I went to Tampa Shooters World August 8, 2022 and it was awesome. Me, my girlfriend, her daughter of 13, my sister and my niece. Unfortunately we only shot a .22 Glock since it was there first time. However We are planned January 2023 to return but in Orlando and on two lanes, so they can shoot apart of me and me in the other lane so I can enjoy larger caliber. All in All it was the best experience.

I've been taking classes, making purchases, and seeking various knowledge from this Shooters World location for over 5 years and have only experienced warmth and welcome with every single interaction I've ever had here. That says a lot about the way this location is managed and the beautiful culture they create. Moreover, I'm an ethnic woman with younger kids and I've never once felt ostracized. Because of this developed trust and experience over the years, shooting has become a personal passion and this has become my preferred place to shoot and shop, despite living a distance away. My kids now shoot and are educated here, as well as my other family members, and co-workers. Simply put - Thank you Shooters World Tampa for being awesome!

Shooters world is the best. My parents, siblings and I have been going to this location for years and still drive from south Macdill (& land o lakes) to get there. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. We’ve used the ranges for years, all 4 is of us took the CCP course in 2020/21 and loved it (our instructor was so much fun!), we’ve purchased firearms, ammo, gear you name it. They are the best hands down!

Shooters World is the Walmart of gun stores, except Walmart has better service. I have a membership mostly to use the 100-yard indoor range and I honestly regret renewing it. My biggest complaint is the poor customer service. Unless you are a local celebrity or a pretty girl don't expect service to be consistently good, especially after the dayshift leaves. I don't use the retail store much, but from what I can see the non-sale prices are on the high side. As for the range, approximately 1 out of every 3 visits there are malfunctions on the 100-yard range ( although I suspect sometimes I'm getting the "ice-cream machine is down" treatment). The pistol range is OK, but the carrier system is very dated. Some of the range rules are restrictive such as brass-cased ammo only and no AR pistols on the 100 yard range. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Shooters World for anybody more than the casual shooter.

Staff and instructors at Shooters World are awesome. Their store is well maintained and well stocked with weapons, ammunition and so many other items. The staff were very professional and friendly. Staff were always available if I needed any assistance and were very knowledgeable in their field. Would greatly recommend this place to family and friends!!!

Mr. Drew was an excellent instructor! The CCW class was very informative and he was willing to answer any questions. He was extremely patient, professional, and well organized. The class ran smoothly and was worth every second spent there. I highly recommend this class! The facility was top notch as well!

This place is great! I took the Introductory Class to Firearms and it was excellent. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and very qualified. There might be less expensive courses out there for the beginner, but this one is worth the money.

I have been here a couple of times but I recently purchased my own gun and when I went to the range I wasn't hitting the target so I decided to ask for help. Kay took the time to show me the correct stance and grip and it turned my entire experience around. Today i went to the free gun safety course and then my husband and I took the conceal class. I can't give the trainers enough praise. Not only are they knowledgeable but also very professional. I can't give Shooters World enough praise. Thank you.

I signed my daughter up for what I thought was a youth class. Turns out, it was not, this was 100% MY FAULT. I was considering driving 1hr back home, but after talking with the amazing staff, they talked through a bunch of scenarios, and then suggested we rent a lane and shoot for a while. My daughter is a new shooter, the range officer on duty was right by her side making sure she was as comfortable as she could be. After our range time, I asked when the actual kids class was, and they said they didn't have one on the schedule. A few hours later, I get a call from Mary, she had found a class time for my little girl! She even reserved the spots until I got to a computer and signed her up!! All for a FREE class! My daughter wants to shoot next weekend, and I will be driving the hour to come back to shooters world! Thank you!

Great place to shoot and purchase gun/accessories since they have 'dummy' displays. One of the only 100yd ranges in the area where you don't need a membership to shoot. Retail space is geared more towards people shooting for the first time and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable towards beginners.

This is heaven on earth in my opinion. The shop is huge and has anything a gun owner could possibly want apart from the most obvious being guns and ammo. They have t-shirts from Grunt Style and Nine Line company both companies I enjoy getting gear from myself. Accessories for your weapons,gun cases. They have a shooting range,gun smith and pretty much anything you could possibly want from a gun shop all under one roof! The only down side for me is I wish it was a lil bit closer but when I am in the area I will gladly stop by.

Sam G is the only real gunsmith in Tampa. No ego, no bull. He takes a task, and completes impeccably. Every other gunsmith in Tampa is terrified to touch a rifle if it’s not an Armalite model. He’s found a loyal customer in me until he leaves the store. Outstanding.

They would not allow me to zero my AR9 PCC on the 100-yard. :( They advised I go somewhere else if I wanted to zero my AR9 at a distance longer than 25 yards. I am quite disappointed, as they have not given issues in the past. This maybe my last time at this establishment. I am glad I didn't buy a membership.

This place is Awesome with a capital A!!! So awesome that I had to tell the manager about my experience. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the young lady explained the layout of the store. One of the first I noticed is that the store has two shooting ranges. One for long distance target practice and one for close range combat. The store is basically a gun shop, a shooting range, a training facility, and a museum all in one. When I wandered over to the rifle area, Mr. Alfred made sure that I felt comfortable. He assisted me with the differences between the popular semi auto rifles and the new ones that the military are starting to use right now. I will definitely be coming back to use the shooting range where they offer you free snacks and beverages as well! All in all this was a 5-star experience. Way to go!!! 😎

My only complaints are the gun range prices are stupid expensive and you can only use brass ammo. Other than that prices are ok staff is knowledgeable and friendly. If they don’t have what your looking for they will not order it for you.

Went to Shooters World in Tampa for the very first time since relocating to the area. Was met at the door for my private lesson by Drew(hope I got his name right I'm terrible at that). He was super nice and made me feel at home right away. He was also my instructor. Very informative and again very personable. The range master David, a veteran, was very helpful from a safety stand point and also getting my red dot back in working order when it died. The gunsmith, also a veteran, that I met after my lesson, who's name I didn't catch unfortunately, was very helpful in giving me advice on how to clean and maintain my equipment. Hats off to the whole crew including the front of the store people I interacted with. I would have no hesitation in recommend others to come here.

