Came here with coworkers for a private event. The catered food was good, service kept our drinks full, and we had so much fun! I’d recommend getting the other game(s) to keep people busy while they are not on the whirlyball court.

Had a lot of fun here for our company Holiday Gathering! Lots to do, awesome staff, great food and drinks; and the whole vibe is welcoming and up beat! It was my first time visiting and playing and I'd love to check out some of the other offerings again in the future! Add this place to your list

It was my first time, I love bumping cars, basketball and beer so I thought this is the best place I can find all of them in one place. It was so much fun to play whirlyball. You play in two teams, maximum of 10 people in total. The place and staff are awesome. It has a parking lot, lots if space inside and 2 whirlyball areas as well as bowling, lasertag and pingpong tables.

Experience was everything.Server Isaiah was very nice and helpful. Manager Tamya was also nice and assertive when we had a moment of miscommunication regarding our reservation. All in all the team was great and I look forward to booking another event with this location.

Pretty cool place. Came out for my birthday. Had a few friends with me. We did Whirly ball on the go carts ( i had fun ) and we bowled two games. The food was just ok…overall not bad.. will be back soon

I don't feel like we were fully informed of the activity options, and we were a little unsure of where things were or how to order food, etc. but we were able to do a half hour of bowling. Which was definitely fun with a relaxed atmosphere. Food was absolutely great; my kids were very impressed with the wings and I'll be thinking about the fries for, possibly, the rest of my life, haha. Mixture of friendly employees but still a few less than helpful. Overall nice experience, but there was more to do than we were able or informed of. Little expensive but still a reasonable night out for my 3 kids and me!

A good place to take a group for an event. Laser tag, bowling and their signature Whirlyball. The staff was attentive and served our food in time to make our scheduled Whirlyball game. They serve a variety of food from pizza to salads. Whirlyball is like playing LaCrosse from bumper cars. It is fast and exciting.

What a blast! Visited for the first time ever for a birthday party group. While a machine or two broke on us and we couldn't play the full amount of people per round, it was great fun. Food "buffet style" was pretty good, and the drinks were also extremely affordable. Lester was a fantastic server and really checked in on all of our party quite often and kept the drinks coming! Great experience - great for a special birthday party of any age.

If I could, I'd give 10 stars. Had an event for our company including executive staff. There were 60 of us and it went perfectly. The wait staff was on point and I couldn't have asked for better service, food or fun. Will definitely plan again with WhirlyBall Chicago.

Booked a special celebration there and had a BLAST! The games are fun, food was good and location was perfect for us. I will say this is NOT a cheap date. But was well worth the money spent.

Fun place to get together with friends. The whirlyball game was a lot of fun. Food is not too good, frozen pizza and soggy sandwiches. But the staff and drinks were pretty good, when they got the order right.

Had my bachelor(ette) party here with a group of 24. Did an open bar and pizza/salad/dessert package for 3 hours, with 1.5 hours of Whirleyball and 1 round of laser tag. Caitlin was great at helping organize the event. It was so much fun we're all talking about going back again soon!

We recently hosted our holiday party at Whirlyball Chicago. Communication leading up to the event was ok but felt rushed at the end given last minute logistics On the day of the event we experienced being put in one in part of the venue with our food in another part. The experience playing Whirlyball was not so great as our team was verbally chastised by a staff member like they were children. Food package was not replenished timely nor was communication and coordination on-site any good. The servers were attentive but were trying to serve too many other parties and groups. Our team had fun with Whirlyball until our lecture and the bowling was good. The event and activities served the purpose but our experience was less than terrific.

Have been here twice this year for different events. One was for their open house and one was for their Christmas in July event. WhirlyBall is a place where adults can act like kids again. Not only can you play WhirlyBall (similar to basketball played in bumper cars), but, you can bowl, play video games as well as larger versions of popular board games. You can also relax, have a drink and watch sports on their many large screen TVs, and have a bite to eat. If you have an event or special occasion such as birthdays, meeting, team events, etc. This is a One-Stop location. They can also arrange to cater food for you, which runs from Pizza, burgers, beef sandwiches to all kinds of sweets. They have their own parking lot and there is street parking available on the side of the building. Such a fun evening for everyone!

I went there with my family and had an amazing time.To my surprise the food was really good, and we did not book and even so we could just pay the walk-in prices and play.We bowled for an hour and then played two games of whirly ball. Definitely something you should do with your family.For someone who likes to drink, this place has a huge selection of draft beers and full fledged bar with everything available.

