I LOVE Royal Range! A couple of years ago I was able to attend one of there handgun classes and have used their range several times. Today I had the most pleasant experience with two of the employees Caleb and John Smith. Their expertise and customer service blew me away. They took the time to explain answers to the questions I asked, fixed the sight on my pistol, modified the sheath for my knife, and provided me with information about the next gun I plan on buying. I spent an hour in the shooting range and tho I did not get the man’s name, another employee gave me tips on my grip while shooting which enabled me to nail the target! You have to check them out…thank you Royal Range!

Once in a lifetime experience! Came here for my brothers bachelor party. Scott and the rest of the guys were not only super knowledgeable and helpful but also very personable and funny, making our experience exceed our expectations by far! For a while now, I have heard about how welcoming the Royal Range was. I was not disappointed when I paid them a visit. For me, this was extremely important as I have visited several ranges of late and usually I received what I refer to as the bare bones of a greeting. Here, I feel that the concept of customer appreciation is fully adopted into the work culture. I will definitely be returning.

Royal Range, you guys rock! Carl helped me set up a boys' day at the range to celebrate our friend getting married! Carl set us up in our room, and to be honest. The whole experience was top class! I can speak on behalf of the entire crew, and we recommend Royal Range. The place was clean, well maintained. The owner showed up and shared their history with us, which was a plus. We drove from Charlotte, NC to Nashville just to come here for my son's 13th birthday after he found it online a couple years ago, to do the full auto shooting experience and it definitely exceeded his and mine expectations! The prices were great as well as the selection and the range instructors were genuinely good dudes that were helpful as well as respectful as can be, not treating him like some kind of kid or anything from the selection he decided to rent. They also gave him a free magazine for his birthday, so this has been "the best day of his life" according to my son, and I couldn't be more grateful to these guys! Thank so much.

Had the best time with our family and friends at the range back in November. We were visiting our friends for Thanksgiving, took a trip to the range for the day, enjoying a full group experience. I was a part of a small bachelor party and let me tell you very quickly: not a single thing could have been done better. We had four guys - two of us are quite "comfortable" and the other two were still learning some firearm basics. The staff we worked with catered to all levels of comfort and personalities. Carl was our group liaison and we could not have asked for a funnier, friendlier, or approachable representative. He made sure we stayed safe and respected the range rules, but also created an environment where we could be ourselves and have *responsible* fun. As far as the range itself - one of the best facilities we've been to across the contiguous US. The Bachelor himself is quite the "spicy civilian" and he was left hungry for nothing. We were able to shoot American classics like the Thompson and Grease Gun, through to today's Sig MCX variants and Big-Bore vehicle stoppers. The selection available is one of the most extensive I've seen - all while feeling comfortable with the support of the range officials. I genuinely cannot recommend this facility enough for both seasoned vets and new shooters. I refuse to go to Nashville again and not visit the Royal Range. Big thank you to Carl, Andy, and the two other officials whose names I regretfully forget (ex-Nash Police, Marine veteran with the beard) for making our experience into lifetime memories.

I purchased my first handgun this week from Royal Range and the experience was great. 1. They had what I wanted in stock and at the same price Bass Pro had it on sale (but out of stock). I believe it was the cheapest local price I could find. I was in and out within an hour. 2. The next day I came back to purchase ammo and go to the range by myself for the first time. I expected ammo prices to be absurd, but they were not any more than anywhere else I could go locally. Maybe even lower. In the range, I explained to the officer that I was a new and he was kind and accommodating to my questions. I can say I left the range with more knowledge and experience than I had coming in.

We had a bachelor party here. Carl was our range instructor. We had a great time prices were reasonable all staff super friendly. If I lived in the area I would be a member. Owner showed us around to all the other training facilities. It was a great tour. For 3 novice and 1 experienced non expert all had a great time. Hope to return one day.