Great first time experience. Went to range today(Memorial Day) with one of my buddies. We both Military people so we got to use for free today, didn't even know it was free till I read on website right before going. The staff were very professional and nic, from the host/cashier at front counter all the way to one of the random staff members offering everyone free soda in range waiting room due to 30 minute wait for lane, which wasn't that long anyway. The range officers were super respectful and alert I noticed. The lanes were decent with enough space. I was provided with a chair for one of my weapons to use there for scope. Only suggestion, maybe building a bench behind the lane for others to sit while 1 person is firing, while there are 2 on a lane, because they only had 2 chairs for about 10 lanes. But no big deal. Prices for the shopping section seem average compared to others in area. Lots of inventory, like the Walmart of gun stores. Def a cool place.! Very large building. Range prices reasonable for indoor shooting, 20 bucks for 1 person, or $30 for 2 on 1 lane. Would certainly return again. The management here are def training their employees right, well at least from what I experienced. Thanks! 😃

I purchased my first hand gun and wanted some basic training and safety. I took the First Shots class that Shooters World offers free of charge (had to purchase ammunition). This was a two-hour class, and the instructors Derrick and Henry were outstanding. The first part was classroom, and they went over basic firearm safety and procedures. They then went through the basics of shooting. This was very thorough, and they did a great job. We then went to the range, which was run very professionally, and we were able to shoot. The instructors were very patient and accommodating. They also have a great assortment of firearms for sale and accessories. I would highly recommend Shooters World for beginners to experienced shooters.

Nice and clean range with great A/C. Friendly staff. Had to wait 30 minutes for a lane. They take your cell number and text updates every 10 minutes. Then they text when your lane is ready. Very cool.

It's definitely pricey, but it's a good quality place. I understand some people have bad experiences here, but the place overall is great. They are very busy because of how great of a gun store it is. You might have to wait to talk to someone, but there is so much to see it's fine. Don't come here in a rush, but it's definitely worth the visit. I love walking here, shoot straight, and bass pro. They are also great about answering questions that you call in to ask.

Really good experience!! It was my first time shooting so I was very nervous, in the beginning a little confuse since the shooting area is all the way back, once we got there you filled some information and from there , the customer service start really well. Typically have an amazing experience at this location. Love shooters world with a passion. Half my safe was purchased here. However this recent visit I was severely let down. One of the employees who has worked there as long as I’ve been going is severely misinformed on ATF and NFA regulations and is handing out false information that could get someone potentially put in prison. Specifically regarding Short barreled rifles/suppressors and the requirements around owning/making them and the engravings that are ABSOLUTELY required on said items. Especially if you are assembling it after the fact. Please make sure your employees are properly informed on these topics. Thankfully I wasn’t actually asking about the regulations and was simply asking whether they offered the engraving service.(which he conveniently didn’t answer, insisting it was unnecessary)I already know how not to go to prison. This guy apparently does not and claims to own these items himself. Which is hard to believe if he doesn’t even know how to properly obtain them. Otherwise heartily recommend this location and have never had a single other issue.

I've been here a few times to shoot, purchase some firearms, and take my CCW Class. Overall every experience has been excellent thanks to the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The facility itself is top notch with probably the best selection of firearms in town and they even stock from lesser known brands. The only negative I can say is that they get extremely busy to shoot during the weekends during the middle of the day although my wait has never been more than about 20 minutes.

My husband and I went to Shooters World tonight to look at some guns. We go here all the time but I have to say tonight was the best experience we have had here! First Henry was helping us and was absolutely amazing and extremely knowledgeable! Then Nick helped us and was absolutely amazing as well! My husband has been looking for a certain gun and was quite disappointed to see they didn't have it. All of a sudden Nick comes from the back and says look at this! He remembered they had one (a used one) in the back and absolutely made my husband's night!! I just had to give a huge shout out to Nick and to Henry! They were both awesome!!

If you are thinking about purchasing a gun or have a spouse with a handgun and want to learn how to shoot. This is by far the best place to attend a class. The instructors were very through and patient with us. I went with mom and we felt very, very safe shooting for our first time.

I attended the Women's Handgun 101 class Saturday, March 19th. There were 6 of us there and I have to admit it was such a great experience that I will take my CC with them. Derek and all the other instructors were patient with our questions, our clarifications and with our range experience. They made me feel much more comfortable handling my gun than I have ever been. I actually enjoyed the experience, where I was very unsure in the beginning. I definitely recommend taking this class and HERE! I will be back!

The Good - Beautiful facility with a large variety of items, beautiful and well maintained range. They maintain a very safe environment. Great place to shoot, though you may be waiting a while (sometimes several hours) to get in, but they do have a great waiting area! The Bad - Most everything is extremely overpriced to the point that I generally wouldn't recommend going here to buy much unless you do some research first. You may find a good deal here, who knows. I haven't in all my times of looking though. For example, a little Ruger EC9S - standard price everywhere right now is between $279-$299 TOPS, and that's local. I've found for $239 elsewhere. Shooters World charges $399 for the same firearm. That's 25% over the cost anywhere else. My recommendation - Come here to shoot, browse, handle firearms you're not sure about... but probably buy somewhere else unless you can confirm they are cheaper.

First time visiting Shooters World and I was very surprised to say the least. It’s a firearm enthusiasts dream. The sales showroom is massive with anything you could really want. You can test the frame on many different handguns on the market in the center round display with probably the better part of 200 different models to choose from so you can see how you like the feel of handgun while not having to have a clerk pull the model out. It’s like a cel phone display setup. The range has friendly staff who are attentive and helpful. It wasn’t very busy on the range when I visited on a Monday. The Range Staff were also helpful and were quick to answer questions regarding operations. They kept the shell casings pushed back and out of the way often and kept it clean and enjoyable. Didn’t have a chance to visit the on site Gunsmith to get advice to dial in my optic, maybe next time. Overall a great experience and I did really enjoy my time there. I’ll post more as I use other services in the store , but it’s a laid back atmosphere and I will go back for sure.

