I am overdue to review this place. I have been here so many times and there is ONE thing that sticks out like a sore thumb. The poor or lack of greeting when entering the store. I can't tell you how many times I have come in with them just staring at me. A few times I have said, "hi" to break that awkward feeling but I have stopped. I'm not getting paid to say hello to your cashiers. They're getting paid to check out and greet. Definitely needs to be brought up at next staff meeting, cashiers need to greet. If this shiptons wasn't so close to me (coming from Roundup), I'd take my business elsewhere. HOWEVER, the upside here: wonderful selection of clothes, accessories, and shoes. Always has the feed I need for livestock and our fav dog food (Victor). The floor sales/stock employee named Rick has been fantastic every time I come and run into him. Give that man a raise! Your floor employees have the customer service down pat. cashiers need some work.

Had a great time browsing merch here. From the blonde young lady in clothing to older gent in dog supplies to Critter in tools they were all helpful and kind. I especially enjoyed the tall young man at the gun counter who was very savvy and helped me find a few items. It is the personal touch and care like this that will make me spend more and come here versus internet purchases. Keep it up Shiptons in the Heights.

This store is wonderful and has lots of products it's a good place to go if you're looking for good work attire, guns, ammo or camping equipment. The prices are very good and more importantly the products are actually very nice and durable. I highly recommend this store even if you're not in the purchasing mood just go there and browse around and see what kind of wonderful products they have.

Shiptons Is known as a ranch store, however, I can usually has what I am looking for in the way of clothing, jewelry, slim vet supplies, feed, supplies, equipment, ammunition, hardware, fencing, chicks in the spring, snacks, greeting cards, etc. A bit pricey as ranch things do cost a bit more but very good quality.

This is our favorite ranch supply store in Billings. It is organized well, lots of options on products and the people are nice. They have the best selection of gloves around. Today we also looked at boots and tack.

Very well stocks ranching store that has a little of everything and some things you may never have thought of or known you needed. The prices seem to be a little high but not excessively so; this is what you pay for convenience or being able to go home with you newest treasure. Where as online ahopping would be cheaper you then have to wait days.

My wife and I love this place ! In one store we can get all of our pet food, feed for the chickens and ducks, camping fishing and hunting gear, a new .22 for the kids and every thing I need for fencing the yard. They have a huge selection of work wear and all the boots, jeans etc you could ever want. Every staff member I have ever dealt with has been polite and knowledgeable. I have been in all of their locations and received the same great service. Come to think about it I started this review off rating Shipton's Big R with 4 out of 5 stars but after putting my thoughts down Shipton's you really do deserve 5 stars so THANK YOU for being awesome

Great place to shop and find things if your a rancher or someone that lives out in the country. But there are also things there that non country people would like. Varying from clothes, toys, snacks, water fountains, real animals such as chickens and etc., up to things needed to take care of cattle. There are also camping and hunting supplies that you cant find at some much larger sport stores.

Excellent customer service. I have purchased most firearms in the past from Shipton's as they have an excellent selection and are very competitive with their pricing. I was browsing the shotguns at Shipton's Heights and was interested in the Rock Island vr-60. It was a pretty cool shotgun, but just not what I truly wanted. The sales person told me that if I was patient, they were going to release a newer model in March. I went home and researched the very model he recommended. I watched all the youtube videos, earlier release reviews, etc. Well, I was pretty darn thirsty for this model and had to have it. It was released on a Tuesday and could not be pre-ordered. I went to Shipton's West, as it was closest, on my lunch break. Sadly, every single one was sold hours before. I asked if I could pre-order, etc. The salesperson asked for my name and number and offered to call when they had another one in. I gave him my number and he called me the very next morning after calling Shiptons East and finding out they had 2 in their inventory. His voicemail was short, detailed, and extremely effective. I immediately went to Shipton's East before work and purchased the vr-80. The level of service, and culture reflects an obviously well managed business. Thank you Shipton's West, East and Heights. Your amazing.