What a great place. The facility is always so clean, the staff is always helpful.. Best of all I’ve taken 2 classes so far defensive shotgun1 and defensive pistol 1. The experience of the trainers is top notch. Bob and Joe are awesome.. there is a class for everyone and shooters of any level.. They spent time in class to show me tricks and different ways to help me become a better shooter and tactics to help protect me and my loved ones .. Thank you royal range.. If you guys are reading this debating on taking a class go for It . The firearm instructors are amazing!

Best range and gun prices within in or around Nashville. I drive by 3 other gun stores every time I come here and always will. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They keep a great stock of weapons. The range goes out to 60m+ indoors.

Absolutely perfect experience - 3 friends and I were visiting from Canada and stopped by. The staff were so friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. The selection was unbelievable and the prices were totally fair. We had a blast shooting the MG, 50 cal, tommy gun and some handguns. This was the coolest range experience I’ve had so far! I got to shoot a fully automatic for the first time, and it was so much fun! The 50 cal is unbelievable and the targets are hilarious. Everyone who works there is very nice and accommodating. I also bought a conceal carry purse, and I think it is lovely. I’d definitely check it out if you’re in the area.

First time at the Royal Range for myself and my two colleagues. We had a blast - no pun intended. It was an amazing experience. The staff was super friendly and very helpful - special mention to Cody who was fantastic. He made us feel comfortable and have us great directions. I never thought I would be “the chick that likes guns”. I’ve spent the last 6 months outside of my comfort zone learning about gun safety and applying for my enhanced carry permit. I’ve taken several classes at Royal Range (Women’s Gun Club is also super amazing) and I bought my 380 there as well. I loved the addition of the New Shooters 2 course to their training program. I was able to get detailed instruction from Jeff and Carl on safe gun handling. They answered all of my questions about holsters and carrying as a woman. After the class was over they even asked how could they improve it. If you want to learn about safe gun handling then Royal Range is definitely the place to go.

I am in the crowd of people that don’t leave a review unless it is truly earned. This business is great! From navigating the AFT for suppressors, picking up a stripped lower for an AR build or even a new Microtech knife. Great selection + range. Try them out, you will enjoy the experience. Final thought, why are most fun activities known by the state of California to cause cancer?

We went here for a bachelor party and I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff was amazing! Carl was hilarious and was very excitable. I am pretty much a beginner with shooting but we had some more experienced in our group and it was just an amazing experience that I would recommend to ANYONE. Go check this place out!

Gave my son a trip here for his Christmas present, we drove almost 6 hours to spend the day there. I can’t say enough about how great of an experience it was & how amazing the staff was. My 18 year old said it was the best present he’s ever gotten. We rented & he shot 7 different guns. The guys were so helpful & patient & took extra time telling him what they thought he should rent next. I thought I’d be bored watching but I honestly enjoyed it as much as he did. Hands down a 5 star experience! I never leave reviews but this place & the guys who work there left me no other choice. It’s amazing! Thanks so much for your help & hospitality. You guys rock!

Had a really good experience here so had to leave a review. Haven't done much shooting in the past but was keen to try out as much as I could. Nothing was a problem! Rented about 10 different firearms. Also signed up for the Barrett 50 Cal (one shot) and a full mag of M240Delta James at the front desk was extremely helpful in helping me choose what was best (based on my limited knowledge from Call of Duty). Chad and Mike in the range itself were so helpful. They gave really useful tips (begginer here!) Which actually got me shooting pretty straight. At the end of the day, the excitement comes from the loud bangs, but also the satisfaction of hitting your targets. Chad was always on standby and seemed to just be there whenever I had a problem and sorted me out. My Glock kept jamming so they kindly got me a new one and replaced all my .45 ammunition free of charge. The whole thing felt really safe. Got my fair share of big bangs. Even bought the t-shirt (on sale!) I went there with my partner, but lots of others seemed to be in groups (birthdays, bachelor parties etc). Didn't really feel any "bro" vibes going on though which was nice. Everyone was super friendly. Staff amazing. Great facility. Plenty of choice in rentals. Would recommend to a friend (or a stranger): 5 stars

During March Break my wife, daughter and I took advantage of this fantastic location to fire some firearms. We were not disappointed as we purchased the special deal that allowed us to fire a selection of firearms including the M40 and a .50 Cal Barrett Sniper rifle. We all really enjoyed the experience and the staff at the range were awesome! We really recommend this experience.

