger enclosure and the man who helped me find what I was looking for not only find it for me online while I was there but offered to order me one because they only get so many at a time. I really like this location I have really tried to find different places to get rats for my snake she's a yellow belly Ball Python 3 years old. She eats large rats. They have a lot of array of animals there from snakes to turtles exotic snakes lizards iguanas any kind of reptile spiders lots of food many different tank sizes huge display of animals and I love that they have different plants for terrariums different setups for aquariums and reptile tanks I'm really happy that we have I have something this close to my house and a company I can trust because a lot of times you get bad food or animals that are mishandled and they seem to take a lot of pride and love into what they do I am a member of twin City reptiles only thing I could say is make sure that you guys ask everyone if you remember before they check out.there's been many times where I go in and out by Stephanie don't get the credit for what happened payong for. That's not a big deal I really enjoy shopping there it is a little bit pricey but that's expected when you are doing with high quality. I really want to see what kind of snakes to have the next time I go in and I've been looking for a male to breed with my female and I do trust their animals and a big thing with breeders is blood mites and I haven't seen any signs of that on their animals which is a good thing definitely take advantage of the educated employees there are more than willing to strike up a conversation about your animals health well-being and needs and they always stood me in a great direction I had an issue with my snake for a little bit with feeding it would take being a little cold they gave me some good advice which help and I haven't had a problem since they do have three different types of mice and rats you can get in Frozen, dead, or live

I stopped in here for the second time ever. The first time I spent like 3 hours looking and admiring all of the exotics. Today was no different. I originally came here to get some crickets while visiting a family member 2 miles away. Of course I walked out with a lot more than just crickets. Lol For the most part, their prices are very good and competitive. Some items are a little spendy (bulbs and clamp lamps) but besides that, their prices are great. Secondly, they take really good care of their reptiles and amphibians. They have the appropriate husbandry, correct lights, correct temps, feeding correctly and in some animal food bowls they used the right amount of calcium. A lot of their tanks are bio active - which I love. You can tell they spend a lot of time on their reptiles cages, and that alone tells you A LOT about their business and how they take care of the animals there. One thing I really liked about this reptile store from Petco or other massive chain stores is that they actually care about the well being of their animals while they are waiting for their forever homes. If you are looking to go bio, or just add a couple plants to your reptile tank, they have live, non toxic, no fertilizer used plants for very very decent prices. The employees are very knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. They actually know what they are doing when it comes to care and husbandry of the different exotics they offer. Also, their live feeders are WAYYYYY cheaper than Petco or PetSmart. They offer many different feeders: crickets of all sizes, superworms, meal worms, hornworms (you can buy by the singles for $1.25) which is a way better deal than PetSmart. They also have mice. Even though PetSmart is 3 minutes from my house, I will no longer be buying my reptiles or supplies from them. I will drive the 13 minutes to twin cities reptiles. I would much rather give my money and business to a place that cares about their reptiles and not about making money. P.s- they also breed some of their own reptiles. Such as snakes, lizards, geckos etc. Another plus is that for some of the geckos, like th crested gecko they even know the lineage. Which is a big plus in the herp community. Stop buying from chainstore pet stores and come to two. Cities reptiles! You won't be disappointed. I will be back next week.

Extremely interesting. Not a ton of reptiles to look at, but with covid, I sort of expected that. Some very exotic looking lizards, a few snakes, a turtle and monitor lizard. The cages were clean on the inside but outsides were difficult to see through the glass. Lots of plants, miscellaneous items to purchase for reptile lovers to add to their cages/aquariums. Live crickets, misc worms, mice etc for food are available. Staff not particularly friendly, but busy and seemed knowledgeable. Free parking East of the shop (sneaks up on you so look for the signage) . Shop is on the north side of university. I am not a reptile owner, visited with one, so please check the place out and don't get discouraged by my review. This may very well be a 5 star and I am just ignorant about repitles/shops.

Went there yesterday with my sister and mom (who is not the biggest fan of reptiles) and had an amazing experience they have a huge selection and variety of different hides, cages, substrate/bedding, food, and everything you would need for your pet reptiles they even have a pretty good selection on stuff for other animals dogs, cats, birds etc. they have a large selection of different gorgeous animals to look at we all enjoyed it a lot even my mom. Got all kinds of awesome things and animals most the staff is nice but I always seem to get that one staffer that is a rude rediculous know-it-all when I go in myself. I had a problem with an isopod culture prior. Was no concern contacted them only to make sure their cultures were ok set up a quarantine box and tried to rescue the 4 survivors. Things happen I want to check my next batch and all of a sudden its my fault. And my cultures were the problem lol. This person was never someone I talked to nor had anything to do with it. I had to explain I never even got them into my house repeatedly and even then she brought up she was a vet tech and there was no way. She was very nice to my friend tho so maybe she just didn't like me making sure everything was okay. Had already talked to ppl prior about the problem so wasnt too thrilled by the blame especially since my cultures are pretty sterile. Everyone else was awesome. It was pretty busy and Some of their prices are kinda out there but there's so much to look through. Their plants were a joke. There was a lot dying more browning and prices were not what you would expect for such sad looking plants. All in all a place to go to check things out and maybe pick up stuff when needed but ill stick to Facebook groups and joshsfrogs.com from now on.

