Showed interest in a silky yorkie and Julie reached out to me instantly. During the process she was so sweet and kind and helpful. She made it so easy. When I had to turn him down due to finances she offered to keep me in the loop about him. Well she did and more recently when she reached out it couldn’t be more perfect timing. This is the most beautiful pet store you will ever walk in. I was in shock when i first went in because of how nice and well done everything in the store was. The staff is very welcoming and very informed of every type of animal in the store. I bought both of my dogs there and felt very secure with my purchases and they made sure I went home with everything I could possibly need to care for the puppies. Will forever be a customer at Petland Kingsdale!

So, I get Designer Breads are the thing right now. But, to add the normal cost of both parents and a bunch of other add-ons. At $5500 plus we had to leave. Now, the facility was outstanding. Clean, the dogs and cats looked very healthy. The staff is welcoming. However, after a few minutes with a prospective dog. The sales jargon starts sounding like a car lot. Example, What dollar amount would make you take this dog home today. We have a Lifetime Guarantee when this dog passes many many years from now 15 to 17 years. We'll give you another one. I would be really old. It was not a good hot point.

While this store is very clean and nice inside, it's essentially only a place to buy a dog. People, please adopt if you're spending $5k+ for a dog you're throwing money away. It wont love you any more for that amount. Their selection of pet food is very minimal, no familiar brands that are at every other pet store. Wouldn't recommend.

I have been taking my children and now grandchildren to this Petland location for over 30 years! As a single mother and little cash for fun we would go to the Carriage Place Plaza for a almost free day of family time. Being able to spend time with the pets and learn about them from the employees is part of the experience.

I’m torn on pet stores. People want to fight about puppy mills and whether or not pet stores such as this have a legitimate place in 2022 business. The problem is the animals that end up there are just as deserving of a good home as rescue/shelter dogs. So spare the self-righteousness. This store is at least very clean and the staff is friendly. The animals seem to be well cared for.

Awesome visit today with my kids, I seen the animals were all clean, groomed and seemed healthy and happy as you'd expect puppy's to be. You can tell the staff that work at this location genuinely love their job, they interact with the animals just as much as they do the customers. They were attentive and professional.

The whole process of getting my baby was extremely easy! Holly was very patient with me! Fast and easy ! The only reason I'll give them 3 stars is because she, nor anyone there knew where my paperwork was, or the process of getting them after puppy was with me! When people pay over 5k for a pup, that should be the number one thing guy you guys take care of ????! 3 different calls all told me his AKC papers were somewhere else . Third call, they tried to pass me off to pet solutions and she got rude with me (not holly), another female. Honestly other then the run around, I had I good experience, just read and look through all paperwork! (Still waiting on akc papers)

People think this is a place that sells puppy mill puppies. Not the case at all! I have 4 rescues, and 1 pup that I got here. My puppy from here is just as amazing as my others. And I know his history. He is also quite a local celebrity now around the carriage place plaza! Everyone in the store knows Percy when we walk in and are all super nice to us and love all over him.

This location is good with good staff, tons of gorgeous pets of all varieties that you can pet anytime you feel like it. However the lay are motivated by commissions and far less likely to be concerned for the animals welfare in my opinion. Having bought a pet and coming back for goods they tried aggressively to sell another pet. They just are a business but that’s a tough implication when lives of animals are at stake. The prices are insanely high!!!!!!!

This is by far the best petland I have ever visited. I tend to shy away from petland but was pleasantly surprised to see how well each animal was taken care of. The bird, guinea pig, and gerbil enclosures all had fresh fruits cut up into pite sized pieces for the animals. The dogs we all playing and had food and water along with clean cages!! The staff was friendly and very helpful with purchasing everything we needed for my daughter's new guinea pig :)

Love the big tortoise that roams the store at his leisure, and playing with all of the puppies while waiting for a movie to start at the nearby theater. I actually have a chihuahua from here that is now 16 yrs old, but the prices skyrocket every year, so I won't be purchasing anymore pets from here. I consider it more of a mini petting zoo, which could use a little more monitoring, because I've seen some unruly children in here several times mistreating the birds/rodents. I still wish all the little fury, feathery and scaly critters nice homes!