Went here recently for a bachelor party. The employees led us through everything with lots of laughs along the way. I personally had very little experience, but felt very comfortable with the staff. The owner came out and interacted with us and even cleaned up spent shells and loaded clips. Had a good selection of weapons to shoot. Would 100 percent recommend. Great experience

Went in with the flatmate to shop for shotguns (flatmate, not me) and possibly an AR-15. Very limited selection on both. Walked to the AR area and 4 employees (I assume as they were behind the counter) were there looking at a rifle - not one greeting, no one asked if I needed help. It’s a clean, bright store and had a decent selection of handguns and some ammunition. I picked a couple of boxes of .357 magnum and we, nothing other then ammo, left. Here’s the breakdown: clean, bright, well organized +1 star, helpful and friendly revolver fan at the counter +1 star, being a gun store +1 star, great range amenities (didn’t use but lots info on the ranges available) +1 star, no greeting from staff too busy playing with a firearm -1 star. I may go back to check out the range but there are places that are closer so it’s a “we’ll see”. If friends are going there I’d go but.....

I’ve been an avid customer of Royal for years. From their retail to training, these folks are A+. Their selection (even during these supply shortages) is always great. They’ve really pride themselves on their training department and the wide selection of classes lets customers hone in any and all skills. Customer service is always top notch and guys like Noah are a wealth of knowledge for questions you may have. Can’t recommend enough.

This has to be the coolest gun range I've EVER been to! A gun range (and store) in an old movie theater! Plenty of lanes. Extremely helpful staff. Very clean. Whether your new or a veteran shooter, this is a MUST-SEE range!

My friends and I came to Nashville looking for great experiences! I knew I wanted to go to a gun range & found this gem! We did the package deal where you can shoot 4 rifles, shoot one rifle on the floor and a machine gun! It was invigorating. We really enjoyed it. Would definitely come back. And the package is only $63 with tax.

This place is hands down the best place for indoor range. The staff is EXCELLENT and very helpful (as long as you’re nice to them too!). Targets are provided in the range and it goes out to 57 yards max, as well as state of the art range equipment. Trying to sight in a rifle? Let them know! The RSO can help you out with that too! The store is loaded with gear and the gunsmiths are straight forward with the customer. They also provide great hands on instruction for self defense and firearms training in their facility. I highly recommend showing up and just taking a look around if you get the chance!

I'd give it 10 stars if I could! I just want to commend the entire staff at Royal Range for the unbelievable experience add 15 guys had Saturday morning at your establishment. Of all the other antics that we had over the weekend the only one that was still being talked about on the way home was the trip to the range. It all started with you guys simply letting us come in early, before you opened, when we got there. Let's talk about Carl, that man loves his job and whatever he is making he deserves a raise. Carl reminds you of one of those crazy screaming salesmen you used to see selling cars on TV in the 90s, but completely genuine. He kept us entertained and safe without being annoying or over bearing. Simply incredible. Jeff Sr., Jeff Jr., and the third RO (I can't remember his name) , were so knowledgeable and friendly. I'm a bit of an "enthusiast" but I felt like I could ask any question and they would happily answer it. The facility was top notch, it was clean, well maintained, and well stocked considering the times we are in. The ranges themselves especially the venting system were state of the art. Besides getting a face full of gas from the suppressed .50 cal Barret we shot (about which we were warned) not a single time did I notice even a hint of contaminated air, even the baby seals got could breathe a bit of freedom in there! I cannot thank everyone at Royal Range enough for the weekend. I will recommend it to be a "must do" stop to anyone that visits Nashville and this will not be my last visit.

I have taken two RR training courses and one course at RR put on by an outside vendor, in addition to purchasing three firearms from the shop (one as an FFL transfer). Everyone I have dealt with from instructors to retail have been extremely courteous and willing to dispense knowledge freely and without any bias. It can be a bit intimidating to walk into something you don't know much about but RR and its staff do a great job of being welcoming and forthright while you are there.