Excellent if you go there to use the range. The staff have always been professional, i know they dont decide the prices on inventory. Not a great place for buying a new pistol, they charge the exact MSRP on their pistols. They wanted $700 for a Gen 4 Glock 21 without a M.O.S. slide, I found that same pistol new at a mom & pop shop for $550. Most retailers charge under the MSRP. I normally wouldn't have written this from a 5 star to a 3 star. To the owner c'mon man, your charging $700 for a pistol that most other businesses charge $150 less for. You are a bigger more established business with more money than a mom & pop shop selling the same pistol for $550. A bit disappointed because I like Shooters World's range and staff alot.

The range itself is top notch. Oversized stalls and ice cold ac make for a very comfortable shooting experience. Your experience may vary greatly depending on which RSOs are on the clock. Some are pretty chill and others will go out of their way to make your experience miserable. This range recently banned all steel case ammo from being used, citing an increased risk of damaging the backstop / causing a fire. This is a strange sudden shift in rule enforcement and will surely drive people away from shooting here frequently. Steel cased ammo is the only way to shoot affordably without reloading your own ammo (which they probably wouldn't allow anyways). Ultimately I would love to keep shooting here but I will likely go to FFA as they allow steel case ammo.

Impressive store. This is just a fun store. They provide an easy way to test the feel of over 100 firearms, have a selection of misc firearm merchandise that is impressive, and the staff was way kind. Ammo prices were also reasonable and the variety of ammo available was impressive. Definitely will return when I’m in town.

Very large gun store with a good variety of hand guns with some rifles. There is a shooting range and gunsmith on site. They have many accessories and some ammo also. Good history displays and a lot to look at. However....The customer service is just very mediocre. They will have 3 greeters, a salesman in front of every brand of pistol but 1 person running background checks and weapon pickup. That line is always really backed up and you always see 1-2 poor souls struggling back there, with multiple employees on the floor just talking to each other. You can never get anyone on the phone at receiving or customer service. So if you have a question, you are driving in to ask

I am a novice and recently purchased a firearm for home defense. I went in with an idea of what I was looking for, but that is about it. After a minute or two of looking around on my own, Luis M helped me narrow down my choices and come up with what I was looking for. He showed me several different options, patiently going back and forth between several as I changed my mind.... He also walked me through the process to complete the required forms and inform me of the process. When I picked up my new purchase, I needed several other items...case, ammo, etc. The gentleman who helped me patiently spent his time, walked me through the store, educated me, and hooked me up with all the accessories that I needed. This place is open, clean and welcoming. The staff I interacted with are friendly and knowledgeable. I am happy with my purchase and look forward to going back for any additional purchases, and to utilize the range.

This place is top notch. I could spend all day looking around at all the cool things they have here. They keep the place super clean and every single employee I talked to was nice, friendly, well-informed and not a single person was condescending. The handgun range is awesome, so are the range masters, especially Jason. He came over and gave me a quick pointer on my grip and I instantly shot more accurately in smaller groupings. He sent me on my way with positive reinforcement and told me the hours and days he works because he thought he could turn me into a real good shooter quick. I cant say enough good things about this place. It's the only range I'll go to or reccomend. If you're thinking about getting started, GO HERE. I have been a SW member since 2014 usually going to the range once or twice per week. It has been a great experience until recently. Now every time I go there and book a pistol or a rifle range for myself, the target retrieval systems are broken or break during the operation. It happens every single time!!!! They do not break because someone shot a cable or hit a rail, etc. They just break because of poor quality or poor maintenance. I have no idea who looks after those systems but, c'mon, Shooter's World, if that guy cannot do his job, find a better tech to get it fixed! There are total of 7 rifle lanes and only 1 or 2 are actually working, the rest need to have a battery replaced or something else fixed. This is unacceptable! I know other customers who are really upset by this. Why is it so hard to get things right and make all customers happy??? We are paying monthly fees on time, we take time driving there and still need to wait for 30 minutes or more until one lane becomes available? Instead of investing money into the outside looks and all the bells and whistles, why cannot the managers put the funds into something valuable, like fixing the target systems??? Shooters World owner, please step in and get the targets fixed. Updated on October 26th: The rifle target systems have been repaired lately and are now working properly.

I had an outstanding experience taking a conceal carry class at Shooters World, the team exceeded my expectations! Instructors Drew and Darryn were kind, knowledgeable and patient. I went in with very little knowledge or experience and came out feeling much more confident in both. Not only did they explain in detail all of the safety precautions to take and how to have situational awareness, but also had an instructor from USCCA Rob, that provided additional information and opportunity for further education on self defense, weapons and insurance. Over all this was a great experience from a team working together to provide invaluable information.

I stopped by yesterday to rent and shoot some handguns and was extremely pleased with my experience. The facility is well organized, spacious, and very clean. All of the staff members that I spoke with were great at answering my questions and gave me some great advice. These guys really care about their customers, and it shows. For gun rentals, I only rented the handguns. But they had a stellar variety. In fact they carried every single 9mm I wanted to shoot that day and didn’t have to wait for any of them either. Great experience. I took my son here for his first time to a shooting range and the range employees there gave us 5 Star service! They even gave him free short lessons on shooting a 22 revolver and were helpful when my AK-47 was having issues with the trigger resetting. They sent me to the gun smith who fixed it in less than 5 minutes free of charge. All the while my son was sitting down enjoying their complimentary drinks. I have been to a total of 4 indoor ranges and this was the best by far. I rate this as the Gold Standard of indoor shooting ranges.

Went to Shooters World today to trade a gun back that I bought 2 days ago. Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding, the gun was used, not new, as I had intended to purchase. I have been there twice now. The first time I was blown away by the look and layout of the store. Self Service online waiver application table cuts down on the wait times to have a clerk do it for you. I was firing both an AR and my 9mm Glock and was put in the farthest range alley, which was nice. The Range Safety Officer was clear and concise with his instruction about stowing your gear under your own shelf. All the lanes were filled and working well. I also had friendly help in the retail section of the store. I went back this week and took the HR 218 Class for LEO's and had two great instructors. Mike Sr. and Mike Jr. JONES. They had current, relevant information of other states gun laws and restrictions. Mike Jr. took us out to the range to run our course. The directions for course of fire and range safety were clear and the qualification went quickly.