This is the 3rd adoption we have done from this store, and it is always a wonderful experience. All three dogs have been healthy happy dogs with no medical or behavioral issues. Very trainable and loveable. We drive from an hour away to go to this specific location for the wide selection and the manager. She has always been so good to us with our adoptions. She has always worked with us in financing our puppies and making sure we had everything we need to get started. We do participate in the puppy for a lifetime program and fortunately we haven't lost a puppy yet to use it. Every time I purchase my food and vitamins, the cashier always makes sure I am on track for the year so I don't lose the program, in the event I need it. It just always helps when someone else is also keeping track. I highly recommend this store for your next puppy!

The dog I got is great, she’s my baby. But the price I paid was ridiculous and Comenity capital bank that they use is literally the worst bank service I’ve ever dealt with. 2 years later and I’m still having issues with them. I’d rather slam my head between metal doors than deal with them.

I have bought a puppy from this petland recently. I will admit the obvious that I well overpayed. But to be honest she was worth it to me. I know many say don't shop adopt. But I believe all animals regardless of where they come from deserve a home. But the pros and cons of our experience of buying our little girl. Pros: 1.) She came with lots if items such as vitamins, food, potty bells, heartbeat pillow, blanket, stick treat, free vet exam and stool parasite test, free obedience class, coupon for $25 off of spay, dog food container, supplements, breeder and kennel information she came from, previous vet papers and vaccination record, the "free puppy for life program". 2.) Holly worked with us on price. I do not believe in financing an animal. You can either afford it or you can't in my oppinion. I was firm on the amount I was willing to pay even though I still over payed. Holly did great with keeping my number and texting further. she did amazing with answering all of our questions too. 3.) My puppy received a clean bill of health from our vet and the vet exam petland payed for. 4.) My puppy was completely crate trained when we brought her home (10 weeks old at time of purchase). 5.) My puppy is very intelligent. Had her 6 days and already knows her name, fetch, and sit. And doing well with potty training. 6.) Amazing with my 2 small children 4 and 1. 7.) Puppy was bathed and had a free bandana on at time of purchase. 8.) Hard working staff that WORKED IN THE KENNEL. Cons: 1.) At time of purchase all paperwork was gone over... or so I thought. When I got home I realized there was a vet paper I was NOT shown at time of purchase that said my puppy had kennel cough. I was given antibiotics at purchase due to her having "slight nose discharge" when they first got her. And told that it was just recommended for her. Issue here is I WAS NOT told anything about kennel cough or shown that paper. But I will say on the contrary the antibiotics must have been given while petland had her and she did get get a clean bill of health from 2 different vet's. So im not too upset over this but nonetheless it's still pretty bad. 2.) Yes puppy came with all kinds of thing's... but none that were very useful to me personally. The dog food was not recommended by OUR vet. I was told to use something name brand such as purina. And was told the vitamins we had are unnecessary for puppy as long as she had a good source of vitamins from a good quality dog food. 3.) "Puppy for Life program"... its a scam (I knew this before purchase though) in order to keep it "active" you must purchase dog food (doesn't sell my preferred brand), vitamins, and supplements from them 4 times a year. So that's about a $65 per purchase. X4 and that's 260 a year. Hypothetically puppy lives her expected life life expectancy of 14 years. 260 X 14 = 3,640. So therfore with how much money I would give Petland through the years would already equal up to another puppy. So is it a free puppy? No lol. But some may think this program is worth it. I do not. 4.) HORRIBLE STAFF (excluding kennel workers and Holly). Alot of these reviews about the staff is pretty spot on. They are rude, they stand and gossip, they do not seem friendly, it just looks like social hour at the desk... this almost turned me away completely. But not my puppys fault. 5.) Simple one here I OVER PAYED. Lol but I knew this and that was my fault. But I do think puppys should be a bit more affordable. TIPS: 1.) ASK QUESTIONS. No question is a dumb question. 2.) They are more willing to negotiate price on Sundays since they get new puppy's in on Mondays. 3.) Go over each paper thoroughly before paying. 4.) Ask for Holly when you have serious inquiries. Other staff seems pretty incompetent. 5.) If you can find a breeder or can adopt do it... alot more affordable. Would I recommend? Yes and no due to my mixed feelings above. So make your own choices regardless of any reviews. That is all. If this was helpful then 👍🏻. This took a while to type lol.

Found injured bird outside of a restaurant, went here for help in caring for the bird overnight while the wildlife vet opened. Very helpful and knowledgeable on feeding the bird properly. Wildlife vet said everything done correctly for the overnight care we provided thanks to the staff.