It was my family and friends first time shooting and the employees are FANTASTIC!! Since we were a big, we did a party and were given our own range. They put on music and disco lights! Our officers/rangers were Carl, Chris, Jeff, and Bryan and they were so informative, funny, and just a blast to be with. I can honestly say, besides shooting, they made the experience even much more memorable by themselves alone. I highly recommend Royal Range - it will surely be an amazing experience!☺️

I went through training here for work, years ago. Bob Allen is a top notch professional. I love training (20 years in the Army). He takes the time needed to make sure everyone understands the steps of whichever training evolution we were going through at the time. The facility, from classroom to range, are clean and well ventilated. They have a TON of different weapons to pick from for rental. All in I would go here over any of the other ranges.

Went to the First Shooter class hosted by the general manager Art Cason. I had never shot a gun before and it was a fantastic experience. Staff are friendly, highly credentialed, helpful and professional. Safety was first in all areas of training. The facility is very nice and the member crowd seem like good people. No snobbery or people who brag... it's a very welcoming environment which I - being a female first time shooter - really appreciated. I will definitely be back and recommend Royal Range to anyone, and especially for women who want to find a safe space to learn new skills.

Very different than your average range. This place is awesome. The friendliness of the staff is hands down the best part of the experience. For some reason most ranges and stores have oddly rude people working there, never understood that culture or why, but it is almost universal. Not this place. They are truly helpful and friendly. Ranges are also awesome. The original purpose of the building makes the ranges perfect. Very high quality and well maintained. I have bought from, shipped to, and shot at this facility. This is the best place in The Nashville area and where I will do all future purchases.

Decided it was time to get my concealed carry permit, and Royal Range was the place to do it. Ryan S was the instructor, and his teaching was mostly effortless. You can really tell he has a passion for weapons! His sense of humor is great, too. It made the class go quickly and smoothly. (He is also great at handling "those people" who have a personal story for everything...). After not shooting a handgun in decades, he made me feel very at ease with the range portion of the class, as well. All in all, it was a great experience! I look forward to using the range at Royal Range to decide on a personal weapon, as well as taking more classes!

Had an amazing time here while visiting Nashville with my girlfriend. It was our first time shooting guns and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We rented a few different guns to try on the range. My girlfriend was a little nervous, but the staff did an amazing job making sure we both felt comfortable and safe, all while getting to shoot big guns. We had an absolute blast! Overall an amazing experience and a must visit for anyone in Nashville.

Amazing range and facilities. Great classrooms with all the modern equipment needed for professional classes. The ranges are the most up to date I have seen. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. ONLY issue is trying to hear the instructor in the range while the giant exhaust fans are running. Impossible. I understand the fans are required for our safety, but there should be the small belt clip speakers for instructors while on the range

Went in to have work done on a gun, Brian was knowledgeable and very helpful and the work we needed done was completed while we spent time on the range. The range officers were friendly, and even though they had other lanes shooting full auto and 50 cal, still took time to make sure we were set and had no questions. They did a great job keeping everything running smoothly. I highly recommend this shop for gunsmithing, range time, and purchasing accessories.

Had an amazing time! We shot a whole arsenal of rifles and handguns. One of the owners of the range was with our group of 11 guys for the entire hour and a half we were there. We even got to each shoot the 50cal and keep the brass!

This might be my new favorite place. I've been to several ranges in the area and Royal Range is the best and it's not even close. The staff is super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The multitude of options for ranges is impressive, they are kept very clean and the technology is easy to use. I was sighting in a couple of rifles and the range attendant leant me a screwdriver without hesitation. The gun shop at the front was pretty impressive unto itself and the prices seemed pretty reasonable. I'm really looking forward to going back.

I’ve been going here for years now and will say it’s the best shop and range near Nashville and all the staff are super friendly however I went here to get my enhanced concealed carry license just this last Saturday and let me tell you they did a great job Ryan Simpson kept the class entertaining and informative as did Gretta ireland. I definitely recommend coming here for training and for just going to the range or looking around.