Yep, like everyone else says, it great! A Disneyworld for gun enthusiasts. You actually feel welcome when you get there as opposed to most other ranges. Specifically, either one of the Shoot Straights. Terrible customer service there. But this place is is top notch. They have a snack bar and a big, clean waiting area that's very nice in case you finish up before your buddy does and a huge collection of guns you can rent at very reasonable prices. Ammo is not bad either. I would say to check around on the pricing on the actual guns. They are not the cheapest around. And they will not move on the pricing. To be fair, its a big flashy place and they have to cover the overhead somehow. Overall, a great place to go spend the afternoon.

Shooters World has a great selection of firearms, accessories, and ammo. Their ranges are the best indoor ranges around and are fully updated. The item prices are a *little* high but not unreasonable and all the staff Ive interacted with are very friendly. This is my "Go to" range for pistol shooting(they also have an indoor rifle range but for that I prefer outdoor.)

He didn't rush us, he gave us so much helpful information, my hubby wants to do a boar Hunt, obviously I was apprehensive, but after talking to tome, the information and knowledge he shared with us is priceless! He was so smart, knew what he was talking about, I now feel so much better about my Hubby hunting a boar. You can tell he knew what he was talking about, answered all our questions, we're city folk, didn't treat us like we were clueless, which after all he shared with us, we kind of were. By far one of the best indoor ranges I've experienced. The staff are very friendly and are willing to help you with your questions. I have found their prices reasonable for used firearms as well. You can bring in your own ammo or purchase some at the counter. The staff are very safety conscious as well. Something that is especially important when considering the purchase a firearm, shooting at the pistol, rifle, and shotgun ranges.

Most of these people writing reviews are just picky ass holes. Pros: rifle range has no wait. large selection of guns, ammo and accessories. Clean facility. Willing to help to the best of their abilities. Cons: staff could use better training. Fire arms are overpriced. Only indoor ranges. This is a shop/range not a damn day care. Also if you are looking to buy a gun do your own damn research. Google is very simple to use. I personally enjoy shooting at this location. I do prefer outdoor but this works. If you have a complaint there is a better way to handle it and not slander a company on a review. Speak to a manager of the person you are being helped by and give feedback to how they could better suit your needs.

Took my late fathers antique 1952 Winchester 30-30 in to the Tampa location. I needed to get it sighted in as it was hitting high and right. I was terrified to say the least, of someone “hammering” on the delicate rear sight of this precious rifle. The gunsmiths were nothing short of amazing. Back and forth 2 times to adjust and tune and I was back at center mass with a tight group at both 50 and 100yds. I am overjoyed that my dad’s rifle is finally accurate. It’s never fired a straight shot as long as I can remember. It’s ready for the upcoming season now. Thank you SO much!!!!

When I visited the location the store was absolutely stunning, spotless, had an absolutely amazing inventory and display and EVERY single employee was friendly and knowledgeable. Having these items at a facility like this is all about convenience, You don't go grocery shopping at 7 11! Great staff from the front desk all the way to the range. I recently joined as a member and it was worth it. The range is excellent and the store has an incredible selection of firearms and accessories. The staff was helpful and very polite and the waiting area by the ranges offered nice amenities. The only issue I have is with indoor ranges in general. Can get a bit noisy with all the lanes occupied and anytime someone wants to use a hand cannon right next to you. the concussion from the muzzle can get a bit excessive. Otherwise, this place is a great experience.

Whether you are looking for a local range or a local dealer of firearms, Class I - Class III, or you are looking to take a class on firearms (safety through concealed), this is the place to go! Not enough good things can be said about this facility -- so much so that I am a frequent flyer so to speak. The range itself is extremely clean and I can say that I actually feel safe when I am there, practicing. The range control personnel are very aware of their surroundings and if you need a bit of guidance, they are there for that as well! The selection of firearms that you are able to rent for a small fee is incredible. All items are very well maintained by the gunsmith on site. The indoor store has a very large selection of different items from the standard accessories, ammunition, handguns, etc. They allow for you to hold the items to see what is best and what you are looking for in a firearm. New and used, Shooters World has it all.

Rental eye/ear protection were in excellent condition and comfortable. The process to use their range is streamlined, efficient, and thorough. I went to Shooter's World this past weekend with some friends to celebrate a birthday. My friend said he wanted to shoot some guns, so I researched a couple of places in the Tampa Bay area, and found Shooter's World to seem like it was the best. We walked in and it is like a candy store for gun lovers. Massive selection of both tactical and practical guns, gear, and accessories. The store is well designed with the storefront in the front of the store, and the range at the back. After being greeted by friendly staff, we were directed to the range at the back to fill out some paperwork. After that, we selected some rental guns and were on the range in about 10-15 minutes, which may seem like a long time, but it was a busy Saturday evening and they were able to accommodate a lot of people. They have 2 ranges, but we were on the pistol range, and were there for a couple of hours. We had lots of fun. We "opened the case" and tried out many different types of pistols. And when we thought we had to go because our range time was up, they said they weren't going to hold us against time if we wanted to stay, which ended up enabling us to rent one more gun. We had a blast (no pun intended), and will definitely be returning in the future. If you have any doubts about which range to go to like I did, Shooters World is the place to go. I can't wait to go back and try the rifle range! When I decide to buy a gun, I am definitely going back to Shooter's World.

Came here for the first time today and had a great experience. Clean and lots of space to move about. Reasonable prices for the range and helpful and knowledgeable staff. Jason and another gentleman were great and did not disappoint. I’ll be back!