Friendly, available staff, well cared for pets. The dogs are not at all clearly marked. No info or pricing displayed (if you have to ask, you probably cannot afford it). Most of the selection were mostly "popular" choices (not for me). Decent variety of birds, rabbits, dogs, and several kittens. The store was laid out well visually. I did not feel interested in buying.

Very few pet shops I’ve been to have staff as friendly as those working here, and are so comfortable and encouraging in letting customers play with the puppies. Great selection of dogs, including bigger breeds that are hard to come by elsewhere. Will definitely consider coming to Petland when it’s time to get a new furry friend.

We went into this location several times to play with puppies and get a feel for what kind of dog we were wanting. The staff was always so nice and friendly and were always right there to answer any questions we had whether it was about breed information, hypoallergenic dogs etc. They were very knowledgeable about what breeds would be best for us. This location was great! You were allowed to get any of the puppies out and didn't have to be confined to the sectioned off rooms. The staff would hand you a puppy as you would walk in. If you got a puppy out they were not one bit pushy about a sell; they would let you take your time in your decision. We purchased a Merle Great Dane in Feb 2016. He was 2 months old upon purchase. We went in three weeks and seen him in there each time and just fell in love with him. The last time we went in we just couldn't leave without taking him with us. The staff was very detailed in explaining everything we would need and why. They also were able to negotiate to a price that we were more comfortable with. I would recommend this location to everyone! They are great! They remember my dogs name to this day when I come to visit. Thank You Petland of Carriage Place for being so good to us and our Henry!!!!

My favourite petland location. They have so many puppies to play, and rooms to use. They always have a diverse selection of breeds so there is plenty of options. The store is always clean. There is 1 staff member I dont care for, but they are friendly. I haven't found the puppy I want yet, but I'm sure I will soon! My favourite part of going there is to see the tortoise. I have been to his birthday party 3 of the last 4 years. I'm super glad they keep him

I bought a female Pappilon from this location July 13, 2019. She is a fabulous little dog. I admit, I overpaid, but to me, she is/was worth every penny. This is the first dog I have ever purchased from a pet store. I absolutely support this location 100%, because she is everything they said she was and so much more.... thank you for such a wonderful little dog.

The people are Wonderful at THIS Petland!! Besides adorable puppies; they ALWAYS have large (&small) birds that you are able to hold. I believe this is a great chance for anyone to become more knowledgeable about these beautiful creatures & how all of their personalities are so different! Being "hands on" with their animals help for when you are looking to purchase a pet. They have been socialized & then you have enough time to get to KNOW the different personalities of a potential pet before you decide to make a purchase & take it home💜

Our Golden Retriever, Sully is transitioning from puppy food to adult food, he has a very sensitive stomach. My trip to PetLand was absolutely wonderful! I immediately let the gentleman helping me know that I was in the market for a puppy, but would not be making a purchase that day. He was still exceptionally helpful, brought out every pup we asked about, and gave excellent breed advice. I will be back.

Have visited several times to see and hold the animals. Alot more space since they changed the layout. Would never buy a pet here but is a nice place to visit. They have plenty of puppies, some kittens, birds, hamsters, ferrets, and bunnies. They also have a large turtle named Tucker that has free rein of the store. Lots of food, and accessories you would need. Bathroom was pretty good too.

This is the location where I got my amazing Chocolate Lab named Daisy. Everyone was so patient and kind there. I had a lot of questions being weary because of rumors I had heard but everyone there was wonderful and treated my grandmother and I with the utmost respect. I got my best friend out of the whole deal which was the best part but they were just as excited for their puppy to have found a loving owner. I'd highly recommend them and go again myself in the future.

Never had a better pet buying experience! Super friendly staff that keeps me coming back. Hank our Victorian bulldog has been the best thing to happen to our family. Not one single health concern after more than three years. Their free pet food program is another perk of Petland. Will absolutely be purchasing another bulldog in the near future to give Hank a playmate.

We certainly had no intentions of buying a second puppy when we went in, but we came out with a perfect little Yellow Lab named Sailor. Samantha was amazing to work with and had an answer to every question we had. She helped us shop for supplies afterwards, she helped us load them into the car, she walked us through the whole experience. I would give her 10 stars if possible. Tons of friendly and helpful staff. They have a bunch of dogs you can play with and see if you want to buy. There's cats and birds too that you can check out! Seems like a legit place and like they care about the animals. Not too sure about pricing but would recommend going if you want an animal or just to see what's available.

