First time here. Heard a lot of great things about it. Also, I have seen it on magazines and videos. Really fun place. My kids and brother had a lot of fun. Signing waivers are required. Indoor and outdoor great for all ages. They also have a shop inside and if you do need rentals they have it. The staff are nice and friendly. Definitely will be returning!

Skatepark of Tampa has it all and everyone that works here enjoys their job and provides great customer service. My son and I have been here numerous times and have never walked away without a great experience. The shop has everything you could need and the employees are always down to get you what you need to get you skating. The park has 3 courses, The pro course, outside concrete course, and the Am course in the back wearhouse with the chill room. The park has amazing atmosphere and the park is designed to have something for every rider. Skaters and scooters are allowed always and they also allow bikes on certain sessions. You pay for your session and can come and go all day, which was awesome to go grab something to eat and come back to skate. I cannot say enough great things about this park, come to Skatepark of Tampa and Shred!

Brian, and the entire team, have created a one of a kind institution here in Tampa, dedicated to all things skateboarding. When I first came to Tampa, in early 1992, there really wasn't much going on for a twenty-something year old skateboarder from Washington D.C. I think there really was only Mike McGill's park in Oldsmar, at the time. I was so frustrated when skating downtown because of the gestapo control the local police had enforced on skateboarders at that time. There was a great community, though, with the Bro Bowl pretty much making up the epicenter. That all changed, however, with the establishment of SPOT. Now, years later, we can thank all the incredibly hard work, and community outreach that Brian, et al, have engendered, which has culminated in making the city of Tampa one of the most iconic skate scenes in the world. I'm now older in years, with a teenager of my own, who's completely engrossed in this well established skate boarding scene, all thanks to the years of hard work, and dedication of the SPOT family and the skateboarders whom call this region home. Do yourself a favor and come for an amazing session, while making sure to peruse one of the most well appointed skate shops around.

We have always had a great experience here. My boys did the summer camp here in 2021 and had a blast. Recently we attended the Tampa Pro and the staff was awesome. Amanda built my son is first custom board and explained the entire process to him, she was very patient and knowledgeable. He loves his new setup.

What can you say bad about a legendary staple skatepark in the skateboarding industry and community. Everything they do or event they hold is top shelf excitement and the best skateboarding hands down in the world during the annual Tampa Am and Tampa Pro venues. A must hit in your lifetime if your into skate, music and the culture that surrounds it. 5 stars all day.

Best indoor skatepark in Florida. Amazing selection and the hottest events. I love that they always change this place up for freshness and new creativity for the athletes of all skill levels. One more time, I used to ride a long time ago and it was the best time of my life and always missed it and saw a video whit tony hawk and a guy I use to look up to and they still ride and they still ride and I said that what is stopping me so I said WT# so I met Tim he hooked me up and got me up to speed on the new stuff and took his time and help me with the whole set up. Truck wheels hardware and even assemble cause I just wanted to go home and ride and when I got home I rode almost all day. Man I missed it and yeah I crash twice and it's nice to know I have not forgotten how to fall and I can't wait to do the halfpipe again. Thank you, Tim and Skatepark of Tampa I wish I knew you were here a long time ago.

Great SPOT! Beginners and pros all seemed welcomed here and all seem to find something to skate. It’s a huge indoor park with a small outdoor section. Friendly staff and a full service skate shop. Only $10 to skate makes it well worth it. Even when it’s super busy it’s so large that it doesn’t feel overcrowded.

My 11 and 9 yo beginners had the best time at Saturday's skate lesson with Zack. He was so welcoming and supportive of all the newbies and everyone learned skills, gained confidence and finished the lesson feeling like champions. They can't wait to go back. My two stuck around and skated for a couple hours after the lesson and all the skaters there were offering them props on what they were doing well and tips on how to improve. What a great experience!

We traveled from St Augustine to Tampa for the Tampa pro event! My boyfriend is a die hard skater so he was totally stoked to be able to make it. We got a ton of signatures from so many pro skaters on pretty cool Tampa pro posters. Of course we each had to get our own! Everyone there was super friendly and we definitely enjoyed our time there. We didn't get the best pictures because we were asking random people to take them for us but it's the memory that counts! My boyfriend caught the Nike SB hat that I'm wearing, in a toss out.

I have done open skate, skate board class, and shopped in the pro shop. Best experience for my son with skating yet!! The instructor stayed an extra 30 mins with my son one on one and the pro shop has such a wide variety of different brands and everything you need! We have been back three days in a row!

I looked everywhere for the pair of Converse my daughter had been wanting. Finally found them online here. Not only did they have the impossible to find shoes, they had them at regular price (hard to find tend to get inflated). Ridiculously fast shipping, I ordered on Friday and received them Sunday. Been coming here since I was 7. Love the atmosphere very chill. Everyone is so kind and helpful to beginners and the employees are great. The shop is a great experience because of their selection and quality of hardgoods. Skate Camp and lessons are so fun for younger kids. No child is too young or too inexperienced to come here and shred. Online orders ship incredibly fast with the precision and accuracy you would expect from a large online retailer. My favorite employees are Tim, Rolo, and Uncle Sam! Great place for all ages!