UPDATE: Ten stars for Shooters World. They made a new perk for members, free drinks. See photo. Great people, great selection. The 25yard and 100 yard range are top notch. Excellent air filtration on the ranges. You get what you pay for, any new firearm purchase equals lifetime warranty from Shooters World. Most used firearms also have lifetime warranty except for ones that have non factory modifications. If you have to wait for the range then you came at prime time on a Saturday afternoon. You still get a text on your phone when you're waiting so it isn't like you can't browse the store while you wait. I've been a member since 2013 when they opened and hit the range a couple hundred times at least, I've had to wait less than 2% of those times. Members can come an hour before the store opens to hit the range. They close the range an hour before store closes at 9pm or 6pm on Sunday so if you come an hour or two any day before 8pm or 5pm on Sunday there is almost never a wait. Lost a star because they started charging for drinks. Members should still get free drinks. A $1000 platinum membership and they charge still charge $2 for a fountain drink. A can of Coke still costs 50 cents most places. So charge non members for a drink, encourage them to become a member that gets a free drink. Does it matter how much free drinks to members if it drives the number of memberships up just to get a free drink?

Great selection of guns at the store portion of the building. If you shop the members only sales you can make out like a bandit. The range Is the cleanest most well maintained and we'll ventilated I have ever been too in the 25 years I have been shooting. It's a very nice atmosphere and pleasure to be there.

By the time I had finished my third refreshment I realized this place was special. Yes, you could go to another range and accomplish the same thing, but when you come to Shooters World it's more than just a range trip, it's an experience. I had stopped in to get custom ear plugs made (which are excellent) and was astounded at how awesome this facility is, the firearm selection is massive, the staff is extremely friendly and not pushy or arrogant. As a younger guy I've visited my fair share of LGS that treat me like I've never handled a firearm before or can't be bothered to answer my questions. Did I mention the free refreshments or the clean and well lit range?

Went to the Range for the first time here the Range officer was super cool I did something he didn't like and he was super cool about it. I will be back no Range Nazi's here unlike Shoot Straight who yell at you and the place is super clean and ton's of guns and stuff to shop for. They have free ears and eyes if you forget and free soda drinks from the Fountain and one hell of a nice cleaning station to clean up at and the bathrooms where nice. I wanted to add one last thing the air filtration unit must be amazing because I didn't have any gun power in my noise unlike most indoor ranges I go to.

Excellent range and waiting area with free sodas, coffees, etc. Waiting area is excellent for a reason... they can get extremely busy and you can wait an hour or more for a lane if you go on a weekend or prime time. They do have a text notification system which is helpful if you need to step out. Firearm selection is extensive but overpriced typical of most B&M stores... not sure if they price match online but worth an ask. Staff is knowledgeable and typically friendly. Nicest range in Tampa.

It's my 1st time trying to buy a fire arm I heard some good things about this place but I went in trying to talk to somebody the only person that greeted me was the person in the front after that I got no help at all the place is really nice don't get me wrong but I did not feel very welcome especially when I walked up to one of the employees and he looked at me turned around walked back into the office. I was ready to buy but needed a little guidence didnt get it their Re review- I went back a second time and it was a much better experience ended up buying my firearm there after talking to one of the reps that really helped me out. But once I got it I went to the range and got a similar experience as the first time as I stood there for 15 min waiting for help or assistance also calling or email I couldnt get a hold of anyone. But I will change it from 2 stars to 4

I go few times a year. It's a nice indoor range. You typically wait in line to check in, and then if you rent something the rental counter is another wait. The new id card is odd, feels like baggage fees. I'll keep going back, nothing's wrong and it feels safe.

The good: Everyone but one person was extremely nice and helpful. The ranges are really nice and there are plenty. The bad: The prices are egregious. You can buy a new gun for what their used ones are going for. Also, there was a particular young woman there in the range portion of the place that was so extremely rude, I doubt I will ever want to return. It almost seemed like she thrived on making other women feel stupid. I do customer service in my line of work, and she needs some coaching in that department.

Y'know, I wish that this could be a 5-star review but there is one thing that I truly despise that prohibits me from doing so... price gouging ammo. Yeah, I know there's a "shortage of primers" but it's strange that the "shortage" only affects the most popular rounds (9mm, .40, and AR calibers). Anyway, I like to replenish what I plan to shoot so I pay my range fee and ask the guy how much for a box of 9mm. He says "$40 for reloads and $50 for new". How many rounds? One box of 50!!! After my heart attack goes away I pass. Finish my range time and go to the store up front. I ask the guy there for .22lr, preferably in bulk. He tells me $500 for a box of 500 rounds!!!! Another heart attack until I get curious and ask for personal defense 9mm rounds. $100/box of 50. Please, Shooters World. With everything there so good, do you want return customers, or the one time shooter? I'd like to be the return guy but your ammo prices say to me "don't come back"

I never write reviews, but feel this place deserves one. I went there for the first time today (11/8/2015.) I had a very positive experience. Kyle was very helpful and showed me around the place and took me to the range. I ended up renting a Glock 19 due to his advice and went to town. It was the first time I had ever shot a Glock and eventually got some tight grouping. Kyle even coached me on pistol shooting. It was greatly appreciated because my experience with a pistol is limited. Whether you are a first time shooter or a seasoned one, this is the place for you. The range is well maintained and they are very serious about safety. Prices on rentals are fair as well. You can have a lot of fun and not spend a fortune. All of their staff is very knowledgeable too. I will be back for sure. Enter with confidence.

Let me start by saying that Shooters World is by far the nicest gun store I've seen and I've visited many throughout the US. I arrived early on a Sunday morning trying to avoid the masses of other satisfied customers that seem to already call this store a second home. Upon arriving at 9:40 AM (store opens at 10 on Sundays) there was already a line of customers awaiting the doors to open. At 10 we all filed in to see what can only be described as "Perfection". I spent my first hour just roaming and exploring all the store had to offer including the ranges and classrooms. I then took plenty of time to sort through their large selection of handguns and talk to some of their knowledgeable, courteous staff. Once I made my decision on the right gun I was then shown all the accessories that I could add to my new purchase. They helped me select the right laser to fit my gun and my needs and even offered to install it for me. The whole process was seamless and I couldn't have been happier with my experience.

The best indoor range in Tampa. Clean, nice waiting area with free drinks. You can even watch shooters from there if you don't want to be on the range. Range officers are polite and they don't hassle you about your own ammo. Excellent selection of guns and gear at reasonable prices.

