Look up! Raven and Crone is on the second story of the shopping plaza building. Great variety of items well laid out and organized. The store is clean and bright and the team checked in with me several times to see if I was finding everything alright. They had a substantial book selection. I appreciated that they had a communal altar set up for Samhain. Prices were reasonable compared to other locations in Asheville.

Such a great place with knowledgeable staff and something for everyone. Always a peaceful energy and the tools of the craft are thoughtfully available. Just heard they will be moving shortly just a few blocks up the road by Zen Sushi in Merrimon Square plaza. Can’t wait to see the new place and new vibes :).

The store is impeccably clean and organized with a large variety of items. I appreciate how they support independent artists and practitioners, as well! We always make a special trip to visit this store. It's a great place for handmade quality incenses, essential oils and more. Unfortunately, they didn't have the tea blend for headaches at the time of visit but managed to get a few incense and sage.

Don't be fooled by the images of the brick building, they have moved to the shopping center down the street, second story - more room to spread out and even more goodness inside! And the staff is always so welcoming, knowledgeable and just all around lovely! If you need some good energy, you'll find it there.

Just wanted to say, thank you guys for always having positive energy every time. My partner and I were turned away at the door of our local metaphysical store because we had our babies strapped to our chests, we read the sign 13 and below require an adult and figured we were fine, but we were immediately turned away ( like they literally said “nope you can’t come in here” and one of the workers stood up to I guess escort us out?) with no explanation or consideration (we had never been there before).. As a new mom to twins I don’t get out ever anymore and that negative experience made me feel like I just shouldn’t have left the house… anyways, thank you for being a safe place and for making everyone feel welcome.. All I have to say is that this place is awesome!! I picked out a couple of intentional oils and a staff member told me to get a different one without knowing anything about me or asking anything..... Holy cow it worked so well!!!!! I got a transition oil as per her recommendation and abundance oil and here I am a month later with everything I have been trying to manifest for years. I love it! I recommend writing what you want to manifest as you use them, and to use them proactively.

My sister and I made a special trip down to visit this shop in person and it was totally worth the trip. The selection of books and supplies was absolutely fantastic!!! We even got the monthly supply box filled with all kinds supplies for the upcoming holiday. I got spell writing box complete with ink, a quill, incense, candles, and all kinds of good stuff. The leather journal section was full of all kinds of beautiful books and it was hard to choose just one. The staff was so incredibly nice and answered all our questions. This was definitely worth the visit and we look forward to returning soon.

I cannot believe I haven't reviewed before now! I've been going here for years and it's an absolute treasure of a place. Contrary to what some other reviews have said, the people are very friendly (maybe the bad reviews just read the ladies' vibes wrong or maybe they were just having a bad day? I have never once had a bad experience with them so that just baffles me). This isn't a huge big box store, it's not supposed to be, and that's one of the huge reasons why I love it. They have a little bit of everything. If something isn't in stock, they are more than happy to either get it from their online stock or order it for you. They have locally made and in house made products that may seem overpriced to some, like in other reviews, but a lot of love and care (including time and labor) went into making these, which definitely makes it worth it. I love how charming this little shop is and the energy in here is absolutely divine. Every time I step foot in here, my anxiety and depression just fade away. I can't describe it, but it's such a good feeling. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area or even just visiting.

Very cute, quaint, store set in the heart of Asheville. Very Covid aware, only allow 7 in the store at a time and require use of hand sanitizer. Anything from candles, to jewelry to more specific items for casting spells. Workers are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. If you have never been here I would highly recommend it.

I am giving this shop three stars because they have a nice and well organized book selection and the prices are clearly marked. The hospitality and prices are what caused them to lose two stars. They want $90 for a plaster Gia statue which you can buy on Amazon for $25. While I understand that brick and mortar locations are going to have more overhead than online shops I don’t agree with price gouging a community. Their “leather” journals were also way way overpriced for the quality. I asked about a tarot reading at checkout and the staff just discussed the schedule of their reader amongst themselves so that I could hear that he is unable but nobody really cared to speak directly to me. The witchy community is known to be very clique-ish both online and in person…and this place is a perfect example of the elitist. I’ve been a witch for 17 years and I’ve visited many metaphysical shops…this one is over priced and rude.

This is a beautiful little store. It has an absolutely amazing selection of tarot and Oracle decks, crystals, journals, candles, incense, and so much more. I got my first Oracle deck here as well as one of my first crystals. The prices are great for what they have and the authenticity of the items they sell. I'd definitely recommend this store to anyone who is searching for this kind of stuff! I wanted to get the Baphomet crystal ball but didn't have enough on me at the time. I'll definitely be coming back!

It was such a special and fabulous experience for me to be so welcomed into this shop today. I had a very specific shopping list and they had everything I needed. Not only were these keepers of the shop extremely friendly and open, but they allowed me to walk around and select the items on my list without following me around. So far, the shops and restaurants I have been able to visit, have made me feel like I live here and I'm another neighbor. This lovely shop felt warm and inviting, clean, and the stock they had could have kept me there for the entire day, just reading, looking, and chatting with these outstanding kind people! Love this place. I live a bit over an hours drive and will only go to this place for mine and my daughters needs. If I cant make a trip, then I order for delivery. They have a great selection of herbs and have just about everything you would need in a metaphysical sense. The online ordering is simple and fast. The shipment is fast and the items are packaged carefully. I will continue to purchase from them and recommend them highly. But if you get a chance to go to the store, which I recommend at least once, you wont be let down.