Today I took my daughter to Whirlyball Chicago for a birthday party laser tag birthday party there it is. The kids had a great time and the adults hung out in the lobby on the second floor and had cocktails and a light lunch while the kids played we had a great time as well. The food was very good and a nice variety always have a great time when I come to this facility.

We didn’t do the WhirlyBall itself as we were only three (you need four), but still had a good time - the food was good and better than most bowling alleys. We played shuffleboard and were quite happy. The family celebrating a 60th birthday seemed quite happy!

What a fun spot for indoor activities and gathering with friends. Love their whirlybowl bowling! Especially if bumper cars is not your thing. And a hidden patio upstairs with great chicago views. Food is great, Buffalo cauliflower wings all the way!

Me and my group didn’t even get to play whirly ball. We accidentally booked our time for bowling. The lady at the front desk said she had a time at 5, but by the time she was getting it set up someone booked it online apparently so we didn’t get to play. She told us laser tag was available whenever we wanted to go, but after we bowled another lady told us it was booked for another 3 hours. The food was ok. They should organize the online and walk in booking better.

This is a great place to take a group - the mashup between lacross and bumper cars is a great time. The per-person cost isn't bad either. They also offer bowling and laser-tag. The food is suprising actually. They have the best fries I've had! The wings are good as is the flat bread. You won't save money on food and drinks though. Beer pretty much starts at $7. The only things I would improve: - Service is slow, probably to be expected, but it could improve. - Seems like the scoring is manual... We ended up having to keep score ourselves unfortunately. If scoring is not manual then the automated scoring on court 2 is flakey. Detracted from the experience a bit.

No matter if it's your first time or your tenth time playing Whirlyball, one always has fantastic fun. It is literally one of those activities, where you can't stop smiling the whole way through. Oh yeah, this facility offers bowling and laser tag, too. Great fun all around, with a full bar, good food and plenty of space and televisions for keeping up with sports. Lots of fun for groups large and small.

We threw our company holiday party here and I have to say you guys, it was a phenomenal experience! I went in on more than a negative mindset but literally moments after I walked inside I felt that "I'm not just working here, I actually want you to have a great time tonight" vibe from every single staff member that I interacted with. That alone changed my attitude and allowed me to enjoy the night. As for the venue overall: very spacious with a few spots to talk quietly with a date but it's still a great spot to bring the whole family, crew and entourage as you sit for some drinks, enjoy some absolutely delicious churros and demolish your boss in bowling! Special thanks to the Servers Ryan and Niecy for playing a more than integral part of making my night an enjoyable experience; these good, hardworking people deserve a raise, or a day off, or both!

Great place for Whirlyball fun with a group of 10, but BEWARE.... you CANNOT take your extra food home. We ordered a lot of food for variety, but had enough left over to feed 15 people and the manager said “there’s a law against taking food home that’s been sitting out because they will be liable if we get sick.” Well Stephanie who took our event food order sure didn’t mention that, or even when we ordered 3 extra pizzas on top of our package minimum. So I feel like they just not only wasted food, but also our money. Luckily there was a group who didn’t order food, and they were happy to have our leftover. But would have been nice if Whirlyball made this clear at the beginning, or time of contract.

I went here for an event that Shriners hospital was having with the actors from Chicago Fire. Everyone that I came in contact with Every Employee was super nice and asked of the could help me. Went bowling here. Easy enough to reserve a lane. Decent food with extensive beer list. no problems parking in their lot. Price to bowl was a little steep and they stop you as soon as your time runs out even if you are close to finishing.

(Specifically the whirly car activity) Highly highly recommend for events/birthdays. I will say the food isn’t anything to write home about.

I always have a great time at Whirly Ball. They have bowling, drinks, food, whirly ball and laser tag. They now also have a rooftop. I love the awesome parking situation that is very hard to find on the north side (they have their own parking lot), the pricing per person per activity is very affordable ($15pp) and the cocktails are good. It's a fun, unique venue. They definitely could use more barstaff though because having one guy at the bar on a weekend is a big no-no.

Think bumper cards with lacrosse and basketball. SUPER fun, esp if you are with friends and people you enjoy. They also have bowling and food and drinks. The food is like pub food, so not great but it works. It's a fun atmosphere and enjoyable activity.

I planned a party at WhirlyBall Chicago for my husband's birthday and was very please with the staff and event planners. Carlos was very thorough and did a great job finding a package that fit my needs and my group size. The check in process was easy and everyone was very friendly. Our server, Kevin, was very attentive and even though he was very busy he made sure to stop by often to check on us. Our refs were friendly and made everyone feel comfortable. We had a very positive experience and will definitely return for future events.