Great store layout in my opinion. Everything seems to be healthy inside the store I wasn't looking at any dead or sick looking animals, and I purchased my BCI Hypo Salmon from the store and she's been doing very well, her temperament once she was out of the bag and handled a little bit was superb. I also purchased frozen feeders which were great, but have a resealable bag on hand at home, and an enclosure which hey it was a Zilla enclosure you can't complain lol. I would recommend shopping here for reptiles, but I would recommend shopping online for enclosure decorations or anything else you might need it's cheaper, no hate to the store that's just facts.

They care about the animals in their store and remember who they go to (I get asked how my corn snake is every time I stop in!). As someone from a retail-working background, that means a lot to me too. If the weather is bad, they look out for their employees' safety rather than profits.

I visit this place very often for supplies and food, as they have the greatest atmosphere and prices for a reptile-centric store. The staff are always very lovely and well informed, and their animals are very well kept and healthy. I got myself a bearded dragon last year, and the staff was quick to inform me about some of her missing toes and tip of her tail. They weren't hiding her flaws, and even suggested some at-home remedies, but despite that she grew up wonderfully! My roommate also got a fattail gecko a couple months back and he's looking amazing as well- no health problems. Every time they sell one of their animals, they make sure the new owners have the proper set-up, husbandry, and experiance, and it's very comforting and helpful. One time I was getting a tank from there, and one of the staff members stopped to ask what I was using it for. It was an aquatic turtle tank, but I was going to use it for my dragon. They quickly suggested to not use it for snakes since there was a filter hole at the bottom for them to escape through, which I didn't even think about! It was very nice of them to let me know, since I couldve used it for my ball python if I wanted. The tank was too big for my car, so I asked if I could leave it there for a minute while I got a different car to pick it up, and they were happy to help! They even offered to help carry it out. Needless to say, I love coming here and always have a lovely experiance every single time. Highly recommend ❤❤❤

I was looking to buy a redfoot tortoise today but they said they couldn't sell me it because it wasn't eating right yet. I think that's a sign that they care about there animals. I feel like some big stores like Petsmart would sell you any animal and not have a clue about it or whether or not it's in good health. I will be coming to here in the future because everyone is very knowledgeable and nice. A younger guy helped me out with buying supplies for a tortoise and knew about everything I had to get because he had some of his own. They have a wide selection of animals and I'm sure they have what you are looking for or at least something very similar.

I love that they also have a few animals available to observe, such as a large tortoise tht is expected to be somehwere around 100 years old and a monitor that is very fun to watch. I went here a couple days ago with my friend and I was impressed. I wasn't expecting so many beautiful snakes and my all time favorite blue tongued skink in stock and ready to go. I noticed their breeding monitor had some sores on his back and let them know, and they reassured me that they were aware of his wounds and applied cream to it. The only complaints I have are that the store seems a little dirty and "meh". The lighting is dull and grey and the floors/walls are bland so it sets a gloomy mood atmosphere wise. I also noticed their fish tanks had dirty glass and several of the snakes were laying in their own waste, plus the live stock of feeder rodents are kept in small containers. It was busy with two people working and the end of the day though so I plan on going in earlier to see if it's different. After spending a lot of time in SEVERAL pet chain stores, this place is a nice change. The staff knows the basics and don't just hire teenagers who don't know their stuff. Check out their facebook page and you'll see they like what they do. =] I'll write another review after my next visit to follow up.

Twin Cities Reptiles is an awesome shop! It's also huge. Remember the Bugs Bunny cartoons where he'd walk enter a Teepee, and inside was the Taj Mahal? It's like that, but with lizards instead of marble. Great collection of supplies and food, as well. There are also general pet supplies in the front section for more common pets like fish, cats & dogs, but the place really specializes in reptiles and amphibians. They also sell a few used terrariums. Worth a visit.

Luv this place. They probably get anoy'd by me walking around talking to the pretty Boa babies, but I always get everything I need here for the free loading gecko fam free loaders staying for free at the pad.
