Absolutely love this place. If you're looking for a fun activity to do with your girlfriends or a cute date activity this is the perfect place. I attended the fragrance making class and i truly enjoyed myself. I even made a personalized frangrance for some lotion. The staff are a amazing and extremely knowledgeable about perfumes. And to top it off they have a wide range of a fragrances to smell and purchase. I'll definitely be back! Even if it's to purchase the fragrance I made in class

I went to the scent blending class with two friends and it was a perfect outing. I'm someone who doesn't usually wear perfume because I'm sensitive to the scents, but, I made a scent that was light and PERFECT for me. You get a bottle to take home and I wish I upgraded to a bigger container. I will definitely be back for a refill of my custom scent.

Did the holiday scent class. It was really nice and informative. Would highly recommend for anyone. Great group activity and the store was really nice. Only suggestion would be to add more substantial snacks for pricier classes. Would’ve been nice to have some champagne or sparkling cider, fruit (grapes or strawberries) and an assortment of holiday treats. Not anything over the top, but just something a little more.

This place is amazing. I’m in my thirties and I’ve never worn perfumes because I get headaches and overwhelmed by too many strong smells, so choosing one is something I’ve avoided. I know what I like, but all the scents I thought would be close kept falling short for me. Now, I have this tattoo balm (hustle butter) that I absolutely adore the scent of. My thought was if I could combine that with honeysuckle it would be perfect. I brought the balm with me into Indiehouse and gave the specialist (Ivy) a short explanation. I’m not exaggerating when I say it took her less than a minute to pinpoint exactly the scent I’ve been looking for, for years! I had her mix a custom rollerball perfume for me and I put some on before I even left the store. The scent is just heavenly, I want to wear it all the time! If you know what you want and you have something that smells similar, give it to Ivy, she’s got a nose like a bloodhound! I very highly recommend Indiehouse and consider myself a lifelong customer of theirs now :)

The atmosphere and the class was amazing! The instructor was fun and the actual class part was about 20 minutes long and then they play some music and let you start creating your scents and the instructor is still there to assist you with any questions and suggestions. Came here as a birthday surprise and didn’t have much prior experience with perfumes besides my occasional 2 scents that I wear. The class was so educational and fun! I loved experimenting and feeling like a chemist in the lab. Afterwards, I felt like I had a better idea of what scents I prefer and what works for me and my body chemistry. I am so excited to come back and take the class as a date night idea or even just come in the store and purchase some new scents that I have my eye on already! Would highly recommend this store and class!

My beautiful Wife brought me here for my birthday. This was a new experience for the both of us and it was fantastic. Our instructor Ivey was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable about all the different fragrances and notes and the history behind the art. We were able to bring our own bottle of champagne to compliment the music. It was a total vibe! Carrie hosted a small group of us to celebrate my cousin’s birthday yesterday and she was so amazingly accommodating! She really knows her fragrances and if you sit for a session with her you are guaranteed to leave learning something new. Plus her playlist is awesome! The establishment is very clean and the atmosphere is extra cozy. She also sells body oils and lotions, candles, exfoliates, and pet sprays. Please stop in & pay her a visit— you won’t regret it.

A friend and I drove down from Tennessee/ north GA. If you are a fragrance connoisseur/lover, I highly recommend visiting this place. The assortment of houses was vast and at multiple price points. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. You will not find your run of the mill, department store high end/ niche brands here and I truly appreciate that. It is obvious the owner took the time to curate not only all of the fragrances, but the experience. The aesthetic and ambiance of the store is lovely. The owner even made all the little scent florets herself!!! I'm so glad that the ATL area has a luxury/niche fragrance retailer. I love being able to shop small and local. If you're within a few hour drive, this place is worth the commute. We will be back for the scent class and for future purchases. Also, you can shop online, which is super convenient. A++

Oh, boy! If you love fragrances and get bored with what is often available in department stores and fragrance outlets, check this place out. Even though IndieHouse is a small, independent retailer, the selection here is well-curated and extensive. I was enchanted with some fragrances by Lubin and Liquides Imaginaires that I had never tried before. The displays were very cool, with paper flowers on which to test the fragrances and glass funnels to isolate the scents. They also offer perfume making workshops on weekends as well as private perfumery classes any day of the week for 6 or more people. I attended a Scent Blending 101 workshop with a friend. The instructions, tools, and setting were all very good, however, I was not impressed with the quality of the actual fragrance notes provided for us to blend and create with. I think the ingredients could be improved and expanded, given the price of the workshop. With nicer ingredients it would have been a truly 5 star experience.