A lot of fun for an office outing! Big new space with bowling and laser tag. Multiple private areas can accommodate large groups. Servers were very attentive and friendly; bringing samples of different beers to our table and making recommendations. If you do plan a party there make sure you give your group enough time to get from one scheduled game to the next.

I brought my kid to a Birthday party. While I waited I ordered a beer and a harvest salad. The beer was good and the salad came out quickly. It was described as an Arugula kale salad etc. It was tasty but didn't appear to have any arugula in it. I mentioned to the staff that it was very good but that I did not see any arugula. They checked it out and happily replaced it for me. I did notice a few pieces of arugula in the new salad but after the first few bites it was gone. It was a very tasty salad but either they were very low on arugula or they should call it a kale salad. The service was also very good. My kid had a blast at the party playing laser tag.

I had to serve 350 people so I called up Whirlyball and they made the whole experience a breeze. I told them the date, time, what I wanted prepared and they took care of all of the rest. I didn't have to stress about anything because their team of professionals took care of it all. Rebecca, Adam, and the events team were excellent and I would highly recommend Whirlyball for parties and catering for large groups of people. The service and food are second to none.

This place is amazing. They are the best games to play for team building. Overgrown kids, us adults, are the ones who have the most fun in them. Defenitley brings out the competitive edge. The wait staff could be better. All in all we had fun.

Great event place for small to medium offices or sports teams to enjoy an outing together. For a fixed fee per person, you can enjoy food, drinks and games. The two games included the day we went we're bowling and Whirlyball, a combination of lacrosse, basketball and bumper cars. The food was good and the drinks were endless. Fun time for a group outing.

Very spacious and clean. I’ve been there few times for WhirlyBall and bowling, had great time for both games. Gave it 5 stars because staffs are nice and very accommodating, we had to make last minute changes due to people canceling and they made sure they make the changes to ensure we’re not overcharged. They have good options of tap beer and food is okay for a Game Center.

We had a blast here. We got 2 hours of whirlyball and the beer and wine package. The whirlyball was a ton of fun and the service was great for our group of 30. The space is really nice and has free parking. My only gripe is it's a bit in the expensive side. Still a ton of fun.

I've been here twice, both times for company outings. WhirlyBall is great, although I did get stuck in the door and the game had to be paused so that crew people can push out the car. Fun game to play! The bowling alleys are great too. There is plenty of space and bars to wonder about. Would recommend!

Drinks: They have a great selection of beers, so if that is your thing...you will be happy. Mixed drinks, they are ok, but not good enough that I would order more than 1 or 2. Never played Whirlyball before, but it was a blast. I would say that our ref really didn't care and didn't really hold us to any rules. We had the court to ourselves (4 people). We only used the court of 30 minutes and that was the perfect amount of time. This location also has bowling. Seemed like this place had 21+, so that made it more enjoyable also. I recommend this place. It was a fun new experience.

An excellent selection of drinks and bar food. Whirlyball with a group was very entertaining although somewhat pricey. Because teams were made of 5 players each, I would recommend sticking to bringing a group of 10 to avoid spending time switching out players. Servers and referees were incredibly considerate and entertaining.

Super fun. Great beer. Even better food, maybe the best fries I have ever had in my life, crispy, but thick and fluffy in the middle and lightly seasoned. Perfect. The games are incredibly fun too, bowling, whitrlball, lasertag.

Fun hangout spot with games and meals for large parties and company outings. Whirlyball is actually fun where lacrosse meets bumper cars. But if that's not your thing, there's bowling, tag and ping pong. Food is nice too and they can arrange a buffet if that's what your party needs. One feedback our group had was on the quality of ping pong equipment. The paddles are worn out and the table is very inconveniently set up in a dimly lit space blocking the way of the staff. Everything else is great otherwise.

If u into bumper cars you will enjoy the spot. 8 bowling lanes. Bar staff under trained but they do measure the drink exact amounts. Beer menu vast with 1 beer costing between 6 and 10$ plenty of parking. Young weird kid checks ids at the door...

I visited this location back in Dec 2017. The place looks great. Alot of space. Clean and well-kept. My family and I played 5 games of WhirlyBall but paid for 3....because the guy allowed us to keep playing. That was very nice of him. They have a small parking lot but street parking is available. Our waitress was the only waitress on the floor unfortunately so we had to be patient as far as ordering and receiving food and drinks. Everything is quiet pricy. There is a large variety of flavored beers. I had a flavored beer...didn't like it. There are like 5 or 6 lines for bowling so plan accordingly. The food was delicious.

