The atmosphere was nice and the tables were extremely well taken care of. Pricing was inexpensive compared to what it may cost to go on a dinner and movie date these days. If you're looking for a safe place for your not so little children this place was very appeasing when bringing the whole family. They also have pro guides to learn fundamentals if you like and it's an ABA sanctioned family pool hall. Sooo. Stop by and rackem' up!

Cool vibe. They don't use talc so you have to buy a $12 glove. So make sure to bring your own. You're able to vape inside but smoking is on the side of the building. Becca was our waitress and she was amazing. Went above and beyond.

Nice place pretty good how if two or more players price goes up and if 3 or more price goes up don’t care and don’t epreateit for one female worker who try to rip me off on change still got me for 3cents bad enough charging tax guess i should of had correct change well because of that don’t think i want to go back as there other places so watch out when you pay the bill might get clip

I go to Bogies all the time! I play in a pool league there on Monday night. Ariana is the waitress that night. She is very attentive and friendly and is also very quick to bring me my drinks and always get them right! I love it when Ariana works because I know I don’t have to worry about my drinks and it allows me to focus more on playing pool because I know whatever I tell her it will be done in a timely fashion! If you stop by Bigues West a Tyrone soon make sure to ask for

$6 unlimited games before 6pm. That's fantastic! Plenty of drinks here, no food, so make sure you eat before or plan to eat after. Nice place to go and hang out with friends or family.

My first time at this location and the staff as well as the patrons made me feel welcome. The pool tables are in perfect condition and are very clean. The rates per hour are better than every pool hall I've been to in Houston. Can't wait to go back.

Been playing league here for almost 3 years. I've played in many billiards halls in Houston and definitely find Bogies West to be the best! The bartenders and wait staff are excellent. Plenty of 8 foot tables and even a few 9 footers. The tables are in great condition, some of the best felts and rails in the city. If you're looking for a place to just knock the balls around with family and friends, or if you're looking for a place to join a league, I believe you'll be extremely pleased with Bogies. Just one note, if you do not like smoke, this is outside the city ordinance and smoking is allowed inside. However, they monitor the tables to make sure no one smokes while they are shooting and there are high vaulted ceilings with plenty of air circulation.

I love this place. It is a genuine pool hall. Not a sports bar with some tables. Pros shoot alongside people just out for the night. The tables are nice and well taken care of. It is clean and has a full bar as well. The service is excellent and lends a friendly feel to the place. Adam and Alex are solid bartenders and will take good care of you. If you’re lucky, you’ll get Lauren as your waitress. They allow smoking, which is great for my cigar addiction.

Customer service here is great! Has a real family feel. Everyone seems to know each other and seem open to meeting new people. Drinks are good but if you want food, try one of the establishments next door (You're able to bring the food in).

Great place for a few friendly racks and cold beers. Lots of space with your choice of 8 or 9 foot tables... Something like 25 or 30 tables! Equipment is well kept and the staff is friendly and attentive. Nice place to hang out if you're killing some time while passing through town. Thanks Bogies!

Only better now that there is no smoking inside. COVID restriction seemed to make the establishment remove all of the pool cues from the wall. Instead, you are handed pool cues without an opinion or choice. They were in good shape and seemed to be taken care of.

I play league here. Tables are in good condition and drinks aren't expensive. On busier nights it's better to order directly from the bar if you need your drink quickly.

Great place to have a drink and shoot pool. We went on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. The drinks were pretty strong and brought quickly, though our amateur pool skills were quickly overpowered by the drinks and we got bored pretty quick. Still, something different for date night and we still had a pretty good time.

I’ve been shooting pool here for over three years, and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. The bartenders make awesome drinks, the waitresses are always on point, and they have the best tables in Houston. The regulars are awesome and respectful, and everyone treats each other like family. Awesome place, great tables, felt is spot on. No holes, burns, spilled drinks on their tables. Only reason for 4 stars is because as much as I pay for their jukebox, I should be able to hear EVERYTHING I pay to listen to. No shenanigans about skipping my song because its Spanish should be tolerated at the prices for music. They're not racial, or profile. But as you can imagine some people don't care too much for it. The same can be said about other "tastes" of music. Anyways, great atmosphere and the bartenders are freaking awesome. Shout out to my boy Jacob!! He never let's me run outta beer 💪💪

I travel a lot and I have been in pool halls in multiple states and countries. This is one of the cleanest friendliest I have been in, well put together with great service. Lauren did an excellent job and met some ridiculous requests. (Thank you for the pen girlie) The tables were well maintained and level which is rare. The bathrooms were like Buccee's clean, which is impressive all on it's own. The only thing I thought was strange was not being able to pick my table. I'm not one who likes to be on a corner table usually, but everyone does things differently and it honestly wasnt that big of deal. We come to Houston at least once a month and we will be back.

Not Slick Willie's anymore Folks! It's still a "family poolhall" however Slick Willie's had a menu of items prepared on site. That is also no longer the case. You can order out for delivery to the pool hall, but the only thing you can purchase on site is drinks or liquor. Staff is attentive and friendly.👍🏾 Good luck figuring out how the posted table rates works though. Over all we had a good time, but you will have to accept the changes or find another Slick Willie's to go to.

Went to play pool with a few friends. I was starving so I'm embarrased to say that bought food from the next door cajun place and brought it in with me. The bartender was really cool with it and didnt bat an eye. I can't exactly remember but I think they charge by the hour per person I think I paid 5 bucks total. All in all had a pretty great night and they have draft shiner. Maybe next time I'll get some pictures.

Former business of Slick Willie's back in the 2000s,I must say I like Bogies more than slicks. Only cause I worked for slicks and didnt like the decor much lol. Bogies is a chilled out pool hall, the bartenders were awesome, I haven't really see alot of male bartenders in awhile so it was nice change. Drinks were nicely made and accommodating, next time have to stay longer to try the pool tables out!

I play pool here about 3 nights a week because their tables are decent compared to most pool halls in houston and the price is right... The unfortunate side is that it appears to be a dive for teenagers with horrible taste in music... all you hear constantly is crappy trap beat hip hop and the worst pop rock tracks that the radio has to offer... Tonight I finally got sick of the music and so I went and put 20 bucks into the jukebox and chose some of my personal favorite music... It was all trip hop which is the furthest thing fom pop music you can imagine.... 20 bucks is a lot of dough to blow on a few tracks of music... well I got to hear a few of my tracks after waiting for hours and hours through all the horrible pop music and then the bouncer decided he didnt like my music and took it upon himself to start skipping all the tracks I payed for with his little remote control from behind the counter... This is simply the rudest thing I have ever experienced at this place....This was taking place and I decided to just leave because I know more crappy trap beat music is on the way... went to the counter to tab out for my pool time and the guy was so busy skipping my music he didnt bother to notice me standing there... I counted 10 tracks he skipped so I just walked out on my tab... we are even now bogies west. next time have a little respect for your paying customers...

This is a great Bogies gor anyone, but it seems especially popular with the college crowd. A few people teach lessons here. It's usually well-used and busy. Always a good atmosphere. The digital juke box DOES work.