I cannot say enough good things about INDIEhouse modern fragrance bar – it fills a hole in the marketplace I didn’t even know I needed! Not only do they have an amazing collection of seasonally-appropriate fragrances (switched out twice a year!) from boutique labels that don’t fill their products with a bunch of chemicals and allergens, they also help customers craft their own custom scents. At any time, you can wander into INDIEhouse and buy or create a bespoke scent from their vast array of fragrance oils. But they also host fragrance-crafting workshops that are super fun for groups. My friends and I easily booked spaces online in advance for a Sunday fragrance workshop. We arrived prior to the 12 PM start time and were warmly greeted by the staff. They showed us around the beautiful store and got us settled in for the workshop in a separate, brightly-lit room. The workshop space is set up for about 10-12 people to participate at any one time, but because they are operating at reduced capacity and a few people did not show up (rude), we had the space to ourselves for most of the time. The workshop itself is comprised of a 30-minute interactive presentation about the history of fragrances followed by hands-on fragrance crafting. The event had a great flow, and we weren’t rushed at any point in the process. The staff outlined an easy-to-follow approach to identify the scents we liked and then test them together to craft a personal scent. When I was happy with the formula, they blended it together in a lovely bottle, labeled it with the name I chose for my scent and packaged it up in a cute, cloth bag. It’s an adorable (and useful) keepsake. They also stored my formula details in the system so I can purchase a refill of my scent in the future. I worried I’d be overwhelmed by scents and unable to articulate what I liked and what I didn’t. But the staff (owner Carrie and extremely patient employee Christy) were so kind in helping me along the way. My friends and I had an amazing time at INDIEhouse and learned a lot about fragrances to guide our choices in the future. Helpful tips: If you make a reservation, show up on time. The fragrance workshop is a group event, and you will miss out on key parts of the experience if you are late – or you will be disruptive to everyone else who arrived on time. You can bring drinks and snacks – we brought mimosas to up the basic-factor – but be kind and don’t bring strong-smelling snacks or anything that will be distracting to others. There’s plenty of on-street and off-street parking outside of the store. It’s located in the Alpharetta City Center, and there are tons of walkable stores and restaurants nearby. With rigorous cleaning and air filtration, INDIEhouse is currently mask-optional. I felt comfortable spending time in the store sans mask to best exerience the fragrance-making process. My friends and I had such a great time together making fragrances at INDIEhouse. It’s great for bridal showers, date nights or a fun activity on rainy day. I will definitely be back!

Absolutely love this place! I came across a TikTok video and thought it'd make a great girls Sunday funday activity and definitely did. We did the workshop and got to learn about fragrances, how they're made, and how approximately wear it. The instructional part was short and sweet and we were left with much time to create own scent. For the 89 dollars you get a rollerball of the scent you created. Our instructor was awesome and very helpful. I give this activity a 10 out of 10. Great activity to do your girlfriends, your boo or by yourself.

I took my fiancee and her daughter last weekend to participate in a fragrance workshop. It was awesome! Carrie (sp?) was knowledgeable, helpful, fun, articulate, and generally made the workshop fun and productive. We each went home with a 10ml bottle of our own, private, custom-blended fragrance and an increased knowledge of what is involved in designing and analyzing perfumes. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it!

I celebrated my 30th birthday here, via the Fragrance 101 Workshop. The owner, Carrie, has a great heart. She was hospitable, and extra accommodating by allowing me to have my party despite a scheduling conflict. Also, she has a passion for all things fragrance. There are perfumes there that are available no where else in Georgia. She gets exclusives, and has testers for everything! They also have candles and body oils for your all your smell-good needs. Asthetically, the shop is gorgeous and tastefully organized. It smells just as great as it looks. Overall, we learned, we laughed, we created, and I had an amazing birthday. If you're thinking about going, GO! You won't regret it!

Its a great experience small selection of niche brands, but a good introduction to the houses they carry. I just wish they had a point system and afterpay as niche fragrances are expensive and i can get them sometimes 50% cheaper online. Also ive noticed most niche houses are either reformulating or watering down there fragrances and not worth theprice at full retail.

The workshop gives insightful information and it’s an experience to create your own custom scent. Both of my fragrances turned out fabulous. I believe we typically live in the past or future when we were meant to live in the here and NOW moments and one way to truly engage and delight in the present is to truly smell, taste, see, hear and feel with our senses. Fragrance is the essence of connecting you to the present moment. And all their already made fragrances in the store are not what you typically find - higher quality and unique combinations for all preferences! Bring your own wine and snacks and create your blend! Came in the weekend before Valentine's Day. We did the scent blending 101 class. It was great. Our perfumer(the Black lady) was so knowledgeable. The class is two hours, but you get plenty of time to mix scents, learn best practices & how to make your fragrances last. Just make sure you book it well in advance because it fills up. At the end you also get additional samples to take home with the fragrance you make. The staff is super nice, super helpful. The fragrances that you purchase are all imported from Europe, due to their quality standards being higher than the USA's, so it's all very high quality. I'd 10/10 recommend.