Staff is always so kind and helpful. I asked about bringing abundance to my small business and their staff recommended their business success oil. After using their oil in our store our sales went up 53%!! I have been using both their business success and cash flow oil in my business and now months later our sales have gone up 67% and still growing!! We have never been in the red since using their oils in our store. RUN don't walk to their oil section!! Their products are no joke and VERY POWERFUL. My fiance and I cannot thank raven and crone enough for all the abundance they have brought into our lives. Yesterday I visited this shop in person for the first time in more than a year. Since the pandemic I had been very successfully curbside and mail-order shopping with them, but it was a good feeling to be back in the store, browsing, looking at all the new items, and picking up all that good witchy energy. I was especially pleased to see the increase in product crafted by local vendors and happy to find all the items I need for upcoming sabbat rituals. The staff was friendly and helpful, maintaining the perfect balance of giving me space and time to browse but being nearby to answer any questions I had. I specifically appreciate that they are knowledgeable enough about their product and the correspondences for certain needs to be able to make solid recommendations. Overall, a great experience, as I have come to expect from this community treasure.

I give this store 3 stars. I give 3 stars totally for the product and selection in the store. It is neat and well organized. Everything had a price that is large and easy to understand what price is for what items. However, they do not get a full 5 stars because of hospitality. I’ve never been snubbed in a store so hard from the employees in my life. Walking in, no we did not have masks on, we were loudly jumped at to put masks on before even shutting the door behind us. We warmly and happily complied because we have and will never argue with a business about a mask policy they have. We WILL gladly put them on. At this store however. Once we put them on they snubbed us deeply the whole time we were in the store. Giving us side eyes and watching us. I’m not sure if maybe they thought we were their for theft? I have no clue. When waiting in line to buy the items I came to get the cashiers were talkative and kind to the other two customers in front of us. When it was our turn to check out I was kind but she was very off putting and not as kind and engaged as she was with the other customers. If a store is going to be that was to people over masks when the customer puts it on with no complaints then maybe they aren’t as wholesome as they say they are. I will not be returning. The “vibes” were off.

Going to this shop was part of mine and my friends graduation dinner, so we were extremely excited to get there after eating and shopping. Smaller store, but it fits for what this shop is and the shop is so beautifully arranged. The book selection was amazing and I could've gotten lost in just reading titles. The prices were way better than I thought they would be as well. I picked up 2 big books, a new blank, leather journal that I will use as a grimoire/BoS, a new tarot set, an amulet and an altar cloth. Staff was extremely friendly and not at all pushy trying to get us out the door, even though we showed up accidently a bit too close to closing (about 15-20 minutes) due to us not being from Asheville and trying to navigate traffic. I look forward to going back and being able to spend more time looking through everything. If you're into occult, divination, herbs, anything spiritual, then this is the shop for you.

As a native person, I really notice when metaphysical shops sell white sage and other closed Indigenous practices. I kind of learned to just expect it when I visited them. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they didn’t. It may not seem like a big deal to some people, but this made me really want to support this store. Being new to the metaphysical side of life, I only just today discovered Raven and Crone. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting to practitioners, new or experienced, and I felt very at home. However, it certainly gives off a sense that it would be in one's best interest to never cross the crone. They have many things I had never seen before, such as feather and ink well writing kits, leather bound blank books, beeswax candles, tumbled crystals, crystal and glass balls, selenite wands, mini cauldrons, feathers, bottles of unusual shapes, tarot cards and tarot readings, incense, runes, brooms, books, dried teas, jewelry, and much much more. The staff were considerate, kind, friendly, and informative. I will certainly be returning to this shop for my various metaphysical needs!

This was my first experience here...and all I can say is WOW. The atmosphere was very inviting. I felt nothing but positive vibes from the store and from the employees! When you walk in, you are greeted with shelves full of candles, oils, jewelry, tarot cards, and hand-made items from local artisans. The had a small room in the back with plenty of wonderful books and delicious teas. I also love how they have their tarot cards...two huge binders with every deck they have, allowing customers to look at a few before they purchase the whole deck! So grab a free cup of tea, sit down and read a book, and enjoy this wonderful, eclectic store!

And i agree with a comment below that it is more than a store, it’s a community. Beth, one of the shopkeepers, is truly a wonderful human... her energy is so beautiful, and she is so kind and helpful. I talked to her today for almost an hour! As a baby witch, I think that kind of guidance is incredibly meaningful and much appreciated. It’s the highlight of my week when I run to R&C!!!!!

I love the shop, though hopefully they can get a bigger place with more parking hahaha. But somehow they manage to stuff the shop full to the brim with awesome stuff. Tools, decor, candles, cards, herbs, spices, jewelry, spell components/kits/ tea, books and crystals. And they are never stale or stagnant with their stock, always changing it up while still having some constants. Besides Barns and Nobel, Raven and Crone would be the other place I'd go on a shopping spree if I won the lottery.

Great selection of home made crafts and ritual tools. There's a small library available to read and also a selection of books to buy, both local and otherwise. Lots of herbs, both pre-portioned and more of a "bulk" available behind the counter. They offer tarot readings for $1 a minute, free tea (there is a donations box if you're feeling generous), and help looking for anything they might have. They do not sell online, but it does look like it's more than worth going into the shop to check things out.

I’ve read the reviews for this spot for over a year, and haven’t made my way over... I’m so bummed out that I haven’t gone until yesterday! I was having a rough and anxious week, and the minute I stepped into the shop I felt very welcome and almost at home! The two guys working there were super helpful and informative, even with my anxious and socially awkward self lol! They have an amazing variety of metaphysical tools and supplies such as books, incense, stones, herbs, teas, and even coffin nails and graveyard dirt! I was especially impressed with their huge variety of candles. I live in the Spartanburg (SC) area so this shop isn’t too far from me and I will DEFINITELY be back.