Amazing skatepark! Would give 5 stars but the only thing is there are some leaks in the roof that has caused a lot of people to fall. It’s kind of hard to avoid them but they aren’t everywhere, just in a few spots. There are buckets under it and i will definitely be coming back here. Best skatepark i’ve been to.

If you like to skate, this is probably one of the best skate parks I've ever seen. They have a little bit of everything from rails to stairs to quarter pipes. They have an indoor and outdoor area. It is a little small l, so if it's crowded it's easy to skate up on someone else. However, for what they have available to skate on, you can't beat this place. They gave an area upstairs where you can sit and watch. It does get cold in the winter months so bring a jacket unless you're skating. I would assume that it would be hot in the summer. They do have a full skate shop up front where you can buy anything you need. The place is very well built and very clean. They do offer skate camps and after school programs. People of all ages are welcome here.

A great place, I cannot say enough good things about this place. Very safe atmosphere to take your kids and even leave them if they are old enough. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. To me skateboarders are like tattoo artist if you're not good most of them don't want to help you but this place is different. The staff and even some of the better skateboarders always seem to want to help my son skate better. Although you can buy skateboard products cheaper online I buy all mine here just because of the service and the friendly and courteous staff. Great place. Everything is laid back and nobody is high-strung

Okay, maybe i am too nice with the stars on they are's. You go in and see stress free people, i promise its better than the mouse house on the right right coast. People great you here. Then, it is way cold this time of year. Like, it isn't my first rodeo but tje skater courtesy in the early fall is easy to smell. Sweat from sub 90° weather is like lotion opt sunscreen bikini vacation. I prefer butters. The pro course is codeword "zippy". Now they have bowl ramp and mini ramp plus lessons for the learned lessons tricks. Plus Vans Shoes that skate like sneakers i.e. E-R-E-R sqrrt. Hasn't changed much since Alex Krine's birthday party when they finished that bowl

I have ordered a slew of stuff from these guys. More recently with the quarantine, I decided back in March that I would regularly support this place in terms of an online option. They always have the vans authentic‘s I am looking for in stock, and their UPS ground option is great. I’ve placed over 5 orders with them since March. Same shoes every time! I placed an order on a Monday and got it Wednesday. Never once have I waited for a response as sometimes I want to know immediately when it would ship; these guys will get right back to you and if you call them, they will answer your question right there on the phone and are friendly. In terms of an online skate shop, I suggest you go through SPOT.

Awesome place for the kids !! Staff was very friendly, bring plenty of drinks, they have some there too. Most of it is inside two huge warehouse structures with cement ramps and Hills are in between. The kids (and 20 somethings) were very polite and gave plenty of room to beginners. Actually, one younger kids (9 -12) was helping my 9yo with some basics! Totally cool! We stayed for about 2 hours and both my kids were tired and had alot of fun. Thank You S.P.O.T.

Friendly staff and the shop has a good stock. My kids and I recently started skating and they helped us pick out everything we needed and answered all our questions. Prices seem competitive with online stores as well. The skatepark side is huge and always seems busy. We've visited many times but only skated here once. It was a little too busy for my kids to enjoy as beginners, they always felt like they were waiting on someone or were in someone's way.

Simply iconic. The Pro course is indoors. Bicycle friendly, scooter kids show up occassionally. There is a large cement riding area outside and a great wooden beginner area inside an adjoining building. There is an air conditioned lounge area with pizza and snacks. Pro shop has all your riding needs and the staff is super helpful and friendly.

Great skatepark but also a great business. Tastefully designed shop with helpful staff that helped me get set up with protective gear after being brand new to this sport. Skatepark is well maintained and huge. There's a big warehouse covered "pro park" area with bigger ramps and talent dudes. There's a concrete carving area that is really fun. There's also another covered wear house with a wooden bowl and smaller ramps. There's an air conditioned parents lounge in that area as well as a full service snack bar. There's lockers for gear and bathrooms. Everyone was nice and helpful. I'll be making a point to come all the way over from St. Pete when I can- especially because girls skate for free!

Super magical place. I was afraid it would be too hardcore for little kids. I was afraid there would be a bunch of young adults acting crazy, saying inappropriate things and doing drugs, but none of that was the case. Everybody was cool and respectful. I was also surprised how big all the skating areas were, too. Everything's so spread out. Everyone's not piled up on top of each other. Mad space to move around and be in your own zone. We had a good time.

SKATE PARK OF TAMPA! Is the best of the best of the best sir! I grew up going to this park to skate when I was a teenager. I still go every now and then to check out the competitions and other events. Unfortunately I have to many injuries to skateboard anymore but being part of the scene still brings me joy!