It's a great activity for a corporate or private party, everyone leaves with a smile on their face! Environment is casual, service was okay, but fit the event.

We played Whirlyball for an early-day bachelor party activity. What a blast! It was well run and overall a good experience. We also played laser tag and bowling. The laser tag arena is smaller than I'm used to, but still a ton of fun. As far as some users stating you MUST purchase a food/beverage package with a group booking, that's only partially correct. If you book over a week in advance, you are required to meet a food and beverage minimum (making it quite expensive). However, if you book a week or less in advance, you do not have to book any food or beverages. Not booking those actually made it pretty affordable - with 1 hour of Whirlyball (5 games), 3 games of laser tag, and 2 hours of bowling, it was only $50/person. Pretty reasonable, I think. The facility is ridiculously clean and the appetizers were great. Drinks a little on the weak side - stick with beer and you'll be good.

Overall, it was a fun time playing but service was a struggle. We reserved the area for Whirlyball and ordered food for a large group. But it's pretty pricey to play and the food was overpriced as well. Another negative was that there was only one waiter working so some people had items on their receipts that they didn't order, some never got their drinks and were charged. It was a mess. They should look into having more people working if large groups are coming.

Admittedly I am only here for their monthly Beat the Brewer events. Each month a different brewery comes in, specialty kegs in tow, for a showdown with the public. It's free play vs the brewers while you drink their wonderful beers, and there are always gift card and brewery merchandise giveaways. Food is OK and the beer list is great. Pretty pricey unfortunately. Look to spend $8-10 per beer if you drink craft.

Only issue I encountered was whirlyball playing area is cold and needs heat and carts are falling apart along with the tools to play the game. Must improve that. Otherwise nice experience

For those of you who haven't been, Whirlyball is certainly something you need to be able to say you've done. Primarily because it's a lot of fun. Drinks are priced well here, pretty in line with city prices. If you have a couple hours to blow, this is a great place to do it.

Can't book an activity without paying extra for a food package either. May be different if u just walk in which it was pretty dead when me and my friends made a visit. Very empty. The establishment is huge. Business may have just been slow that day.

Free your inner child. It's insanely silly, if whirly ball didn't exist it would be necessary to invent it. Good selection of beers, relaxed staff and referees for when you get a bit antsy on the bumper car floor. Highly recommended. Great team building or circuit breaker fun. Probably not suitable for really young kids or anyone who doesn't want to make a fool of themselves.

The place is newer looking and the laser tag was fun. it was my first time at the updated location. my only issue is that I bought one drink but left my tab open. when I went to close it after lazer tag I got charged for two drinks. I keep track of my drinks because its not the first time a bartender has added extra drinks onto a tab. I just can't leave my tab open at drinking establishments anymore.

We came here with a group of 13, me, my girlfriend and her co-workers. Overall, the experience is extremely expensive because, for a group, you have to purchase a games/food package that came close to $40 per person. The game was fun, but was very expensive and somewhat frustrating considering two things: 1) the length of time you get to play (1 hour) and 2) the fact that the equipment kept breaking down. In each game, one person had a car that would not function, that had to be switched out - in the middle of the game! So one team was down a person for at least one minute of the ten minute game. The food was good, and the craft beer selection is OK. For the cost though? Not worth it beyond trying it once. However, the game itself is a blast when the equipment works, so if you have the opportunity to try it, I say splurge and go for it. But once was enough for me, until it become cheaper to play the game.

I had my doubts about this place when they rennovated - sure, it'd look nice but I kind of loved my old dirty, grungy whirlyball. Came for the first time since they moved into the new building and was blown away. We had a large-ish party (about 20-25) with people coming and going, we had a reservation for both laser tag and whirlyball and the staff was very good about getting us where we needed to be and making suggestions for how we could get the most matches out of our hour of whirlyball. I was incredibly pleasantly surprised with the Laser Tag map - it fulfilled my adult-turned-tween laser tag craving to a T. Go do a walk-through if you have your doubts because there aren't really any good photos of the laser tag arena online. Our server was amazing and, while our reservations required us to have a food package, the party-planning team wasn't pushy about getting a higher-price package.

Went here for a bachelor party, the price point was a little high but the bar was nice had a solid draft selection and the whirly ball itself was a lot of fun. The carts don't go very fast but even so you can manage to bruise and wound yourself. Shooting the wiffle ball is a lot harder than it looks, but driving the carts was really a blast.