Everything is well laid-out and clean, brightly lit. Prices on purchasing items was high. They also give out free coffee and soda and have some very comfortable waiting/viewing areas. Nice touches.

Overall experience was good but not great. From entering the store taking a quick browse at all of the handguns in store section of store before viewing the museum section on our way towards the range. We sign our waiver and liability forms via IPAD. Go to first station and the pitch of how many lanes, shooters and if you have your own guns or gear. We don’t so we rent muffs, pay for target, Jr. gets a pair of cheap eyeglasses and I am wearing protective glasses. I provide my cell phone and they text me when my lane will be ready. Wait time 1hr-1hr30m. So we walk around store again take a picture with Jr.’s favorite gone Sig MPX 9mm short-barrell rifle. Shortly after about an hour after sign up we get the text our lane is ready. We go to station #2 to pick out our gun thinking we would getting one each to shoot. Only allowed one because we are renting vs. owned. If you own they allow multiple guns on board. First gun was to much for my son who is 12 so we switched to smaller gun and caliber. That process took about 15-min off of 1hr time to shoot. The 2nd gun is much better for my son as he can load the bullets, slide the chamber and shoot accurately. My only true complaint is I was only able to shoot one clip my son shot the rest of time. In 1hr yet we paid for multiple guns experience and only one of us was able to shoot more than 9-bullets. We leave to check out and the receipt was not available so the clerk called manager who couldn’t give me an explanation why they could not provide me with a receipt after total bill was $82 for two people to shot and only was really. Eventually the manager was able to break the costs including lane, glasses, target, lane, +costs for 2 people on same lane. My son enjoyed it but if we do come back it will be with our own everything so we are only paying for the lane. $82/hr for his son and himself to shot is a bit pricey...

This has to be one of the finest indoor facilities in the US. Tons of staff, product, and beautiful lanes with decent acoustics. Can be busy (if you go, you will see why). Range prices can be higher than other places, but WELL worth it. Rifle range has a CAMERA for your target with great electric controls. This is the only place I shoot now, and I doubt to find an indoor range nicer than this.

I went to Shooters World after being recommended by several people. I was looking to purchase my first gun and had lots of questions. Calvin was an amazing help. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions and explained things I didn't even know to ask. He didn't treat me like a dumb girl. Shooters world is a beautiful facility with friendly and very knowledgeable staff. I bought a firearm very reasonably priced. Was cheaper online but i haven't had a good experience ever purchasing anything firearm related aside from a magazine or too and don't trust most sites. So the price although $60.00 more was worth it when you factor in the FFL. The range prices are rather ridiculous considering the range isn't anything special. $40.00 for a multigun rental for one hour is very steep. Ammo prices are standard but i normally pick up mine from walmart to save money. To me if you are going to shoot, there are similar places for much cheaper and you won't have to wait. Honestly the cleanliness and the knowledgeable and friendly staff are the only thing making me consider 5 stars. But with the range prices and it not having anything to justify the price jump aside from free coffee is what puts this review at 3 stars.

A great range with an abundance of choice including a .50 cal. Easy & pleasant enough to pick any fun you want and shoot on the day. Quite worrying that those who have never shot before are literally handed their weapon of choice and left to their own devices and for that reason I’d have like to seen a little more security or armed marshals on the range.

Shooters world is what should set the standards for Gun Shops. The prices are very competitive, the service staff is always there for any questions or suggestions. I took their Concealed Weapons class it was very informative, teaching the very basics to a very detailed "Do's and Don'ts for a responsible gun owner. But the stand out feature for me has to be, the Service, the Gun Smith Staff in particular. The two individuals who have really impressed me are, Justin and Jeff. From day one Justin answered every question I had, being a novice gun owner he was extremely patient and took the time to show me break down tips and cleaning techniques. Every time I visit the Gun Smith desk, these guys continue to impress me, both are polite and try and answer every question walk up customers throw at them. For example, Justin while helping me with an issue, a customer walked up, even though he was helping me he asked quickly how he could help, answered their question and continued to work on my gun, this happened over and over and never did he let anyone wait. He even went out to the Range with me to try and figure out the problem with my gun. Jeff also follows Justin's lead in Customer Service. I have been to other Gun Shops, only to find out the Gun Smith is only there two days a week, or the Counter Staff is more interested in surfing the web rather than help you, that is not the case at Shooters World. After my experience with Justin, I signed up for a Membership, have purchased 3 new firearms, ammo, bags, holsters and spent countless hours enjoying the indoor, air conditioned range.

its a shooters paradise, so much to choose from and see, truly amazing place. staff are excellent, will help with whatever you need. shooting facilities are too notch, just get there early or you will wait. been a customer there for a fe years now and bouth 3 firearms, but no more. their in-warranty is a joke. its basically just the manufacturers warranty, if they cant fix it and the manufacturer gives you the runaround you will be stuck with a broken gun. if you want to shoot, there is no better place. if your gun fails, they will not step in to help you, at all.

Visiting family while in the Tampa area and my brother and I wanted to take our brother-in-law shooting. After reviewing various ranges on the internet, we decided to try Shooter's World. Could not have made a better choice! Shooter's World is a professional and well equipped business. From the staff to the range and merchandise. I called initially the night prior to verify availability and options and spoke with Natasha who is very knowledgeable of their services and products. When arriving the following morning we were fortunate enough to have Natasha wait on use at the range and firearm rental. Explaining that we had never visited Shooter's world and was not familiar with their procedures, Natasha made us feel welcome and took the time to explain the rules, polices, and arrangement of the facility. My brother and I are regular shooters and have been to many ranges and training facilities but Shooter's World was the most accommodating for our needs. Both ranges had a Range Safety Officer on the range to ensure safety as well to assist and answer any questions. Bill S. was in the 100 yard range and very helpful and friendly. When exchanging the rifle rental for a pistol and moving to the 25 yard range, Bert was also very helpful. Everyone we came into contact with was very professional, polite, and knowledge, these few are the only names that I can recall and I don't want to exclude the remaining staff from my review. Great job folks! Two hours, a rifle, a pistol, ammo, three adullts, just over $100. Very reasonable. I think I have written one other review in my life but I felt it necessary to share the awesome experience we had at Shooter's World. We will be back.

