What an amazing venue! So great to have a place like this in the DMV where riders can ride regardless of the weather. Fun for all skill levels, with good separation in different features. The mini ramp section in great for skaters, while some of the larger ramp sections are better for BMX and scooter riders. There is a small pool feature that is good for both bmx and skaters, although it is small, there are some good lines. They also have a large format big vert half pipe for big tricks and higher skilled boarders. It gets pretty dirty/dusty in this warehouse setup, especially with different riders. BMXers add rubber residue and your wheels will pick up a bit of dirt/dust/debris. Social distancing is pretty good with most everyone being respectful. Have to keep an eye out for the little guys here as the newer riders struggle with trying to not cut off other riders. It comes with age, so have some patience with your fellow riders. There is a good mix of all ages riding here (tiny riders all the way up through us crusty old dudes). The bathroom is out of order, so if you have to go you’ll have to do it somewhere else. Plan ahead. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the shop has quite a few items if you need to fix your gear or even upgrade. The shop is more skateboard focused. Parking lot can get tight, especially when it gets busy.

Where else will you skate indoors? Sure, a few of the ramps need a re-ply, and the bowl can get pretty dusty, but for the money (cash), can't beat it. Employees were friendly. Gear onsite.

Took my 10 yr old daughter for a beginner's lesson. Rob started by helping her build a board, then they went right in to the park. He showed her the basics and she was rolling down short ramps in no time. Rob was kind and patient and she had a fantastic time.

This place is legit. It's just the right amount of grunge mixed with amazing ramps...etc. Bring your board, scooter, bike you wont be dissatisfied. Bring your kids your teens, you go buy a board. It's worth it, price is cheap for a whole day. Dont forget to sign the waiver for the 18 and younger skaters.

Dope indoor skatepark just make sure you have 10 to 20 bucks to get in if your skating. Other than that everything is good. They have a room to just chill in if your not skating so you can just chill and wait for your homies.

This place is fkn awesome best skate exp. I've had in Baltimore it's has sooooo much to ride great street lines and with twi mini ramps you can progress from the small in the front that's I believe around a 3ft in the low side and a 4ft in the high side a sweet spine in the middle. The mini ramp in the back is like 5 ft then there the bowl and a full friggin vert I'm not Tony hawk but I love to pump back and forth and kick Turn at 35 and for the most part the oldest one there everyone was super chill and cool everyone was cheering each other on that's what I love you have a great skate spot and great ppl from bikes to scoots to boards everyone seemed to flow around and with each other well can't wait to return and improve on my transition skills more and more great find thanks to Google maps

Big place even when it's crowded the lines to drop in aren't that long. Younger crowd friendly I've seen kids as young as 4 skating around on there own without their parents having to helicopter. I wish the bowl was bigger it's hard to get good air in the bowl. The quater pipes are wide and high. I saw they were building new features in the shop last time I went and I'm excited to see what they have planned.

the people who go regulary and the people who work there are just fantastic. not the most beginner friendly park. practice somewhere flatter first. the park is mostly wood which is a lot slicker than concrete so be prepared to lose traction on your wheels. this park is fantastic for experienced skateboarders and the price for entry is affordable.

It's a great park! Big enough and lots of different ramps. There's a cool bowl and a big half pipe. Some ramps need to be restored since they have holes or missing tables. But I'm still giving a 5-star review. I loved it and I plan to come every time possible!

***I'm bias and prefer concrete over wood, also, wasn't good enough or brave enough to skate a lot of obstacles in this park.*** That being said, I thought some of these reviews were misleading. Great indoor park option, but I wouldn't say this park is good for beginners aside from the mini-ramp. There wasn't a dedicated area for ppl to work on flat ground or just hit a flat bar, ledge, oranny pad. Super gnarly hubba's too. One bummer was that it was practically as cold inside as it was outside so we ended up leaving after an hour and skated another outdoor park nearby. Great value for the money, for sure, but caters more towards vert and transition skaters, imo. That being said, there are some ledges floating around and a nice hip with a long flat bar, but the ledges we're all stored and pushed away when I was there. Also, I thought it had a wierd/dangerous flow. For example, if someone coming into the park isn't paying attention and a skater is in the middle of a line, it's a collision 💥 because the walkway is through the middle of the park directly crossing the flow of most of the Ramps and lines built. SOME ramps need some upkeep, but overall we're in good shape, but the floor would randomly be chunky here and there and might mess you up. Overall, still a great park and one of the only options in the DMV when the snow or rain is falling. Plus I LOVE that pads and helmets are optional here.