Awesome park, staple of Tampa. It's HOT, Like really HOT. Met a couple guys traveled all the way from Texas to check out SPOT. Glad they filled a notch on their bucket list. Facility is big, plenty of big drops, tons of rails, and a well stocked skate shop. Workers in skate shop were extremely knowledgeable attentive and straight out Pleasant. There's a nice sitting area that is air-conditioned for parents that would like to read a book or watch some of the locals grind on the big screen. Did I mention it's hot? But what do you expect it's Florida and it's summer that's not the skatepark fault. Drink plenty of water have fun and shred it

Very incredible mostly indoor skatepark in Tampa. Our 11 year old is learning how to skate and doing different tricks in the skate park was perfect for our time while on vacation in Tampa. There's plenty of parking and the skatepark is laid out where difficulty levels of all kinds can be challenged and improve. It was nice to have shade and access to water fountain and there's even an indoor air-conditioned area where you can go to. Definitely worth the money it's $10 to get in but it's certainly worth it if you make it last for a few hours. I highly recommend coming to the skatepark the only downside was the loudness of the music there and sometimes they'll play a full album of punk and it gets a little redundant, it wasn't that bad but they could use a little bit of music variety.

This is a part of the New Tampa Recreation Center, beautiful place. The skate parks only open certain hours per day, so check in advance. The cost is $4 per person, per visit. No scooter, bikes or roller skates allowed.

Love this park! It's basically my son's second home. He has been skating here for 5 years and has learned so much from the amazing staff and the great friends he's made. One person that really stands out for us is Sterling. He is more then just helpful in the shop, he has answer's for everything! From boards to trucks, bearings to clothing, events to contests; and even Boards for Bros. He even takes the time to encourage Ryan to become a better skater, to compete in contests, and even makes time to skate with him when he isn't working. He is a great asset to SPoT and helps to add to the "family feel" that keeps you coming back. SPoT is lucky to have him.

Strongly suggest this skatepark ive been to more than 30 skateparks and this is the best one yet. Alot of good skaters there that can help you. They have a pro course and an outdoor and for people that just started. its a brilliant idea. Their's a parents lounge that is great for the parents. Also there is good staff that are kind and will help you. the shop is amazing there is anything you can think of. if i could rate this a 10star i would.

Been skating here since like 97. One of the best parks in the US. Period. The shop has an insane selection of everything you could possibly want, with knowledgeable staff willing to help out with whatever you need. If you have questions, just ask. They're awesome. Killer selection of decks, including some in-shop exclusives that you can't buy online. TONS of options for hardware, bearings, griptape, wheels, trucks etc. Prices are almost always cheaper than CCS, Zumiez and all the other giant conglomerate companies that are putting these small local shops out of business. I wish I could give like a hundred stars for the experience I had today, My gf and I flew from Oregon to visit her parents and this has always been on the bucket list for me, Ive been skateboarding 20 years and also have been to other facilities on the east coast and of course SPOT holds it down for the east coast scene, all three sections were awesome to skate and the staff were the nicest I’ve ever seen in a shop/skatepark , not to mention the selection of goods is top notch, Thank you will definetly be coming back in the future next opportunity we have. The park itself is big with plenty of options for every level of experience. Just make sure you never leave your gear unattended or it will walk away. My son had a skateboard and a scooter and would switch between the two leaving the other out on the picnic tables. When we went up to buy some new wheels in the skate shop someone stole the scooter. We were at the only exit so they would have had to throw it over a fence to a buddy to get it past the exit. When we returned from the shop another kid was talking to us and mentioned how his BMX was stolen a few weeks previous while he was riding his board which is when I noticed our scooter was missing. So be prepared and make sure you have someone watching your gear 100% of the time. We were there August 5th 2018 @ 3:30

I skateboarded in the late 80s and up till around 1996 then moved to Florida from New York and found a full time job that limited my skating. Unfortunately skating kept getting further away, until I finally gave it up. That was almost 23 years ago now, then about 2 weeks ago a buddy invited to SPOT with his family for the ASKATE clinic for autism. In my 23 years of living here I never made it to SPOT and I always wanted to, even tho I quit skating I still would keep up on skateboarding and watch it whenever I could. Well I finally made it to SPOT to skate with some amazing kids with autism and let's just say being there and seeing it person sparked something inside me. I immediately went to the shop and bought a complete board, obviously I went old school and purchased a 8.98 Rudy Johnson deck with the old school independent trucks and some spitfire wheels. The gentleman that helped me was amazing, being 41 and out of the game for so long I has alot of questions and he answered them all. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly, needless to say I'm back on a board and currently relearning my balance and the fundamentals. I know I'll never do half the stuff I did back then but just rolling around is a great feeling, so I have SPOT and the amazing folks at ASKATE to thank for sparking me and getting me back on a board after 23 years off. Once I learn some more I will be definitely visiting SPOT more often.

Great course that caters to beginners and pros alike, however, BMXers: mind your tires, I run Merritt OPTIONs front and back and I felt like I was riding on ice. While I believe failure to clean the course may have been a factor in this, switching to FIT FAFs solved my issue.