Easily the best shooting range in Tampa. I took my father, brother and niece on a busy Friday evening and we were impressed. From the wide range of weapons to the mini-weapons museum to the prep area (complete with big screens, countless chairs and tables for viewing, complementary coffee, concessions, and many small amenities I wish every shooting range had), this place rocks! The facilities are enormous, user friendly, well-designed, and make for an extremely fun experience from top to bottom. 5 Stars all the way and I am not a person who writes reviews often but I recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to shoot, from novice to expert.

The gunsmithing room here might be small, but the smiths are very good at what they do and very helpful. Two different times now they have helped me with fixes I couldn't make at home. Both times the guys were very friendly and the repair was done fast. The range is nice too. Kept clean and there's always an RSO around to keep people safe.

The people running the retail store side tend to be friendly, professional, and capable. The staff running the range, particularly the tatted up ex-con looking female who signs people up for gun range, are increasingly less professional, surly, and not as good as they were a year ago. They need to revamp this with people who have a customer service mentality; the ones now are simply not naturals in this department. They also do not brook any criticism. I got one lane when I signed up with friend, they didn't ask for two, didn't ask if we wanted it all on one card, and generally seemed annoyed that I told them it would make sense to ask for these things. This was on 4 July weekend. This place will lose business if they have unfriendly and rude people working like so many other gun ranges and stores.

I got hit with a $10 ID card last night,I will say this is the nicest indoor range I have ever experienced. I do like the fact that I can take my Barrett 50 BMG to the rifle range. I also like the museum of old military firearms.

Took my wife on 2/23/18 around 10:30am for her first experience with firearms and range time I'm am no expert by any stretch but have some time spent with handguns and shotguns and never have never felt so comfortable and treated with respect as I consider myself a greenhorn. I didn't get any talking down to by anyone or made to feel stupid by any employee which in my experience is rare. Had several employees approach us in the store to ask us if we needed help or if we had questions in a non aggressive manor which was great and the two safety guys in the range were polite and friendly one even asked me if we were having fun as I was walking to my lane with a ps90 rental. With all of that being said this facility and it's staff completely blow "shoot straight" out of the water in every catagory and I will be a frequent customer. Thanks Shooters World

Tonight I participated in the bi-weekly Action Shooting event at Shooters World in Tampa. I had a GREAT time and I believe almost everybody else did, too. In Florida for the winter and planning to do some wild pig hunting, I was looking for a place to recheck zero on my rifle. I discovered Shooter's World. Without a doubt the finest shooting sports facility I have ever seen. Off of Fletcher ave is a huge building with ample parking. It's fairly busy most of the day as it's not just a retail store, there is an indoor shooting range in the back. Head over to their FB page or website, they frequently run specials. We went Monday to take advantage of free ladies day for the range. Normally, a 15 fee, it's waived for women on Mondays. You need to sign a waiver and they will go over the range rules. If you are renting a gun, which is an option, they instruct you on how to use the weapon. And will again go over the range rules. Clearly, safety is very important, as it should be. They offer classes and memberships.

I recently stopped in to check out the store, The Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My Sales Associate David (West I think was his last name) was able to help me determine the right firearm and accessories to meet my needs. David was able to point out the pros and cons of each model that we looked at until I was able to make an educated decision. Unfortunately they did not have exactly what I wanted in stock that day, but David followed up with me the instant that they got what I wanted in. I will be going back in to pick up my stuff!!! Came in around 6PM on Saturday the 11th to try out various .380 pistols in my search for the right one to purchase. Shooter's World was the first place I went due to great selection, prices and top-shelf range. Unfortunately, I was unaware that you are not allowed to rent a firearm if you come alone or do not bring your own. (I normally shoot my HK 9mm when there). I totally understand the reason (safety first) but I was disappointed that I had driven crosstown for nothing. Being the excellent place this is, Josh the Manager asked one of the sales persons if they wouldn't mind being my plus-one, thus allowing me to try out the pistols. Tom accompanied me into the range and provided expert insight into each one as I tried them out, making the test-runs that much better. What initially started out as a let-down turned into a great experience. This is just another example of the excellent service you can expect at Shooter's World. I selected the Sig P238 as the one for me and will be purchasing it from Shooter's World when they are back in stock. Now if I could only be lucky enough to nab the Spartan model!

The employees running the range part of the shop are really immature and annoying. They act like children and make stupid comments that aren't appreciated. Everything else about the place is great I just wish they would have adults running the counter where firearms are at.

I went to shooters world with my brother 2 weeks ago to use their gun range and oh to my surprise what I saw there. Shooters WORLD is rightly named because they have everything imaginable for those who own or would like to own a gun. They have both a standard, and a rifle range indoors. I mean this place is huge. From the moment you walk in the store, you feel as if you are in Macy's, but for gun enthusiasts. There you will find a remarkable selection of guns to purchase, ammo galore, clothing, tactical gear, etc. They even have a section just for suppressors! The layout is amazing with some cool WWI, WWII and other war artifacts. I was visiting my brother from out of town so believe me when I say that I'll be going there again the next time I'm in Tampa.

First off I want to say this is my first time in the store and I was WOW'd by how clean, spacious, well stocked, this store is. (I could go on for days.) Secondly, I was helped by a gentleman by the name of James Gate and I haven't had customer service like he provided in LONG time!!! Big kudos and shout out to him and I just want to thank him and the great staff for making me find the right firearm for my needs. James went above and beyond to understand my wants in needs in what I was looking to purchase and stayed hands on with me through the whole process. Love guns! This is the place for you. A must visit location. Large clean and organizzed building with seperate indoor pistol and ruffle ranges. Thousands of modern sporting and tactical guns and gear in stock. Friendly, knowledgeable, no pleasure sales staff. Even has a military history area containing a private collection you can view. You can easily spend several hours looking around.

Very nice store with easy access right off of i275. Large section dedicated to AR15s and other tactical rifles. Large selection of handguns, rifles, ammo, gun accessories on hand, if you can't find what your looking for ask the staff they probably have it somewhere. Indoor shooting range to enjoy the sport of shooting no matter the weather outside.