Charm City was awesome. I will definitely be back with my daughter to see if she does any better on a skateboard than her dad did. I was lucky enough to meet a few members of the team today and have an awesome discussion. It's amazing to see a business that has cultivated this part of the city for two and a half decades with such interesting and athletic options for young kids in the city. Definitely worth checking out. #DNABaltimore

This place is awesome! The patrons of this establishment do not know how lucky they are because there were no places like this when I was growing up. The only reason I gave 4-stars is because of the lack of cleanliness. Trust me, I do not expect this type of place to be spotless, but the seating for parents and patrons is filthy as well as the bathrooms and the floor/walls above the foam pit. I would also recommend that all of the piled up wood, tools, nails, saws, etc. be cleaned up as this is a hazard to the people skating/riding and walking around. Very inexpensive entrance fee and the employees, as well as patrons, are very cordial and friendly. All in all, I love this place for my son and his friends to have fun!!

It’s a cool indoor skatepark! The trash was overflowing in most trash cans and the bathroom was disgusting. The amount of flies due to this was overwhelming. The kids had a great time, but could use some upkeep.

It's a huge warehouse with ramps and a foam pit. My 7 year old rides his scooters here and loves it. Ps, there's no heat, which is fine for the riders, but the spectator will be cold.

Very good skatepark for all kinds of riders. Has good jump line for bmx, great street section for skateboard and a great mini ramp, vert ramp, bowl and foam pit for all wheels. Nice and big facility. Staff is nice and keep the place in shape. Snack shack is decent and in great location.

Decent setup. Good price. Seems to get pretty busy on weekends. I like the features it has for street stuff. Doesn’t have the best flow though. I kinda just ride one thing at a time. The ramps are of a pretty good quality. Not the cleanest place but that’s fine for a skatepark. One definite negative is the lack of runaway skateboard stoppers! So dangerous. I saw skateboards flying off the elevated features (stage and halfpipe) constantly. I saw those same runaway boards hit people in the head and back 3 times in 30 minutes. Do not stand anywhere near. I even worry about cruising past. Caution.

This place is a lot of fun! There is tons of space and something for every skill level. One suggestion I have is that there be a allotted time for adults only to utilize the park. Other than that this place is awesome.

Had a birthday party here for my son. Kids LOVED the skate area and the foam pit. They had an absolute ball. On the negative side, place was filthy. Dried up poop all over the toilet seats, ants everywhere in the bathroom, no toilet paper. There were also power tools, saws, etc just laying all about which I thought was a safety hazard. Man at the front desk was zero help.

My original post must have been an error. Each time I have attended Charm city I had a good experience. Nothing to complain about in a skate park. I recommend people going and checking it out. Only thing I thought was annoying was I didnt notice the skate park was hidden right off the the side of the ramp. Maybe a sign on the street entry way to give the driver a heads up. Rating was from 2017. I have not went since being I'm not a skater.

Certainly the best skate park around. Partly due to it being the only skate park around.. . The facility is great with respect to the vast amount of space and ramp architecture. Needs improvement on cleaning, maintenance, organization and micro environment.

I like the miniramp and street course areas the best, it's the only indoor skatepark in the Maryland area and is perfect for going during the winter or rainy days. There's a big choice from boards and wheels to choose from in the skateshop area.

Ive never walked into a place and everyone from the employees to everyone in there jist instantly make you feel like your at home. The ramps are awesome and they have somthing for everyone. If you ever get to the baltimore area even d.c stop by and check out charm city. Bikes boards and scoots dont matter everyone is awesome.

I wanted to write and show my appreciation for Jason and the staff of Charm City Skatepark. I have been skating this park for over 10 years now and have always had a great time, they are always working to build new ramps and improve the park. Recently a friend of mine rented out the park (which you can do, ask owner for details) for a big skate gathering and it was great. I left my Ipad at the skatepark and was super bummed. I called the next day fearing the worse but one of the staff promptly said they had it and were keeping safe! I was very relieved and bought a t shirt when I came to pick up my ipad. DEFINITELY support this park, because they support skating. They have a HUGE selection of skateboards and wheels so pick some up. The Nationals Bmx Racing team (MD Members) stopped here recently! We all had a real fun time. A different exp. for some full time racers, we found the set up to flow nicely and all the people (Both bmx n sk8) were super friendly and very tolerant of each other. Over all a gr8 alternitive for rainy days! We will return.

I think its a REALLY great skatepark for when theres bad weather outside, its more for intermediate skaters or skaters with at least some skill because the obstacles here are technical, but all in all, its an amazing park.