Hesitantly came here after a bad experience at the Lewis center store to look at a golden retriever. We met Holly who was excellent at helping us figure out everything with the puppy and get everything we needed for him. Overall an excellent experience with a great salesperson and a great puppy!! This is rated as the #1 Petland in the country! Each Petland is individually owned and are run differently, the people who work at this Petland care about all the animals that come into their store. They are very specific about the breeders that they buy from, they do not buy from puppy mills and preform diligent background checks on their breeders. They care about the animals and you should feel safe buying from this store.

I'm so torn by this place. On the one hand, it's such a great setup...spots to bring their puppies and kitties so my daughter can get down on the floor and play with them. I think it's truly one of her favorite spots on Earth. But I've also read several reports where Petland apparently gets a lot of their puppies from puppy mills, and there have been reports of the dogs they sell getting sick once they are home.

Place for animal lovers. Pets kept very nicely and the entire place is hygeine. The staff was really friendly and cooperative. You can feel the touch of all the pets and special cabins are made to feel with the pet. Also turtle of 100 years you can see and feel. Colour full birds , small rats, and many more you can find. Perfect place for pet lovers.

Awesome place to take the family and play with pets. The place is a bit hectic but I can understand why due to it's popularity. The workers were kind and you could tell they enjoyed what they were doing. Had a wide variety of animals that we're well kept. Could of been a bit cleaner.

This is one of the best commercial chain pet stores I have ever dealt with. I raise birds and was amazed at how knowledgeable the manager and staff was plus they actually spent time with them. They hand feed most of their own baby birds, something I have only seen at private owned pet stores. Very clean store and a staff that is courteously, respectful, and actually care about their animals.

Place is okay, clean but stinky. Staff are helpful when you can get ahold of someone... It's always crazy busy in there with people handling all the animals. Not the first place I'd go for selection/range of pet products, catered more for selling animals. I do like Tucker, the old store turtle that wanders about freely. When I have gone in I always make it a point to find him in the store and say hello!

The mouse i got for my snake was really dirty to the point i nearly thought twice about using it to feed him, but the staff was good. the line flow made no sense and the organization of the place wasnt the best. i noticed some of the puppies made messes in their enclosures but they seemed to be well taken care of otherwise despite the sheer number

I did not see any sickly looking dogs or puppies, so I have no clue what that person is talking about. Yes I'm sure it's puppy mill dogs, which I am completely against especially at how expensive, and they have too many per cage as well. I wish I could find a petstore that sold animals they rescued or something.

First of all , really basic level as a business store credit standing is the most important thing I thought but, this store DOES NOT HAVE AT ALL, I bought a puppy a days before and after a night( within 24 hours) I thought it may not okay for me to keep it , or unable to keep the puppy. I bring it back and ask for return. As I saw their web clearly mention that 48 hours return policy! At this point, an lady who may be the manger even told me the policy is not valid for her store while I show the policy on my phone. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS. Anyway, finally my friend show up and she takes the dog , still no return or even partial refund at all.

We like to shop for supplies, and the staff are helpful. The puppy petting booths are so convenient. There is a great selection for popular pets supplies, and small animals. Guinea pigs, hamsters, bunnies, budgies, finches, other tropical birds, fish, small reptiles, and of course, kittens and puppies.

Everytime our family comes to Petland, the staff is always friendly. We usually came there to play with the baby pugs which inspired us to get our sweet boy Magneto. We also have two other dogs who love all the toys we get from there.

This store is a favorite of my young teens, they love holding and playing with the cats and dogs. The store has a huge African tortoise who is allowed to roam freely around the store. He has a helium balloon taped to his back to alert people of his whereabouts. I'd never buy an animal from here but like visiting.

I was just on my way to Walmart. I saw a "Puppy Sale!" sign and just knew I had to go. We walked in and I asked the lady if she had any German Shepherd puppies. She handed me Cleopatra. The rest is history. Cleo has been my little nugget ever since. She's the best puppy I've ever had! I'm part of the puppies for life program, so I will be getting a puppy from here again, but not till after my Cleo is long gone, which will be years from now. I buy all of her food and vitamins here and she loves walking in with me to see other puppies and workers! They know us by name!

Nice store w good selection. Other Petlands we have visited take great care to sanitize the pet enclosures. I did not see and santizing being done at all and we had 2 dogs in these enclosures during our visit. I did not see anyone else recieving this care as well while we were there.

I always feel pressured to buy an animal when I come in here, even if it's just to purchase dog food. They hand the dogs over like they are food samples in a grocery store. When I do bring my kids and have a few extra minutes to play with a dog, there is never a room open to really let them play, which is disappointing. The tortoise that walks around is cute though and my kids get a kick out of him!