I had a blast at the Royal Range. We rented a 1911, MP5, Thompson, and Desert Eagle. To be honest there were some jams on the first 1911 but we were able to swap it out no problem, and rentals anywhere you go can be like that. Staff was professional and polite in regard to indulging our tourist activity.

Great range. A lot of ranges have nice facilities and cool guns, but the workers lack basic people skills. Royal Range has very friendly and down to earth workers that have always gone out of their way to help me find what I’m looking for. Don’t be afraid to ask the workers questions!! Their gunsmiths do great work & again, are very friendly people who are able to communicate with customers. I highly recommend this range, it has very reasonable hourly lane prices & top of the line facilities and the gun smiths are some of the best around.

This review covers my trip yesterday, which was the first and, at this point, only time I've been there. The store front was clean and welcoming. The lady behind the desk was amazing; she worked quickly and helped us sign in as well as displaying a lot of knowledge about the facilities ...she might have stole a bit of my heart, too, but I'm positive she does that to everyone. JD was our range safety, he presented and offered both a lifetime of knowledge AND experience. The range I used was pretty awesome using digital devices to set ranges for the targets and the filtration system worked very well. We will be coming back. Thanks.

Great range! Came here shooting for a Bachelor Party. Only had to give them a few hours heads up that a party of 10 would be coming in. We had a mixed group of beginners and intermediate shooters. Staff was very knowledgable & helpful, and made sure we were set up for a fun couple of hours. Orlando, one of the instructors was incredible. He worked with the us the entire time and had a great attitude. Highly recommend!

I was in town for a bachelor party and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful and quick to work out what the best deal on the guns we wanted to rent and shoot would be. The owner was also very friendly and was from our home state, he gave us a tour of the range and the training area. After our experience shooting, we played contests with one round and a pistol and to see who could get the tightest grouping with the AR. I would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be a repeat customer next time I'm back in Nashville.

I attended a 3-day advanced personal defense course offered through Rangemaster and hosted at Royal Range. The facilities are excellent, probably some of the best I've visited. The folks who assisted in hosting the training were very helpful and accommodating. I flew in from out of state and coordinated with Steve Allmore to have my ammo shipped there. He also was very helpful and called to let me know that it had arrived and how to get it when I got there. Our class especially appreciated their complimentary coffee (grounds by none other than Black Rifle!). I ended up purchasing a Bladetech ammo carrier because their price was better than anything I could find elsewhere, AND they let me try the carrier out in my class prior to purchase. This is a great place to shop and shoot. We are extremely great full that the staff could accommodate our COPD family member. He was able to shoot only because the range provides stools so he sit down while in the range. The range is a little more expensive than its nearest competition, however, the better lighting and super helpful range officers make it worth paying a few extra dollars. Range facility is one of the best, if not the best middle TN. Store is nice, and staff is as knowledgeable as anywhere else. The reason I'm giving a 3/5 on the review is because of issues I had with the service. Back in December or January, my wife purchased a Sig handgun here. While looking at the pistol, the salesman at the counter told her Royal Range is an "Authorized Sig Sauer Retailer" and if she ever had any issue with the gun, she could bring it back to the store and they would repair it on site or send it back to Sig free of charge. Around April, we noticed the front sight was loose. Called Royal, they told me to call Sig. Called Sig, and was given 2 options: 1. they can email me a shipping label and we could package it up and drop it off at the nearest FedEx location. 2. Or we could take it back to the point of sale and they would deal with the shipping, and we could pick it up there later. We chose option 2, mostly because it's easier to just pick it up at our earliest convenience than try to deal with coordinating a delivery with our schedules when the pistol was sent back. Went to Royal, and was immediately told "We don't do that, it would cost you at least $100 to ship it from here". The gentleman at the cashier's desk could not explain why were were told they could take care of getting it to Sig and back both by the Royal Range sales rep and by Sig Sauer. So we ended up calling Sig Sauer back and getting a shipping label, then dropping it off at FedEx. It's got a lifetime warranty, and Sig will pay for shipping for any repairs the first year. The point is, don't promise things as a selling point that you have no intention of fulfilling. Apparently all "Authorized Sign Sauer dealer" means is that you can sell their firearms...just like every other gun shop, many with better prices. The Outpost Armory is 10 minutes away from our house, has comparable prices and they don't exaggerate their services to make a sale. I'm thinking we will be shopping there from now on. Their new store is bigger anyway, and selection better. Prior to this instance I had absolutely no issue with Royal Range. More than anything I think this is a problem with either the rep who made the initial sale, or the rep I spoke with when we came in on 5/2/21.