Stop with the shooters card. Allow people to shoot braced pistols on the rifle range. Lower your 50$ transfer fee. Then you’d be a 4 or 5 star place. A lot of potential but poorly ran.

This place is decent most times. But I DO come to keep my shot sharp, and SOMETIMES I feel an off vibe from a few of the gentlemen there. Like they're bothered by my presence. Anyhow, It doesn't bother me none. I'll continue to spend money with them. As Long as they keep what they're thinking to themselves .

Nice shooting range, their prices on ammo and guns tends to high. Their FFL transfer fees are the highest in the area $50 (most are $25-35) unless you're a member than it's $10. The rent all types of guns and silencers which is cool.

I recently visited Shooter World and in a word "Great". The staff was extremely helpful. Greeted by Pam, who introduced me to Mack and Mike. who where extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Even though I had to drive pass a couple of other ranges to get here. It was worth it. I will be coming again

First off, if you are transferring an firearm to Shooters World..it's a mixed bag. One time I had to wait 1 day after the weapon reached the store and the 4473 form completed and the last time I had a transfer, I picked up the gun the same day. I believe Hillsborough county has a 3 day wait period after purchase, most of the transferred items you will buy are online, so by the time it reaches the store you are in the clear of the wait period, but to wait another day for some store policy to me is UNUSUAL, but the last time it was the same day. Both times I was in the clear with the waiting period (cooling off period). On a side note, the computerized 4473 form is awesome. Their website states that a transfer can be picked up the same day or the day after, go figure. Still $25, which is a great price. Pawn Shops in the area charge $50 per transfer. The store is GREAT, helpful and friendly staff. They move a lot of inventory so there is no negotiation in price. I would consider their pricing scheme, $50-75 above their competitors in the area for similar firearms. I do not like the fact that they charged a premium price (above MSRP) for items in the store during the Gun Scare. For instance: stainless C-Products Defense 30rd mags were marked $49.99 during the Scare and now they are marked $19.99. You can sit there and talk about supply and demand all you want, but to me that is wrong. Stick to stores that didn't price gouge. But sadly, most to all gun stores in the Tampa area did this. They are getting more ammo in stock, but in no way will they ever beat Bill Jackson's selection for ammo. Range is awesome, the best one I have ever been to, PERIOD. Gunsmithing services are limited, but whatever they cannot do, they can refer you to somebody in the area that can. Customer service is a great, let me explain. I went in there today to buy some accessories and my hands were getting full, a sales associate brought over a basket so I could put my crap in without me even asking for one, heck I didn't even know they had baskets! When I did my first transfer, started the process, it was extremely busy in the store and the young lady that was helping me forgot about me and took some guys on a store tour. Well I explained to another person what happened and they quickly took care of me and YES I still had to wait that extra day, but I got a free range card for the first person completely dropping the ball. Knife selection is ok and growing. They sell mostly Kershaw, SOG,and Benchmade, but their Benchmade selection is very small. Spyderco would be a good addition if anybody from the store is reading this. Only two places I know that have the higher end knife selections are Shoot Straight in Clearwater and Bill Jacksons It is a new store and I am quite impressed, they are always changing items in the store, adding stuff etc. They have little additions that are awesome and could go un-noticed. They have a selection of Blackpoint Tactical Kydex holsters that are top notch and best in the business. You gotta look at every isle people :) Galco kiosk is a huge PLUS in my book! Great American Company, wish they would cut down on that Drago Chinese crap, but they have a Florida office. Can you support American companies if their products are made in China; yes to a certain degree, still not thrilled. Would like to see more Eagle Industries, Eberlestock, SOE, SO Tech, and Spec Ops Brand. Gun selection is VAST. Location is nothing to be desired though, its near 275 on Fletcher Ave. You need a gun just to be in the area haha. But its a new trend, cheap real estate, great facility, a destination venue. Look at the Dimmitt luxury auto dealer in Pinellas Park: Bentley's and Aston Martins in a cr@p hole, but great inventory. Overall a solid 5 out of 5! Oh by the way, if you are a gun store owner and happen to be reading this, might want to take note. Customers are tired of your sh!tty customer service. These people actually get it :)

Great place, Tim at the gun repair was very helpful, experience and accommodating/hospitable. The place is full of guns obviously and well-stocked. A candy/toy store for adults, range is huge with a nice stock bar. Make sure to bring a partner for rentals.

Enjoy spending time here shooting. It can be very busy at times. Brought my son with me 1st time, teaching him how to shoot. Some guys come in with FULL AUTO directly next lane blowing fire down a 25 yard range. We left...there needs to be more separation than 2 feet from a weapon of this caliper & management should have rules of 1-2 lane separation when a fully automatic weapon is being fired. Just to dangerous in my opinion in a 25 yard closed range full of people...

Love coming to this shooting range. Plenty of lanes and knowledgeable friendly staff. Guests can watch their party shoot in the safety and convenience of the lounge. They have complimentary coffee, tea, and soda while you wait. Also have a wide range of guns, ammo, and other supplies.

Pros: clean air conditioned range, lots of lanes, very nice atmosphere, *most* of the staff are helpful and friendly, range rates are decent, large selection of rental guns. Cons: long waits on weekends/holidays because its so popular, firearm and ammo prices are slightly higher than smaller shops/online, they do not special order weapons for you. Summary: As good as it gets in the city of tampa, great place for first time shooters/buyers because of the non-intimidating, high end atmosphere, large selection of rental guns, and reasonable rates. Try to avoid going on weekends and holidays if your not willing to wait in line for a little while. Their firearms are a bit more expensive than smaller shops but they do make good on their lifetime warranty and have repaired or replaced parts on my and my freinds weapons purchased there on two different occasions free of charge while we waited. There are a few gun jock type emloyees but thats pretty much every place ive ever been too (particularly the guys in the tactical counter for some reason), if you get one of the snobby ones just walk away and ask someone else for help. Also their acessory aisles are pretty lacking and their membership prices are a bit high in my opinion.