Best place to take kids ever! They have a huge tortoise they just let walk around the place oh, you can find him because he has a helium balloon attached to his shell. Also they have little cubbies and you can pick any dog you want and play with them in your own little area puppy ready for kisses and little bites and possibly cleaning up some accidents hahaha. They are puppies! Also there is an open on top baby gerbil area where the kids can play with them too

I have always loved Petland since I was a child. My grandmother used to take me there to play with the puppies and kittens. I also got gerbils, lizards, and fish as well as pet supplies there all growing up. It is one of the many childhood memories I cherish! I still enjoy Petland and pets today!

We got a Shar Pei from here about 2 years ago. He was sick when we got him, but as promised in the purchase agreement, Petland covered the vet bills. He has turned out to be an amazing dog! Still, after 2 years, when we take him in staff members remember him by name. They may be a little overpriced, but it's worth it.

I bought my golden from here almost a year ago. They were so super nice throughout the whole process and even let me make sure that my other dogs and family were OK with the new addition.. thank you guys for your help... I must admit that my golden had some minor parasite problems that took a few repeated trips to the vet and an ongoing passion to eat poop, that we still can't kick, but I don't see any reason to not come back in the future. Also FYI that their "puppy for life" program is only if you agree to feed your dog their suggested dog food and supplements, which I did not do.. but that was my own choice.. I have also been coming to this store for almost 4+ years before my purchase, just for the occasional puppy lovin.. nothing like some fresh puppy breath to brighten the day :)

In August 2015 I purchased an American Bulldog puppy. It was love at first sight. I paid $3,500 for my Kooper. I took him to puppy kingergarten followed by obedience classes, socialized him early and had him neutered at 6 months of age. I have grandchildren who were at the time ages ranging from 1 to 16 yrs. I was told that American Bulldogs are very good with children. Everything was great for the first 9 months and then all of a sudden one day Kooper decided that he would jump on the back of my almost 3 yr old grandson. He had his jaws around the back of his neck. This scared us to death. The next day I went to the veterinarian and asked him what he thought about this behavior. He said, "I would never trust him in the same room with a grandchild of mine after showing this aggression". He said that all puppies in a litter are not the same and that while all the rest can be docile, gentle creatures there can be one or more that show aggressiveness. When I purchased Kooper I was told that Petland does not want their puppies to end up in a shelter and that if a puppy owner was having issues they should call their solution center. I called the Solution center and I was told that I had the puppy for 9 months and his aggression was MY FAULT. They offered to give me the name of an obedience training school. I informed them that I had already taken him to obedience training. They then told me to rehome him. I asked them, "what so he can go into someone else's home and potentially kill their grandchild"? I was scared to death for my grandchildren while at the same time I loved my baby boy. I didn't know what to do. For the past year we have been very diligent about keeping Kooper kenneled when there were visitors at our house with children. Ok, so a week and a half ago my husband picked up our 6 pound chiweenie and Kooper attacked, biting my husband in the belly. He had now injured and adult. Then just 3 days ago while Kooper was kenneled outside our 3 yr old grandson went outside when he was told not to. Not only did he go outside but he entered the outdoor kennel. We realized my grandson had gone outside when I saw the back door partially opened and ran out after him. He was already in the kennel and just as I entered the kennel Kooper knocked my grandson face down on the ground. My daughter came from another direction and was able to reach over the kennel and grab the hood of my grandson's sweatshirt to pull him out of the kennel as I was trying to control Kooper with 1 arm. My other arm is broken and in a sling. My daughter had to go the the emergency room for stitches due to being bitten in the process of saving our grandson. Even though we have been so diligent and careful this still happened. This episode was to close. Our grandson would probably not have survived if we hadn't gotten to him so quickly. The following morning my husband and I had to take our beloved Kooper to the Veterinarian and have him euthanized. We just couldn't take anymore risk. I cannot tell your how heartbroken we are. I think of him every moment of the day. When I purchased Kooper I was told that I would never have to buy another puppy. Regardless of manner of death, when Kooper passed, Petland would replace him. I am writing this because I would like Petland to respond and confirm that they will indeed replace my beloved Kooper. We are not ready for another puppy at this time but when we are I would like to know that Petland will stand behind their word. I gave 3 stars at this time but will definitely update to 5 stars if Petland comes through on their pet replacement promise.