Their years of expertise are insightful, and I have such a better understanding and comfort level about what it truly means to have a conceal carry-- and all the decisions that go with when it is and is not ok to use deadly force. I just signed up for a membership. I found the range to be excellent. Staff was friendly, no attitudes. I've been to other ranges in nashville where it feels like the range officers are looming over you just waiting for you to do something wrong. I guess its just an attitude thing.The Royal staff is friendly, offering advice and helpful tips. The shop is well stocked, ok prices. I haven't purchased anything there yet but would certainly consider it.

Had a Bachelor Party with my son here on May 6th with a total of 15 people. We had the full experience with some firing the Barrett. 50 and automatic weapons and some firing their 3 gun package. The entire experience was awesome. Instructors were prepared, friendly and knowledgeable. They were especially good with folks that had never shot a weapon before along with the experienced shooters. I would not change a thing about the planning or execution of this event!

I ordered a gun online and received an email from Mr. Steve Allemore. The email was straight forward about transfer fee which is $35.00 per serialized item and a $10.00 background check fee for a total of $45.00. When I had an issue or concern about the delivery I email him and he responded back in a timely manner. When it was time to pick up my gun the whole process took less than 15 minutes. I was in and out. Overall, customer service was a 5/5.

While visiting Nashville from Australia we decided we wanted to head to a range and try out some firearms that have the FUN switch (full auto) We looked around and decided on Royal Range USA and were damn happy we did! Our RSO Jerry Goodman was absolutely stellar we couldn't recommend him enough! Jerry showed us all the available firearms to rent, full autos, semi autos and handguns, he filled up his tray with a veritable armoury of firearms, we signed the waiver and headed on in. Jerry was friendly from the word go, gave us a quick range safety prep and let us pick a target, from there under Jerrys instruction we shot a range of firearms including a glock 20, MP5 suppressed full auto, Israeli Galil, M4, Vector, full auto glock and the bet fed m60. Shooting with Jerry was like shooting with an old friend, he was full of great conversation, helpful, knowledgeable and never pushy or in your face. Overall it was an absolutely fantastic visit that ended up only costing us $185usd to sample a number of firearms in a safe comfortable environment. I would highly recommend Royal Range and Jerry Goodman to anyone looking for the full auto experience or anything firearms related, if I was a local Royal Range would be the place I spend my money 10/10 on all fronts, thanks for an amazing day Royal Range and Jerry! When we first entered the actual lane the rso on duty was rude from start to finish, There were 4 shooting lanes open and he decided to watch my group instead of evenly watching everyone. I've been to other ranges before so I know we weren't the issue. We proceeded to try to have a good time and instead of giving us warning or even aid us he yelled and gave a disgusting attitude because a slight inch of the gun passed the line, he made two members of my group so uncomfortable that they had to step out in till another younger RSO was on duty. The three stars are for him because he was aiding my group, giving us tips and so friendly -- how it really should be. Will we go going in again ? Has to ONLY be when the younger RSO is there or when the older RSO fixes his attitude, he had no problem being sweet to the other two open lanes.

Brought my Glock 17 slide in for a cerakote job. I knew I wanted camo but wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted it to look. The gunsmith at royal range gave me some suggestions and I ended up with a very sharp looking slide. I will certainly be using them for my gunsmithing and cerakote applications in the future.