Whirlyball is great if you have a pre-reserved large group of people to actually play the game. Do not expect to be able to play outside of this situation if you just go with a couple friends, because you will not be allowed to play whirlyball or laser tag. The only thing we could play was bowling, which is overpriced and you could go to any other bowling alley for an at least as-good experience. There is no bar or food service at the bowling alley, you have to walk across the facility to get drinks and bring them back. The service was lack-luster. Will only go back if I am invited to a specific reserved event because the actual whirlyball game is pretty fun.

The activities in it self was really fun. We didn't have a great experience at the counter when we walked in. The first associate we spoke to asked us "are you here to bowl or just look around?". I dont believe that's a way to greet your customers. We let her know we wanted to play whirly ball. She said there's nothing open for another hour. Ok, fine. We asked if we could reserve to play at two. She told us we couldn't do walk in reservations but she thinks that laser tag and bowling might be open and passed us off to another associate. All we want to do was get in line for whirly ball! The site didn't indicate you had to call, the 2nd associate said regardless you have to call. But isn't that making a reservation? She said we could pay in advance for 2pm. That was what we were trying to do the whole time. Apologies could've been made or the courtesy of saying sorry for the misunderstanding would've been nice too. Otherwise, bowling and whirly ball was fun.

If you live in Chicago long enough you'll come here for a team building outing or birthday party. The building is located off of an industrial strip of Fullerton and is partitioned off into sections for WhirlyBall, arcade games and laser tag. The facilities leave a bit to be desired (mediocre food, dusty equipment) but the staff is very helpful and after running around you'll stop noticing the shortcomings.

The new-ish location (probably a year or two old now) is much more modern, clean and upscale looking than the older one with more of a warehouse feel. I came here with about 50 people for a corporate event. They prepared a dinner and a Whirlyball court for us. 1. Food Mediocre. We had burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, and some other things. The chips were pretty good. 2. Lasertag Fun. The arena could have been a bit more convoluted, but I still had a good time. The guy forgot to tell me that I had to hold down the two buttons at the front to shoot, so my score the first game was pretty bad. 3. Pool okay. Tables were a bit dirty, and they cost $2 per play. 4. DDR I played a game and got my ass kicked. I blame having to stomp on the arrows to get them to trigger. Unfortunately, I didn't play Whirlyball, but it looked pretty good since their baskets had sensors.

This is a good place to hold a group party or team building session. We went on a weekday evening to play laser tag with our group. The laser tag facilities were fun, much like similar places in the suburbs. A few guns didnt work or stopped working in the middle of play, but the staff was quick and attentive to replace those units. We also had food which i would describe as average. Things like baked mostaccioli covered in cheese, italian salad, italian beef. They were what you would expect when feeding a group of 20 or more people. The staff was average- some people really liked their jobs while others appeared to hate their jobs. The physical building was a wreck. Ceiling tiles were stained with water leaks, the bathrooms were gross and in need of cleaning and upgrade, the whole place felt dirty and generally unclean. Overall a good place to have a party or team building, but do yourself a favor and leave your picky friends at home.

Have you ever played? You need to do it at least once. Whirlyball beit for company functions or just friends having fun gives you a legitimate excuse to bump, push, and race your peers. Even if you're terrible and your team loses every round, it's a good time. I am a disadvantaged short arm person but do what I can to run some hard defensive driving. You'll be amazed at how fast your game begins and ends. Other reviews note that the place smells. This is true, it's the smell of competition... and burning electric engine parts along with burnt rubber. You kind sorta get used to it after 5 minutes but I could see how it could cause some sensitive noses some grief. This place has a bar ... they also have a kitchen but I urge you to stick to *simple* drinks at the bar. Think mid-shelf liquor XYZ and soda or stick to beer. They have a pretty good tap list. I did see that they are trying to charge "cover" on weekend nights if you're not scheduled to play. That's pretty ridiculous.

You can eat fried foods and drink beer and still be the top athlete in Whirlyball. There is no need for HGS or steroids in this sport. It's pure and honest. For those who have no idea what this sport is. You play on a team but your in your own vehicle. It's similar to a bumper car. You have a racket in one hand and you use that to pass a whiffle ball to teammates as you try to score a goal. It's like basketball with a goal on each end of the floor. There's a score board too. We like to take a beer break at halftime. See its the best sport ever! So if your looking for a fun activity then give this place a Whirl. It's great for a group of friends to get together. I've attended a bachelor party here. It was a great alternative to standing around in a bar, which we ended up doing after hanging out here. It's fun because it gets that competitive nature going. It also can get a little bloody when your buddy decides to take your arm off with a racket. This is where the fun sport turns into a Ben Stiller movie.
